Boston Stoker is hands down, by FAR the best coffee in the area! I love you Boston Stoker!!!

My iced Americano was very disappointing. They do not have heavy cream, stevia, or any other low calorie sweetener available. I first tried their brew black, but it was not flavorful enough on its own. It needed help and there was none available. Name sounds cool, but options to make the drink I want would be cooler.

My first time visiting this location. It was clean and open. Friendly service.

Not sure why, but the place just smelled nice. Sort of a rich, roasted coffee scent with a hint of cigars. Decent coffee too!

They were better decorated at one time, the coffees are still good. And merchandise they were selling was better at one time too. I kind of wish to go back to selling sandwiches.

Nice coffee shop. Been going here for years. Love the cups and board holders they use for large cups if you’re having a meeting.

Went for a coffee and figured Id get a few baked items for me and my wife. The woman that worked there not only rudely rushed me but slammed my purchased items on the counter. I feel if she keeps up this way this place will go downhill fast, and its not the only coffee shop in the area.

What a cute little shop! Be aware, Google takes you around the corner but the entrance is across from the Schuster.

This is Dayton’s best kept secret. It’s rare to find a coffee shop like this in large markets. It’s almost unbelievable that there’s one in such a small city. I drive 15 minutes out of my way every morning, because this coffee makes me so happy. Great people. The beans are key. Nice atmosphere too.

I sincerely love this Boston Stoker location. I spent a lot of time here before COVID-19 turned me int a “work from home person.” The service is just incredible because the staff people are pros. What really sets this place apart is the quality of the coffee AND the teas. There are so few “coffee places” that can do both.

Best coffee ever. With the pandemic, try one of their french presses. Great at home option and they will grind your favorite brew to use with it.

Very quiet and relaxing. Perfect for working or reading a book, while sipping a delicious, warm cup of your favorite brew.

The coffee was really good. The scones need improvement. Almost no flavor, the texture was dry on the outside and way too mushy in the middle. Great prices. The menu is misleading as a 24oz is advertised but the only go up to a 20oz cup.

When you walk in there and you see how much it is per pound you will be shocked but when you buy even a half a pound and try it youll understand why you paid the price! They have this one coffee that I especially love and I havent been there for a while but its called Kenya red eye even if you mix some of it in with your coffee you will not be disappointed

We ordered two French press coffees and were served Luke warm brewed coffee. The barista was clearly checked out for the evening as they were prepping to close although there were still 45 minutes remaining.The store is exceptionally clean and well organized. The service eliminates the initial impression however. When asked to remake the coffee because it was not hot we were told the only option was a different drink because of the time. We are just traveling through but will not stop at this location in a the future.

Got the turmeric cider seasonal drink and asked for extra cider and light ice like I have done multiple times before he said I couldnt have the extra cider because he has to make it by recipe, extremely rude about the situation then brings me out a cup less than half full and I asked him what it was and he once again said he couldnt change the recipe and forgot the apple. I dont leave reviews and usually I get the best service there but I have never met someone there that doesnt care about his customers that much I just think that he needs to figure out his priorities. But other than him I love this place and the atmoshpere.

Just had a great cappuccino and played chess while listening to chill tunes. This place has a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for getting work done or just enjoying a coffee.

The beverages and baristas are all amazing. I really enjoy the unique seasonal specials they offer. They take great care when it comes to making my coffee each time. Great atmosphere, too - perfect for small casual gatherings or business meetings.

Nice shop for a quick pick me up! They do have a great variety of coffee and teas. You can come in for just a cup or a tin. I usually do not like pastries bit there maple pecan pastry that is a nice treat with your morning coffee or tea. I do wish the temperature for the lattes and such were hotter but it was explained to me that they are made just above a comfortable drinking temperature so customers can enjoy them sooner. I prefer a piping hot cup of my daily choice so I can take my time and slowly enjoy my cup. But I sometimes I find myself gulping it down in a hurry before it hits an unpalatable temperature or have to heat it up in the microwave oven. That is my only gripe, so I buy the beans and leaves to brew myself most days.

This place is a little on the high side but let me tell u their coffee in absolutely amazing!!!!! So I would recommend this place 2 all the coffee lovers!!!!!

Practically a daily stop for us. Like a lot of other folks, I appreciate a good cup of coffee and have even developed a taste for the gourmet stuff. Well, I have to tell you, if you like Starbucks ... try Boston Stoker. Ill buy from Starbucks, Kobricks and some of those other places but when I have the choice, Ill drive a couple more miles for the difference. Theres just something that seems higher quality in the way Boston Stoker roasts their beans.

I miss this place. I used to go down everyday on my lunch hour when I worked downtown. The staff was always so nice. They would even remember my name and my drink order.

The employees are very nice. They helped me pick out a new coffee (Grogg) it was great. Good service.

There really are no coffee shops in downtown Dayton in which one can post up to study in.I would not recommend this place for anything but a quick take out.First of there are no free refills, they want 70% of the original price. Next music quite loud so you cant really concentrate and finally theres no free parking, only metered.I highly recommend you take yourself out of the area to a decent coffee shop like 4 Starters.

Located conveniently in between Courthouse Square and the Schuster, this place has a warm, quiet atmosphere. Drinks are made to order and include smoothies and different coffees. They also offer a small selection of pastries.

This place was excellent. The coffee was great, the barista knew her work and was ambidextrous to speed order processing. The cashier knew his pastry bin had nothing with chocolate except a tollhouse cookie, which was delicious. The seating was comfortable. The other patrons were pleasant. Everything was cheerful.

Morning coffee at the bank. Yep, this Boston Stoker location is very clearly a former bank building, right down to the vault in the corner that now serves as the playroom for the kids. Another adult gaming room for adults, plus a small conference room on the opposite side. In the middle, tables for laptops or talking or, heres a radical idea, drinking coffee.

Great coffee house in the immediate downtown area. Great to meet friends or coworkers. Great for holding a casual meeting. Now serving breakfast and lunch items in conjunction with Lilys Bistro.

Went to this coffee shop with a colleague before catching a flight. The coffee area has plenty of seating options. It was very quiet when we were there (2:30pm on a Wednesday). I did feel a little bit like we were interrupting a conversation between the baristas when we approached the counter to order. Didnt necessarily get the warm-and-fuzzy feeling I usually get at coffee shops from the baristas. But the hot and iced coffees were both great!

Reliably good coffee and a decent selection of tea, good customer service, and I have always been able to find a place to sit. Wifi is free, but not the greatest bandwidth. Since this coffee shop is in downtown, they dont stay open late, even though they are directly across from the Schuster Center, and might see some after-show business. Or maybe Id be the only one. :)

Very poor coffee extraction from my double shot. Tamping was almost at a 30 degree angle resulting in an uneven and sour shot. Also not enough coffee was used in the portafilter. Good equipment doesnt cover up terrible technique.

I have been to this coffee shop twice and love it. I usually go to Starbucks a lot but Boston Stoker is a great little place and the drinks are excellent price wise for how much you get!
