My visit to Monroe in Defiance, Ohio was the most pleasant automotive repair experience in many years. The manager and the staff are knowledgeable professionals focused on making timely and necessary repairs at a competitive cost. I recommend this facility to anyone.

They quoted me $29 for an oil change, total with all the hidden charges was $36. Included oil disposal..really? I can take oil to any number of places to get rid of no charge! At any rate they can keep their oil and hidden charges. I wont be going back!

They are a rip off one guy gave me a quote then the next day when I tried to book it the other guy gave me a total different price then when he called the guy who gave me the quote that guy lied and said he told me it would be like a thousand but the day before he only was gonna charge me 400 to replace my condesor in my truck lol thats crazy if you want great service go to napoleon auto care there they did it for 400 lol these guys at Monroe are cons

I had an issue with the oil levels in my car, I barely made it to Monroe. They looked at my car, diagnosed the problem, sent me to the Chevy dealer down the street, and let my car sit while I waited for a tow truck. When I asked what I owed, they said nothing. Great service, absolutely trust these guys!

We where on the road hour and a half when our van started stinking and smoking. We googled the nearest auto repaire shop and this one came up. Turns out when we got an oil change a few days before, it was over filled and the oil was leaking out making the smell and smoke. It would clear itself up. He didnt charge us anything and balanced the air pressure.

Great staff, was there stranded with vehicles breaks were dragging. They pulled right in looked over found problem fix it and I was back on the road..great help appreciated very much...thanks again guys

Called Monro and spoke with Jeff on a Saturday to get a set of tires put on. He was very helpful and polite. Took my car in and he realized that I had a bad tire rod and he fixed my muffler, sounded like I just drove it off the lot. will definitely be going back

I just adore these guys. Ive been coming here for about 3-4 years now, and I have never had an unpleasant experience. Theyre professionals, and they take pride in their work. I really appreciate that they take time to educate you on whats happening, whether its at the desk inside or even taking you out into the shop so they can show you. There are some that have been there long enough that they greet me by name, and recognize my car when I pull in. Theyre straight forward and talk on your level of understanding. I just got a new car this week, and I know that they will help me take good care of it for years to come.

In the process of moving, my car broke down on the side of the highway. Worst nightmare. Smoke billowing out of the hood, it was a mess. Found out the issue was the radiator. On an already busy day, they got my car in, diagnosed the problem, got the radiator fixed, and got me out in around an hour. The car drove the rest of the way fine. Superb service. Recommend highly.

I am in from out of town and I got a flat tire. I arrived here with the spare on. The tire was fixed free of charge because the tires were their brand of tire! Wow! What a surprise for me.Very nice employee took care of me (even if I would have paid).

Had a great experience, well as good as any car repair can be. Traveling through town when I broke down. Recommend a great towing company to get me towed in and able to get me in and out same day for less time and money then I was expecting. Top notch mechanics.

Im very pleased with the service at Monro. I went in for an alignment and they also found an exhaust leak and was able to repair it right then. Andy was very helpful in getting me in right away over my lunch break. I recommend Monro for quick service and a fair price.

The mechanics here certainly know their stuff, and are willing to help someone out when needed. The guys were able to fix my wheel bearing, front brakes, change the hardware for the back drum brakes, and take care of my brake fluid. The staff is knowledgeable about the issues presented to them, and can help you out when youre in dire need. Whenever theres an issue with your car, they can explain the issue to you in laymans terms, so you know exactly what was wrong and what they will do to fix the situation, and they have no trouble going above and beyond to earn your trust.

Blew a tire on my zero turn mower on Labor Day. tracked down replacement tires locally & MONROE was happy to install them for me - very fast - and offered to do it free of charge. I gave a tip afterwards since i was so appreciative. Not a job you can do yourself without special knowledge & tools. This was the only shop open - but i couldnt have gotten better service anywhere else! thanks Defiance Monroe!

I moved to a different state about 11 years ago and had to find a reliable car repair shop that I could trust. Can across this place and has been going ever since. They are honest, hard working and extremely friendly. I have taking all my car to them and they know my family by each of there names. LOVE THESES GUYS!!!!

They do honest work at a reasonable price. Thats really all you can ask for, right? The lobby leaves a little bit to be desired as far as basic amenities go, but I didnt wait long for my oil change so it wasnt a huge deal. When the work was completed everything was clearly explained.

Put big gouges around all 4 of the rim on my 2016 escape and rounded some of the lugs. Will find out tomorrow what they are going to do fix there mess up.

Did great work on the exhaust on my son’s car. Provided reliable advice on our options and performed the work quickly and reliably. Prices are very reasonable.

1977 Chrysler Cordoba...Oil/filter change, replaced all 4 tires, and front end alignment. Took some extra time, as the toe was way out. But it worked well, which is a very welcome change after dinking around the past few years with Michaels Tire Plus while getting absolutely no results.I would recommend them here at Monro.

I went in to get my brakes done... oh so I thought.... it was a simple rock that was stuck that was making all types of noises thankfully not my brakes. The workers were amazing in kind. I am a single mom with no clue about cars at all... they could have screwed me over and said they fixed my jeep & charged me and I wouldnt have a freaking clue... they even found an issue with my jeep and referred me to somewhere else. Kind and honest crew! Plan on getting all my oil changes there now :))

Absolutely blown away by my experience at Monro Mufflers. I was getting new tires put on my Jeep at Wal-Mart when they told me a lug nut was over torqued and they would not be able to get my wheel off. I called Monro Muffler and the guy said he could get my Jeep in that day (Saturday), which was a major help. I couldnt imagine they would be happy about the job. Instead they were nothing but helpful, even completed the job for cheaper than anticipated. It was my first time using Monro and they went over and above to make sure my vehicle was taken care of. Well done.

Went to this place to find out the cost of changing my front rotors and brake pads and the driver side hub assembly. They wanted to charge me 500 bucks to do it. And that is just the labor cost. I told them I have all the parts to get it done. Thats 250 bucks an hour. I will be getting in touch with the better business bureau about this matter. Went to tireman in defiance and got the work done for 185 total. Will never go to Monroe muffler ever.

Came in for a flex pipe repair. They got it done quick here and didnt cost as much as I thought. Nice guys here too.

I had a wheel hub assembly replace at the Monro Muffler Brakes in Lima. When they were doing the job, they accidentally broke the sensor. They replaced it with an aftermarket sensor which caused my AWD/VSA service light go on. Since I was staying in Defiance visiting family, I didn’t want to have to drive back to Lima, so I took it to the Defiance location. I was able to talk to the manager Jim, who looked at it and said that they needed to order an OEM part from Acura and would warrant the work. I was thankful that he provided a solution. I wasn’t planning on going back to Monro based on my experience in Lima. But I will be returning for future work.

A gentleman came out to assist my wife in the Walmart parking lot because the starter was hung up on our Buick Rendezvous. It didnt take him long to get it broke free but he didnt even charge us. We could not be more appreciative of that kind of friendliness.

Excellent service I had my tires balanced here and they did a great job on it they even rotated the tires for me free Im glad I went here to get my tires balanced I highly recomend that you go here to get your vehicle serviced. They went the extra mile to give you a nice quality service while I was wating for them to start working on my truck they asked another person waiting for their truck to get done they asked him if he wanted his tires rotated the guy replied by saying Yes but if you dont have time for it dont worry about it. but they did it for him you know why because they wanted to give a nice quality service to him.

Went to get brake booster replaced before a snow storm so I had my 4wheel drive vehicle when installed brake pedal no longer reached brake light sensor so my wife drove home with them stuck on had to wait three days till after storm to return up there with someone following me only for them to fix that issue in minutes then suggest buying another sensor. Go somewhere else

This place has messed up 2 of my vehicles. They either dont know how to do allignments or their machine is junk. The district manager is a rude a-hole!! Good luck getting anything resolved once they mess up your vehicle because the district manager will denie wrong doing and call you a lier. Both times they messed up on my vehicle i took to a awesome garage in bryan ohio that fixed monroes mess.

I worked there for several months. Trust me if you think this is a good shop you are a fool. Greg is incompetent to say the very least. If you at any time thought you were getting a full synthetic oil change...No you didnt. You may have paid for it but you didnt get it. And as far as brakes go...If Greg touched them you got screwed. Greg would rather order the cheapest brake pads from auto zone that he can and charge you 5 times what they cost rather them do a quality job. Trust me I can tell you first hand...you are better off going to walmart and oddly enough that was the last place Greg got fired from.

*BUYER BEWARE ! ! !*Came to Monro yesterday and was told I need new wheel bearings. $807.00. I pulled out, drove home and my left rear brake was smoking. I came back today and they said the rear caliper was shot and that it was a complete coincidence that it broke when I pulled out of here. (If you dont know about cars they had the caliper off yesterday to change the bearings) They quoted me $284.00. Normally Id do something like this myself but I was supposed to leave for Connecticut 2 hours ago. I asked how much the caliper was and they said, $206.47. A guy from Autozone brought a caliper down to them, so I went on Autozones website and a caliper is $64.99. I have done A LOT of business here in the past and they just lost a loyal customer. They took no ownership for the problem at all.
