I ordered a cake, I asked them to write congratulations. I ordered a white cake with purple petal flowers with green leaves. When I picked up the cake it had yellow flowers and said Congrats, the lettering was off centered and printed instead of cursive.

They require you to sign up for a membership to get sale items,but you have to fill out an application,then hand it in to customer service which they have to enter your info before you can get sale items on sale! So in other words,u cant get the sales, so i will no longer shop there!!!!!! I have been a loyal customer since my family& I shopped there for 50 years! Well no more will we shop there!!

Chief is right around the corner from me but I would rather drive across town to Kroger or Wal-Mart because the prices are way better with the same quality. Do not recommend this store to anyone struggling with the pandemic or low income.

They have oreo pudding in the deli you can ask to get some I usually get half or a fourth pound highly recommend its delicious. They had these cute thanksgiving turkey cookies and I got one it was adorable.

They locked us out of the store eventhough they had 5 minutes left to be open. Was not able to purchase any water and my kids and I went thirsty that night. Thanks chief....

Great produce & deli selections! Employees are still very friendly & helpful in spite of grumpier shoppers.Prices are also still reasonable in a time when so many stores are jacking prices now.I make a couple quick visits a week bc its so convenient living just a few blocks away.

SOMEONE IN THE FRONT END OF STORE HAS CERTAINLY DROPPED THE BALL .. TRULY CONCERNED ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THIS STORE

Sorry we shop once in a while when they have sales on meat. That being said they used to have outstanding cookies but that has gone wrong. They no longer make them there they have them brought in. They really messed up now the cookies are simply horrible! This is because the family that bought it shows they care about money not the customers.Chief for decades had the best cookies not anymore, yet they still charge the high cost for horrible cookies and low grad ingredients.

They do have items that are hard to find. Defiance Ohio isnt some remote outpost in Alaska. Bring the prices down a little.

This is a great little hometown grocery store. It may not have all the latest, fanciest brands but it has fresh produce and the best meats in town. Thats why I continue to shop here.

Ive always liked chiefs. They can be a little expensive at times but they make up for it in quality. Especially theyre meat. I use to live in that neighborhood and chief was one of my favorite stores and still is.😺

Chief use to be one of my favorite places to go but its become somewhat pricey and my nieces and nephews cant get the free cookies in the bakery for some reason? However. They always have quality deli meat and cheese. I prefer over walmart any day. Deli wise.

I love coming to Chief for my Grocery needs when I come to this area. Much more personable minus a few workers. The store is always clean and the Aisles are wide enough to push a cart either way and still have room

While Im seldom in Defiance, my go to place for grocery and supplies is always going to be Chief. They have been great for decades and theyre still awesome today. If youre just going for a grocery run, skip Walmart and come here: youll be much happier.

Close and high quality. A little pricey but you can catch a good sale often enough. Nice people and great in store deli/bakery items.

There were no self checkouts open and only one lane register open. I had 2 items and on half hour lunch break barely made it back to work and didnt even get to eat my lunch.

I HAVE NOW STARTED LOOKING OVER MY RECEIPT BEFORE I LEAVE THE STORE AS I LIVE ABOUT 5 MILES OUTSIDE OF TOWN AND USUALLY WONT GO BACK.I CAN ONLY SHOP THERE IF SOMETHING IS ON SALE BECAUSE OF THEIR PRICES,BUT I ALSO LIKE TO SHARE MY BUSINESS WITH OTHER STORES AS I HAVE NO FAVORITE.I GUESS I WILL JUST KEEP WATCHING RECEIPTS.
