So I had a total tire failure and this is the only tire place anywhere near me that was open on Sunday.I read the reviews and saw a lot of dissatisfied customers. And I kept thinking about the legal issue the auto centers got into in California in the 90s. But having no other choice I came in today. I realized that what I really needed to do was replace all 4 tires (they were technically bald and it was long overdue).They ordered me a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 plus and promised to install them for me tomorrow when they arrive. I am super picky on tires and I didnt like what they had available in-stock. Just my ism.I declined the alignment and protection package. That was really expensive and my car tracks perfectly fine and has worn all the tires very evenly in the last 131,000 miles. Why risk any adjustments, I thought. Plus Im still money in the bank if one fails (unlikely) and I have to replace it.They gave me a great out the door price for mounting, balancing and new stems. I managed to spend $852 instead of the $1,000 I was bracing for on these primo tires. They didnt pull my chain even though I was not in a position to negotiate anything.Ill update on the installation service experience once it is done.UPDATE: Got all 4 tires shipped to the store as promised and installed 24 hours later. Perfect job!! Everyone came through, including Randy and another gentleman whose name I didnt get (I think it was Miguel - not 100 pct sure). Anyway, thanks guys! Solved a nightmare for me!! Plus the tires look great.And I found a $75 rebate on the Sears website. Joy!!

Pretty good team here. You can see what services they offer online and schedule your service. Prices are not the lowest but they offer financing. This location stays very busy so you must be patient. They do have a waiting room and a texting system. Typically get my oils changes, alignment and brakes checked.

Ordered some things, came in, the guy was helping some one else. Right away the associate opened a register to help me. My order didnt come up on the computer. Thought I would have to come back, but the guy that was helping me was very nice, he went got the manager came out and went ahead and took care of it. They were both very polite and I appreciated them not making me wait. Great experience

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Avoid at all cost.I purchased tires at a very reasonable price on Amazon, and they offered to ship them directly to Sears for installation at a fair price. I needed to pick three installation times and Sears was to confirm what worked for them.Sears did confirm by text message when I should arrive. TWICE.I needed to arrange for child care and to leave work early. I then called to TRIPLE CHECK.When I arrived I was told I cant have my tires installed. WHY DID YOU CONFIRM THREE TIMES THAT I COULD?!Totally unnacceptable.Ill never set foot in a Sears again, not that yall will be around for much longer anyhow.
I bought something online for store pickup, I had to wait about 10 minutes for an employee to talk to me about it, he came back with the wrong item, then he disappeared for maybe 15 minutes, said they dont have the item that I was told was ready for store pickup after 3 days of waiting.He told me he cant help and to go home. I countered that it is not fair to say it was there and have me waiting so long. He blamed the online department. I persisted that it was unfair and that I should get an item of the same likeness. He offered me an item of the same likeness for 3x the cost, or an item from the same brand but of a completely different size. After arguing for a long while he finally let me have the item with the reason customer complained marked in the log. No, the real reason is that your store is incompetent and incompetence costs money. And while my complaint is entirely justified and logical I have no idea why you are complaining to me about your online department. IDGAF. Fix up or close up.And take 1 minute to sweep the front entrance to your business this is filthy and lazy.
They do false advertisement! I scheduled an appointment for oil change with online coupon $52.99. However when I arrived there, they told me the coupon discount is no longer available and charge me $66.
From Antioch (now closed) to Sunvalley Concord, Sear Auto Center service has declined dramatically over the years. Appointments arent honored, customer service lacks (not all but by most )... overall I recommend taking your car elsewhere. You wont get consistency here !

I took my honda Accord here for a simple oil change . I made a 2pm appointment, I dropped off my car at 130 and was told it would be 1.5 hour and to come back.i returned at 4pm my car had not been moved from the spot I parked it. I asked for manager, the assistant manager just walked away, I went to shop floor to speak with him, he got on cell phone and walked away.how disrespectful is that. A young mechanic asked what was wrong, I told him .he drove my car in and did my oil change 10 min flat.thank god for him.i am so upset about this, I will never take another vehicle there, and neither should any other elderly African Americans..1 star the mechanic,,to hell with the shop and its managers.
I love this place . I can shop the mall or go to lunch while my car gets an oil change . they always take me as a walk in and remember me from last time . they are really nice here . never a bad experience .
STAY AWAY!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!Back in July I was told that my car needed an alignment. I stupidly agreed to buy a lifetime alignment package. Big mistake. I later learned that they tell almost everyone that their car needs an alignment. Even newer models. Th fact that my car was done 5 minutes after I agreed to buy the alignment, made me suspicious, but I didnt think much of it. Now I realize that I probably wouldnt need it in the first place.I recently bought new tires at Costco and came back for an alignment. I thought that I might as well use it since I had already bought the lifetime anyway and couldnt get a refund.It turns out that this lifetime alignment thing is just a way for the to sell you more things when you come back. The person at the counter told us that we needed to flush the coolant and get a new battery. He was like Im not trying to make a sell here, but he clearly was. He was like you need this in order to take care of your car. Ill even give you a discount.We agreed to get a coolant flush ONLY because the guy at the counter assured us that they would use the pink Toyota coolant. When the job was done (I wasnt even notified, I had to come up and ask), I noticed that the coolant on my car was transparent. None of Toyotas coolants are transparent. When I told the guy at the counter about it, he said its fine -- we use a universal brand. Universal probably means a cheap generic brand. I paid 89.99 for a coolant service that will probably need to re-do soon. We were cheated and lied to.We also found a better battery deal somewhere else. Advice to everyone: DONT AGREE TO DO SOMETHING WITH THEM JUST BECAUSE THEY SAY SO. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!! These people cannot be trusted!! You have been warned!

Been in the Customer service industry my entire career. Went into Sears automotive in Concord yesterday for 2 tires for my car. Alex helped me right away and I immediately knew that I was getting good, honest service. He intelligently answered my questions completely. Sears price was lower than other places and online for the Michelins I wanted. I didnt realize they closed at 6,it was 5:45. Alex said it was no problem.He and Tuan got my tires installed and perfectly balanced quickly. I was on my way at 6:05 . Ill be back and recommend Alex and Sears Automotive Concord,Ca to anyone.
Came in with an appointment at 9 AM for tire replacements, and didnt get my car back until 12:30. Apparently they were short-staffed. In the middle of all this, I received 3 calls from different technicians to tell me I needed a wheel alignment. I declined all 3 times and each technician had no idea I had already been contacted.They did a good job on the actual service, but youd better clear your schedule-- a 1 hour job easily turns into 3+ here.

Worst service ever! I brought my car to get an alignment done which ended up taking more than 4 hours! I didnt even get an alignment done! They insisted that my breaks also needed to be fixed but assured me that it will done in time. After waiting for so long, I called to check when the car will be ready only to be informed that they have BARELY just started working on the car. Waste of time and money! Just take your car somewhere else!

I did wheel alignment today, and it went pretty well. It took 15 mins for alignment check and about 1 hour for service. Customer service also good. They explained in detail.

Took my car today for ac problem, came out with the same problem. They didnt do anything to fix it. I gave them a call and told them I still have the same problem and he told me that I need to change the ac compressor, why didnt they tell me that when they did the diagnostic. They could call me and tell me the problem but no, I have to go there and check on my car if its done and I have to wait for another 40 minutes. Poor service. Paid them for nothing. Wasted my money. Be careful when you need car repair dont go to sears auto.poooooor service.
Took my car for an oil change earlier in the week. After my visit, my check engine light came on, and wouldnt turn off. When I brought the car back, they opened the hood and the oil cap was missing. WhoeverWorked on it earlier in the week forgot to put the cap back on.... The problem was solved after a lengthy wait, and I was on my way.To say the least Its just an I convienance, and also, I am thinking Sears Auto should have competent employees, and it is a reputatible company, but I am having second thoughts.
It took 6 hours to find out they did not have the equipment to install 24 inch tires on my truck. The employees were bickering with each other about who was going to answer the phone next. I would call it amateur hour! There were no problem solving skills seen anywhere at the shop.
Even with online sppointment and service request at reservation plus again asking for my life time balance I paid for when I bought the tires the work was not done. But when the call came when they tell all the things I need I tell them just make sure the tires are balanced.Guess what? Not only did they not balance the tires they said in needed to ask for that service.Oh the 6 month alinement I paid for was not any good because car was past the 6,000 miles I didnt know about at the time. So even in retirement I guess I drive more than what will fit in there guaranteed program within 5 months.Watch for the constant up sell

Ive come to the Sears Auto in Sunvalley Mall Concord many times to have everything done from minor oil changes to suspension and complete brake work replacement. These guys are hard working, ethical, friendly and totally accommodating when it comes to customer service and guaranteeing their work. Their top mechanic Tuan is dedicated to doing things right the first time and he is by far the most honest and skilled mechanic Ive known in years. Count on him to complete a big job on your car in short time. Miguel who is one of the managers who knows automobiles and can point you in the right direction when it come to alternatives to OEM replacement parts. Sometimes OEM parts for your vehicle arent what you expect so good to have him around.He too is someone I can trust and he has the courteousness to match.Randy is also another manager whom I had come across on my very firstvisit to Sears Auto many years ago and my impression of Sears as areputable place to get service for my RAV4 Sport really was because hewas so accommodating with my time and saved me $$$ with his quotes forservicing my RAV4. I no longer bring my RAV4 to Toyotadealerships...when I can get the work done on the same morning orafternoon at this Sears Auto location - (and even having Toyota OEM parts put in), whereas Toyotarequires leaving my vehicle with them for a whole day to do the same work. Im a manager and I know when there is faulty product and this is the 5th tire that I but from these guys and they all are faulty. I ha e had to replace every single one. And I cant change brand cuz Im under some kind if warranty that still charges me for those tires. Dont buy Good Year tires from Sears!!!!!!
