Metropolis left a wonderful first impression. The baristas seemed eager to serve, friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to chat. My mocha tasted exquisite. And I loved everything in the shop, from the abundant natural light to the plants to the fun wall mural. So, I simply had to return to this fun locally owned, Denver coffee shop.

My favorite place on the broadway 🎭 neighborhood, the place is electric ⚡️ and love the down to earth vibe with the 🪴plants. the people here are unique and they do a great job with the coffee.

Okay coffee shop. Feel like the baristas at all the locationa work by themselves and take it out on their customers. Definitely not coming here . Felt bad and gave a tip even tho the service sucked.

Awesome coffee shop. Cool music and artwork, and stylish decorations and furniture. Baristas always serve up lovely latte art. The question of whether Metropoliss committment to doing only a few essential cafe beverages REALLY well, rather than offering a catalog of syrups and specialty drinks, comes down to a matter of opinion. I always love my drinks. I do wish the shop had better AC/ventilation (it can get stuffy, especially upstairs) and were open later than 6pm. Great hangout nonetheless!

Perfect espresso and a small selection of donuts in a sunlit setting. Also free WiFi of course, but lots of people seem to come to hangout and spend time together. Baker (the neighborhood) is cute and one of the less crowded, up and coming areas of Denver.

The BEST coffee Ive had in denver so far... and I am THE coffee expert. Have an Honduras coffee WITH A SHOT OF ESPRESSO. some sugar. Dont put cream... be real and TASTE the grind. Highly recommended.

I love the different house made syrups for the lattes and the iced teas have a great depth of flavor. Amanda is a great barista as well!

Surprisingly deep space with plenty of seating, even a small second level. Serves coffee from Herkimer, empanadas from Maria Empanada, and pastries from Revolution Bakery. Staff was super friendly, great quiet spot on South Broadway.

I really like Metropolis Coffee for their great coffee and snack options. This location is super close to lots of great things in Baker. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because I dont think they *ever* clean the floor, and after a few years that just grosses me out. But they have wonderful coffee!

Great local coffee shop on South Broadway and not far from other great eateries such as the Denver Biscuit company. The espresso here is exceptional and smooth with alternative milks such as soy or almond to choose from. They also serve cold brew coffee and iced drinks. There is a good selection of seating including an upstairs area with a couch and one large community table with a bar like setting. This place is very laptop friendly with plenty of tables and a bar area with electrical outlets. A+

Great service with an inviting atmosphere. I didnt experience any of the coffee snobbery mentioned by another reviewer. However, I do agree that the ambience is slightly hipster-ironic, but that doesnt bother me. I have been looking for a coffee shop that serves Toddy-coffee (cold brewed) since I moved here. Now, Ive found one.

This place smelled amazing from outside and delivered on my expectations of it tasting great as well. I had a chai and it was perfect. There were a bunch of things to read and games to play in the loft upstairs and downstairs there was a variety of art for sale from local artists. The prices on the art were perfect, and I would have bought a few if I had been able to take them home in my suitcase on the plane. Would definitely return!

Snooty and surly staff. They make great coffee but their staff is so unfriendly they make you feel unwelcome so its an unpleasant experience getting a coffee here. Ive had a barista here argue with me when they made me the wrong drink. This morning the barista was so unfriendly that she looked positively angry to have to make me a cappuccino. I guess to fit in here you need to be a glum, surly millennial so if you dont look like a hipster then you are not welcome here and will be treated accordingly. But, the cappuccino is good!

This is my favorite spot to post up and work with a cookie and a coffee. Friendly staff, great upstairs area, plenty of outlets, and fun people watching on Broadway.Small selection of wine and cider is nice for afternoon meetups.

If you need a place with great coffee, light bites, friendly staff as well as a productive work environment, this is the place to be! There are plenty of plugs to use your laptop, and an additional upstairs area if you get distracted by people ordering/coming and going. They also typically have a unique alcoholic drink such as mulled wine available for when you are done with your work!

Coffee here is amazing but the gentlemen who works there not so quite pleasant. He makes me not want to order coffee there the couple of times I’ve gone in he just has an mean Attitude as if he doesn’t want to Serve you coffee!

Yummy food and very pretty cappuccino. Sadly the cappuccino was terrible. My Husband ordered a regular coffee. He did not drink it. We poured both drinks out. The coffee smelled and tasted much like a Folgers or something to that bean quality. Im hoping they just had a very off day. Maybe a bad shipment? I will try them again. I did have an empanada and it was delicious.

Metro is right by my house, and I love the convenience of riding my bike up the road to get a coffee. I am slightly biased, but this is my favorite coffee place in Denver. Delicious cold brew, fresh chai, and if you get there early enough, you can get a fresh, hot empanada in the morning. The vibe is very chill, and the upstairs loft is a fun place to relax and get some work done. They even showcase local artists work.

The decor is decent, location is convenient, and coffee is passable but thats really where the good ends. The Baristas tend to be not very personable, and the music is often too loud to concentrate. The selection of food is pretty lacking, as well. While the upstairs area is an excellent place to work, its ruined by the constantly blasting music.There are much better options in the area, such as Bardo, or Mutiny. While I often hesitate to recommend it, Starbucks might even be a safer bet if you need somewhere to work/study/concentrate.With an attitude adjustment and an adjustment of the music volume, this would be 4 stars for sure

Terrible coffee. Ordered an iced Americano that turned out to taste like warm, beige water. Cashier dude was arrogant for some unknown reason. Acted like I was inconveniencing him. I buy coffee every day around this neighborhood and its good everywhere else. Shouldnt take 30 seconds to get a large Americano so Im not sure if I only got one shot??

The lady employees are friendly and helpful but the guy employees have a cant be bothered attitude. Coffee and pastries OK but was twice disappointed with ground coffee I bought for home use.
