I can’t remember the last time I went to a coffee shop and it was served in an actual mug. Drank our lattes on the patio and it was so great. Will return!

Love this place! Easily the best coffee in OC. Great bean selection too if youre ever looking to buy any, I usually grab a bag or two when I stop in. Personally love the espresso tonic so if youd like to try something different it comes highly recommended

Straight up good coffee. Though small the inside is nicely put together. Although not in the busiest center, Bad coffee is well thought out and put together with love. There arent a lot of options but their menu is carefully curated. The pastries and coffee is excellent, well worth the try if you are in the area.

I would like to leave a review of this coffee shop. I have been here a few times, always had a great coffee, cake, lately breakfast (eggs royale), and received outstanding service. The manager and the team create a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this lovely independent coffee shop for everyone!

Simple menu, but bruh do they do it right. Im a soy drinker and they only have oat and almond milks, but they must put some magic in that steam wand because the almond milk always comes out so nice! The shots are always carmelly and smooth, and they really are just nice people. Im a fan.

I love this hidden gem. The menu is limited but you really dont need more options than what they have. I could definitely go for more options of cup size volumes but thats more of a toddler wielding problem than a problem with the shop. My go-to staples are the lavender or vanilla lattes, and the chai. The smell of the beans the supply are always wonderfully aromatic walking in the door, its minimalistic chic with a hint of geekdom which is much appreciated. Please, also try the baked goods you will not be disappointed.

This is a very cozy, quiet place. Their coffee is great and staff are very cool and professional. They dont have much space to hang out (mainly bar stools) but would be suitable for quality take out on your way to work or a quick break.

We went there for first time today. Its a very nice coffee place and Im surprised we didnt know about it before. I got a hot chocolate and my friend got a latte. Both drinks were having a thick amount of foam, which I love! And they even did lovely flower foam drawings on our drinks! They have outside and inside seating (maybe not suitable for big parties though), and hipster kind of decoration.

Amazing coffee, really nice employees, and cool location. Lots of people when I got there, but the barista still took the time to make recommendations and walk us through their menu. If you are looking for a good cup of coffee, Bad Coffee is the spot!

This place has the perfect natural lighting coming through which makes for a productive coffee hang, study session or online work project, get some reading in or for a quick morning pick me up on the way to work/college!I usually get the oat/almond flat white or iced matcha. The baristas know what they’re doing ( you can trust them, I promise) & are all very lovely!PS the toast... is 12/10 G O O D. Only served on the weekends though!UPDATE: they don’t sell the toast anymore. ☹️

I ordered a coffee on the go, and thankfully, my order is made fast. The barista was really amazing with his work because he managed to handle it easily. I will surely come back here to this place because of the atmosphere that is so relaxing. I will consider this coffee shop to be a meeting place or a place where to relax. The owner of the coffee shop here used to work for portola. Im actually really happy he opened up his own coffee shop. The coffee here has always been consistent. And yes, its a bit smaller, but the price range is very fitting for its size. Staff here is very friendship, the coffee shop itself is small, but charming. Plenty of good lighting, and great coffee.

Suitable name. Ordered some things that were available on their menu and nothing wasavailable I honestly think they just didnt feel like making those items. Coffee was ok. They didnt even tell me when they put it outside! I was waiting for 20 minutes confused!

Bad Coffee = good coffee. All varieties of espresso drinks made here as well as batch brew (but no pour over). Good beans, well made. Average pricing. Clean, well decorated interior with plenty of light/windows. Nice outdoor patio. Friendly staff. Great logos & branding.

First time -and last time- customer.Beverages are SMALL! Maybe 10oz each, but priced for larger drinks. Average price here is $4 for drinks smaller than a tall at Starbucks.I mentioned that this was my first time here, but it was met with indifference. Didnt even receive a Welcome! but all three employees were very intensely involved in a conversation with what appeared to be a regular customer.Drinks tasted bleh at best. Ive had better coffee at Norms and Dennys (and I hate Norms and Dennys!).The name says it all... Bad Coffee.

Cozy, hip independent coffee house offering superb hot and iced coffee, latte, espresso drinks. They also have a small selection of fresh pastries from a local baker. Newly renovated space, formerly Hidden House Coffee. Outdoor seating and plenty of laptop power plugs have been added. Definitely recommended.

Love this cafe. Its a fantastic spot for meeting a friend or sitting to read. Their bakery is closed Monday but any other day of the week youll find a selection of pastries and sweets. Bad Coffee has anything but bad coffee. Your normal selection of lattes, espressos, and other drinks is made to order by their skilled baristas, who are friendly and personable too. If you are from New Zealand or Australia and struggling to find a styley spot for a decent flat white fix... these guys will do you right. They are quick at making them too, just like we are used to!

Came to this corner coffee shop while I was visiting Costa Mesa. The space is open with floor to ceiling windows for a lot of natural light. They make a great oat milk latte and the pastries are unique. I absolutely loved the poblano squash hand pie and will have to ask where they source their baked goods next time I return.

Okay decent coffee shop. Not much selection. Black coffee is only one variety (cannot select the bean). Seating is okay but the electrical outlets are not thoughtfully placed.

Not a huge menu of drinks but simple and basic which is good. Small cute spot, which is good for working on papers without the craziness of other major coffee shops. Love the idea its mom and popish. 5 bucks is the main price for drink.

I was about to be really sad that hidden house was replaced, but Bad Coffee has maintained the wonderful quality of coffee and comfortable ambience. They even added more inside seating, which is a big plus.I ordered a iced vanilla latte and it was delicious and just the afternoon pick-me-up that I needed.

Not bad, but not great either. They source their beans from out of state roasters. No pour overs. The espresso drinks lack soul. I wasnt wowed. Seating is quite limited at peak times. Free WiFi but I dont see any power outlets. Cool music.

Great atmosphere, great coffee (tried vanilla latte) good kombucha (need more flavors on tap), good postres, great service. I will definitely be back again for a coffee and snack some morning.

Came on a weekday morning, environment is quiet and conducive to reading and studying. Latte was quality. Downside-the only non-dairy milk they have is almond milk (no soy milk and no oat milk).

Aptly named. Baristas with attitude, extremely limited options. Dont expect real food options either. Approximately 3 danish that appeared over cooked. Also apparently I could eat those danish if my gluten allergy wasnt real.

The staff here is so nice!!! They dont have a huge selection, but what they do have is incredible! I ordered an iced tea- a pop loggi something (I seriously cant remember, but they can make any of their teas iced). My friend and tax person (yes this is an amazing place to meet people and to get paperwork and internet work done here) got a cappuccino and a scone and he said it was delicious and great! I just loved the most how warm and welcoming the people are here. Im not a coffee connoisseur and I dont want to go somewhere and pay money to have people be A Holes to me and snooty and the people here are just so so fantastic and their drinks are just as good !It would be terrible if you didnt try Bad Coffee ! Sorry no pics... I forgot!!

Besides one of the finest logos I’ve ever seen, they made the best espresso I’ve ever had. Their mocha was also delicious, coffee focused instead of chocolate focused.
