They randomly open and close. Dont waste a trip. They never post about upcoming closures, or even current closures. They are open one day and then closed the next without explanation. A better customer service experience could be had by someone from this large corporation taking 5 minutes to update closures on Google, or even scribble a sorry were closed or will be closed sign on the door.
I use to work for Gibson 16 years ago, but moved to Tennessee and still buy this dinnerware. Its always been the best quality dinnerware and the prices are awesome. This product has always been good quality and beautiful. Getting better & better over the years. Im team Gibson for life☺
I have owned two Gibson Overseas dish sets for over 15 years, Gibson Elite and Gibson Housewares. These dishes are one of the few products in my home that get used every day year round. These plates are very durable and come in a variety of styles, safe for microwaves and dishwasers. They have an outlet store on the first floor of their corporate office that offers great deals on their products. If you are looking for quality dinnerware, flatware, glassware & cookware, then Gibson Overseas are the products are you looking to add to your collection.
Truck drivers, this place is very spacious and the entrance is really big. They don’t open until 7am and the security won’t let you in until that time, but once you’re in it’s a quick easy in and out. Picked up about 10 pallets and was in and out within 25 mins.
Good place to work
Dont get too comfortable working here - they will take advantage of your and give you the work of 2-3 people and you will be worked to the bone - and they wont let you work overtime because they want to save money. There are some people who have been with the company for 10+ years, but other than that, its like a revolving door of new people in my department. They cant seem to keep people in my department since people are disrespected, underpaid, and overworked - so they find better jobs and just leave without saying a word. There is no commodore between departments without lobbying people, or knowing someone in another department that is willing to help you with whatever youre working on. There is a major feeling of distrust and tension between every single department because management of each department cant work with each other so everyone under them carry that sentiment with them and give everyone the cold shoulder.I honestly dont know how were making money or even get things done on time, but it happens in the most sloppiest ways and we drop the ball almost all the time with deadlines. When I started 3 years ago, I had hopes that I could somehow work hard to implement some kind of changes - but that was not welcomed whatsoever. My Senior Director of (Unnamed Department) told me: The problem with Gibson is that everyone wants to be the boss, have the best ideas, out-do each other, or have a say in everything in everyone elses department - but nobody wants to take the time to actually sit down with other senior-level members and really draw out a map of problems and prioritize them, and explore ideas that were presented to them. Because everyone thinks theyre smarter or a harder worker than the next person, thats why we never get anything done and people have to be very fake to each other all the time. There was never once in my 10+ years being here where I really consider this my home. I always feel better when most people leave the office, or ill come in early to avoid other people. Its just a pitstop here, so take what you can and move on as fast as you can.
I did not go there...
This is a sexist place that treats its employees like dirt, and doesnt even test their hand painted dishes for the presence of lead. They call themselves manufactures, but they are importers of cheap knockoffs, for the most part. They are Iranian brothers, who treat non Iranians as inferior. They prize women based on looks, and promote accordingly. Avoid this company at all costs.
Drink dispenser had defective spigot. While I appreciate the company mailed a replacement they refused to overnight it for use at the party for which it was purchased. Disappointing customer service.
I love shopping at Gibson
I purchased 3 sets of Gibson dishes for the holidays. All three sets were damaged as a result of poor packaging design. We had a broken coffee mug on each set at the same exact spot.I tired to contact them via three different channels to get the damaged parts replaced. I even offered to pay for them. Each contact point was more disappointing than the last. Here is how they responded -Phone call - November 30. Sorry, we cannot help you. You need to return them to the place where you bought them (got them on Amazon). Since these were Christmas themed plates and Christmas was just a few weeks away, I didnt see that as an option.Contact Us form on website - November 30. This generated an auto response email. I received a response via email on December 5th. Explained the situation and even included photos of the damage. Did not get a response till December 15th. The response? Sorry, cant help you.Facebook page - November 29th. Sent note with photos of damage. Got a response 45 days later. The response? Sorry, you need to contact customer service.Bottom line? Their customer service is non existent.
Dont be in a hurry.
Great.
