I go to order the spicy chicken boss and they don’t have any. fine. I ask for all of my meal in a large and instead they gave me everything in a small. I spent $60 on four meals and it’s like whats is the point of going somewhere to order something if you can’t even have the people taking an order listen to you. Also ate a few uncooked fries.
Omg! Great place for ice cream! If you got kids they will love it here! All around a great place to go and enjoy some good food and ice cream!
All the food there at the Fosters Freeze in Sta. Rosa is ALWAYS tasty. The burgers are big and delicious and they have a very extensive selection of yummy food to choose from. The service is polite (like places used to be.) However, the prices are not like a Marranos OR Junk in the Box, but neither is the quality or food. So do yourself a favor and say, next time make mine a Fosters Freeze, please! See you there!
I wish I could report the the charge on my card from this place a fraud because thats what they served us. We spent $40 on three size small burger meals and we all very passionatly feel that this was hands down the absolute worst burgers & fries that any of us has ever tasted in our entire lives. Id rather eat hospital food. The only quality item this place has is their napkins. Try Ozzies on Montecito Blvd or Carmens Burger Bar in downtown Santa Rosa instead- itll cost you the same or less, and I promise it will taste better than you could imagine in comparison to this place. Im ashamed that I subjected my familys taste buds to this awful place.
Cute parking lot in the back. Service was fine. Ice cream was fine. Texture was good but Id prefer other flavors. Ill be back.
Food was great as always. A bit of a a wait but thats to be expected because its always packed. Kinda shocking that chili cheese fries, a shake and a classic burger was $21 though. I couldve given it one more star but the price got me.
While the flavor never changes, the prices and quality definitely do. Cones were busted up, shake barely shaken and all of that for triple what it used to be. Thankfully it still tastes good but no need to go back any time soon.
The best Fosters in Santa Rosa, no doubt! The food is better, the desserts are made the way you actually want them to be, and the service is always top notch. The family that runs this one is super sweet and caring. I always drive the extra miles for this location in particular and Im never disappointed❤️
I know the foods great, but don’t bother showing up unless it’s before 9:30pm or all you’re getting is ice cream. 99% of the menu was shut down with no signs even mentioning it. 😕
What a blast from my childhood 💜 We just moved up from a place where Fosters Freeze doesnt exist. I thought they were no longer around. Then I stumbled across this gem 💜I had what I used to call a Zebra cone - the vanilla and chocolate twisted together, squee! It was just as good as I remembered from my childhood 💜Theres so much more than there was when I was a kid hundreds of years ago 😉 My kids had a hard time deciding. One finally picked one that sounded good but sadly, he hadnt noticed that there were marshmallows in the gorgeous concoction. I brought it back to them hoping they could, IDK, give it to a deserving soul (yes, I know its against health code but my son hadnt touched it and it felt bad to throw it away). Of course, they threw it away. I ordered a replacement and told them I was paying for it as it wasnt their fault my son didnt see marshmallows but, they gave it to me for free! Sadly, I only had $1 in cash on me 😭. Ill definitely go back and bring a bigger tip! That was above and beyond 💜
The guy at the window was great! The ice cream was really good! But I do not recommend the Texas toast grilled cheese.
Really nice people and the best corn dogs around. The old fashion burger is good too. You cant go wrong with any of the soft serve offerings. I almost forgot the onion rings, the best of all the fast food places.
Fantastic shakes, friendly staff, a 4th St classic.
We have been going to Fosters Freeze for more than 40 years. It is basic soft serve ice cream. The issue is that it is much more expensive than it should be.
Its great. Above average good food. Affordable. Theres a reason its been there since before i was born 40 years ago and will probably still be there for my grandchildren to enjoy.
Delish, exactly how I remember it!
This is the same place I grew up with when we came from Sonoma to Santa Rosa to do clothes shopping for school in Coddingtown and Rosenbergs. Wow! I cant believe Fosters is still here and that its been so long since the first time I went there.Tastes as good as I remember it!!! And even the pandemic couldnt take it down!!! Thank God 😊🙏🏻for that!!! I love 💘em and you will too!!!
Its good, but a little pricey for the amount of food you get.
Quaint little burger shack with a couple wooden tables. Walk-up order counter, usually not unfriendly servicers. Wait about 10 minutes if not busy, expect 20 in a crowd. Dang good burgers for the fast food game! Fries are crinkle-cut but theyre fat and crispy. Comparable to inNout with more ice cream/snacky items.
I only come here for the icecream/shakes. But when we do eat the food I end up getting a little sick afterwards, maybe msg? Food is too overpriced & the wait is much longer than usual. Not to mention being right on the corner of one of the busiest streets so makes me very nervous with all my kids. But customer service is good. They seem to always be pleasant & accommodating. My order is never wrong, which is a huge plus to me. And they keep the area clean:D
The blizzard ice cream is so good 👍
The freezes are the bomb!!! Different than the place on sebastopol road but still just as good. Quick service too
Had vanilla ice cream cone,
Great burgers and shakes. Friendly customer service.
Good food! Good times! And good prices!!!
Waited 45 minutes for melted ice-cream and a cold meal.
I ordered a plain bacon cheeseburger with a large fry, but what I got was a small fry and would appears to be extra pickles and sauce.
As always this little place impresses me again. It was the best hamburger Ive had since the last time I went there! Thank God for 4th st foster freeze
Food is always good.
Great double bacon cheeseburgers and theyre soft serve cones are great old school As It Gets
Foster freeze is the same as always and thats good
Always amazing way way better then one on Sebastopol rd
What not to like about foster freeze .
This place use to be good,, I bought to small cheese burgers there today they were the smallest patty i ever seen, looked old and over cooked. I thru it out. I called to complain they charged me over 20 dollars for two burgers and 2 small ice creams the manager says oh those are quarterpounders. I said oh no they were smaller then the smallest burger at mcdonalds, and you charged me over 6 dollars no meal he acted like i was lying.
Good food old fashion style burgers...
Good ice cream cone for not much $.
Really great food, american menu.
Hella like fosters, but they got my order wrong twice. Still go back because the foods good lol.
Good hamburgers. Reasonable prices. Love their fries.
Love the soft ice cream there and there arent many of them left.
Love the chocolate dipped strawberry cheesecake freeze with oreo cookie crumble added.
Food is good, prices are pretty high for what youre getting.
Peanut butter shakes are great
I love their milkshakes
Spent 25 bucks and the only thing right was the drink
GREAT SHAKES big variety on flavors. Tasty burgers. Great Kids menu. Friendly service.
This place is awesome!!! The ladies working on the day I went were so sweet. It was my first time taking my kids there and they did a great job on the sundaes
Hot dog was cold nothing good I saw
Ive been coming here since I was a small kid with my grandpa, the quality Still Remains and overall everything is absolutely fantastic. The only thing I dont like much is the indoor eating area is a little dirty and can get super hot during the summer, but outside of that if youre just hoping to grab food and go this is a great place.
I love the ice cream
Delicious and fun staff
Service good but prices high
Great ice cream cones and drinks. The service is unenthusiastic.
Staying true to its classic roots. Even know this place is pretty deep in the hood youd never even know it. The same tasty delights enjoyed at your local Foster Freeze can he had right here on Sebastopol Rd. Really quality food for a fast food restaurant. Id eat here over any of the others(McDs, Burger King, Wendys, etc.)any day.
I have enjoyedfrosties for 75 years. Were so lucky to have one of the few remaining Fosters Freeze restaurants here in Santa Rosa
This is the best Foster Freeze in Northern California! A local fav, I have been coming here for more than 50 years and they still deliver some of the best fast food, creamy shakes, dipped cones and more. If you want something slightly askew of the menu, just ask!
Far and away the best foster freeze in the North Bay for sure .
Great shakes and friendly service!
This place brings back good memories of when I was a child. Surprised it was still around. Took my boys, they thought it was awesome.
Excellent food! Whenever I eat here it always makes me feel nostalgic takes me back to my childhood. One of the original burger joints in Santa Rosa way before Ronald,Jack or the king were here. Ive been eating here for fifty years one of my favorites!
Very good ice cream
Good food
Cheap food, excellent. This place will surprise you. Quick and friendly service. Prices were fair for the quality of the food.
Onion rings over cooked.Great burger. Great service. Great options.
Always good. Nice locally owned burger olace
Yummy as always!!
I used to love fosters. Especially this particular establishment. I loved the customer service, the food everything. That is until our last visit. My family and I went, ordered 80.00 of food as usual when we go out. When we got to the tables they provide outside, they are completely dirty. Thats alright, I can clean my own table, as we did. Then the food came. And in my sons hot dog is hair. Not those small white linen hairs, actual black human hair. My wife takes it back and the boy in the front is very apologetic, and they remake the hot dog. Needless to say he didnt even bother touching it. We wont be back.
Good icecream
Decent food, VERY high prices and calorie counts! Just make sure you know what youre getting yourself into, and youll have a fun time going back to the diner style food and feel!
Good eats, they just need a few more flavors for the ice cream drinks.
It an old ri.e favorite, it takes me back to my childhood everytime, just all around great nostalgia, of what life use to be! Love it!
Retro ice cream stand. Only had a shake, but it was delicious; made from quality soft serve. A few picnic tables outside makes for available seating. Otherwise, strictly carry out.
The food and the ice cream 🤤
Great food here at this place! I have always had friendly service, and the dining room has always been clean. It offers outdoor seating as well. Absolutely fantastic variety of food, including snack items, and beverages. Everything from fountain drinks to milkshakes, yum! The ice cream cones are a nice treat as well; and I definitely recommend getting a dipped cone! I highly recommend this establishment. Trust me, I drive almost two hours round-trip for the food!
Good variety of old fashion ice cream and soft serve treats
They have the best fries
Delicious food 😋
Love this place and so sad that theres only a couple of them left. The food is freshly made and worth the wait. Always a great place to stop by for some yummy food.
Great photo perfect burger! Excellent taste. Outside benches could use a scrub down though. Better than I remember it 15+ years ago.
Just stopped by for a late night Hot Fudge Sundae with my wife.Very fast service even with a bit of a line. I have always loved their soft serve ice cream.Ive never been to this location until now. I grew up going to the one in Berkeley on University, then have been to a few others around the greater bay area.I use to like their burgers back in the day, so Ill have to give one a go next time.*NewFollow @WhatsEatingMoTwitter - IG - YouTubeComing soon: More reviews and videos. Great food and service
Nice mom and pop shop delicious REAL big burgers and soft tasty ice cream. LOVE the drive up old school style. Wouldve give 5 stars but they had no restroom.
Not the Foster Freeze I grew up with... the burgers are like rubber, they skimp on the fries and they charge $4 for the same cone I can get at McDonalds for $1. Itd be nice to be treated with a small bit of respect when your shelling out $28 for 4 oz. of chicken, a hamburger disk that taste like a chew toy and half a small potato.
Fosters has been a Staple for me since I was a small child and as an Adult it is still a Favorite Go To Spot. The Boss Burger is Amazing and My Fiancé loves their waffle fries and deep fried burritos. And if you still have room when your done dont pass up on their Chocolate Dipped Cone or Triple Berry Shake!!!
Fast and service and good food and serving sizes
Great food every time. With fast food prices going up just go there if your near by.
I love it! I take my dog there and share a little bit of my ice cream cone. But only Vanilla! 😉
Great service
Food was good order was wrong.
The classic, this chain is just the kind of place to bring back childhood memories with tasty ice cream and treats.
The staff have always been helpful with recommendations and accomodations. My children love the ice cream selections.
Half & Half Soft serve ice cream and/or crinkle fries are delicious
My top place for delicious cheap food. I wanted to post a food pic but it looked so good I couldnt stop. I will be back with my friends. Food is like a place in Baltimore I liked.
They kinda took forever, when we just ordered 2 shakes n 2 fries but other then that always bomb!!
Nice food and bevarages but slow in service.
My children and grandchildren go there because of the good food, something for everyone. when you have a child who is very picky. But she always likes something they have. plus it brings back memories.
I have to say that my opinion may seem a little biased because I work at this location now, but its just honest. Fosters Freeze is a place that always reminds me of riding around running errands with my grandmother when I was a child. We always got lunch at Fosters Freeze. The food and the ice cream is just as good as I remember. I love that they do not make the fries until they are ordered.
