I have always loved Aldis, just have not been in one for a long time. This location recently went through a renovation, and Ive gotta say the improvements are amazing... So much more room to move around, and things are far more organized than before... Great staff, and very clean...

Not much different from the other Aldi stores in Lucas County, except for the friendly staff. Much more friendly and helpful staff. I nice change from the big city and bigger attitudes that thought they didnt need to help or answer questions.

This store in Defiance is really nice. Plenty of stock. Great looking produce. Great prices. The guy who checked us out. Lighting fast! Friendly!

Love Aldi, wish we had a bigger store. They did add on a little to our existing store, which we really appreciate, but we could use a bigger one. Love so many of their products and their cashiers and other employees are so friendly and helpful.

Fast, friendly, and helpful staff as always.Prices are not as good as they used to be but great deals can still be found here.

Prices are better than other stores, easy in and out. They have no self check-outs. The cashiers are fast and friendly.

Update: since this crazy pandemic, hours are not updated which is highly inconvenient when we live two cities away!!! So for everyone coming here from outside defiance and the aldi staff never bothered to update their new hours anywhere online, I have included an in person picture as we are now on our way to a better updated store taken December 3rd 2020 at 8:25 am. Other than the misinformed hours from their website, I keep my original post. I just changed the star rating from 5 stars. Great layout, friendly staff, fantastic quality products at fair prices!

I like the food selection but the customer service was awful not happy

Very well organized now, but the staff seems not to be as friendly as they use to be, seems they just want you yet your stuff and get out.

This store was organised so well. I enjoyed the larger cart that actually allowed me to get almost all my groceries in one cart. The cashier was extremely fast. I was only a little bummed there werent so many available boxes for cans. Other then that an amazing aldi.

The first time i went there and last. This cashier was so rude to my grandmother who just had surgery. She acted as if she had 0 time to do her job correctly and even said to another employee that she was gonna be busy for awhile because we were stupid and didnt separate our items. This woman has no right working with people

I really like shopping at Aldi! They have great vegan, gluten free and non dairy options! I appreciate their Fit & Active brand with snack options under 100 calories. They have great organic selections. I love the cauliflower chips. Oat, coconut, almond and soy milk as well as affordable dairy milk. Believe is or not, they have great frozen sushi! Im obsessed with it! Their cheese, seasoning and spice selections are quite impressive. Ive never purchased from their wine selection, but Im told theyre delicious. I buy frozen shrimp and fresh salmon filets from Aldi. The staff are kind, courteous and COVID conscious. If you need a cart, youll need a quarter... the carts are custom linked together and only released by inserting a quarter... this is to ensure you take the cart back and not leave it in the parking lot... I always take my cart back, but leave the quarter in for the next person to use. You also have to bring your own bags, or purchase reusable bags at the store. You bag your own at a table provided at the front of the store, or at your vehicle. I just separate and bag things up at my vehicle... if the weather is nice.I almost forgot to mention, they also have seasonal non food items.Im always shocked with how low my total is at checkout. The may not be name brands, but who cares. It all tastes great and it goes further! Happy Shopping!

What to say. Discount grocery store that offers low cost food and household items at over half the cost of other retailers. I can get me 6 gallons of milk at less than the price of 2 at other places. Well worth the price of gas to drive from Bryan.

Aldis always has interesting new foods to try such as varied flavored rice mixes, veggie burgers made from lots of different healthy alternative ingredients and a good selection of organic foods. I love their produce picks of the week. Their seasonal merchandise sections are convenient which saves me from having to search in a big store and there is always something different that I find useful. I also like the way they keep their main staples in the same place and dont move them around all the time like big department stores. If I need something in a hurry, I know just where to go to get it.

They have great prices and the store is clean. Just wish they had more than one or two cashiers on Saturdays. Otherwise I have always had good experiences at this one.

I love Aldi. I go to the one in Defiance. The prices are greatThey even have some gluten free item and some meatless burgers. My favorite is that they have seasonal items from Germany. The store is always clean and staff is friendly

It was evening hours employees were cleaning, restocking and organizing. Store was quiet,well taken care and winding down for closing. It was a pleasant comfortable experience.I Always find a reason to go back!

Used to be the cheapest store around then all of a sudden the prices got steep! Not a good outlook at all

The new remodel to the store gave it a much cleaner and brighter look. I wish it was a larger store, but they use the space they have well. Low prices for good products. Also, they have a decent selection of imported chocolate that is superior to most American mass produced stuff.

The only downside is how they rush you through the checkouts and sometimes the line is long. But this place is great. We shop here weekly and it saves us so much money.
