I have to say that I have never met a more honest and knowledgeable mechanic as I found in Bob. He was honest, trustworthy, thorough, knowledgeable, took time to explain what was wrong with my BMW X5 and then gave me his honest opinion as to what I should do once I returned back to my other home up north in Virginia. If you are searching for an honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable person to take care of not only your vehicle but you, give him a call and go see him and his lovely wife Debbie. Bob seems like a really nice guy. I went to him several times for some minor issues in a 98 Jag, all of which were fixed perfectly. Then I started having AC issues. He charged it and and added sealant a few times and told me if that didnt work, he would need to replace the condenser. Estimated cost for my 98 Jag car was $2000. He said part was expensive plus he had to access the condenser from the inside of the car, a very labor intensive job. Car guy buddy was skeptical so I took it to his mechanic. They got me a used one AND replaced it for $580 total. Total time was a few hours. Not sure what to think.

This place is a rip off! Bob has no business dealing with high end cars! Great guy and a smooth talker but incompetent. No sense of urgency. I do not recommend this auto shop to anyone! Trust me...

My Neighbor mention this place. My 2000 Porsche Boxter only has 20,000 miles the horn was not working he did and oil change and fixed the horn very reasonable price compared to the dealer and other shops around. Bob is very honest and does great work. I have used quite a bit of places to get unpredictable quotes and Quilty of work. My car will only go to this shop from now till the cows come home.

D&R is the most reliable repair shop i have ever had the pleasure of doing business with . and i know, i have been in the auto collision business for over 40 years

I have a 1983 944 Porsche. I called this place to check my AC, find a brake fluid leak, and replace a hood release cable. When I brought it in, Bob, the owner, assured me he would take care of them. He called back at the end of the day saying it was ready. He asked me if my AC had been switched to R134. I said I didnt know. He said my AC was good, that he disconnected my brake fluid sensor, because it was bad, and fixed the hood release. He charged me $115+ tax. When I drove home the AC still wasnt cold, and when I looked at the dryer, I noticed the Shraeder valve cap was missing. Then I noticed that the Brake fluid sensor, which was working fine when I brought it in, was broken and disconnected. The hood cable wasnt replaced but rather was jerry rigged with a screw. This place is a joke at best and a total scam at worst. I am dumbfounded at the incompetence. DONT GO HERE WITH ANY CAR.

Bob is certainly a nice guy, thats why I gave him a second chance after a mistake they made on a repair (which I had to get fixed at another repair shop) . 2 mistakes in 3 visits is too many. I wouldnt recommend D&R.

This place has some of the most rude, and dishonest workers. I was racially profiled multiple times, and judged like I was below them.Would never work with again.Also, the quality of their work is questionable at best

D and R has an honest, fair, reasonable, and all around great owner. Robert, the owner, is the lead technician and has his wife running the desk and taking calls. I have been a customer for almost 9 years now. I had taken my 300zx there as it wouldnt run correctly. Upon reviewing the vehicle (which mustve taken a few hours), Bob found that the timing belt had slipped. I was lucky to still have a running car as mostly when that happens, you at least bend a valve or throw off cam and crank position sensors. He fixed the problem and addressed all other issues and gave the vehicle back the next day. I was in college at the time and he knew that so he barely charged his cost. I later begun working for him as I am certified and needed money for college. I have worked at many other shops and never have seen someone with so many repeat customers. Bob is a religeous man but not the type that just says that. He lives and works in a manner that he can always feel good about his life and work. Through all the time working there I never felt that we did wrong by anybody. Always fair and always honest. He has stayed in business because people realize that an honest tech is rare. With Bobs 40+ years turning wrenches and diagnosing, he can and will find any problem. He doesnt charge for a lot of services that other shops kill customers check books with.
