We have had many horrible experiences with other companies recently so this was a relief to deal with a company that is organized, pleasant to deal with and does their work on time. Everything was organized and smooth from start to finish. Todd, the owner was very responsive to my questions and he made me feel secure that I had a good company to work with for our move. The movers that did the move were pleasant, attentive and hard working. We had to do a last minute change of the moving date and they handled that with ease. Their website is easy to navigate and has moving tips and great resources for moving supplies. Glad I chose this company and would definitely use their services again.

Broken item that has still not been repaired. Company has put it on us to follow-up and reach out to another company going on 4 months now. Movers were great, this review is about management. Once they have your money you are last on their priority.Just had a 3rd party that was scheduled by this company to come out and attempt to fix. Was charged $160.00 and not resolved. Now out the broken appliance and additional service fee.

Hiring American Moving & Storage made our move very easy! From my initial contact, they were very helpful and made sure they could provide us the best service. They asked us for a list of furniture and big items we were moving along with an estimation of boxes so they could send the right number of men, trucks and equipment. Then when they came to our house to move us, they took the time to wrap big items to make sure they did not get scratched in the move and were very cautious to protect our items and the homes we were moving in and out of. The guys were very polite and professional, and worked extremely hard to make our move as efficient as possible! I would definitely recommend this company!!

We highly recommend American Moving & Storage Company. We recently moved last week and our movers were Dan & Steve, they were prompt, efficient, professional and handled with care. Once getting to our new place, our sofa was a little too tall and bulky, they tried everything to make it work, theres light fixture in the hallway, they even removed the cover of the light fixture and removed the light bulbs, just going the extra mile to get the sofa upstairs. When it didnt work they put everything back together and tried looking for another way to bring it inside. Once the furniture was placed in its designated room, they would ask us to come take a look, to make sure our furniture was placed where wanted it. Also, had the pleasure of setting up the move with Oscar, he was very nice and patient with me to make sure they understand what items needed moved, so they were able to give the best quote. I had the pleasure of speaking with the Todd (owner) to confirm some things before the moved, he followed up with me day or two before they move to confirm everything was still good for the date and time. If we have anymore moves in the future, we will definitely call American Moving & Storage Company.

Prompt, courteous, efficient. One piece of the bedframe was inadvertently left at the warehouse. American moving promptly found the missing piece and completed assembly. Great move! They listened to my concerns about difficult to move pieces and navigated sharp corners perfectly. Everything was protected and strapped in well, and neither any of my possessions nor either property were damaged in any way.Moved quickly out of a 3rd floor walk-up and they never slowed down, and the final cost was even a little lower than I expected (I dont remember exactly what was originally quoted, but it was below what I had rounded up to).Excellent job, would definitely use again.

American Moving and Storage Solutions in Columbus was the best part of moving my daughter from apartment to apartment. They were on time, the guys were friendly and professional, they were so fast and worked hard the entire time. They also rolled with the punches when things went sideways for us at the new location and we had to store our stuff for a few days, and then they squeezed us in again on a day that wasn’t originally planned for delivery. The owner was responsive, understanding and fair with the pricing. I can’t say enough good things about this moving company. Hire them!

I hired this company to move my apartment just down the street. That being said, I moved most of my boxes ahead of time and there were really only large items and a few large boxes to move. I was unable to be onsite during the move but had someone there to let them in and out. The company did not call me first when they were on their way as they told me ahead of time they would. They relied on my onsite contact for all questions when I told them to call me with any issues or questions.During the move, one of my side table legs came off. They told the onsite contact they would send someone out to fix it. I was never even told about the issue. But was still asked to pay and tip before being notified of any issues. They had my card on file to pay but the onsite moving team seemed to know nothing about the fact they were supposed to use that.After several days of not hearing from the company on the leg issue, I called and they acted like they knew nothing of it. They asked for me to email photos. After a few weeks of back and forth of new formats of photos (because they couldnt open other versions for whatever reason), we hit the one month mark since the move. I emailed with another follow up to say its been a month since my move and I still dont have a resolution on my table leg. Never got a response back weeks later. My roommate also noticed some scratching on her items along with marks on our walls. At this point, I lost any hope they will fix anything. I was excited to use this company because the pricing felt more reasonable, the employees were charismatic on the phone and it seemed like a very easy process. I will not be using them again and I am very disappointed with the outcome.TLDR; They damaged my items, had poor communication, and never fixed the damage. I do not recommend.

They were a great crew to work with. While I had already packed my items, they made quick work of loading and unloading the moving truck. In Illinois, they dropped my belongings off at both a residential address and storage unit.I was extremely pleased with the overall service because all my possessions (including fragile items) made it safely to Illinois and on schedule.

Our daughter was moving from KY to Central OH and Todd and Nick made it so easy. The estimate was very close (I admit my daughter had more boxes/things than she originally said she would), communication was excellent and the guys who moved her were courteous, professional and efficient. Charles, Tommy and another young man arrived at the time that we were given and went to work immediately. Her items had to go into storage for about 10 days, and when I contacted Todd for the re-delivery at the new address, the gentlemen arrived exactly when they said they would and had everything in place within a few hours. Highly recommend this company! We will be using them again in the future.

This company was amazing! I had them move my one bedroom apartment into a storage unit and they were on-time, fast, efficient, friendly and just wonderful overall. It took them about 35 minutes to load and about 20 minutes to unload. I called 2 Men and a Truck initially and they quoted me $950 for the same move. I was floored. But then my sister told me about American Moving and Storage and I called them and they were a third of the price. My movers were named Mike and Todd and I gave them a nice tip because they were so awesome. I love these guys and will use them the next time Im moving. I highly recommend them to everybody.

The process was seamless and straight forward without any hidden fees or surcharges. We purchased a box package from their packaging solutions affiliate, Columbus Box, which was also very helpful. On moving day the crew was polite, professional, and communicated well with us every step of the way to ensure all our needs were met. At our final destination the crew efficiently and seamlessly placed our items in their respective rooms. Heavy furniture was placed/arranged as we wanted without issue. This was my first experience with a moving company and after shopping around, Todd and his team were the best insured crew with great communication for the price. If anything happened during our move Todd assured me items would be replaced or pricing adjusted as needed. I would recommend them to anyone who has local or long distance moving needs!

I used American Moving & Storage for a move about 3 weeks ago. Todd was very prompt with calling to confirm, and he quoted me a price that I was both shocked and impressed by. He gave me a detailed description of what to look for during packing and prepping and what I should expect on the day of the move. He called again to confirm 2 days before. On the day of the move, David, Eric, and Duane showed up about 10 minutes early with a huge truck. I had everything mostly ready to go in boxes, and they quickly were able to take apart the large furniture that needed disassembled. I had clothes and loose items that needed to go as well, and Eric helped me carry it all downstairs and load up in my car, which was a huge help. At my new apartment, they helped me do a once over of the space to check for any issues before bringing in my furniture which helped to have an accurate list to give to the complex. They brought everything in quickly, and reassembled everything that needed put together. They asked me where I wanted everything, which was great that I didnt have to move things to other rooms. They were friendly to talk to as well during the move and very helpful and thorough. At the end, the price matched exactly what I was quoted, and left room in my budget for a good tip for the team. First time hiring movers, and it certainly wont be my last. I will be using American Moving again in the future!

We used American Moving and Storage Solutions for our move yesterday, and I could not be happier with the service I received. Our 3 man crew (Mike, Daniel M, and Tim) arrived about 10 minutes before the scheduled start time (8:30 am) and didn’t stop from that point on (our local move was completed in just over 3 hours). There were a couple components of our move that made it tricky (a piano, switch-back staircases at both homes, etc) but they navigated those challenges with ease. I was a bit skeptical at first because they were nearly half the cost of other moving companies I had priced, but they definitely are deserving of 5 stars. Would recommend, and I plan to use American Moving and Storage Solutions if I move again in the future.
