Today is Thursday 4/29/21, Beef Shank supposed to be on sale only one day, and this Baja Market opened 1 1/2 hours ago, as always the entrance promo tables not been filled up produces, and few packages of beef shank in the back of the meat section and nothing in the side meat counters, the service man behind Meat & Seafood Counters is ignoring customers as always, the service is bad, and even though the store was not ready to open at 11am, I saw the manager just left the store, I’ve been shopping in this store for years, but service is slow and getting bad, don’t think I’ll be purchasing anything here any time soon!

Poor service in the bakery department the lady at the bakery never uses gloves and she also cleans the counter with a very dirty rag ... she also has a bad attitude i have contacted their corporate offices and they have not yet been kind enough to reply to my messages. I have talked several times to the manager as well and have not seen him take any action either.

We usually shop here for meat, but todays visit 7/21/2021 was terrifying. our bill was almost $80 w/ about $60 worth of meat. As were about to pay, the security guard stormed towards us and took away the red plastic bags. He did not even asked us. I told the security guard that we needed the bag to divide the meat to freeze. I was like its only 4 bags. i called for manager ELIAS, he prorceeded to tell me that i have to buy it at .50 cents. i said are you crazy? the bags are .10 cents. i kinda felt like there was Asian descrimation. I told ELIAS that we come here often and it was never a big deal. I mean we spend $60 for meat and we cant even get 4 red plastic bags. These guys need to be Re-trained and figure out where their priorites are? i am not going there again :(

I cannot stand this place! They gouge EVERY item as high in price as they can possibly get away with! I have to walk to get my groceries, but I will go out of my way to walk extra 2 blks to Walmart. There should be a law that markets are NOT allowed to hike prices up so high that a person goes out of their way to shop economically!!! I just bought 2 string cheese. I am on the road and have to move it along. As Im driving I open one of them and take a bite. It taste differently but it is not my usual brand. I keep chomping thinking that my hunger is greater than my fear of bad chese. I finish the string cheese and go for the other one. ... I wish I had not looked, the expiration date it Jan 18th of 2021. Today is February the 28th!!! More than a month, a freaking month and 10 days since it expired🤢 please pray for me!!

Visited meat department, they should get more help there, only one man working and he was rude.

Went to pick up dinner. Got burritos, papusas, and the carnitas family meal. Also, got the home made roasted red and green salsas plus shrimp cerviche and chips. So, with regard to the burritos, burritos=all rice little meat. Most of the meat had cartilage in it. Not a great bite at all. Gave up after eating half. The carnitas, rice and refried beans all lacked seasonings and flavor. Papusas...well wasnt that great. At least, the salsas were ok. Wondered why such a long line? Think its because it was warm and ready to serve. Think Ill pass on the prepared food. At least the associates were all very nice.

This market is the spot! It has everything you need.. It has you everyday groceries, a variety of food you wouldnt find at other markets & a great deli with hot food... BTW, if you looking to bust out the grill the meat market has the best Ranchera & Chicken around. The workers are all friendly & the manager Elias is always making sure all your favorite items are stocked.

Friendly staff. Clean & tidy aisles, shelves & displays. Wonderful selection of meat, seafood & produce!!! The carniceria/meat section is amazing! Loved the variety of fresh ceviche & salsas!!! I went overboard in the bakery department. I ended up getting a box of dulces (cookies, desserts & sweets) I purchased an agua fresca, verde (pineapple & lots of different greens NO SUGAR ADDED) It was delicious! Definitely will come back!!!

Also we enjoy the produce department and their great cuts of meat. Wow! Best value I found in years. I thought under $4 meals were gone. Wednesdays and Thursdays you can get two chicken burritos for $4 and not small burritos Large Burritos! The choices are endless, all kinds of me all kinds of options sandwiches large and $6 full on Bakery as well as butchers fresh meat full on supermarket as well I had to fish tacos comfortable eating area inside the store👍👍

This market could care less if you are a regular customer. They seem to think everyone who shops in the store is a shoplifter. About two weeks ago my wife was followed out of the store by a cashier because she had a shopping bag in her hand assuming that my wife was trying to steal. Again today, a security guard in the store approached by wife asking to look in her shopping bag. There are other markets that my wife and I frequent that do not try to intimidate you by asking to see whats in your shopping bag or assume you are a shoplifter simply because you happen to be carrying a re-useable shopping bag. I think the manager of the store needs to verse his employees on customer service and stress the importance of repeat customers.

Meat was way over priced! Wanted me to pay 20 bucks for 2 pounds of gou d beef, noone as really attentive, asking if we needed help or of everything was ok.. safe to say not going back.

It is a big store. Huge Id say. It can easily be seen from the street. It is clean and organized. The aisles seemed a bit small/narrow but it was well stocked and the prices seemed good. The staff appeared to be hard-working and they were knowledgeable and courteous.

Great prices on Mexican sweet bread.And the hot food deli section is absolutely delicious...the beef ribs... As a local of West Covina for 33 years, we support our local markets and have been regulars of Baja Ranch and the prior markets that took up the spot. After today, we will not support this venue for their discrimination and poor customer service.My mom was waiting at the meat counter and was to be served since her number was called. When she approached, the supermarket staff looked at her and then called out to another customer to be served.The other customer acknowledged that my mom was first and said please assist her first. The supermarket staff then said to my mom you need to wait and ignored her and began to help the next customer after my mom.I’m disgusted by the discrimination and how rude the supermarket staff are. We have never experienced this. When is it okay to treat one another like this.Baja Ranch, your staff need to be educated on customer service and need training on discrimination.
