Prices are awful but lowes/home depot is 15min away. Please stop charging 60% more than other retailers!
Make you wear a mask or won’t serve you cause I guess they’re smarter than the gov. Had to stop in to grab some Tapcons for my job site down the street. They have a sign that says “no mask no service” and if you don’t wear one the employees will cry or call the cops. I guess some hardware store owner is some really big genius and has some data that he’s not sharing with everyone else. Only reason I bought anything here was cause my company was paying for it or else I would have gladly drove out a little further to Home Depot for reasonable prices and most of all no masks or mask police. Definitely not coming back.
Older gentleman treated my 97 year old father really bad almost would let him return a brand new part that didnt fit. The lady at the front desk was horrible to each of us on several occasions. Theres only one nice helpful guy there at the key counter.
I had to show the help 3 times what I was trying to do. He wanted to argue about what I said instead of listening to me the THIRD time. And this was after explaining everything to another employee who had to get this argumentative employee.WILL GO ELSEWHERE FROM NOW ON
They always have what I need very friendly staff
Key cutting master! Been coming here for years - same gentleman cuts my keys every time. Ive never had an issue through at least 40 sets of keys. Ive been elsewhere for cuts throughout the years, as necessary, and its common to have issues every once in a while.Im still amazed that Ive yet to have a problem with a single key by this dude.He will even cut key shanks for customers when the shanks themselves were not purchased in-store, for a fee. Definitely helps the small businesses around, when in a pinch for a cutter.
Great store. Owner is super nice, all the employees seem happy, great atmosphere. Store is really clean, has a ton of items in stock compared to most other hardware stores, became my favorite store during Covid.
The Staff are very helpful & knowledgeable
Pandemic is over peeps. Show a little courage and believe that vaccinations are working....just saying
Absolutely sorry I bothered to drive out of my way to this store. I usually like to shop locally. Of the three male employees I tried to get to assist me, one in his eighties(?), One about 18 and another who would not even acknowledge my presence I am so glad I didnt waste my money here.I wanted assistance with small cabinets and hoping to find something for a bathroom. I received NO help! As I made a minor purchase I mentioned to the cashier that I had intended spending a lot more money. Her attitude matched the three males I encountered. She obviously didnt care and in my opinion felt I was wasting her time. This happened at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Thursday the 6th of August. I can see why Ace hardware is seriously going under. Maybe these four poor excuses for employees are waiting to be laid off and hopefully collect extra money from us essential workers. Management obviously doesnt care. Will NEVER go back.
Good products good service 😁😀
They had an oddly varied selection of small sheet metals and bar stock I needed.
Everything is locked up, overpriced and theres like one employee. So shop here if you want to pay 30% mark-up on everything, have to wait long times and get assistance for about half the items in the store Only use as a last resort. It will probably close down.
I come to Ace so I dont have to a bad experience like ay Home Depot, but the girls you have working at the register are doing nothing but complaining about their jobs and the customers.
Horrible service. Rude members. Save a few extra bucks by going to home depot or lowes
Helpful staff here. Took me a couple trips, but they guided me to the right components for my bathroom fix! Thanks a lot for the guidance!
Store is not stocked and dirty also staff is rude and short when I asked for help.
Great experience, didn’t even know they had personal services such as getting custom glass cut I needed a replacement one for my door. They were able to provide service on the spot and I got my replacement glass within minutes! Will start shopping at Ace more often than other hardware stores, very personal and convenient! Thank you!
I waste more time waiting in this understaffed store than I do when I drive all the way to Lowe’s. I prefer to support local businesses, but this place is absolutely the worst. I live 3 minutes from this store but from now on I’m going out of my way to a big box store.
I like to know whats the purpose of the plexiglass at the counter exactly does? Is it effectively serve its purpose. Is the world effectively in fear now? Got your mask with you?
I just left this store after the manager Nate was extremely rude to me. I won’t ever return to this location. I came in to get a fitting for my propane setup. The first employee was kind and helpful and Was trying to find my fitting. Meanwhile the manager, Nate, started looking on the computer and said the part is no longer made. While he told his employee to go get another fitting I was attempting to explain my propane setup as he interrupted me and said in a very condescending manner, “if you would just hold on...” at which time I had enough and asked what his problem is and told him he’s being very rude. He then asked me why I’m talking to him like that. Very weird. I told him to relax as he stared me down in an aggressive manner with both arms stretched out on the counter. I told him I’m a customer and he’s being very rude. He didn’t seem to care. I asked for the manager and he looked at me again in an aggressive way and said, “I am the manager!” At which point I gave back the fitting and used a few expletives before exiting and confirming I’ll never return, where he then stated for me to leave then. I was not rude until he was rude to me. I asked another employee for the store number and his name and will be filling an official complaint. This man does not deserve to represent ACE Hardware. If this is how Nate treats his customers, I feel bad for the employees. I can’t imagine how he must treat them.
There is an older man here who should not be in customer service nor retail. Very rude and unprofessional. Will take my business to another ace hardware as it seems likely the management has no problem with poor mismanaged staff
I walked into this store this morning, politely asked for assistance to get a product I need. The women directed me to isle 16 to grab what I needed. I approached another employee behind the counter asking him for the same product, The store clerk raised his voice immediately asking me to leave the store because I wasn’t wearing a mask on my face. He was disrespectful to me right when he looked at me, he told me to get out of the store 3 times and I wasn’t allowed to purchase my item. I then asked him if I give the lady who nice to me up front my card and tel her the product I need can I wait outside while they grab it. He was rude and said idc. I left the clerk alone walked up front gave the clerk my card she wrote down what I needed and I proceeded to wait outside till she brought me item. As I was waiting 4 cop cars pulled up and detained me. They said the store clerk called them to come out cause I wasn’t wearing a face mask and wouldn’t leave... The cops came, they analyzed the situation ran my ID. While I continued to wait outside, 3 cops went back inside the store (NEITHER COP WAS WEARING A MASK) they were in the store for 10 minutes and finally gave me my ID back and said I can go home. I will never go to a ace hardware stores again in my life! Racially profiled! I am African American btw.
Possibly the worst Ace Ive been to.Not to discredit the staff, who were friendly and helpful. But the store is unkempt, and lacks any sort of appearance that theyre trying to keep it stocked. The aisles are bare, and half of the items hanging on the pegs look like they havent moved in years.Probably the biggest drawback of this Ace is that all the hardware is behind a counter. So you have to explain to a staff member what youre in need of and they need to go back and get the bold/fastener/whatever for you. This is great if you know exactly what you need, but awful if youre like me and need to browse everything to look at your options.I understand this was probably done because of theft since the store is located in a pretty crummy part of town, but its a huge negative for me.Try Mile-High Ace Hardware on 104th. Its very clean and the staff are just as friendly, if not more so.
Love going here. Their staff are always friendly and very helpful. Their services at the hardware know their stuff. I call them the doctors. They surprise me. Ill explain what it looks like or what its for or what I need and theyll take it from there.
Bad customer service, prices incorrect. They follow you through the store like your going to steel from them....
Have been shopping here for over 20 years. Always get friendly assistance finding anything I need. They have earned my business and I will continue to support my local store. Otherwise the only choices we will have will be big box stores and Walmart. Spend the extra nickel per visit, save 15 minutes of your time, and keep these guys in business!
I actually went next door to the plaza Latina but since they are not on Google Maps my phone decides to ask me about Ace Hardware. I do know this store the owner is cool and finally but I dont like the way Ace Hardware is set up I know the store better than the people that work there because I have gone here for years but their staff harass you right when you walk through the door and walk down the aisles if you need help thats fine if you know the store and you dont need help then they should leave you alone. I understand people like Ace Hardware because its an old company like Sears was but they are too proud of their prices and thats why I dont shop here any longer
This hardware store never ceases to delight me. Friendly staff who knows their stuff; I can always count on them to provide exactly what I need. Even the younger folks have a surprising amount of know-how, and when they dont know, they refer you to the right person. The only downside is a small selection, but Ive been told theyre working on that.
There is a older man that is rude everytime i go in there and should not be in customer service. I do not recommend this store to anyone anymore.
I have been going to this family run business for 32 years. They have come to my aid on so many occasions with their excellent advice which more than justifies spending a bit more. In the long run, I save money because repairs get done correctly on the first go around. They have also provided some innovative things to try like using a windshield repair kit to fill in a crack on my kitchen counter in lieu of an expensive repair. It worked great. They always carry that one item that no one else does. They are always patient and kind no matter how bizarre my explanation of the problem is. Thank you so much for so many wonderful years of service.
This is basically a neighborhood Hardware Store. Its close by for emergency runs or you are in a middle of a project. Most people know they are more expensive then other stores. Lately I have noticed they are getting more competitive. If you need advice or need to find something they are the best in this area.
Store closes at 8pm, well they decided to close by 7pm today. Must be nice being paid to just sit on the counter and be on your phone
Not the cleanest location but they do have a decent variety of tools/hardware... Besides, I cant remember the guys name, but the gentleman in the back was very helpful to me when I had some questions about a water shut-off valve. I actually went to the north location first (off 104th), and they were of no help. These are initial thoughts and based off one visit, but as far as this location goes, Im pretty happy with their service so far.
It was a great experience.
I wouldnt recommend this location to any of my friends or family members. A tool broke within 30 minutes after I purchased it, I tried to return it with the receipt & the manager/owner Nate refused to refund me & then blamed me for the product breaking. If youre looking for reliable tools, please purchase your tools elsewhere!PLEASE LOOK AT THE REVIEWS BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE & A TRIP TO THIS LOCATION, I WISH I DID BEFORE SPENDING SO MUCH MONEY THERE!!
I have made the mistake of coming to this store a couple of times. They keep all the metric bolts behind the counter unlike every other ace hardware store out there. Took a employee 10 minutes to tell me that they were out of a M12x1.5 30 which is a incredibly common bolt. Drive the extra five minutes to go to a different Ace Hardware.
If I could give it zero stars I would. Every time Ive gone into this place theyre short and unhelpful. Just today I went in to purchase an item and was paying split tenders. My card wasnt able to be read by the machine and in order to enter it manually a manager password was required. Instead of making ANY effort to get the password they refused the sale. Never would I think that a business would so easily turn down a customers money. VERY disappointed
The employees are always helpful but of course the prices are a little higher which is understandable. This was my review from years ago. It is no longer the same. The employees are now so rude I will not go back to this Ace Hardware which I have been going to for over 25 years
I have shopped at this store for 20+ years now, and would rather drive a little farther, and pay a little more to go here than to go to the big stores. I have never made a visit here without being greeted immediately and given necessary assistance. On many occasions, I have received extra tips from employees that Im sure have saved me much more than the little extra I spent by shopping here rather than somewhere else.
Worst costumer service I’ve ever received.
I just left there, my first time at this Ace Hardware. Usually I love Ace stores and have had very good experiences. Not the case here. They keep most of there fastening hardware behind the counter where customers cant get to it. I was looking for a very specific part and I was waited on by a young man in his teens to early 20s. He just couldnt help me at all and had no idea what he was looking for. I asked for somebody else to assist me and was told basically, No. I asked if I could just have 30 seconds inside this ridiculous secured area to locate my part and was again told no. I left without my item that Im sure they had. I will never return. Very rude customer service!
About 20% higher than the Arvada Home Depot thats 5 min away and they wont price match. Sadly, its definitely worth the drive to the big box stores. Girls at the front are friendly and theres always someone close to help but the managers just hover awkwardly like a bad used car salesman.
I hate to give only three stars. Its obvious that this location has been here a long time, and hardware stores are increasingly a rare thing. Its not their fault, really. It must be that they have such a problem with theft that theyve had to move all their nuts, bolts, and whatnot (hardware) behind a counter, such that you have to describe what you want to an employee, so he can go get it for you.Still, this detracts greatly from the experience, and precludes the visual reminders of other tidbits I need to get to complete other projects. So, sadly, as a hardware store, this one rates barely adequate - three stars.
My husband and I went in to buy a drill and some other tools. They followed us around the whole time watching us like we were going to shoplift. And when we asked about the drills she said they are behind the counter because people steal. We were very offended and embarrassed. We wouldve spent at least $300. Racial profiling... Bottom line...
Good local hardware store. They have all the basics covered, and of course it is great to support the small local businesses.
Very nice old school hardware store. Very helpful, I like it better than big box stores.
Good service and product
The front door is very unfriendly NO BIKES! NO BACKPACKS! NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS!Then I asked the cashier about getting a fishing license. She didnt know what I was talking about. She asked another person who said NO!The website says they sell licenses but they obviously dont!I dont recommend this store and I will never return here.
Cant say anything good about a business where the employees follow brown customers through the aisles to the point of embarrassment. We left completely empty handed even though we intended to spend a couple hundred dollars on hardware. Least I can say is theyre definitely an all American business.
Wow..I can see why this place is rated so poorly. I walked in looking for a specific item and was basically condescended to by the floor staff... I had specific dimensions and materials in mind (that I have purchased from previous ACE Hardware stores) and I was told that they didnt exist by this staff and literally scoffed at when I insisted that I purchased the items in CA and AZ previously...
All the help you may or may not want, while priced for convenience... I have been here a hundred times and will be here a hundred more. Not the selection or competitive price of the other big box stores, but they get you in and out in 2 1/4 minutes with what you need. Best part is, Im out the house door, in and out before my wife is off the phone with her family, and back home finishing the next project!
Rude staff from the moment my boyfriend son, and I walked in. Then my son grew bored and was wandering off. We called him back to us only to have the lady who was helping us go over and instruct my son to get back to his mom and dad. The next voice I hear is the other woman working say Dont make me come back there. By now I am horrified and upset that this stranger said that so we picked him up and left. I would not give this location any money.
I hope this store closes because this store made me feel like I was going in there to steal something they made me put my backpack on their counter and then they followed me around like I was some kind of thief and I told them that I am fine and I know where I am going I don’t need you to follow me around then someone from the store told me to leave and I said I am here for some wire and I found it I can’t believe I can’t walk into a store like yours without feeling like you all think I am there to steal maybe because you all think I am Mexican but I am not I was born here bad store and I hope you close I will go to Home Depot where you can walk in shop without being harassed
Ive been going here for years, the staff is always helpful and great customer servive, i reccomend this store to everyone, as long as you are nice, you get it back! Great place!
Nobody wanted to physically help had to find solution on my own
Good hardware store with fine staff that helps their customers.
When you don’t honor the hours posted on your door there’s something wrong. I called and confirmed what time they closed, got there 5 minutes before as I needed to run in for 1 specific item and the had the CLOSED signs on the door. The cashier looked at me and shook his head.TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.
I went in to buy nails and I was harassed by an elderly gentlemen that followed me around the store as if I was going to steal something. I’m a 30 year old adult, so I was offended to say the least that he would assume I didn’t have any money to buy nails. Won’t be coming back ever!
Great store and friendly staff. Great place to go for screen repairs and for when I need a rug doctor rental.
Employees are always friendly very helpful always find what Im looking for
Nuts and bolts are behind the counter. Dont waste your time at this Ace. The one on Sheridan with a post office is way better
I wish I could give this establishment zero stars. I just received bad customer service at the Ace Hardware store in Denver CO (off of Pecos St) and the manager (Nathan)treated me disrespectfully and wasnt upfront about their return policy. Im unhappy with my experience and shocked to see how any business can treat their customers this way. Its unfortunate that this experience will prevent me from going to any Ace Hardware in the future.
Staff treated me like I was a shoplifter - wouldnt stop following me or bothering me when I told them I was just looking. Felt very uncomfortable and ended my shopping early and left the store.
Rude and unprofessional staff. I received no assistance while staff were talking amongst themselves and when I left the store the girl at the register told me to Have a nice day, or not
Usal was a great help. And nice.
Product in stock and reasonably priced
Great customer service and had exactly what i want at a good price
Great customer service, kinda has that small town charm too it. Ill will be back!
Always friendly staff and very helpful to find everything I need!
I hate being followed around in a store and hounded about what Im looking for. Maybe I just want to look.
I always like going to Ace Hardware the sales people are very noligebul.you walk in the door and they are right there to assist you with a smile
Employees didnt hesitate to ask if I need help finding things. Cashier was very friendly as well.
Really you close at 6pm. On Saturday. You want us to come your store. Not goto big department stores like homedepo.
Store supposed to open at 8am, we waited until 8:30 because the employee was LATE.
Staff on duty very helpful.
To expensive
Had what I needed
Great staff love this place
Truley helpful.
Good People
Workers are very rude no knowledge of what theyre selling I will never and I would never ever tell anybody shop there and Im definitely not shopping there anymore Ive never had such a bad rude experience
Very helpful! Thanks!
They know their stuff!
Great customer service
Too many stuck-up people and yuppies
Staff treated me like I was an inconvenience to them
