McMillan offers excellent customer service. They had a power vent hot water heater in stock for immediate pick up. Just what I needed when I needed it! They were knowledgeable and just friendly and helpful in general.

The prices are reasonable and its a good place to get brands not found at chain stores, however their sales staff is not knowledgeable about their products. Make sure you contact product manufacturers directly to get info as the sales staff may give you misleading information.After a long discussion of how I needed a hot water heater that had a separate internal coil for space heating and looking at a number of different water heaters that didnt have one, I settled on one that was taller than my space would fit requiring me to excavate an area of basement. It wasnt until I started filling the tank with the supposed side loop plugs out that I found there was no internal loop.Had the salesperson I dealt with been at all knowledgeable about one of their best selling combination water/space heaters I could have saved quite a bit of time and money.

What a horrible horrible horrible place to do business! There are so many other good, honest companys out there that deserve and appreciate your business, this is not one of them. Trust me, go somewhere else! They will rip you off, and hang you out to dry.

Went in for a toilet for my guest bathroom. Got one that has a 1000-gram flush rating for $53 and tax.They had a line of customers in plumber uniforms at the parts counter, so I did take more than a few mins for someone to come over to the outlet section and help me.My advice: go past the showroom, thru the outlet section (where toilet deal is), and go around the corner to the parts counter and wait with the plumbers, and youll get a good deal a little faster.

Went in for a replacement water heater. Picked up a Power Direct Vent. They had my AO but the pricing and warranty were better on one of their exclusive brands. Time will tell...got 5 years instead of 3 on the warrnty though so, we shall see.

Actually I met the SAME individual salesperson who helped that other guy Bob...as I mentioned his review when I came in the showroom to try to get extra extra discount....Guess what?That salesperson HAS PROOF that mr ollett was well informed VIA EMAIL EVIDENCE informing him that he would need to include the optional part for his particular application, which he declined/ignored. (Go in yourself and ask for it from the showroom guy...Im sure hell show you too if you bring it up! That bob guy is a classic case of some dude not listening to the data, then getting mad at the person he ignored. Know the type?)Whats more, I hear from my circle of designers that mr ollett isnt one to always secure permits for his work if he considers it a side project! Cant trust rumor...butAS A PROFESSIONAL, NOT PULLING PERMITS DISGUSTS ME!Anyway, the individual salesperson in question was extremely helpful for ME.He helped me match old Crane urinals that are out of production but he had a few still for me..saved my butt!He did take a little longer than I would have liked as I was in a rush, but hey, he did dig up some old models that havent been made for years...so I guess I can forgive the extra 20 minutes.UPDATE: Went back for a garbarge disposal, sink and faucet. disposal was $5 less than bigbox, had a ton of stainless but would have had to order granite or farmhouse, but I did get a pull-down faucet better than I found on online elsewhere. I stand by my previous overall rating.
