Always difficult to find a trusted partner when it comes to updating parts on your car, but these guys didnt disappoint. Ryan and his team were first class and went above and beyond to make sure I felt taken care of. They took their time and made sure it was done right. Happy to recommend these guys for all your auto sound needs.
I had a great experience here. They obviously work with some high end cars, but they didn’t bat an eye at working on my 2010 Subaru Forester. I have a complicated work-travel schedule and these fine folks were able to bundle an audio stereo system and install it the same day. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful- such a quick and easy experience.
Great New owners that stand behind there work, got my W7 from them and shes a knocker 👌🏼once you go with them they treat you like family... couldn’t ask for for a better local sound shop here in OCthanks guys 🤙🏼
Came into the shop to add some bass to my new Mitsubishi Outlander. No appointment or anything, a couple hours later I walked out with two 12s that sound absolutely amazing. The staff their is super friendly and professional and don’t overcharge. Trust me this is the BEST place to go, they will help you with whatever you need and offer financing for large purchases. Thank you guys so much and I’ll be back soon to upgrade my speakers!!
This place was a Compustar Pro installer. Google had 5 start reviews. I decided to install a Compustar Pro T12 due to a recent theft of my catalytic converter on a new car. Mike was great and knowledgeable. I have experience installing an older generation of these alarms on a manual transmission so I know the wiring can take a long time. The install was supposed to be done in one day but it took another day which I was fine. Having experience installing one of these in the past, I requested that they take their time to do the job right. The reason why I am giving three stars is due to four things: (1) They cut my carpet without my consent (2) I asked for a clean factory like wiring (they tried but I have to clean it up a little more) (3) I requested the shock sensor to be placed as close as possible to the catalytic converter. Unfortunately, the sensor currently rests squeezed in between a gap below the center console with the sensitivity controller facing inward. So unless I yank the sensor out, I have no way to control the sensitivity. The wiring for the shock sensor was loosely installed behind the carpet so I cant figure out why they had to cut the carpet near the area where they squeezed in the shock sensor. (4) The antenna was installed vertically protruding to my view on the windshield. I got annoyed looking at it so, I repositioned it horizontally to the passengers side. Overall experience was fine but I dont think I will be going back.Edit: The guy who gave me the car stated that the shock sensor is at factory or Compustar recommended settings. That the alarm will go off if someone tried to cut the catalytic converter again. Today I took out the shock sensor that was squeeze on top of a rubber hose... and found out that the sensor was at level 1. Meaning, even if I jumped on the side steps the alarm wouldnt ring... Compustars recommended setting for the shock sensor is between 2-4... Even at 2-4 the alarm didnt go off when I jumped on the side steps a couple of times... Also, I found out that they drilled a hole through my firewall without my consent... Minus a star (from 3 to 2) and I am being more than reasonable with the stars.
Super happy with my install. they were able to get parts another shop said were backordered for months. They did such a clean install that looks OEM and sounds amazing. Afraid to take your nice car to a corner audio shop? These guys specialize in high end cars. So happy I found them
Thanks ryan mike and fredi they provided great shopping experience and amazing deal on blam audio speakers and morel maximo ultra series. Very inviting shop and happy with the installation. These guys carry high end car audio and will be back for more thank you guys
Tony, & Ryan simply over delivered in most every way they possibly could. Super helpful in choosing the right gear, worked out a very good fair price for sure, plus they reworked the “mess” from dodgy prior bad work from a different shop at no charge. Very cool place.
Michael is a great guy! He’s been a client at my paint protection shop for years. Recently the wife mentioned the stereo in our Ford Focus ST was too quiet and the stock radio was glitchy and difficult to navigate so I hit up Michael. Super helpful on helping us make the right decision during consultation, he hooked us up with a really nice touch screen with apple car play, an amp skillfully installed under the driver seat and a small But powerful sub tucked into the rear hatch area. The sound quality is amazing! Super crisp and clean, way more bump in the trunk. Would highly recommend Newport auto sound for your sound needs.
Very pleased with my new stereo setup. Its everything I wanted from my 2020 acura tlx and then some. I went with 2 JL w6 subwoofers and custom boxes. The boxes are smooth with the lines matching the ride. The amplifier with DSP and Voce speakers sound amazing for the mids and highs. Newport Sound is the best stereo shop in the OC area. They upgraded my new ride and would do it again on my next ride! Big thanks to Ryan David Alex and Tony for the great service and setup.
Most likely while you are reading this review, you are shopping around to find the right shop. I have a good news for you, you just found the right one. I recently just worked with this shop and the job they did to my car is definitely a world class install. They installed a DSP and front speakers, i also added sound deadening on my front doors. I was amazed how the owner Mike treated me. All the while i thought that this shop only caters for high end cars. But i was wrong. Although I only drive an old Honda with 70,000 miles on it, Mike treated me just how he treats everyone with his vast knowledge along with great professionalism. He gave me so much info and he spent so much time with me over the phone multiple times. Too bad that I didn’t go here before. I had a bad experiences with different shops in the south county area. All of them are bunch of amateurs compared to this shop. So do not do the same mistake i made. If you love your car, do not allow anyone damage it. Go here and they will do everything the right way. To give you more idea how they work, go to YouTube and type Newport auto sound. In addition I also realized that This store will not oversell you. I asked for a $700.00 budget components, Mike showed me a speaker for $399.00. This is how he treat people. He wants you to get the most from the budget you have. So check it yourself. You will never be sorry.Hope this review will help you.
Awesome service, great advice, been taking my cars & trucks there for the last ten years. Anytime something was not working right (usually due to my own doing) they were there to fix it right then & there. Thank you Newport Auto Sound
Dave and Ryan are the best, very efficient.
I was worried because these guys have no ratings on here, but it was the closest so I stopped in to check. Really glad I did. These guys have been doing this since 1988, well before these interwebs. I got a great price on just what I needed, the manager is super knowledgeable about every product they sell and obviously likes what he does which is a rarity these days, so ask for Mike. You will get a 5 star experience and if you dont, I cannot imagine a scenario where Mike wouldnt be able to solve a customer service issue. Thanks guys for taking really good care of my vintage car, new customer for life yalls.
I have been a long time customer for about 17 years. You guys always provide me surperb sound for all my Autos. Heres to the next 17 loyal years.....
I dont know how many people works here but I talked to Shaun or Sean, not sure how its spelled. Hes a great guy. He took time to diagnose the problem with my car, took time to look at it, he tried something that wouldnt cost me anything. It didnt work but the fact that he tried it first says a lot about his salesmanship. He is not trying to overcharge but help you the most efficient way as possible. I still offered him money but he refused to take it saying he didnt do much. You dont see that everyday.
The guys added a bluetooth iPod hookup to my existing stereo. The salesman gave me some great input and the install job was very seamless. Fair price and quick service. I am going to be taking all my cars here from now on.
Mike is great 😆. Ten stars all around!
