Just ate there a few mins ago, It was me and my Girlfriend. Our waitress was Sandy/Sandi. She was the sweetest person ever. She was very communicative and overall just really good. She said it was her first week, but I wouldn’t of even noticed. She made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. We will definitely be back!!!

This is the best little coffee shop Ive been to love the cozy feeling you can read a book. They are all about the city of Huber Heights helping out with school supplies for families in need just all around good place.

Very quiet cozy local coffee shop with nice breakfast selection. The food is not greasy nor oily. The coffee is good, but can be better. Staff is very friendly and the place is worth a visit. The service is a bit slow considering the place was kind of empty. Bathrooms were a bit dirty.

Fantastically designed with a straight forward menu. I was seated and served within 15 minutes. I ordered pot coffee and their special apple cinnamon french toast. The price was normal for the area on what I received and the food was good, maybe alittle more flavoring would have made it perfect. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys American Breakfast and local business owners.

Nestled in the center of town, The Heights Cafe is one of the hidden dining gems of the city. Beating out other local chain restaurants, Chef Jeff serves some of the freshest homemade breakfast offerings in town. A must try is The Usual, with its thick cut bacon and eggs, but ask any of the friendly servers (or even Jeff himself) what other delicious entrees to sample. All are served in a quaint, yet modern, environment that is very local art-friendly. An added bonus during the summer months is the expansive outdoor Farmers Market a short stroll from the entrance.

Great food and excellent service. Breakfast is served all day and lunch starts at 10:30am.

The chocolate chip pancakes and ginger tea were excellent. The pancakes were light and fluffy with chocolate chips inside and on top. I enjoyed my first breakfast here and will be back to try more.

The customer service was amazing! The food was great as well, it didn’t take as long as most people were saying. At most, it took a couple of minutes to be seated and at most 20 minutes for the food to come out. All of the food was freshly made and the coffee was heavenly! Also, the coffee only took a minute or two to bring out. The water was above average for water. My friend also agrees, this place is AMAZING! I would dine here again!

Good food, good coffee, service seemed distracted when I was there. Likely just a fluke. They seem to have a lot of regulars.

I believe this place has a lot of potential, but I think theyre understaffed. The service suffered as a result. The atmosphere was great and the menu was nice, but the overall experience was a little frustrating. I plan to give it another shot in the future; hopefully the service is just a casualty of COVID.

Eat there fairly regularly. Always have very good food no matter what I get. Always a choice for vegetarians also. Staff is friendly and helpful. It’s a small place so if you’re a large group they will get your order as quick as possible. Never had to wait long. Atmosphere is great very relaxing and I enjoy the art work . My go to place to relax and enjoy a great meal .

Food was pretty good. Loved the French toast, and got a side of the loaded homefries, and coffee to drink. Came in a party of 6 (two toddlers) and were accommodated nicely. My only gripe with the experience was the service. We were never really offered any coffee refills until the last 5 minutes of our stay, and one of our table members ordered a caramel latte which was given right before we were paying our bills. After receiving additional coffee we had to request additional sugar and creamer as we were out. Overall, not awful, but not exceptional, either.

Went for lunch. I got the roast beef sandwich and there was not a lot of meat on the sandwich. We ordered ranch w our salad and received fat free ranch. We were really excited to eat there and we were all very hungry but the food was just not that good.Meat on all the sandwiches were cut very thick and appetizing.

They get a 2 stars for effort. I like the idea of a cafe/specialty coffee shop in Huber but this is not going to cut it. Their breakfast was not good, or even average. Those who are leaving those reviews have too low of standards for an $8 omlette. Not to mention their toppings for their omlettes come from a can! Ew. The home fries tasted bland, stale and reheated. Neither one of us finished our meals.After seeing a specialty coffee drink prepared I decided not to buy one either. No water refills offered the whole time we were there.Customer service matches the food, there was minimal effort. 🙄

Came in for breakfast. Three other tables besides ours. Four staff working. Took 20 minutes to take our order. Then another 35 to bring the food out. Orderd bacon crispy got sausage, ordered eggs over medium ( I like to dip my toast) hard fried and brown crispy eggs.They didnt even bother to butter the toast.This was unfortunately my first and last visit.In this economy they really cant afford to lose customers.

Good and fast service. The Turkey club leaves something to be desired, but overall a nice place with a chill atmosphere. Also, they have a free borrow a book/leave a book policy, so you can take a book home to read or start reading it right there. I went around noon and they we not crowded. Got right in.

I ordered the B.L.T after eating half my sandwich I noticed the lettuces had mold. Never eating there again.

Great food, friendly staff! Completely safe environment with tables spaced 6 feet apart and all staff wore masks and gloves while serving. If you haven’t been here yet you should!

My husband and I went to breakfast here this past winter and waited quite some time then his potatoes were burnt and the pancakes were nasty, I believe his term was “salt cakes”. I was not impressed with the French Toast either. Mediocre at best and overpriced I felt! I used the restroom before leaving and they were gross. I know a great company that could help you with the janitorial issues if needed . We love trying new places for breakfast but we won’t be returning.

Absolutely adorable cafe. Love all the art work they hang up here. Free for artist to display their work.I got a regular coffee which was good and the farmstead. It was yummy!

The food and drinks were middle of the road. It has a nice cafe feel but they had an art section where the community can sell their art which was neat. They also had a free book section to read while there. Drinks were nicely explained at the front door if you arent familiar with coffee terminology.

Always glad to get a chance to go to the heights Cafe for the owner Jeff make some of the best omelettes and takes the trouble to get home grown vegetables from the Farmers Market on Saturday to supply his cooking needs.the staff is real friendly and generally will know your name the second time you come there. I know a lot of people have breakfast there on Saturdays with their families from the library next door with the businesses and its a great place to go for breakfast. Next many community groups have their networking meetings there during the week and you cant meet Jeff for good business advice how old was and talk about the future of communities in the Dayton and Huber heights area.

Great place to grab a coffee. I havent eaten there yet but the menue has a variety of options. The staff is very nice and pleasant. Great place to read or surf in the afternoon. Its quiet after 2 p.m. that leaves you 1.5 hours with your coffee as they close at 3:30

The atmosphere is charming, and their coffee drinks look great, but my lunch was underwhelming, especially for the price.I ordered a roast beef and cheese sandwich, and while the cheese came out melted and the bread crispy, there was not much roast beef, and the horseradish sauce was imperceptible. Also, it took 20 minutes for my food to come out when the dining room seemed only half full on a weekday lunch. A table next to me ordered meal sized salads, which looked much better than my selection. Im open to giving this place another shot, but Ill make sure Im not pressed for time if I do.

What kind of self described cafe doesnt have half and half or heavy cream? Id understand if it was a vegan cafe which this is not. The breakfast was average/below average. The scrambled eggs were more of a flat plain omlette rather than scrambled and they didnt even have real butter for the toast. The local art was nice though.

Wonderful coffee and breakfast. Prices are good, food is great, and the artwork is interesting to see. The food portions will not leave you hungry.

Generally like coming here every blue moon. Came today (08-22-20) ordered at 12:30. Didn’t get our food until 1:25. We ordered 2 club sandwiches, kids grilled cheese, and two orders of pancakes. They were not busy at all. Not sure why it took so long to get our food. Waitress did not check back on us at all. This was the first time I got a club. I asked for no tomato. I picked tomatoes off of my sandwich. The meat on the club is super thick cut which is not desirable to eat. Not sure if we will return after this experience. Waitress only came back to the table to bring our check. Terrible service.

Average food. Average prices. Average customer service. Coffee is...average. Food and coffee were a little cold. But service was fast. It’s the only cafe in the area so I’d go again out of lack of alternatives.

This place is horrible. Arrived around 9AM on a Saturday and wanted to get breakfast based on the positive reviews. Only 5 people in the whole place. Food was taking forever and when it finally arrived it was cold and looked like it had been sitting in the window too long. The pancakes we ordered were stone cold and hard. When I told the waitress about it she just rolled her eyes and asked me what I wanted. I said to pay for the coffee and leave and thats what I did. What a joke of a place. I will not be back.

Simple breakfast couldnt get it right. Ordered eggs over medium got them over hard tried to get the waitresses attention she looks at me and then turn brown walks away then noticed that my white toast was actually wheat toast when I asked her about it she said or we had seeds on it she doesnt know that difference between wheat and white bread

Dont serve sweet tea, no other soda beside Coke and diet Coke, every table was dirty with plates of food still on table and only about 4 tables with people still sitting at them. If I could give zero stars I would! Husband ask for orange juice and we got told have to check if its they have some....when she came out the back she was looking at the carton as if she was checking the date!! Horrible place!

Food is fantastic, the service though.... Its hit or miss. Theyre usually better with 1-2 people at a time, but theyre horrible with groups. The young lady there hates doing more work than necessary, will complain and give the stink eye to customers if they get drinks that take more than one step to make (aka more than just pour it into the cup), and is overall very slow with everything she does. The food should come out pretty fast and is great since she isnt the chef making it, but I never tip because shes the worst waitress weve ever had. We only return because once the order of food gets back to the kitchen, its pretty fast (and it doesnt depend on the waitress either).

Great place good food and great service. I gotta say the staff is wonderful. I always bring my daughter and when I order her a hot chocolate they always make it a point to make sure it is a little cooler then Normal so she can drink it right away. And they never complain about her playing the piano.

I didnt get to try the food simply because as the cook was preparing my cheese eggs and sausage he was on a call. The phone went from one hand to the other hand and we all know that the phone carry the MOST germs. When he touch the slice of cheese with his bare hands I gagged. I knew then, I had to go elsewhere.

Food took a long time to get to our table. It was barely warm for all 4 of us. They did give us our drinks for free. But, that was not the point.

I love the Heights Cafe!!!! Their coffee is fantastic!! But the BEST thing about The Heights Cafe that makes it my favourite is the service. Everyone is so friendly, they serve with smiles and they take time to get to know their customers. I love it!! =)

Wonderful relaxing place for me to go and work on my sketch book with some coffee and ok company little whole in the wall small business it dose have a nice local artists gallery where an artist can display work and a person who likes it can buy it. I personally love the coffee(but I love coffee) they have from around March to around may called grog its like carnal roasted it smells devine

Their Au Jus is described as being Awesome in the menu. It was clear and very light brown. It had zero flavor. Disappointed is an understatement.

We really wanted to like this place because its local and has a lot of good reviews. Weve been here twice now and will not be back. The first time we went the service was SO SLOW but the food was great so we gave it another shot. The second time we sat down and ordered coffee... after 20 minutes no one had taken our order. We decided to pay for our coffee and leave. If you have plenty of time to sit around and wait then I guess this place is worth it because the food is good. Just be prepared for a long breakfast.

My family & I usually have breakfast here every Saturday. The staff is wonderful, they have our orders memorized even though there is a steady flow of people through the place daily! And the food is always tasty! Highly recommended!

Its not a place Id recommend for a quick bite, but you wont have a better meal or better service. Get your potatoes Cajun style. Youre welcome.

Nice place - excellent food and coffee. They have a private room in the back for small gatherings and meetings. Service is good. They close in early afternoon so be sure to get there for lunch or breakfast.

We stopped in for coffee to go in the middle of the afternoon on Thursday and Id love to report the coffee and service were great, because this place appears warm and inviting and the menu looks delicious. Sadly though we were never waited on and left. The young woman at the counter acknowledged us and then turned her back to us for 10 minutes while she operated the espresso machine, making two drinks. I have never seen someone so slow on a machine and Ive been a barista myself. When she turned to checkout patrons who had been sitting and eating when we arrived (with no acknowledgement that we were still waiting and just leaving the two drinks to get cold) I realized I didnt have time to wait for her to finish that and then spend another 15 minutes making our coffee, so we left. Im giving the place 3 stars because like I said, its really cute inside and just LOOKS like a locally owned cafe that I would love to love. And I dont think the young woman was being intentionally rude. She seemed inexperienced and without back-up. We may try again when we have time to sit and have a meal.

Walked into restuarant never greeted. One waitress walked past and said it would be a 15 min wait, with 3 tables empty. Food wasnt really good. Ordered drinks then food. The food came out first before drinks. Coffee was average. Wouldnt go back.

So I originally gave this cute place 5 stars a few years ago... It now only deserves 2-stars. The service is slow (even though most of the time there is usually less than 4 tables there when I am there). Servers are friendly but there is always some kind of problem or something is forgotten. The food is usually good but this last time the apples used on the griddlecakes tasted plain and uninspired, I tasted no seasoning. I have been going to this estabishment for over 5 years but I think I have had it with this place.

Very nice locally sourced cafe. Really wish it wasnt in the middle of a strip mall. Chips were not home made kettle chips as the menu indicated-- plain old boring Lays. Pickles also werent exciting like the menu indicated. Service was ok-- young staff seemed to be distracted.

I live in New Mexico now, but when I lived in Ohio, I would go there at least once a week. Chef is great and the food is really good. I visit every time I go back home to Ohio.

No 1/2 & 1/2 or heavy cream available. Supposed to be Late, cappuccino and quality coffees but all they have available is fake, non dairy creamer. Might as well go to Dunkin Donuts for that fake stuff.

Very cute mom and pop cafe. Big portions, great pancakes, and they have a full service coffee bar where they serve Buckey brew which is a great local beanery! However, they(the only two waitresses there were) take walk in(to- go) orders for coffee and food while trying to serve a dining room full of customers. They are baristas, hostess, waitresses, and cashiers. Id say they try their hardest but if it gets the least bit busy, seated people become the last priority. They need some more help! Maybe if they just hired someone to run the counter on Saturdays it would help things run more smoothly. (Especially with the farmers market right outside) But if your not in a hurry the food is great!
