Ive been bringing my car to Affordable Automotive for several years now and Stan and his crew have always gone above and beyond to provide the right diagnosis, an accurate estimate, and excellent quality work. Others must think so as well because the place is always as busy as a beehive. My only regret is that I didnt learn about them sooner.

Knowledgeable and honest with car repair

We chanced on this shop when we first moved to town and we are glad we did. We have had different vehicles repaired here and have always been pleased. Stan (the owner) charges a fair price and is a straight shooter. We even bought a used car that he had overhauled, and it has run better than our other cars! I would recommend anyone to Affordable without hesitation.

If I could give these guys a + at the end of the stars, I would. They are the most customer friendly bunch I have ever done business with. I have a commercial van and to get anyone to service my various problems is ALMOST impossible. Other shop will not listen to what you say about your issues and first thing out of their mouths is well I dont know, but it will be expensive and will take a long time. Working with Stan and James is a true pleasure I have been treated like a customer should be treated. Never has the price gone up once Stan quoted it, and once when we had some baffling electrical problem(I thought I had a broken timing belt) we got it there and they figured out what it really was and fixed it for $81. I decided to try this business after reading prior reviews on Google and Yahoo - I am absolutely THRILLED with the results. I bought an older class C motorhome and dash AC did not work, the prior owner said it hadnt worked for 8 years. I was prepared for a huge bill to replace all sorts of parts. Affordable Automotive pressure tested the system, found and tightened a loose fitting, and after pressure testing again, charged the system with new coolant. The entire repair took less than 2 hours and the repair cost was more than reasonable. The owner (Stan) is very personable and customer oriented, his philosophy is to look for problems first and only replace parts if necessary - the exact opposite of going to a new car dealers service department. Affordable Automotive has earned all my business going forward - what a great local business!

My Dad and I brought our 67 Mustang in for some carburetor work and we were quite impressed with the results when we picked up the vehicle. Stan knows his stuff and offered great service at a very reasonable price.

This place is the best friendliest most honest place I have ever had car work done. First I went in on an emergency basis noticing transmission fluid flooding out onto the ground a few blocks away. They dropped everything and put it on the lift and explained its nothing to do with the transmission it likely is the idle air control valve--which I could not have fixed at the time. I replaced it when home and van has been fine since. But I did have them replace all mys squealing belts which I dont know how they made a profit from the price they charged. They also dropped everything and did that on the spot which was shocking. A year later my ac stopped working and other places were quoting me your looking at fifteen hundred EASY! for us to look at it. I was in the area again working and stopped in and they instantly found out it was not the ac--my radiator fan had stopped working which triggers the ac to shut off. Once again they fixed it on the spot while I waited--being on a road trip to work away from home. They are great to deal with and you can instantly tell they have ZERO interest in ripping people off--I trust them explicitly and im 65 and have been to alot of shops. I regret that I dont live in the area any longer. If I break down I may TRAVEL there if I can--to have the work done. I also notice they seem to know everything about every possible thing on my vehicle--they do not wait till you are out of earshot then go on line to start researching. They are getting ready to expand --its clear why--they will do well and go far.

Brought my 96 cobra here because Stan said he would get it taken care of and back on the road. I was told a week is all it would take to get my car fixed and returned to me. That turned into 3 and a half weeks after every other day being told tomorrow, tomorrow tomorrow once the week was up. That sucked. When I dropped my car off, I requested my car not be stored outside, stan said it wouldnt be a problem. I picked my car up to see that it was filthy and obviously left outside after being assured it wouldnt. Now, for the fun part: upon picking my car up, I noticed a vibration that was getting worse and worse and worse. I called stans shop only to be sent to voicemail, but left a message letting him know my car was doing something that it was not doing when I dropped it off. I then decided to take my car to get the tires balanced to see if maybe a weight had fallen off, but to my disgust it turned out I was missing 3 lugnuts on my front wheel, which was on the verge of falling off the car. Upon inspecting the other wheels, we found EVERY lugnut was hardly hand tight on my car. This almost ended in disaster as I had my two young children in the car with me, and had the wheel fallen off it would have been terrible for all parties involved. Lucky, that didnt happen. I called this morning just to tell him what happened only to be told Im an idiot that doesnt know what Im talking about (this idiot is master ASE certiefied...just like you but without the time). Stan then told me that they dont touch tires or rims for transmission work and said it wasnt them.I originally called to inquire about that myself because i agree that removal of the tires and rims is not needed for the type of repair that was done. He swore up and down that his mechanic didnt touch my rims but funny thing is how does he know his mechanic didnt touch my rims? 9 out of the 10 times I called, Stan was not even at the shop to make sure his employees are doing a proper job, which is probably why it took two and a half weeks longer than promised to get my car back to me. I was angry and did not accept his answer, then for some reason he felt the need to tell me Ive got a million dollars sitting in my bank account. Then go smelt it into gold and shove the bar where the sun doesnt shine. Your money means nothing, and helps absolutely nothing. He then hung up on me. I further went and inspected my car to find two missing bellhousing bolts and loose universal joint bolts on my driveshaft. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING HERE. Theyve lost my trust and I will do everything in my power to make sure nobody else deals with this. Im lucky that Im a car guy, because the average person would have absolutely no clue. Unfortunately Stan tried to assume that I am one of those people. Ive forwarded my complaint to the BBB as well. Everything in this post is honest and truthful, so Stan go ahead and challenge this review like you said you would. Google Reviews is here to protect the customer, NOT the business. Dont bring your car here. Dont let a loved one bring their car here. My children and I could have lost our lives because of this lack of mechanical ability, personal integrity/responsibility, and in 2018 its absolutely unacceptable. You are forever branded as Liars, and I want the world to see it.

All the guys are always friendly. I love the fact that they dont treat me like im just a dumb girl. I have had my truck in a couple times now and could not be happier with the prices and the money they saved me. These guys are a fair honest shop.

Very dishonest business practices. I took my car to get no start issue diagnosed. When they called they said they put a new distributor in ( didnt ask if I wanted them to) and my bill was nearly $600. I will never return nor recommend. Feeling conned.
