Me and my girlfriend were purchasing a house from them and they were honest very helpful to all our questions they all have great team work skills and they all coordinate with each other very well. This Home Center made it easy to complete the home buying process. After searching several other lots and manufacturers we chose Oakwood Homes because of the dedication of the Sales staff and the quality of the homes. They have a great selection of various models on display and have no hidden costs. Furthermore, just after close the GM provided us with and explained in detail a checklist of 20 items called often about which will save us time, money, and headaches of having to ask. They are A-1 in their field and are available to answer any question within a very reasonable amount of time. I will definitely refer my friends, family, and other buyers to this location. Oakwood Homes of Conroe is an awesome place to buy your new home. I’ll make a much longer story allot shorter by saying after going other places and getting the run around and not all information disclosed up front just to try to sell me something thankfully our family found Oakwood. Bryan was our Rep that we worked with and along side him the manager Matt. Bryan did an amazing job from beginning to end from setting all the expectations to giving us all the options to disclosing all information and answering all of our questions and we had allot of questions. Both gentlemen are awesome, professional, upfront, honest and to the point which I really prefer from a company. They didn’t look at our family as a number they looked at our family as friends/family and wanted to help us pick a home that was right for us. Never once felt pressured or like we were being sold. Everything from beginning to end was exactly as they said it would would be. I waited to post this review until about 2-3 months after being in our home Our home is perfect and as expected everything has been great and we absolutely love it. I’d recommend them to everyone and have recommended them to my friends and family in the area. If I could give more than 5 stars I would they knocked it out of the park.

Creaking floors, still no air or heat in my master bathroom, home is not leveled correctly as doors still do not close without force. With the exception of the creaking floors, all of these things have been noted but not repaired correctly. I would think that the creaking floors have to do with the fact that the home has never been correctly leveled. Repeated requests for someone who knows how to properly fix these things have only been answered with “He’s all we have. There’s no other choice.” So, I paid cash for a home and now have to settle for improper repairs.

This is our 3rd mobile home investment and our 2nd with Oakwood homes in 2 months. That alone should tell you Oakwood homes knows how to deliver! Our first one took a little longer because we financed, but our second one we paid cash and we signed, sealed, and had our home delivered in a week and a half, thanks to Dylan! The manager Matt gave us a nice discount for being return customers, which is a huge incentive to come back for our next one. But most importantly, these people are just genuinely really nice people who you can trust. They will not ask for a deposit and sell your trailer out from under you and make you wait for another one to be delivered (not that this happened to me, but Ive heard stories like this). The quality of the home and the layouts they have surpassed many of the other dealers we looked at. I highly recommend Oakwood homes for your next forever home or investment home.

Don’t get trapped in the web of their signage saying they can offer a home for that price... what they don’t tell you is that is the price of the HOME ONLY! Not delivered or set up, so by the time I was all excited about getting a home with my approved lender I wanted a home they are advertising for $39,900 but being told now that delivered and set up that home is around $55k and I need the well and septic done but apparently they only offer both services if you buy one of their expensive fancy homes... I’m not gonna keep settling to buy a home off of you people get with the program and be an honest business, people are trying to buy a home off of you and you are misleading them with your pricing! So done working with y’all and trying to make a deal

My journey with Oakwood homes of Conroe has been going on since March of 2020. It is now September of 2020. I have been living in my home since about the first week of July of 2020. Two months almost three.From the start, Dylan did a very good job. Very charismatic and accommodating. Was on top of his business throughout the home buying process and when I pointed out an issue with his lack of attentiveness to a situation, he took accountability and tried harder. This makes Dylan standout to me and he did an awesome job.There were a few issues with the installation of the home. The contract company who was responsible for the pad and utility connections left a mess of dirt in front of the house that created a lot of problems for me. However, the owner of contract company came out and cleaned it up beyond my satisfaction and there is now grass over 75% of the area.Recovering from error is extremely important in providing good service. So far, I can look back and recommend Oakwood and Clayton homes to my friends and family. However, that changes from here on out.Where things get complicated is warranty repairs. When you order a Clayton Home from Oakwood, you expect that there are going to be repairs to be made once the home is one site. My home was built in 3 days on an assembly line. So I understand.The first inventory of repairs included crooked cabinets, canless LED lights not working, crooked front door and crooked front storm door. After waiting weeks for parts, I now had 4 bad Lights, and a warped countertop. They decided to not come out yet and order more parts. This resulted in another wait of a couple of weeks.Fast forward and the repair contractor comes out. They did not replace the countertop I waited weeks for, tried to glue the warped countertop back together and didnt address any of the crooked cabinets. If they had the countertop with them, why not replace it? If I waited for this countertop top come in, why not replace?After an email exchange, the contractor returned about 1-2 weeks later and replaced the countertop, said he couldnt fix the front door that is now leaking cold air out of and still didnt fix the crooked cabinet doors. I was told that every home Clayton makes has a crooked front door that doesnt seal and they cannot fix it. The sink is now bent on the corners, sink is not properly caulked. So far more things have been broken than repaired.Every time the contractor comes out to do repairs, I make sure that the issues are clearly communicated to Cindy via a detailed list. By the time the contractor comes out, all the issues I communicated are forgotten or it is not communicated to the contractor from Oakwood.After a phone meeting with Matthew (General Manager) and Cindy and more emails and pictures they have decided to order another countertop, sink, and attempt to fix the door and cabinets. Be aware that I am having to follow up with them every time. They are not following up with me on the status of parts or decisions on how to proceed.It is now 9/25/2020. Two months have gone by since the saga of the Clayton home repairs has begun. The countertop is now water damaged from everyday dish water splashing around, the faucet in the kitchen is loose, allowing water under it. the countertop is sagging behind the faucet, the cabinets have never been repaired nor attempted to be repaired, the sink is now bent on the corners. What good is a one year warranty when you spent 3-4 months getting repairs done.UPDATE--After the issues were escalated, by me, to Matts manager all problems were corrected. I had to get the manufacturer involved to repair the floor and after removing the repairs done by the home center (Oakwood) the floor is damn near perfect.After a poor performance by Oakwood Homes, they had to face to net promoter score review process. Prior to my review, I was approached with a $200 gift card for a good review. This is called a bribe. No thanks. Have some integrity.

My husband and I went to Oakwood Homes for a specific model. I have to say that Matt and Scott went above and beyond to get us in our home within the short time frame that we were working with. Our house was on back order and they were able to get us in our home at least 6 months earlier than we should have been. Any questions we had they were patient and prompt in answering them for us. It is their goal to be the best within a 60 mile radius and I have to say that I believe that they are. I would definitely recommend them to everyone. We started off going around Clayton Homes in the Houston area during summer. Each time we went the sales people handed us a key and said go look at the houses and tell us what you like when you come back in.Our first visit to Oakwood homes we met with Kyle. He asked what we were looking for and personally walked us into every home and explained the different features and amenities. We changed our mind probably 2 or 3 times on what house we wanted, but never felt pressured to close.During the whole processes every sales person asked us if we needed anything or had any questions. The manger Mathew is super friendly and helpful.As someone that visited just about every single Clayton Homes, Palm Harbor, etc in the Houston area...Oakwood homes is far and away the most professional, friendly, and knowledgeable on the product they sell.

I have recently started work here and I was wondering what it would be like here as many of you might be wondering that as well. Over the last two weeks, as I have been shadowing my fellow colleagues, I have been extremely impressed with the way they treat everyone that comes here. Great service

They want you to put a $500 deposit down in order to accept your application, yet if you decide that you no longer want to go through them it takes over two weeks to get your check back. They tell you that as long as you request your check by Tuesday you will get it by that Friday. This has not been the case for us on two different occasions. Each time it has taken us over two weeks to get our deposit back. Other than that their service is good, the Manager spent a lot of time with us and answered all our questions.

Buyer Beware!!!!! The shopping and buying process was easy and pleasant, but once you get moved in everything changes. You are no longer a concern to them. We have had nothing but issues with our house and none of the big problems have been fixed. Guess its time to report them to the state and get a lawyer involved!

Joan norman is fantastic and worthy. i was unable to complete my sale last year and within 7 days of telling her i could not she refunded my deposit as she said would happen. sales people usually blow smoke up your ..... she did not and that is why nearly a year later i am going to see her to purchase tomorrow. rarely you find sales people you can trust farther than you can throw them but she earned my trust and i will repay that
