First words out of the mouth of Joe, Rampart Inside Sales Rep, when I first met him — literally the first words — “didn’t I already tell you you can’t shop here? You need your plumber.”33% of my interactions at Rampart were stellar; that’s one of three. First time I called and third I stopped in — both interactions with Joe. Rampart in Colorado Springs welcomed me; Ferguson suggested Rampart is where I should check and they’d help me; the manufacture recommended Rampart — all surprised this Rampart refused me.Best experience was with Chris. Travis was a great help too. Chris in particular saw the care and effort I put into my project before walking in — the model part I needed was not available but Chris, with his extensive plumbing experience, offered a comparable model and overall adjusted my plans slightly to be more effective. I thought Rampart would be my preferred Plumbing store; it won’t be. And I’ll likely ask the plumber on my next project to buy elsewhere.At Rampart there’s a 66% chance I’m told I’m not welcome. How’s that after you decided to take a controlled project to focus on understanding the plumbing in my house?I get that Rampart is usually only wholesale but will still help out homeowners. I appreciate that because specific products just don’t exist at Home Depot or Lowe’s. Just be consistent and don’t sometimes make a diligent homeowner who’s repairing his home feel unwelcome and like I’m about to be thrown out because I’m not a card-holding member.Not cool Joe.

Called first to see if they had a part I needed for my plumber the next day. Said it was in-stock and quoted a price (sales rep said he was putting the pieces together to make what I needed). Told I was on my way (live about 35 mins away) and when I arrived, no one had it ready and then I was charged almost double what I was quoted 1 hr before. The attitude was this is what the price is and the sales rep that I spoke to on the phone didnt even come out. I asked about a garbage disposal, was told to that 1/2 HP would be sufficient. A rep brought one up and left it on the counter for me to check out with, and I found out it was only 1/3 HP. No explanations, other than the 1/2 HP was out of stock. The whole experience left me feeling like a bait and switch. So sad that people whove supposedly been in business for such a long time, dont appear to quote prices properly.

Waited 20 minutes on the phone in the plumbing parts department, someone answered the phone, said something extremely fast and hung up the phone instantly. Called back a second time, and happened again. I am taking my business over to ferguson supply. This is my third time this has happened to me with rampart. Reason Im complaining. Terrible customer service.

Rampart is a pleasure to deal with the staff is generally very knowledgeable about what they stock and if they don’t know the answer, they will either get the information needed or pass it on to the appropriate person. When I call into check stock, they get me the information I need fast and I appreciate that they are open on Saturdays till noon. My only complaint is I wish they had an option to check stock and order online when they are closed.

The heating guys are amazing. There staff is extremely knowledgeable. If you need boilers, pumps, tanks, fittings, and piping, and many parts. They have them. They know piping, pumps, recommendations, and are there for all boiler needs. Great customer service. As I reputable contractor they have 99% of the parts we need to get our jobs done.
