Had some car damage on the road, the plastic undercarriage of my car was scraping along the road. They quickly took a look and had it fixed in no time. Was back on the road within the hour. Extremely professional, would recommend to anyone!
They will overcharge you mercilessly. After my first service there, I experienced a problem. It was a leak of fuel coming from under the back seat. 10 days later, I went back, and they finally admitted the mistake they made. So I was driving my MB with gasolineleaking for 10 days. They never even consider a discount, not even one dollar. This behavior should have been a clear sign that these people are after your money, only.I should have known better, and never take the car back to this dishonest people. But unfortunately I did it, believing that, as they said, they made an honest mistake. So when I went to change the serpentine belt, they overcharged me again. The worst part was when, after suggesting more work on my car, they overcharged meagain, and this time a lot The owner was hiding in the garage when I went to pick up my car.He was not willing to tell me was done after they charged me 6 K.I had a potential new customer for them. I had my partner with me who wanted to see thework they did, and considered to take his Audi to be serviced by them. He said: Stay awayfrom these people. They will never value your trust, or your loyalty, as a return customer. When we asked questions about the work done, and the charges, the rude owner whowas hiding in the garage, was was unwilling to explain. We also felt that thesepeople are bigoted towards us. They are definitely one irredeemable mess.
Found out about this place when I moved back into town and have been coming here for years since. Great, honest, no pageantry auto shop
I was involved in a minor accident in front of Village motors. My car wouldn’t start and a truly kind employee helped me diagnose and charged the battery of my car for free. It made my day! Thanks again!
We were driving on the highway and a plastic piece was hanging over our front tire and causing an awful screeching sound when we were driving. Village European took care of us immediately and saved us when we were on our way to my son’s baseball game In Worcester. They are super friendly and I’d recommend anyone to use their services.
For more than 10 years I have found Village European to be professional and decent in every way. They have no doubt saved me a boat load of money by giving me honest assessments of whether I needed work done or not, where I could save on repairs without compromising safety, when repairs could be under warranty, as well as excellent work on all our cars.I trust them.
Very prompt feedback about my car state and recommended repairs needed was clearly stated to help me decide. Pleasantly happy for finding a place to service my BMW.
Working with Village European is why I am going to be able to own a classic car one day. They have been with me from the beginning with my car for a presale review. I will work with them to the end of the days of my car (... that will be never!). Their service solutions are clear and explained. I am given options for the work. Action is confirmed with me before the work starts. Nothing is ever missed. I am the car owner who wants everything just right. They pursue even the seemingly most minor issue that I bring in. One sound had us driving slowly around the neighborhood with a mechanic basically in the trunk … we fixed it.
Ive never felt more compelled to say good things about a business! The whole experience was wonderful. Im a bright gal, but am prone to ask tons of dumb questions when it comes to cars. Im thankful that they took the time to answer my questions thoughtfully, and the truly dumb ones with a grain of salt (i.e. will my car blow up?)Some good humans make up the team there: Kathy was so incredibly lovely and helpful when I called (essentially in crisis mode) yesterday afternoon. She was helpful, genuine, and understanding. She booked an appointment for me to bring my car in this afternoon - and said to ask for Jake when I arrived. Jake was great, and Im sure I held up his evening since I arrived late on a Friday night - but he was so very patient and accommodating. And then theres Dave: the car whisperer. What I appreciate most about Dave is that he really took the time to educate me on what was going on with the car. Hes been doing this for a while, and is clear as his knowledge on the subject of cars (Mercedes) is profound.Im incredibly grateful to know this place exists, and even more so that its close to my home.Thank you so much!!
In October I purchased a used vehicle from Wayne over at Village European. The entire process was up-front, friendly, and professional. My wife and I were very satisfied with the vehicle in the following months, when an unfortunate turn of events occurred just three months after our purchase when a manufacturers defect reared its ugly head.Unexpectedly, the transmission on our newly-purchased vehicle broke, rendering the car inoperable. After obtaining multiple quotes from local auto body mechanics, my wife and I were looking at a $4000 expense just to get the car running again. Not expecting Wayne at Village European to do anything considering it was a used vehicle purchase with no warranty, I called just to share my frustration. To my surprise, Wayne stood by his sale and immediately offered to pick up the vehicle where I had left it with their tow truck, at no cost, and bring it back to their shop to provide an estimate. Wayne called within a few days to let me know that indeed, the transmission would need to be replaced or undergo heavy repair. The difference was Wayne told me he wanted us to be satisfied with our car and that he would do all the work for free!We received our car just a few weeks later, with a new transmission installed. Since that time our car has run without issue, and we are just in awe of the customer service we received from Village European. I didnt think anyone would go to this length to satisfy their customers, but they did, and I would recommend this business to anyone looking for honest treatment in sales and service.
Great experience here. Customer service is excellent. Very quick turn around time. I highly recommend them.
These guys are great! I went in for an emergency fix and they fixed it in great timing and said it was free of charge! I wish I lived closer, I would definitely go here again for any car issues! Thank you again for making sure my car was able to get me home safely!
So yesterday was a delightful but bittersweet experience as I turned in my third Audi A6 AllRoad ... this one a 2005 with 235,000 miles. It was a terribly sad parting for me because I LOVE this particular model and am not comfortable paying 74K for the new replacement. The only reason I have been able to have the joy of driving these cars ... which are admittedly a bit expensive and require very specialized service people with a LOT of patience to keep them reliably on the road ... is because the truly AMAZING team at Village European have the in depth knowledge, experience, patience and kindness to dedicate themselves to caring for folks like us who love their cars! And for more than sixteen years ... they have been doing just this ... taking the BEST care of my cars and me for the most reasonable price possible! So a zillion thanks to Dave and Rick and the whole team at Village European who have moved mountains to keep all four of my old Audis on the road for as long as conceivably possible! You guys (and gal!) are the BEST!!! And I could not recommend your business more highly if it were my own!!!
We recently purchased a vehicle through Village European Sales for our daughter. Wayne was extremely helpful through the process giving us suggestions after listening to our interests and needs. He came up with several vehicle options for us and provided specific recommendations and things to look for that we hadn’t even considered. That helped us make the right choice-and more importantly, our daughter loves the vehicle. We were able to get an almost new vehicle for a significantly reduced price through an auction and the detail/repairs done to the vehicle were amazing. There isnt one thing there that doesnt look brand new. The whole process felt smooth, timely, and our daughter has a car that will last her many years.
Saw a 2000 Mercedes Benz CLK 320 convertible for a great price. The dealership is about 1 hour away from my home. Cathy & Dave stayed late on Saturday. After everything was handled to purchase the vehicle they delivered the vehicle to my area. I had to return for one question again Dave and Cathy stayed late checking whether there was an issue walked me through every area of the vehicle.Great dealership, great owners!!!If I could give more than 5 stars I certainly would.
Dave and Chip are wonderful professionals who really care about you and your car. They know Audis and BMWs inside out and are committed to doing the best job possible. They also take extra time to make sure you understand what is needed and why.I recently had to have my car towed because of a check engine light and, what we thought to be a low oil pressure light. Both Dave and Chip spent hours going over the car trying to diagnose the problem and talking to my husband and myself. It turned out to be nothing serious and I was charged the Diagnostic fee only. I have since taken it back for service and couldnt be happier. They charge a fair price for great work.As an Audi owner for many years I have found that many mechanics really dont know how to work on my car or misdiagnose issues. This will not happen with Village European. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
An amazing professional crew. Cant thank them highly enough for their awesome service! They are completely honest with their customers, this is rare in mechanics!
Working with Wayne and Curtis (owners) has been a pleasure! They were up front, honest and very fair with pricing.I ran into a hiccup with my bank and they guided me through the whole thing. They went the extra mile to get things done quickly and efficiently.I love my new car - highly recommend going here!
Was on my way to work when I noticed white/smokey exhaust coming out of my Subaru and a burning smell. Pulled over and was lucky enough to find Village European. The owner and mechanic were extremely helpful and friendly, gave me advice on where to get a tow, and next steps. Didnt charge me a dime! Really helpful, friendly people. Highly recommend!
I like Village European better than the dealer because they are always under any dealer quote for work, and do it right the first time. If I have any technical questions about my car repair, they are more than happy to explain in detail or even bring me under the lift to show me. I like them better than other local independent shops because the facility is clean and classy…Dave and the techs are well trained and have been there a long time. They’ve got the friendly neighborhood vibe but with state of the art expertise. I seriously don’t know why anyone would want to go to a dealer and be a number. My 530i is always coming here. I don’t have time or money to waste going anywhere else.
Expert service at competitive prices. Very efficient .
I brought my mini cooper to be serviced here a few months ago and the staff were excellent! The bill was fair and actually cheaper than I thought it would be. Im very surprised by the previous poor reviews. This is an excellent shop and I will continue to bring my car and refer friends to this place. Thanks Village European!
I used to work for Dave (owner of Village European as well as the Benz Den in Belmont) many years ago, and am now a customer.Dave is a good guy, incredibly technically competent, hires good competent people, and does good diagnostic and repair work.Yes your bill at Village European might be a little higher than at some other shops, but the work will be done right the first time, and with quality parts, not Chinese junk. Your bill might also be lower than other shops because at VE theyll diagnose the problem correctly, and not just keep replacing parts until the problem goes away.I recommend them 100%.
Village European is great. A funny story. I had a small bird stuck in the grill of my BMW. The bird was alive. I brought my car to the shop and Dave and his team took it in right away. They were able to remove the bird and he flew away unharmed. And they did not charge for the work. I highly recommend Village European.
Ive had two cars serviced, emergency repaired, tires changed, and alignments. Service has been fast and friendly, prices fair. Staff, including service manager, is very knowledgeable about my cars.
Great experience here. Customer service is excellent. Very quick turn around time.On the COLDEST day of winter so far, the car decides to have a flat tire. Awesome. After unsuccessfully trying to put the spare on (as my road side assistance asked me to wait 2 hours), I gave up went to Village European and they helped me replace my tire and did not charge me for the service.Highly recommended !!!
Need a B service on my 3013 C300 Mercedes. I was quoted around $650 exactly $100 more than the Dealer Herb Chambers. When Iquestioned the cost I was told that was the best that he could do.I live in Concord and I have been here since 1983 I am tired of the increased prices because I live in this town. So Back to Chambers and Its on the MB computer which helps when trade in time comes. ~~Silly
They did a really awesome job fixing my car. It was a fair price for work done very quickly. I have started going to them for a lot of preventative maintenence and service and in the long run it seems to be really paying off. Their service desk work Jake was super helpful and made sure I understood what was happening with my car. He definitely cares about the customer and wants to make sure I am happy and comfortable with what is being done. Car service is never cheap and always stressful when its a major repair, but its really nice being able to know you can trust the place and people you bring it too. I highly recommend this shop.
I recently sold my vehicle through Village European. Ray McGowan and his staff were extremely helpful in getting my vehicle detailed, marketed and sold at a price I was pleased with. They promptly delivered the check and paperwork to me, which was really helpful based on my busy schedule.Im planning to use them when the time comes to purchase my next vehicle, since they will go out and find what I am looking for and strive to get the best price with no high-pressure sales pitch.
I was referred to Village European by a friend who takes his BMW to the track and has all his service done here. I have been bringing my M3 here since I got it 5 years ago and the service has always been outstanding. They describe exactly what needs to be done and the work it top notch. They have done work on my tires, brakes, suspension, cooling fan, and even the variable timing system on the engine,I brought my car here after a local dealer stripped the oil drain plug in the aluminum oil pan and wanted over $2000 to fix it. Chip was able to repair the oil pan and save me a ton of money. When the cooling fan failed, my car overheated across the street from a local BMW dealer and I paid to have it brought to Village European on a ramp truck to be sure the work was done right.
Buying a used car through Village European was a great experience. They helped me find my dream car, and dealt with the private seller for me to assure that I was getting a good deal on a good car.Dave is a very knowledgeable, detailed, experienced mechanic. Before he buys any car, he does a detailed inspection of all parts, inside and out, so you know youre getting a car with no issues. If there are any minor mechanical or body issues, they will be professionally repaired before you receive the car.Village European took care of all of the paperwork for me - title transfer, warranty transfer, registration, state inspection, carfax check, etc. I didnt have to do any running around. I identified the car I wanted, met with them once to sign all of the paperwork, then came back a week later to pick it up and drive away. My new (used) car is beautiful, and my buying experience was incredibly easy.
Very disapointed. Went to look at a car here that was advertised as being In Excellent Condition on the Internet. Yet when I showed up, the vehicle in question, the battery was completely dead and the vehicle was locked up. Not even the mechanic was able to gain access to the vehicle until later that day. Clearly this vehicle was not as advertised, and I withdrew my interest in the car. I do not want to deal with a headache like that in my next vehicle.
Very quick service! Friendly staff. Ill be back.
Sold a car to a different person when deal was already made.... Scam
Great experience. Love our new jeep wrangler, thank you!!
I highly recommend Village European, for sales or service.I have purchased two vehicles from them and been completely satisfied with all aspects of the transactions . One had small issue a few months after we took delivery and it was taken care of promptly and at no expense to me, the other vehicle has had no issues at all. I also bring them back to VE for regular maintenance and repairs and I couldnt be happier! Dave and his crew do excellent work and from my experience have done more during there service procedures than the OEM dealer did, all for roughly the same cost. These guys appreciate my business and Im happy to have found them, and support a local family business oversome giant dealer that takes my money and couldnt care less.
I recently pulled into Village European when I got a flat tire on my Toyota while driving in rush hour on Route 2. I was in a jam because Ive let my AAA membership lapse and cant change a tire. The service manager, Jake fixed it for me with no problem & no charge! I cant say thank you enough to him for helping me. I had never been there before but I could tell they are knowledgeable and caring, especially after hearing the customer before me picking up his car. He seemed pleased with the explanation of the work done. I would definitely recommend Village European!
Rick, the service manager was friendly to work with. Took my bmw 335xi in to have the transfer case fluid replaced and have the control unit reprogrammed for the new fluid. While looking over the car they let me know about a malfunctioning flex joint and another piece. I had them replace it, which was more expensive than i thought it would be, but still cheaper than the dealer. I would take my car back based on the experience I had. Only downfall is they only have a couple loaner cars and no shuttle, which is common with smaller facilities.
Dave has been taking care of my old Benzes for 15 years, and Ive been very happy. (1990 420sel until 2014, 2008 r350 and 2008 e550 since then).
Very clean. The staff interaction was excellent, educational and engaging.
Best BMW service station this side of the Atlantic.
After almost two years, I finally found the car which fulfills a lifelong passion. A red 1989 560sl was sitting in the showroom just waiting for me. Perfect! Previously a one owner local car with low miles with an outstanding service history from Village European, it was delivered to me in near pristine condition. Ray McGowen and Village European owner Dave Clark really know how to put it all together for the customer. Ray is the quintessential sales manager who takes the time to understand the passion one has for a particular model. No detail too small when it comes to customer satisfaction. Dave Clark, in addition being the owner and head mechanic, made sure the car was as mechanically close to perfect on the day I took delivery. Ray took care of any cosmetic details and was great to work with right from the outset beginning with my first phone call and visit to Village European. And of course Jake took care of the service details in the background.I not only have the car of my dreams, but also new friends who will always be there for the continued service of my 560sl and for my future purchase considerations. Thanks Guys!
For both my 2001 BMW 740i (a somewhat high-maintenance car, although fun to drive), and the 2007 Audi A8 that replaced it (an amazingly reliable car over the almost 5 years Ive had it), Ive always been very impressed by the work done by Village European, and Chip Myers (who used to work at a similar shop in Lexington). Chip and the rest of the team have a friendly and confident manner, and are expert at all things Audi, BMW, Mercedes and they always do a great job. Each time Ive needed service, such as LOF, 55K service, tire / wheel service, suspension parts needing replacement, engine control systems (CEL, O2 sensors etc.), or preventative cooling system service (on the BMW), it has always been done right the first time, in a very timely manner and with a very pleasant attitude. This is in contrast to the experiences Ive had at various dealers (Acura, Honda, Audi, etc.) in the past where problems didnt get solved right over multiple visits, or the car ended up needing extra days to get all the needed parts, etc.So I think the small team approach of Village European leads to predictably good results without that feeling of being overcharged or getting lost in the bureaucratic shuffle that happens at some dealers.
Little to no knowledge of car guy wasn’t truthful
I took my car here for new front brakes. I was given an estimate for new front brakes, new calipers, and a brake flush of $1,384.41. While the guy working the desk was very friendly I could immediately tell it was one of those garages which would do all the work they could possibly convince you you needed on the car... they werent going to be completely honest with you. I picked up my car because I felt that was ridiculous and felt I was being taken for a fool. I called around to many other garages to get an estimate on the same work and no one quoted me over $700 so I knew I was being scammed. I took it to another local garage and got the same exact work done that Village European said I needed done for a grand total of $543........... Dont make the mistake of getting your routine maintenance done here
Never called me back and said they would.. ill go elsewhere then i guess
They watched a how-to on used car salesman and mimicked it to a T. Second star was for hilarity.
Scammer
