Great service, I purchased a 2009 Toyota Tacoma from here, there was no pressure and the guys treated me fairly. I was easily financed through Space Coast Credit Union, Autosports of Daytona is on their trusted dealer list. Now this situation here is what proved to me that these are stand-up, honest guys.I picked up my truck and drove from Ormond Beach to Miami and back without any issues. I noticed a squeaking noise so I took it to my trusted mechanic, the truck was in great shape besides a bad wheel bearing. I wasnt upset and a couple days later Skip called to check on me and the truck. I told Skip about the wheel bearing and without question he offered to pay for the repair. They had me drop the truck off at Tire Kingdom, the repair was done. I can feel and hear the difference while driving, the whole experience thus far has been great.

Let me start by saying if you want to buy a used car check with Autosports and Skip Hammers or one of his folks. Skip puts his personal touch on everything, customer service is number one with him. I bought a 1994 LS 400 and the car was not only everything Skip Told me, but Skip had much to cordinate to make this deal happen. You see I was shopping from South Carolina and had to really depend on the honesty of the dealer and Skip did not disappoint me. He also handled all the extra paperwork I say extra because we were buying the out of and Estate and Skip handle all that, scheduled to hauler to bring me the car, just a good, good experience. I was looking to purchase a Volvo XC 90 and I found Autosports of Daytona on Auto Traders website in the Central Florida area.I contacted them and spoke with Skip. He told me he had several to choose from. I drove in from Jacksonville and test drove a 2007 XC 90 and loved it. I wanted to have the vehicle inspected by a local Volvo specialist. The inspections showed a somewhat worn A/C belt which Skip agreed to replacing at his expenses. The Volvo runs perfectly since I bought It 6 weeks ago. Skip and Autosports offer outstanding service. I rented a car and drove 3 hrs to look at a 2006 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Sport Edition. I spent 2 nights in a hotel and took the 4Runner to 2 mechanics to inspect it. I chose Theresas garage, a local mechanic with a solid reputation specializing in Toyotas, as well as Toyota of Daytona service dept for a full inspection. Both mechanics told me the shocks were leaking. They also informed me of other issues. Before I drove the car, Skip told me the tire pressure light was on and no one knew how to fix it and it was just a glitch. Toyota mechanic found a nail in the tire. Skip had the nail removed and patched the tire instead of replacing it. We negotiated a deal that included replacing the shocks with brand new ones and fix all other problems found. The price ended up being more than the listed price because he was going to do all repairs. We signed a contract and shook hands. The next day he decided he didnt want to do the repairs and would rather sell the car as is to someone who doesnt do research. His reason was that his guy said the shocks are fine. When I asked if I could have another mechanic look at it, he said no. He said he didnt want to put anymore time into the deal. Basically, he pulled out of the deal because he wanted to make more money on someone who doesnt know any better. Not to mention the vehicle also had over 1,000 more miles on it than listed online. Skip and Casey said the only reason the 2 mechanics told me the shocks were leaking was because they wanted to sell me parts. They wanted me to have the money wired to them before the repairs were done and told me I didnt have to give them a check as deposit because they trusted me. Now theyre saying the contract means nothing because I didnt give them money up front. But who pays in full before repairs that were negotiated are completed? Only an idiot. They started talking about putting a cheaper shock system in, not the hydro system that comes with the SR5 Sport Edition - the shock system we agreed on. Do your homework before buying from these guys. Take your vehicle to a reputable mechanic, not just their friend. 2 mechanics gave me the same list of issues and they tried to tell me their guy didnt see those problems. Their guy was in a small shop tucked away in some neighborhood. Obviously they talked to him before I got there. Bottom line is we agreed on a deal, repairs included, signed and shook hands. The next day they decided they could make more money off someone else who isnt smart enough to do research. Their word means nothing. They are shady used car dealers who buy from auctions and try to pass off vehicles as something better than they are. This car also needed new brakes, which they replaced because the old ones were a safety issue. Aside from the brakes, shocks were leaking ($4000 repair thru Toyota), front cover leak ($980 repair thru Toyota), nail in tire (they said the tire light was a glitch) and over 1000 more miles than listed in the ad. Ive always been skeptical of smaller dealerships and this experience just proved they cant be trusted. I spent over $600 renting a car, driving to Daytona, 2 nights in a hotel, 2 mechanic inspections. And they told me they dont want to spend anymore time after they negotiated a deal & shook on it. Its not like they were physically doing the repairs themselves. They just didnt want to pay for what they said they would pay for. I sat in their office while the called around to price out the parts and labor. We agreed on a deal. They backed out the next day because they want to sell it as is to someone who doesnt know better. When I told Skip I wanted to wait for repairs to be completed before wiring the full funds, his exact words in a text message were, My integrity is on the line therefore I stand behind what I say my word is bond other than that what else do we have to go on sorry just the way I do business. Exactly those words. Their word means nothing. Steer clear of these guys.
