I like this little store. It’s a call-back to the old days, the mom-and-pop days. A disappearing breed, really. Seven-Elevens have driven most stores like this one into extinction. I don’t know how this little store has survived, but I’m glad it has, and the little neighborhood business district on 12th Avenue is better for it.What makes this place different from a Seven-Eleven? What makes it better? Well, it has its own look, and of course that’s nice. You get tired of the same corporate designs, or at least I do!It notably has a selection of interesting homemade-looking take-out foods, and these generate good word of mouth. There’s deli sandwiches, empanadas, burritos, bread, cookies, also fresh meats and cheeses. They have imported specialty items, such as sauces and pasta. There are locally-produced gourmet items, too. The most fun? A wide range of unusual candies, treats, and confections, more diverse than the usual Seven-Eleven, more even than a Safeway or King Soopers. There’s a Post Office in the back. That’s a hidden gem. People who wait in line at the Cherry Creek Post Office must not know about this little USPS satellite station. There are all the basic groceries, too. The staples - frozen, canned, bagged, boxed. It’s a clean place, spiffy and orderly. Okay, the fresh vegetable shelves always seem to be a little sparse, but the other shelves are well-stocked.Some people have complained about the prices. Others have complained about the customer service, especially back at the Post Office desk. I’ve never had any problems, but I’ve heard enough that I’m cautious.Overall, it’s a good store. The Twelfth Avenue Business District, at least for these two blocks, offers a nice mix: three restaurants, one hardware store, one laundromat, a realtor (or two?), a coffee shop. And this little grocery. It’s an important part. Let’s keep it here.
I love my neighborhood marketplace! Theyre so helpful that they got me an Priority envelope for the post office line, even though its separate from their business. Going above and beyond. (Also, their local Colorado groceries and goods are worth checking out!) Thank you!
I honestly cant rave about this place enough! Not only are the offerings super handy in a pinch, but they also have some awesome fun items (delicious empanadas, high-quality pasta, lots of hot sauces, etc.). Whats more, their staff are above and beyond. Stephanie at the post office (YES, THERES A SPEAKEASY USPS!) is always calm, helpful, and super efficient. Anthony is always kind and welcoming. Were so grateful to have this spot in our neighborhood. Thanks, 12th Ave Market!
I just went to this market for the first time yesterday. I was very impressed with the new ownership. The owner just took over this market not to long ago and already making a big impact. His store selection is perfect for what you need. He also will stock the shelves with items that you request. I hope the best for him and hope his market does very well.
I love love patronizing and shopping at 12th Ave Market! Its wonderful to support an independent locally owned store like this. I so appreciate the fact that they take care to insure all customers and staff have masks on during these Covid-19 days. The most dangerous thing for me is there huge candy selection, but thats on me! I encourage all to shop at this great market!!
Great to have an alternative to soulless convenience chains in the neighborhood! The employees are always personable, everything is neatly stocked and parking is never an issue. They have a lot of usual items but also help support local companies and family owned businesses. I’ll continue coming here as long as I can, thanks 12th Ave Market!!Edit: They now have great prices on an awesome selection of beers. Love this place
Love this market! They have an awesome selection of goods. The customer service is great too.
Cool store but employees wear political masks. I dont give my money to democrats . Glad i learned this before i spent too much time and money there.
They are just right down the street One block from My Apts easy access two get in and out For the Handcapia Disabled thank God.
Minimal and extremely over-priced selection, terrible customer service, and dirty.
The Co-workers were so amazing!!! They helped me get the mutiple bags situated on my arms as soon as they heard I was walking home 😆 They were going to carry them to the car for me! So sweet!
Ive rarely bought anything in the market, but their full service post office is great. Very short lines and helpful staff make it a pleasure, avoiding the need to go to the PO at Marion and Colfax.
Great people great serviceLots of smiles
I love this place. The people that work there are great very friendly. The place is perfect for a little neighborhood grocery store. Plus the post office is right there in the store.
Convenient plus it has a limited post office, staff is friendly.. would have given 5 stars, but items are pricier than 7-11
My fave neighborhood market!
Easy and convenient! Good place for mail drop and otherwise! Pretty Good Service!
Would give 0 stars if possible. Place is a plague on Congress park. They are so cheap they actually send customers to other businesses nearby for basic things like a piece of tape or scissors. They wont give quarters even if you buy something, and I think they have recently taken over the laundromat too because I see people getting chased out of there trying to get quarters from their machine. Ive seen them tell people to ask Zorbas for quarters. Their prices are exorbitant. I am personally sick of being told I cant mail things 1 minute past their drop box hours despite them still being open and the mail being ready to go. I wish they would go out of business so a company that actually cares about the community could take over. Nearby businesses and the community are tired of their rude and cheap behaviors. Will be driving out of my way to avoid giving business to this store.
The convenience of a local neighborhood market WITH a post office inside is invaluable! I stop by all the time for late night runs and last minute items. Owners and employees are always kind and courteous and prices are reasonable. Support local!!
Post office, interesting little shops, convenient and healthy options.
So nice i go there bcuz there nice and they have great food items small store just footateps away from youre door u can get what you need in a bind they have it all no parking just walk
The prices are high, the service is poor, the post office isn’t open, the owner is a real POS, and there is a $5 minimum on all purchases, to include the post office. The machines at post offices are going to be not only faster, but less expensive, and won’t sit there and antagonize you while you try to not only use the post office but buy products as well, and at the same time.If they don’t want your business, why go in? There are other places close by, like sprouts, or King soopers. There is even a real post office just minutes away by the cherry creek mall.
Customer service was great and they were all helpful in directing you to where to get the items that i needed.Thumbs up
Friendly neighborhood store!
Always sweet people working here
We love heather and jack so much! And so does Harris :)
I mean, its 2020. Can $5 MINIMUM FOR CREDIT CARDS sticker go away? Its the reason I chose to walk for 15 minutes to 7-Eleven most of the time.
Comes in handy. No one ever answers the phone!!!
Love this place! Has just about everything we need and the staff is amazing!
Sells cigarettes, is within walking distance of the botanical garden
Literally the greatest grocery’s store in Denver! Owners and staff treat you like family.
The owners/workers there are always super nice and helpful. Its a great neighborhood grocery with a convenient post office located inside as well. And, they sell real-sugar sodas (yay!)!
This place is so convenient and the people working are very courteous. I did want to note the hours noted by google look incorrect, most weeknights the store closes at 8 rather than 9.
Great selection of beer and wine.
Very friendly staff. Nice neighborhood store prices are a little higher.no different than 7-11.
The best store in the world - bet on it.
12th Ave Market and all of the employees are fantastic! Always friendly and helpful ... and they know my dog by name!!
Close and convenient
Great friendly shops
We went to this market yesterday and when we walked in the woman, who appeared to be the owner, was berating one of her vendors! She was using very vulgar language and being very cruel. The situation was incredibly uncomfortable and immeasurably unprofessional. We left without making a purchase.
Fantastic local market
Love this place!!
Come here for Blue Belle ice cream served in a cone!
Very convenient!
