Ive had an awesome experience so far with Noah and company. Considering the state of the classic Mercedes diesel I had towed in; I was very satisfied with the overall operation. Noah and the team communicated well, provided solutions to some challenging issues with the car, and had great turnaround time. The team accommodated my personal level of automotive enthusiasm and was very responsive to questions. The care and attention to detail was evident especially considering I found some thoughtful work done which never showed up on the bill. For classic cars I feel an owner has to be more selective about auto repair shops. I am grateful for Performance Imports. Thank you!

Noah the owner of Performance Imports is a class act!My father owned a Foreign car Repair shop for 45 years and was the best at his trade. He sadly passed away last year. I inherited all his classic older European cars that I know nothing about. I had brought them to a few other European repair specialty shops and had bad experiences. Shady work, overcharged etc.I met Noah and his team last summer and am so impressed by his knowledge and expertise. Even some repairs that seemingly were going to be serious big money jobs Noah was able to diagnose with ease!The most recent example is a 1985 Mercedes 500 convertible that the automatic top only went half way down. I was concerned that this was going to be a big complicated job and what the cost to repair this would be. Noah called me to let me know that it was just a sensor that was out of alignment. I was ecstatic to hear this as I was preparing for a substantial bill!They did a full service on my 2003 Land Rover that now runs like new amongst a lot of other misc. work that my dads vehicles needed.I had been trying to sell a 1977 Mercedes 450sl on my own to no avail. Noah fixed a few things, had it detailed, sold it for me and was very satisfied with what he got it for!It is really hard to find a trustworthy shop and especially one that can properly service European and charges less than the dealers! Great service. I bought my 01 boxter online. Had the shop pick it up for me, change the IMS bearings and do a full service. Noah and his staff are amazing. Performance Imports was recommended to me as a quality place to have service done on my wifes 2011 BMW 328ix. I was a little skeptical as I have been getting this vehicle serviced mainly at BMW dealerships but I decided to give this a shot, if for nothing else at least another estimate. I am extremely happy I decided to have Noah take a look at my vehicle. He took the time to pay attention to me and listen to what the needs of my vehicle were. Moreover, he went out of his way to walk me through exactly what was wrong with the vehicle. He allowed me to look underneath the car and pointed out what were the most serious issues that needed to be handled immediately and what were some things that we would need to keep an eye on. This showed me that Noah and Performance Imports were not trying to rake us over the coals on costly repairs that didnt need to be done (as was the case at some notable BMW dealerships in the area) but were focused on the most serious problems.We have been driving the car now for a few weeks and everything is running smooth and couldnt be happier. Noah was kind enough to work with us to set up a maintenance timeline for future visits and we are confident that he and the team at Performance Imports have our best interests in mind. I have filed a formal complaint with the CT Department of Motor Vehicles against this business. I recently came across evidence that proves they knew of the pre-existing issues, thanks to Audi of Fairfield and the previous owner of the vehicle.My first interactions with them led me to believe that they were a trusted local family owned establishment. Unfortunately, (and this happens more often than not in the car business) they concealed the truth. They did some minor work (fixed a coolant leak and put on aftermarket rear brake pads), but concealed the major issues (the very expensive leaking air suspension and cracked control arm bushings among other things).I spent nearly $5.5k to replace the faulty front suspension components.Heres another reason why I wouldnt trust them:I can confirm that there are at least 6 positive reviews that have been left by employees, spouses of employees, and employees from neighboring businesses. Not to mention friends and other family members.They will certainly pay for what they did. One way or another. Justice will be served.

I would put my family in any one of there cars. they pre inspect very vehicle that comes to them for sale. I was having a hard time finding a car due to the fact i had limited credit and came across Performance Imports where I met an extremely kind lady by the name of Kimmy whom treated me better than any other dealership was straight forward with me and honest yet respectful. She helped me attain my new bmw and i could not be more satisfied with the vehicle and have yet to have any issues with my vehicle even after 90 days of daily driving. i highly recommend if searching for a vehicle go down to performance imports they will be honest, fair priced, and straight forward.

They sucked all the joy out of buying my daughters first car. First there was the incredible disappearing 30 day/1,500 mi warranty that was promoted and discussed then withheld with no accomodation on price. Independent inspection showed the recently steam-cleaned engine and bay actually had oil and rack and pinion leak. They did the repair work but refused to warranty that work. At the close, after all money had changed hands and paperwork signed ... heres your key. One key? Two is the norm. At $400/key I expect full disclosure of that at the outset. The car is what we wanted. The process was not. Ill be angry for the next 30 days or 1,500 miles - whichever comes first - and more so if something serious goes wrong. I will pursue reimbursement for the key - even if that means small claims court.

It has taken me months to write this review and the reason is that I have been completely blown away by JUST HOW GOOD THEY are.I have been a habitual leaser of new high end cars forever, and I listened to BMW and Mercedes haters for far to long ( most secretly really want one) telling me how expensive they were to keep up. Additionally I have to confess that I stopped by the local Mercedes and BMW new car shops ( the temptation was too great) - bottom line - not impressed with the experience - I passed performance lot a lot and there inventory is impressive, pricing great - still I waited - till two friends who are within the arms reach a slap-able distance bought BMWs from them, 2 years no issues - OK OK I know when to surrender ! I now own a high mileage Mercedes and a high mileage BMW that I bought from Performance - WOW they are honest, accommodating, personable, (both the front of the house and the back) dont make faces behind my back when I come in without warning for some really dumb stuff and they laugh at my jokes!

Michael and his wife were so helpful. I brought a vehicle I was purchasing from an individual there for a pre-purchase inspection and wanted to get it checked by someone who really knows foreign cars (specifically BMW). Im in the military and needed it done in a hurry and they fit me in same day! They went above and beyond and were very kind and friendly. I am so glad I found them because I will definitely be going there in the future for any service issues and when I want to upgrade my car :) Brian the tech was very attentive and Noah as well..everyone there is stellar. They should have 5 stars on here for how great their customer service is!!! Highly recommend.

I have been doing business at Performance Imports for over fifteen years and have purchased three used cars for them doing that time frame. If you pay 15K or 5K you can rest assured that the team at Performance Imports has done all they could to ensure your vehicle is both safe and reliable.Always professional and thorough but may not be as fast as you would like, similar to good food. Its may not be ready when you want it but the quality is worth the wait and price.

Very disappointed with my service experience. I needed an oil change, a new rear spring, and work to get it past emissions. Three weeks later, the car is ready for collection, together with a bill that is substantially larger than I expected (as they couldnt locate any springs, they didnt even start that work); certain items were not properly estimated and communication was sporadic and vague - several days went by when I didnt even hear from them at all, and once when I called I was put on hold for 20 minutes. I registered my unhappiness with the owner and he merely shrugged and attempted to justify the size of the bill and the three week delay - it appeared that he couldnt care less. At least the car passed emissions (after the deadline, so I will now have to pay a fine).

I have bought and sold cars through Performance Imports and they repair my vehicles. I have worked with them for many years. Everyone is friendly, helpful and their work is done well. They have told us what work we should be doing on our cars but also what work can be done later, which has saved us $ in the long run.

Buyer beware. Last year I purchased a beautiful BMW for $23k with 68k miles. Eight months later and $6k worth of serious mechanical issues, this car was clearly a lemon. I told Performance that I wanted to trade the car towards something more reliable. They offered me $10k towards a car in their inventory or $10k cash and were not willing to help at all with the repairs. In my experience, Performance paid little attention to detail and were just looking for a quick sale. They WILL NOT be there for you after the sale.

Performance has always been good to me. My last experience was a coolant leak in my wives Mini Cooper, they were thorough, honest about the job and its complexity, and successful with the repair. They are not a fly by night repair shop. I highly recommend them.

I previously published a review for PI and want to do so again. This is one of the best car dealers and mechanics for imports around. We drive an hour just to make sure they work on our cars. It is a family owned business and you will feel that right when you come in. They treat you like family - and your car is their car, so they will investigate and research until they have solved the problems. We have also purchased 4 or 5 cars from them over the years. They have high standards when it comes to the cars they allow on their lot. If i could give them 10 stars, I would! Please give them a try - it will be worth it!

Mislead, deceived and over charged. Paid over $4000 dollars to Michael Burg for repairs to my 1985 Mercedes 380SL. After departing shop within 1 week fan blade cover was left unattached and hit fan blade damaging completely. Also was advised by Michael Burg owner of Performance Imports the 380SL was a bastard of Mercedes and car dove to right being engineering flaw by Mercedes. After driving for some mileage brought car to another mechanic who advised me no front right shock was not in place and was missing. Performance Imports jeopardized my safety and life with unprofessional mechanical repairs.

Performance Imports in Danbury further reinforces the reason society has come to distrust used car dealerships and sales people. This place represents itself as a specialist in quality, high-end used cars from BMW and Mercedes. Do NOT trust them with any of their more affordable options. We purchased a moderately-priced vehicle here in the beginning of March and have had to perform significant repair on the vehicle since purchase. When asking about having a PrePurchase Inspection at an outside mechanic, we were told, “It’s an inexpensive car, people who spend over $40-50K tend to get an inspection, but for this price range it is not normally done.” We were “graciously” offered to inspect it ourselves on their lift, with their mechanic. Once on the lift, I pointed out that there was oil dripping from the pan. Once the car was back on the ground, the mechanic looked at the car and reasoned that since it ran clean (no smoke, a sign of leaking into the cylinders) and we saw no signs of oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil, then the most likely problem was the oil temperature sensor. When discussed with the sales person, she stated that they would NOT be fixing the leak. They had already scheduled to replace the front and rear brake pads and rotors before we had set foot in the dealership. This would later be stated that this was performed as a no charge service for us. No, it was their own planned service as it was needed to be able to pass NYS inspection for sale. I will say that the mechanic did find the serpentine belt worn and that was replaced at no cost. As for negotiation, there was none, take it or leave it. We went ahead and purchased the vehicle, more fool us.After weeks of inspections, multiple trips to two different mechanics including the use of florescent dye in the oil, the diagnosis was the leak originated from the head gasket. Upon contacting Performance Imports, it was re-iterated to us that the car was AS-IS, and they questioned the ability of the mechanics who diagnosed the vehicle. $900 later the car is finally leak free.The major issue with this dealership is lack of transparency and honesty. Two specific times I asked if the car needed any further repairs. Once when I first called about the vehicle, and once again onsite before taking it for a test drive. Both times we were told that besides the scheduled brake replacement, no further repair was needed. It comes down to one of two things: 1) they have terrible mechanics who cannot see an oil leak or 2) they knew about the oil leak and did not disclose it when asked. The car had been given a very thorough cleaning, including a steam detailing of the engine bay, therefore the lack of knowledge of the leak is not the probable answer. And thus, it leaves us with what we have come to expect from used car dealerships: lying, cheating, and doing whatever they can to sell a car. If, however, they did not know about the leak, do you really want to buy a car from a dealership that allegedly inspects the cars thoroughly and cannot see an engine oil leak? If such a simple observation can be overseen, what else would be missed or mis-diagnosed? We purchased an “AS IS” vehicle here and got burned. If you choose to not listen to our tale, and go here, GET YOU CAR INSPECTED from an outside source. Do not trust the staff here, they do not represent their vehicles accurately.

This place is TERRIBLE!!!!! At first they seemed honest and up front with me. then i get my car back after dropping $1400 and things just start to go wrong and they say i can bring it back and then have the nerve to charge me $75 for checking my car again after i wasnt havent that issue before bringing my car there. they didnt even warn me ahead of time that they would charge me for checking my car again. Be careful and get a second opinion before bringing your car here! and also they tried to tell me that a fuse was bad in my car for my horn but the guy could re-route the wiring to make the horn work and how ironic i get my car back and now my ABS break system failed. how is this possible??? i plan to get a lawyer. If you are going to charge someone for a diagnostic you should warn the customer beforehand. you will be hearing from my lawyer.

Thanks for giving me biger issues took car for ac got home then dont start metel flakes gas tank and oil its getting Motors getting analyzed while we speak now I know why you said good luck and I thought good luck for an ac refrigerant fill had changed the oil not even a week ago car was running fine never had an issue now its got to be legal problems dont take your car there
