I had a great experience here! I went for an oil change and because my car was making an odd noise after replacing the battery myself. I thought for sure that something was messed up and I would have pay for it. They thoroughly looked my car over and found nothing wrong - to my relief. Bill, the manager, even took the time to brainstorm with me on a cheaper solution for some body work I need to have done but didnt think I could afford. Everyone was very professional and friendly!

I will never use this business again! They are thieves and liars! I came in to get my air conditioning fixed and they asked me if I wanted to get my air filter changed. I said no, knowing that I could change it myself easily with the help of YouTube and cheaper than $55. I go to change my air filter and see that it was already changed. I go to check my invoice to see that they had charged me for it. When I called and asked about it, the manager tried to tell me that I said to change it. Do not go here! They will steal from you and gaslight you!

I came to this location for an oil change. The job was botched and when I woke up in the morning all of the oil had leaked from my car. After having someone come out to do a temporary repair and then bringing it back into the location, I was assured that everything had been fixed. A few months later I brought my car into the dealership for service and they informed me that due to the complications, oil had been leaking onto some of the belts in my car and I had to spend thousands to have this repaired. Of course, I was completely ignored when reaching out to SpeeDee Oil to see if they have some kind of warranty or reimbursement policy for these situations.Save yourself the trouble and expense and go somewhere else for your oil change!

I needed a diagnostic ran on my transmission, and they accommodated me. They were very knowledgeable and helpful, and politely informs me that nothing is wrong with my transmission. I would recommend them definitely.

The guy who helped me to change my cars oil, got upset; because I asked him to wear a mask and he spoke rude back to me. I honestly wanted to report him with his manager. I never had problems before. Everybody else there, is very nice.

Inspection services,The Gentleman with long black hair was rude and swore at me. This is unacceptable and needs to get corrected. I went for an inspection and all I got was a lashing with vulgar words. I work in the neighborhood and I have never been treated with such disrespect. I will never again send people or have my service needs met there. It was absolute disgusting how he treated me.

Tried to get oil change. Employees were standing around taking. When I got out of my car and asked what was going on they said they would try and get to me. One of the guys said they were taking business (they were talking about someone needing foot surgery). I said I had to go and one guy said by.

I have taken my cars there for 15 years. Their service is always dependable and honest. On 2 occasions I have needed a service beyond the usual. They took care of the problem and didnt charge me. These are a great group of guys, and I highly recommend this place!

Was having trouble with the lights coming on, on my dash. Brian/Ryan was happy to help and was patient with me and fixed it all up. Hes gonna be my go to guy if I ever have any problems!

I have used this location twice now - the first time I had a flat tire near the shop with my newborn, and while they couldnt replace my tire, they did pump it up enough for me to make it to a tire shop down the road and were really nice about it. The second time we took it in for rear brake pads and a routine inspection. The service was quick and almost $80 less than the dealership. Nice guys and good customer service - well be back for routine maintenance!

The hours on google and clearly stated on the door said they closed at 6...pull up 5 mins after 5 and everythings closed and nobody is there. change your hours listed everywhere if you guys close earlier.

It’s hard to find honest auto service places. Andres was upfront and showed me what needed to be fixed addressed on my car. I have a very old Jeep Grand Cherokee so there are a lot of things to deal with. Thankfully, andres showed me only the urgent matters yet didn’t pressure me into anything. The prices are affordable and the service was great. I think I may have just found my go to for car services!

If I could post without choosing a star at all I would. I would give them less than a zero. Speedy Oil Change & Auto Service located at 7038 Snider Plaza, University Park, TX 75205 is deceitful and lies to its customers. I went to get a simple inspection and the first guy tells me everything is fine, but he could not pass me because I do not have any power steering fluid. I asked could I pay for some and he said no, he would have to do a complete flush and refill $69.99. I go to Auto Zone to purchase power steering fluid, and the salesman shows me the current level is almost at the top and literally puts a 1/2 cup fluid in my car so that it registers on the stick. In addition to that my computer indicates that my power steering level is fine. In less than 30 minutes I go back to Speedy to have the car inspected and another repairman states the cap on the power steering holder is cracked and its missing a rubber seal. Then I begin to tell the repairman thats not correct, there are no crack and its not leaking, the other service repair man never said that it was leaking. He then tells me he would have cap the fluid off for free. I sate the first guy told me he couldnt and it would cost me $69.99 Then the third guy hears us and takes a look, he agrees with me, but the repairman insist its cracked and refused to pass my inspection. I get back to my desk look up the part and a rubber seal doesnt even come on the part. Please do not use this auto service provider. They are dishonest, they lie about service needed and are only there to take your money. They posses no business integrity or pride in the service they offer.

I totally agree with P Robertson!The new management is a breath of spring compared to the bandits that previously ran this location . We were about to leave on a trip to Houston and they gave the car a quick check to make sure all was well with tire pressure, coolant and oil.Turns out it needed some coolant and about a quart of oil, final tab... ZERO!Are these guys trying to get ALL my business?!!! Well, they are on the right path. This location could quickly become the GO TO place for all of University Park when you want a fair and knowledgeable group to keep your car on the road without driving all over town.TWO THUMBS UP to the new management and there should be some way to reset these reviews to now only show those after the new management took ownership.

Highly disappointing!!!!! My 17 year old daughter went for what she expected to be a $29.99 oil change. She was told that the vehicle specs required a different type of oil with no mention of additional cost. She agreed have the oil change but was not made aware that there would be a significantly higher price. She came home, to my surprise, with a $72 charge for the oil change.When I explained the issue to the manager and asked him to issue some type of immediate refund because my 17 year old daughter was not made aware of the higher price, the manager refused. He said he couldnt issue a credit. He only offered a discount on a future oil change. Highly disappointing that he wasnt willing to work something out to retain my good will. Having to come back three months later for a discount isnt acceptable. He just lost a customer.That said, I think he or the onsite manager ought to consider confirming with the owner of the car that they understand that higher prices may be involved.Again ....highly disappointing. I wont be back.

Be careful if you are a woman and you need your car worked on. The long haired guy will stare at you while youre walking to the lobby. Hell then come and try hitting on you and pressuring you for your number. Ive been coming here for years. Paul has always been a kind man, but management seems to be lacking tremendously. Staring at you like a piece of meat, then looking at you like youre dumb if you ask a question.

The new owner, Paul is wonderful!!! My battery died and he took the time to come test/jump it for me and get me back to his shop where I could purchase a new one. Got me back on the road in record time! I will be planning my oil changes and other service needs they offer with them in the future. THANK YOU!!!!

I need to revise my review to an UNACCEPTABLE. The customer service rep just called to follow up and rather than using good customer service informed me that it was my fault for sending my daughter to a place of business that I thought would have done right by the customer. Its disappointing to know that the manger and the customer service rep blame the customer rather than take some opportunity to earn and maintain the customers good will. A simple Im sorry for the misunderstanding. We will confirm prices clearly with our customers before going forwardHighly disappointing and definitely wont be back.

According to your webpage, this location was suppose to open at 10:00AM on Sundays. I got there at 9:57 AM and waited until 10:20 AM. No one came. The sign on the store did not have an opening time. I would suggest you correct your website an signage at this location. This small effort will probably earn you more customers and repeat customers.

Absolutely deceptive. Serviceman claimed my brakes and power steering needed attention, they charged 39 dollars in labor alone to simply change the fluids in both (neither ever expire and simply need to be topped off). I felt powerless and financially raped as the technician took advantage of this poor college student.

I can’t give any feedback about oil changes, but I can give feedback about customer service. I live in Little Rock, AR and frequently visit Dallas as my kids have attended SMU. On 2 separate occasions in the last year these guys have helped me out with little issues on a drop in basis and charge nothing for their time. One was a oil top off to get an indicator light to turn off and the other was removing a lose undercarriage liner that was dragging on the pavement under my car. On both occasions they were prompt, courteous and friendly and rendered the service, albeit simple services, at no cost. Wouldn’t let me pay when I tried to!If I ever need service while in University Park I will use these guys.

My experience is very similar to some of the other reviewers here. Ive been taking cars there for at least ten years, and it had always been pretty good. However, today I took my car their for an inspection and they were just plain rude. Extremely rude after I asked why they let someone go ahead of me (they were too busy socializing) to start my inspection. I had even gotten their a few minutes before they opened to help ensure that Id not have to wait. Fortunately, I just took the car across the street and was finished before the other person.After that experience and reading these other reviews, Im finished with this place.

Deceptive is a compliment to this operation... had my transmission serviced last week by a trusted transmission shop Ive used for years. Take the car in today for an oil change, and they call to tell me that my transmission fluid is black. When I explained that it was ALL CHANGED last week, I got the ho... hum... well Theres a reason theyre able to pay the rent in UP, and its not from all the profit they make on oil changes.

Went in to receive a state inspection, thinking I was going to be there for a while. I was literally in and out. It took every bit of 10 mins. Great place to visit for an inspection. Side note my visit was on a Sunday!!!

Guys were all very nice, good vibe. They have a great lobby with tv, and they get college and NFL games. Great location to grab a bite to eat.

Come for oil changes pretty regularly and these guys are always helpful. Robert did a great job getting everything covered, kept me updated on past work done, and helped out a lot to keep everything running smoothly.

I have a 2015 Nissan Juke and have brought my car here a couple of times already. I just took my car in again for an oil change yesterday and was told they should have been using synthetic oil this entire time and that I would be charge the extra price for the synthetic oil. I called the dealership today to confirm and was told my car will use either oil. I feel like they were just trying to take advantage of me and rip me off. I will not be going back again!

Ive been going to SpeeDee for over 8 years now and can say I will no longer be a customer. I went in for my State Inspection, only to find out that I failed because of leaking power steering fluid, but wasnt given any other information. The mechanic that worked on my car was rude and very quick to deliver the incomplete information and before I could ask any questions, was shuffled over to the cashier to pay. I take pretty good care of my car, so this was obviously news to me. I asked for a recommendation for a repair shop because I was told I had 15 days to have the repair completed to still receive a complimentary second-look inspection.The repair shop I was referred to in Addison tried to tell me that I needed to replace a major part, estimated at almost $2,000. I took my car to another repair shop to find out that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car in the first place and that there was no reason my car shouldve failed the inspection in the first place. I subsequently took my car to another state inspection authorized shop and passed the inspection without question and was even asked why I had failed in the eyes of the other shop in the first place.I will be looking for another shop for routine maintenance ASAP and will no longer be giving SpeeDee my business.

This place is a rip off. When i pulled up to get an oil change i was quoted $95 so i agreed. The oil was changed and then i was charged $139. I talked to the assistant manager about it and even the worker that quoted me the $95 and they still made me pay the $139. Since then i have read a lot of negative reviews and i fully agree that this place is diseptive and a rip off. I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING. VERY DISSAPOINTED.

Have been going here for a while to get oil changes. Hadnt experienced any problems. Just went in, was seeing leaking fluid under my car when parked. Was thinking it might take a while so brought a book. They checked it out within five minutes, told me the problem was leaking power steering fluid. The fix would be very expensive but they told me it wasnt something to worry too much about. They topped off my fluid and didnt charge me a thing. Gave me a recommendation to go to an auto supply place to pick up a product they recommended to slow down the problem. It always sucks when somethings wrong with your car and you have to take it in to a place youre not sure you really trust. I definitely feel good about these guys from my multiple experiences and recommend them to all! This time had to write a review because of the lack of charge and recommendations!

Took my car here for an oil change. Piston shot a hole through the engine block the next day I drove it because there was no oil in the car. 4 years of litigation to settle the case in small claims. Stay away from this place and these crooks.

I have been here several times over the years and I used to think this was a good place to get routine maintenance done on my vehicles. They have refused to top up my transmission fluid even if I present the original vehicles owners manual specifying the exact type of oil required. On another vehicle of mine, a 4WD Land Rover, they always fail to grease the various grease fittings on the driveshaft and tie rod ends and they list on the receipt that the chassis lubrication points are sealed which they obviously are not... I should know Ive replaced every tie rod end and had both driveshafts remanufactured, so Ive seen the grease fittings myself. On my receipt next to Front/Rear Differential and Transfer Case they entered not applicable which makes me wonder if they bothered to check those items on my truck which are applicable because it is 4 wheel-drive. What will be the last time I I will have my car serviced here, I overheard the mechanic trying to find the gasket for my oil filter after he had already installed the filter... luckily he found it and exclaimed how he was going to have to take the oil filter back off as if that was highly inconvenient.My dad also gets his nearly new Yukon serviced there sometimes and every time he goes in they not only want to do an oil change but they almost always recommend flushing out some major system such as the power steering fluid, the transmission or the engine coolant.This place is obviously just in business to make an oil change turn into a major spending event. Their mechanics do not know the difference between a grease fitting and a brake bleeder valve.

Dishonest. This place is horrible and charged me for services that I now know that I absolutely did not need. I do NOT recommend.
