This place is awesome! Old school, fresh drive-up fare at its best. Worth the drive from Omaha!
Nestled away on the northeast side of Council Bluffs, a staple in the area since I was visiting my grandparents in the 70s. Daily specials will keep you coming back for more, and its a food thing I live 2 hours away! These tasty treats are how I remember dairy treats to be: small enough to be super budget friendly but big enough to satisfy any sweet tooth. The black cherry yesterday was spot on, the lime is always good and the apricot is beyond yummy. Again, good thing I live out of town! Get a treat and enjoy the small, old time shop experience. They have a great food menu, too, so go have dinner and dessert.
I personally love Christy Creme. One of the more nostalgic places in council bluffs that also comes up with new flavors to stay up to date. Me and my girlfriend bought a quart of black cherry sherbert to share and it was absolutely delicious as always. My 3 favorite sherberts are Mango, pineapple, and black cherry. Theyre all worth a try though and they all have such a unique flavor. I hope they bring strawberry back soon, but honestly Ill just enjoy all of the other flavors while its gone. Aah Im in love with this place. The ambience, the sitting set-up. Icecream cones and the sundae are my favorite.
Most all the sherbets are great! The staff is friendly and fast, but I had to take a star off for wearing nasty gloves. Running gloved hands in her hair and touching money, then handing me my cone (touching the cone and not just the paper wrapping on the cone). Gloves do not replace washing your hands or using sanitizer.

Fast and friendly service. Took my great niece, nephew, and my mom. We all wanted ice cream cones but my niece who wanted hers in a dish. Learned they have a Flavor of the day so be sure to check that out. They have tables to sit at and enjoy your ice cream. Great experience!
Great food but very high priced especially for the portion size. I will go back but for ice cream and treats, not dinner! Kids that work their are almost always friendly and accurate!!

The food isnt why I go here but even it is phenomenal! Any frozen treat you get is going to be enjoyable to say the least. The parking situation is sketchy at best; just park on the street and walk up to the hill. You can burn some of the delicious calories youre about to devour. This is always a go to when Im in CB.
Their fresh made sherbet is amazing and the flavor changes daily. The daily flavor is posted on their website. They also make some of the best hand made chicken nuggets ever.

Food was great, but when we ordered ice cream and a shake the gentleman did not listen and made both of the ice creams the same. One was to be a small twist with rainbow sprinkles and the other one was a medium chocolate twist with no sprinkles and both were small twist with rainbow sprinkles.

Ice cream is always great but food quality has gone downhill! No longer have the great tenderloins or burgers they used to. We ordered Ed hamburgers today and they were frozen patties that tasted old. Very disappointed.

Christy Creme is one of the best things about Council Bluffs in my humble opinion. Laura has been a friend of the family for years. My grandparents and I always enjoyed getting a malt and french fries on a hot day in the summer time. Thank you for always being there (except during the winter, which I understand)

Very good American food, but a little pricey. Everything is a la carte. Two people can easily cost $17 without drinks. $12 or $13 seems more appropriate.

I have been coming here for as far back as I can remember. We used to take my great grandmother here every Sunday when she was in the nursing home across the street when I was around 3 or 4. The quality of service and product has not changed at all in 32 years. So glad to have such a great LOCAL ice cream place in town, not everyone wants to eat at chain restaurants all the time.

Its a local classic. We were visiting from out of town, and we wanted to visit some place unique. We were not disappointed. The food and the ice cream were both delicious. The staff was courteous and the service was fast. If you are looking for a good place to grab some grub, you can do a lot worse than Christy Creme.

This place is probably the best ice cream in council bluffs hand down! Also the food is amazing! It’s a family friendly little place & the staff is always incredible! I’m very indecisive when it comes to ordering so i told the girl that i love Oreos and chocolate and she made me her favorite! I was hooked! Only bummer thing is they close in the winter, but i looked forward to spring time because this is an added bonus to spring!

The best sherbet ice cream. A different flavor every day and I love them all. Living out of town, I dont make it there every day. But I do make it a point to always go there whenever I go to the city. The customer service is good. Very polite and usually strike up a conversation with whoever waits on me. The best part is the fat free sherbet ice cream...so I never feel guilty! Wish they were open all year long!!

Always enjoy coming here! A family favorite where everybody can agree on. This is a great family owned ice cream shop with delicious quick food like burgers, chicken nuggets, and more. They have a new and different flavored sherbet each day and each month a special themed sundae. Never disappointed here even with some simple like a twist cone, Im still highly satisfied and always craving this as my go to. Staff is always friendly, smiling, and patient with customers. Theres nothing not to love about this place, try it out for yourself before they close up for the season!!

The staff here is so great. I dropped my wifes sundae and they made me a new one free of charge. I didnt even have to ask. The food is very good and I recommend everyone go try their ice cream at least once. You will love it!

Christy Creme is awesome! I had a patty melt and it was actual perfection. It was my first time going, I had never even heard of this mystical place. But it stands up to the legends. The food was amazing. The people were sweet and helpful. If I could, Id give it six stars.

This place has amazing burgers, especially if you like bacon cheeseburgers. The fries taste like theyre fried in peanut oil, which is amazing! They also have onion rings that are delicious, along with chicken nuggets and sandwiches. The ice cream is great, with tons of flavors and varieties of options. The staff is great and I always look forward to them opening up for the season!
