Very nice first time experience! Place was spotless clean. Full Staff all friendly. Frappes hit the spot. Brought home red velvet and turtle brownies.. Oh my my. Will be taking this newly founded short cut home more often!

Wonderful customer service. They helped me carry my purchases to the car. The birthday cupcakes I bought were delicious (Im told, since I didnt grab one before they ran out), and the German chocolate cake was so good. Rich and decadent. Will definitely use this bakery again.

Fantastic find! They are very kind and pet friendly, found them on a walk with our puppy and they let us cool off. They even offered a bowl of water for our pup!We had their smoothies while we were there, which absolutely hit the spot. So definitely gonna go back and have some more.

This place is close to my work, and very convenient. The menu seems quite impressive, but this was only my first visit to this business. I will certainly be back again. The staff was very friendly during my brief interaction with them.. the place is well decorated, and very clean. I ordered their chicken tender basket on a recommendation from a friend. It was affordable, cooked to order, and the chicken was very good. They even had honey mustard cups for my To go order! I knocked a star for the fries, unfortunately. They are crinkle cut, not seasoned, and frozen. Frozen and crinkle cut isnt an issue, but this seemed like a place that would make it fresh. The issue is that they were not seasoned, and they were a bit undercooked, and without seasoning, this made for soft, bland fries. It could be a fluke, but as it made half of my meal unenjoyable, I feel a 4 out of 5 is fair.

You will not regret your experience here. Friendly staff. Great food. Well priced. Lots to choose from.

Love the atmosphere! Great to meet a friend and enjoy a leisurely lunch with New Orleans jazz. Saturday beignets was a plus and the not your mama grilled cheese was yummy! Glass cases full of cup cakes, cakes, cookies and brownies make it impossible to choose. Specialty Coffees, and they can bake your next cake too! Awesone customer service. Ill be back!

Deliciously smooth Americano coffee. It was not bitter at all. And I spared myself some calories but the treats sure looked yummy!I also saw some cute trinkets that I know my daughters would love to have. I will be going back.

Personal service from friendly, knowledgeable staff.Good for family and small groups, but seems mainly geared toward professional staff reflective of location near County Courthouse and Law Offices.Clean restroom, but is just one facility for all customers. Observing COVID19 protocols, but maintains a professional and service level that I appreciated during my visit.Parking is somewhat limited; like all of Downtown Conroe; but walking distance in the area poses no real hardship or nuisance (except of course for heavy weather days).Ill be back, feel free to widen your world and at least make one visit, Im sure it will be a positive experience for all.

As much as I love to support non-chain bakeries, I should have known better. I even asked if they were baked that day (because honestly, they looked dry) and her reply was they were baked fresh. Well they must have been baked fresh a few days ago. It was dry and spongie and inedible. Wasted $3.00 and some change. Now to go find something to get that taste out of my mouth.

Definitely a gem in downtown conroe. Had no idea this place existed! Met here with family for lunch and coffee and we were so pleased! Cute shop, great food and friendly people! Will definitely be back soon.

I’ve been here 3 times. Each time they are always very sweet. You will have to wait a few minutes for your order as they only have a few staff. The atmosphere is very happy and peaceful. It’s also very eclectic. You’re paying for the quality of food you’re getting. Also, keep in mind it’s a small business.

Were always popping into Verneles New Orleans Bakery & Cafe on Main Street in Conroe for coffees, treats, sandwiches or gumbo. Its quickly become an old faithful for our family!

Had purchased multiple cupcakes from here and they were delicious. I purchased a cake for my mom for Mothers Day and, it was disgusting! Cake was dry and the icing tasted like pure butter. All of the cake went straight into the trash can.

Gumbo was very good. Would recommend. My friend had the oreo brownie for dessert and was disappointed with the thick icing on top. I had the raspberry shortcake. I was equally disappointed with my dessert. I was oversweet.

We stopped in for some drinks and sweets. While the lemonade was good, the cupcake we had was truly awful. It had to have been a week old. Our forks couldnt even get through the icing, thats how hard it was and the cake was just so chewy and stale. For $3.50 per cupcake we expected a little more than a tiny, stale cupcake.

I had purchased 6 cupcakes that were very beautiful for Mother’s Day, but as a first time buyer at this location, the cupcakes were too sweet for my liking. So keep that in mind whenever you purchase cupcakes from this bakery.

After reading about this place in the Impact I tried it today. There was a menu on the wall and a paper menu given to me by the cashier. I ordered a box lunch. My sandwich was ok but cheese was left off. When I was paying I saw a 10% discount for seniors but since she already rang me up it was to late. I tried to access their wi fi but needed a password. Couldnt find anyone to get it from. The music was upbeat. As I was leaving I saw a new item menu on the wall. It would have been nice to be told about that before I ordered.

Didnt have a good first impression, and they werent very busy.Update to manager response. I wish I could post the picture I just took. I ordered the food between 11 and 12 to go. Its now 3 oclock as Im writing this. I ordered multiple things but I did not eat the salad I ordered immediately and thats what Im referring to. You website mentions housemade dressings but what I got was packaged Kens. The salad was the apple pecan gorganzola and there was no gorganzola. I would have brought it to their attention but as I said I did not eat it immediately. Also the girls preparing everything werent communicating well so I sat waiting on it longer than I had to. One started it and the other brought part directly to me, not a big deal but I just did not have a great first impression.

We loved the boudin kolache. We got a Vietnamese coffee which was good but a bit too sweet. Their cupcakes are beautiful.

OMG the chocolate cake!! This little shop is wonderful! They were very hospitable and accommodated our extra person, gave us a variety of tastings for our wedding cake selection. Hot chocolate was yummy and breakfast sandwich was delish. Ill update when I get my wedding cake pictures.

My dad brought a few pies for Thanksgiving and they were FANTASTIC! The pecan pie was the best I ever had, and the apple crumble was so tasty. There were also sugar free options, which is so thoughtful and they were just as yummy as the regulars!

Terrible service!! They made me drive 30 minutes to get to the bakery and they didn’t had my cake ready, that was ordered a week ago and totally paid. They totally ruined my sisters birthday surprise. On top of that, they had a terrible attitude, and one of them told me to chill out! Never going back again.

This place was a horrible experience as we patiently wait for our cake, which was ordered weeks in advance, the staff didnt seem to care about our issue, and it was a lack of productivity and customer service, we are not going to order from here again.

This is my second purchase from her and I couldnt be happier! This time I ordered assorted pastries for my baby shower and everything was perfect. All my guests commented on how good everything was and there was barely any leftovers,which I very gladly took care of ;) Ill definitely be using making more purchases in the future.

At a bakery cafe I expected these to both in their wheelhouse. Bagel appeared to be a supermarket bought bready version. The flat white I couldnt drink it was like warm and tasted like it came from a gas station.

First off, Linda is an amazing woman. She did my wedding cake and helped me through the process. During the tasting it was actually difficult to choose our flavors because they were all so good! She also delivered all the way in Galveston and set it up. The cake was so beautiful and delicious, all the guests loved it! I would definitely recommend Verneles!!

I had to write this review after our 2nd order for birthday cakes. The first was a custom Vanilla and Cinnamon, 6 inch naked cake. OMG, by far the best cake Ive ever eaten. The birthday girl said she had it for breakfast until it was gone. Second cake was a custom Italian cream with Kalua added into the icing and Malibu rum added to cake batter. It was also a very moist and delicious naked cake. Also, both decorated beautifully. First experience with this bakery but it wont be our last. Amy was so nice and very accommodatingA great little find.

Outstanding service. We ordered a custom fondant cake for my daughter’s graduation from Texas Tech University. The cake incorporated different symbols unique to TTU. We also ordered a sheet cake that was excellent.Highly recommended.

Verneles Bakery provided the cake for my wedding and it was a huge hit. Linda did a fantastic job that exceeded our expectations. She was easy to work with and made it a point to fully understand what we were looking for, both with the design and the taste. The cake was beautiful and delicious. I would highly recommend this bakery.

Horrible!!! They never showed up to my daughters wedding with the wedding cake! Did not answer our calls the day of. We had to call from different phones to get them to pick up their phone and when they finally answered all we got was an Im sorry we had the wrong date but we will give you a full refund. Are you kidding me?!!! Buyer beware!
