5 stars for the ice cream and nostalgia. I remember growing a few blocks south of the Custard Cup. I mowed a large yard. Took me all day of pushing the lawnmower. When I got paid I would walk up to the Custard Cup and get a strawberry shake. Hit the spot. That was almost 60 years ago. I left the area 45 years ago and just moved back. We came this evening because it was last day of their season. I had a vanilla cone, it was good and brought back a lot of good memories. An all around 5 star experience.

Took my son there after shopping tonight and we both got the snickers parfait. VERY delicious and the young man that waited on us made them look very professional and appetizing. Great service! Well definitely be back!

Really enjoyed the custard. Didnt care for ordering through the little window near the drive through, or having to pay cash because the machine was down. But I had a SnowStorm and it was very good.

Review Date: July 4th, 2016Voted the Best Ice Cream in Illinois in 2015! My 5/5 Rating would have to agree.A friend recommended Jarling’s and it has been on my list for awhile. They have only two locations; Danville, IL and Champaign, IL. I am usually never around these areas, so it has taken me awhile for my travels to take me near Jarlings… and good gosh, it was worth the drive!I have mostly visited ‘ice cream’ shacks but this one seems to use custard in their ice cream. Not sure what that entails, but good god, was this ice cream fantastic. Easily places in the Top 5 of my Ice Cream list. If you love ice cream, you owe it to yourself (and your family… and friends) to try this place!

Biggest and best chocolate thick shake ever!! Their selection is over the top large.

Great Ice cream, but the drive through is overly slow. Don’t waste your time you’ll be in line for more than 20 minutes. There also isn’t a menu for the drive so come prepared. Walk up service is wonderful!

Been here twice. A little pricey for an ice cream shop however the ice cream is good. They have there homemade hand dipped ice cream and happy hour, I believe 4 to 6. If your in the area check them out. They are Not open all year round. So try and see them at least once and let your taste buds decides.

My husband loves custard cup, his favorite is the lemon.

The people who work here always work quickly. The only time you really have to wait is if theres a line to order. The frozen custard is excellent, great taste and texture, and theres rarely any inconsistencies. The only thing that I think I could complain about is one particular girl that is sometimes a bit grumpy or impatient. However, overall I really like this place and I encourage my friends to go there.

Awesome ice cream! Cold fudge sundae is my favorite. I have traveled a lot and always search out ice cream shops. Some say they have custard but I have not found any place that comes close to Custard Cup.They have Fast, Friendly service.

Always a good time with the kids. Friendly service and delicious custard. I really enjoy their waffle cones. I usually get a double scoop, strawberry and lemon. Very refreshing.

Very rude and disrespectful management of teens, particularly African-American children.The young man who manages during the daytime is very disrespectful to this parent of a child that he cussed out yesterday before my child quit. I encourage the African-American community not patronize or send your children to work for this establishment.
