Richard is the real deal. He is always straightforward, fair, and easy to work with. He’s worked on my car a number of times and I’ll go back every time in the future. He will even visibly show you what the problem was when it’s possible to do so.

I needed a fan installation.In the process they busted a hole in my radiator.I also had to pay for the radiator replacement and new radiator.Never will use them for anymore repairs to my vehicle.

They offered a good price to change the evaporator core and heater core in my 2006 Jeep. They did the job, and in the process ruined a delicate component, the airbag clockspring.Now a have a light that dings every time it turns on and off, which is about every 30 seconds while driving. When asked to fix it, they say no. I was told this is just something that comes with working on an old car and that they warned me this could happen before they took the job. That is a lie. I was given no such warning. They are as greasy as they come at this shop.After trying to hold them accountable for their work,they finally offered to put the part in if I paid for it. Im now left high and dry with a whole new car problem. I guess Ill be replacing the clockspring on my own.Also, NO ONE WEARS A MASK HERE. They make you pay with Venmo. And the guys who calls the shots is as condescending as they come.

My Chevy Cruze started running hot thank God I found them. If at any time kindness is needed its now I had a very small problem that could have turned into a very large one the guy who runs the shop was so kind to me he fixed it in a Flash I am very grateful as a woman sometimes mechanics try to get over on you he went above and beyond to operate with integrity and kindness he has a forever customer.

I went to their shop to have my AC fixed and was told they’d order the parts and call me that following Monday or Tuesday. I was never called so I followed up the following Monday to find out the parts needed were never ordered. I was told I’d get a call back that day and never heard back. Same deal the next day. Instead of waiting another day for a call back, I called 4 hours later to be met with a bad attitude. Definitely had high hopes based off the reviews and my initial encounter, but they either only prioritize certain customers or are generally unprofessional.

I had an overall great experience here. Kind employees, quick service, fair prices. I needed a new window regulator; I read online that places charge up to $300 for a fix that is relatively inexpensive. I paid $160 and had my car back within hours.I had a strange conversation with one of the employees but he was still really kind. There is limited parking in the front of the building but plenty right next to it. They only take cash, checks, or app payment (like Venmo) so keep that in mind if you go.

Places very sloppy when it comes to putting your car back together leaving stuff unattached or disconnected.

I took my car in because it was making noise in the front suspension. They charged me $460 to replace the upper control arms and it still doing the sound got worse. It was quiet for a day, but has gotten louder. Im beginning to think that they greased it to make it quieter. I feel completely ripped off. PV wasted my time and money.

Took my car here because my alternator was giving me problems and not charging my car. They switched it out that same day and my car was ready for pick up by the afternoon. One of the most trustworthy shops Ive been to. Really helpful and they made sure to point out exactly what they did

5 stars doesn’t begin to describe this place. The area is a little run down and the shop doesn’t look like much, but man will they surprise you. The service has always been surprisingly fast, and you won’t find a better price. They aren’t out to score a buck off you and only give honest recommendations. They even went above and beyond by repairing some cosmetic damage free of charge. I would highly recommend them to all of my friends and family.

Richard is amazing!!! Our first experience with him...they were actually closed and he still took time to come out and look at our car for us. Gave us some great suggestions. Upon our return he immediately went to work on our car and had it fixed within 2 hours at a great price!!! We still have some repairs and he offered a great deal with bulk repair. You can expect proper service from this shop. However, expect to be charged an arm & leg. Work that should cost $25 in parts and $50 in service ends up costing $175 instead. I recommend finding a different shop for smaller work

My engine light went on late Friday night on my VW Tiguan. Saturday morning I called first thing, came in and they checked it. They were busy but they still made room for me, took care of it and I was on the road in an hour. Big plus for the extremely friendly customer service I got from Richard, I felt right at home.

I wish I would have known about these guys earlier! I have never found an auto shop that is so interested in helping me in the most honest and conservative way, and less interested in simply squeezing as much money as possible out of my pocket. They are more helpful and charge less than everyone else. Dont go anywhere else!

I went there because I have engine light and I knew the code. They didnt check anything, simply said is the coil. They replaced the coil . Problem still exists.A week later I went to another car shop. The found that the coil is (By no. 5 zoom in) cracked. The knew its brand new. Probably PV tech tighten it too much.Very friendly and nice people. But bottom line I ended up with unnecessary parts, minus -$140 and still have the problem.Good place to replace parts when you know the problem.Credit cards unacceptable in this place!! Bring cash with you.

Great place, fair price, and cool peeps. They are about 2/3 cheaper then dealership for repairs and alot quicker too. I brought my car in around 1pm and got it back same day. I highly recommend them.

Richard did a great job. They are very honest and ethical. I took my car in to get my alternator replaced and Richard told me that all I needed was a new battery. He could of easily just replaced the alternator and made more money. He is a class act.

I was in a real bind...my car was parked on an elevated driveway and would not start which was causing me to be late to work. I wasnt able to get another car anywhere close to my car to jump it because I was in between some trees. I called a couple auto places to help me and they told me to call a tow truck which would be at least $75 - $90 just to get me a couple blocks to their shop. As a last ditch effort we called PV and spoke with Richard. He was extremely kind and said he could come over and see if he could jump it. He showed up literally 5 minutes later and took a look at the situation. He determined it was due to loose cables (I will never have the workers at AutoZone put in another battery on any car I own). He got me properly connected and it started right away. Richard was a lifesaver as well as a money saver. I will never go to any other auto mechanic again. AND I will always recommend them. I managed to get something stuck between my heat shield and brake rotor and when I brought in my car not only was the problem quickly identified and fixed within 2-3 minutes but then I was told that I owed nothing. Blew my mind, turned around my crappy day, and now I know exactly where I’m going the next time I have to go to the mechanic.

I came to PV Auto to get my windows fixed (they would not go up). When I got my car back, both of my windows were making odd noises. I brought the car back to PV auto multiple time to get the problem fixed; I called and would not receive phone calls back. They finally said that if they change a switch, the noises would stop. I brought my car in. They spend hours with my car and once they were done, not only were the noises not gone, but my car alarm no longer worked. When I told the owner, PV, that my alarm no longer worked, he said it was not his fault - he didnt do and he can be sure that my alarm worked when I dropped my car off. He refused to fix it.Luckily, another guy that worked there had enough kindness and sense to realize that they caused the problem and he changed the circuit back to the old one, which restored my car alarm. Unfortunately, my windows still make the noise and PV was not willing to give me a refund.I would not recommend going to this place. And if you must go - please do not interact with PV - he lacks the integrity. You can not trust this place - not only may they do harm to your car - but they may not even own up to it.

I went to get my shocks and struts replaced, and its true they do things like this at a fraction of the cost of other places. However after I went, my windshield wipers wouldnt work, and the shocks felt even worse than before I went. So I went back, and was told that the shocks were fine and they fixed my windshield wipers (apparently when they put the struts in, they rushed and the wipers had been caught on something), but no longer had any wiper fluid. I use wiper fluid a lot so this didnt surprise me that much. I just went to a different place to get my car inspected and was told that the wiper fluid container had been cracked, and that its in a spot where it would have been hard to do. I also need to spend more money on maintenance to get the shocks properly installed in the back. Needless to say, they dont actually care about your car, they just want to get you in and out as soon as possible. Good for a cheap fix, still cheap though.

This place is WONDERFUL! I got in my car today (2007 4Runner) and several lights were on including the engine light. I wasnt near my house, and I had tons of appointments for work the next day, and it was 4:30pm. I started calling places including Toyota. Everyone had me describe the lights, and told me that with that combination of lights, I would need to bring it in and no one could look at it that day, Id have to leave it over night. I was really nervous and worried, wasnt sure if it was ok to drive, and terrified that I had a huge expensive problem on my hands. I googled car repair shops, and this place popped up and had good reviews. I called, and they were the ONLY ones that told me anything about what the lights meant, and said to bring it by and theyd take a look, even when I said it would take me 30 mins to get there. Once I got there, he took a look and said that two of the lights automatically come on when the engine light comes on (no one else told me that!) and that he would just need to see why the engine light was on. He hooked it up, said it was a gas leak, and immediately checked my gas cap. Turned out, I had a faulty cap that was coming lose even after I would twist it all the way on! They could have totally scammed me and made a quick buck. I had no idea what was wrong and was worried it was something really bad. I am a social worker and am in the middle of moving, so a big car expense would have killed me. I could have cried I was so grateful!! They maybe didnt make money off me today, but they definitely gained a customer. I will be taking my car to them from now on, any time there is an issue. They are absolutely wonderful, and it is so nice and so rare to be a female going into a car shop with no idea whats wrong with her car, and not get ripped off or at least be worried that is going to happen. I will be recommending them to everyone from now on!!

Richard seems like one of the few really friendly and honest mechanics out there, and I cant recommend them enough. Be forewarned, they only take cash or check, but Richard was fine with me driving to the bank, with my car, to get some cash.

Awesome place. I needed to have my window regulator replaced and PV Auto Services did it for two hundred dollars less than the other auto repair shops I visited. While I was there I asked if they could remount my rear view mirror that had fallen off. They told me about a place down the road that could do it for me, but they ended up remounting it for free when they fixed my window without even mentioning it to me. I will be returning to PV Auto Services for all of my future car problems.

I was sold on this place because of all the great reviews. Unfortunately, my experience wasnt so great. Ive never felt the need to ever leave reviews until now. I took my truck in due to stalling and not being able to get it to start. Also needed an alternator. Replacing the alternator turned out ok but the main problem of stalling remained and got worse. 2 parts were replaced and also the alternator. Over $400. Not terrible but I dont have a whole lot of money so thats a decent hit to the wallet for me. First time it was ready to pick up it dies while he is showing me what he fixed. Along with showing me the new leak that was now there at the lower intake. This problem wasnt there when I dropped off my truck. He himself checked and listened for leaks the day I dropped it off in front of me. He said youd be able to hear a leak and that he didnt hear anything, neither did I. So a leak wasnt the culprit, which is why he replaced a part behind the intake. I asked if I could leave it so he could fix the problem which is why I took it in the first place. He was going to let me leave. He was busy so I told him to take his time because I wanted it to get fixed properly without any time crunch. It was a week and a half total. Now its worse and the whistling from the new gasket leak can be heard with the door closed and window up. This was never an issue. He gets lots of 5 stars, maybe for smaller repairs idk. My truck wasnt fixed at all. Nice guy n all but the outcome was definitely the worse Ive ever experienced and Ive dealt with a good handful of shops. Now Im about to spend more $ that I hardly have to try and get the original problem fixed. Along with a gasket leak. Like I said, I was convinced by the reviews. I ran into him the same day at autozone and told him it was worse. Didnt seem to care too much. Hope this helps someone out there.

One of my SUVs radiator hoses popped on the way downtown for lunch and left the cooling system completely empty. I looked up repair shops in the area and found several, but P V Autos reviews left me impressed. After temporarily refilling the radiator, I drove over to their location.Despite the shop being closed for the week and while doing repair work on his own personal vehicles, Richard took the time to look at the leak. After having me buy a replacement radiator cap due to the old seal failing, he proceeded to replace the radiator hose in the mid-day Dallas heat (remember the shops bays were full with cars already being worked on).Not only did he repair the vehicle, but he did so at a fair price.Any time I need a mechanic in Dallas, I will be back to P V Auto Services.
