The Dairy Twist is a West Side Institution! I love it so much. They are cheap, delicious, and they have so many options, both for snacks and ice cream! Also their staff is always super kind and patient, even when I get overwhelmed by choices and cant figure out what I want. 😂

Lets just start off by saying this place is your typical hometown, soft serve, ice cream shop. Its worth the drive, passing other ice cream places to go here. They are very consistent and the ice cream, and food, is delicious.The service is hit or miss. They have an eclectic mix of employees and like any place, some serve better than others. The drive thru can be a little frustrating when its at peak times things typically dont go very quickly. When the line is long, I just go to the window.The facilities itself could use a few updates. Take a week day, do some power washing and paint. Will look much better.

First time eating here since the early 80s, while I dont recall much from back then, I loved the amount of flavors of soft serve offered when we stopped in today.Employees were polite, and even joked with us while we were looking at the menu. Loved the icecream!!! And the prices and size were a relief as we stop for ice cream other places and pay much more.Def going to go back for more!

This is a cash only business, and have every right to be, in my opinion. After sitting in a very long line, we got to the window and ordered about $20.00 worth of stuff. I handed the lady a $50 and was rudely informed that we dont accept anything over a $20. Frustrated, I went to the ATM in front and paid the $3.00 withdrawal fee to get the $20 bill and handed it to tje lady saying if she should at least have a sign that informs people of this...ya cant miss the CASH ONLY sign. At which point she throws my $20 back at me and tells me to leave. Ill never go back. Nasty rude service.

Ok place, closes way to early for a ice cream place, got there one day 30 mins before close, waited in line, then they closed. The old gray hair lady told me I needed to come earlier. This place has good Ive cream but needs updated and definitely needs new owners.

Friendly wait staff, great food, like their burgers and deep fried cauliflower. Can not forget their delicious soft serve ice cream cones! I would tell you my favorite 2 flavors, yet with almost 20+ flavors you are bound to find one that your tastebuds will love! Bonus drive thru to boot!

Love this place!!! Go here every summer with the family and by myself. I always tell anyone who has not already been here that they should check it out. Great soft serve, I think a small cone is $1.75. And a large is $2.25. Very reasonable prices, awesome service & friendly staff. You can go thru the drive - thru or they also have tables out front that you can sit and enjoy youre ice cream and youre company or alone time as well. Highly recommend this place.

I will not be returning to dairy twist again. The employees were not friendly at all. One employee was mad that my family was ordering hot food. She was actually yelling about how rude it is for me to order all that food when they were getting ready to close. It was 8:15 pm and online it said they were open until 9:00 pm but unbeknownst to me they close the grill and deep fryer at 8:30. I spent over $37.00, you would think they would be happy to have the business.

I had to see if it was as good if it was 40 years ago when my girlfriend owned and this dont taste the same okay now Im sitting in the joseppis parking lot but Im not eating so Ill check back with yall

I love this place, the drive-thru is a bit old school 😆 but i love it, i always get a small vanilla cone with sprinkles and it always looks like a large cone from Dairy Queen and they make sure to cover every bit of ice cream with sprinkles... I wouldnt know what to do with a large cone from here lol 😂..

The food is excellent, the ice cream is awesome, theres always a wide variety of just about any flavor that you might want. On the other hand theres always a long line, in the Drive-Thru area. And theres always a long line when it comes to you walking up to get you an ice cream or food. The prices are reasonable especially for the flavored soft serve ice cream, that you can get in many flavors. Customer service is very excellent they try their best to get all of the customers out as quick as possible. Thnx for the great service you provide for the area you are located at.

Stopped by after my nieces soccer game last Saturday and had my favorite vanilla soft serve with Rainbow sprinkles... always a great time

This place is easily accessible from anywhere in the Hilltop. It has great local vibes. And most importantly, the treats are great! They have a ton of Blizzard like options, as well as root beer floats, sundaes, banana splits, strawberry shortcake, slushies, etc. I was very impressed by the selection. Prices are very reasonable and staff was friendly and professional. We would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a cold treat!

I love soft serve ice cream but they also have tons of Flavors of the hand dipped ice cream. They have a BBQ shredded chicken sandwich and I add cheese and coleslaw to make it a very tasty sandwich. The prices are pretty good for what I get but, if you get banana splits, malts and other fancy ice cream combos, prices are on the high side. Its okay though cause you get a good portion of ice cream and the frills. Cant Enjoy alot these Days so I do ENJOY TO EAT AND I BELIEVE THERE IS A BUNCH OF PEOPLE WHO FEEL THE SAME WAY

My family loves their Blizzards and they have so many selections of both ice cream treats and food, we love their affordable prices and the staff is always friendly, they make everything to order and both the ice cream and food is delicious. We tried their walking taco Supreme for the first time on our last visit and it was a hit with the whole family . Will definitely be back again and again.

Quick, cute and the peanut butter brownie ice cream mix (I dont remember what they called it) tasted great. A mild complaint would be the cups are not insulated at all, thin plastic. My ice cream was very melted, quickly. Still good though. 😝🍦

This is a slice of Americana from a time before everything was corporatized and turned to slop. Great drive-in food with reasonable prices. I drove a long way to try and will be back. Not eating this kind of food daily but its clean, well run and nostalgic. Highly recommend.

This used to be the best ice cream shop. It is just okay now but what’s concerning is what I just witnessed. There was an older male standing over a short, much younger female. He was speaking down to her literally and figuratively. I could hear every word he was fussing at her (if she wouldn’t work the weekend she wouldn’t be put on the next schedule). His demeanor was cringe worthy. I hope he learns to do better and show respect to female subordinates.

We arrived 12 minutes before closing. A nice young lady began to take our order. We were getting about $25-30 worth of ice cream. As we were getting ready to pay, another woman came up from behind the girl taking our order and told us no were not doing this, well be here another 15mins with this order. We can make this. Its cones only. We spoke with her and she basically refused to serve us unless it was cones because people do this to them all the time. I will never again patron this ice cream shop! How rude!

Old school flavored soft serve is a must. We can to support a pregnancy craving but now will be making this a regular summer spot! Friendly service and a drive thru!

Dairy Twist is always great. I love their burgers and fries. Today, I had the Elephant Ear ice cream,and it hit the spot!

Craving soft serve, my daughter and I pulled in to Dairy Twist at 8:40pm. We waited in line for 17 minutes. The man at the window said to us, these are your limited options for ice cream and by the way most people know 9 means 9 and we close at 9. He then proceeded to prepare the wrong flavor and closed and locked the window after handing my daughter her ice cream. So much for customer service, or basic courtesy and respect!

Man, I freaking love this place! Theres like 40 flavors of soft serve here! They use a mixer to make different flavors, and they know how to use it. While they dont mix the sprinkles into the ice cream like I think they should, they still do a good job serving the cones and shakes.And a cone of whatever flavor you want is only $2! As a matter of fact, its hot out right now. I think Im gonna go there.

Staff is always fun and friendly and there is always a line and people from all walks hanging out enjoying the delicious treats. Quality has plummeted. Hot dogs are weird gray tubes. Ordered mushrooms, got corn dogs. The brownie supreme sundae (I think?) had chocolate sauce instead of hot fudge and the brownie was a gross little debbie brownie like from a gas station. My ice cream is always starting to drip as they hand it out, like the machine temp is too high. Staff is still very friendly.

Its a quaint little ice cream shop, but its in the middle of the hood. Still, it doesnt hurt to stop there for a nice soft serve cone, of which they have many various flavors. They even have their own version of the blizzard.

I have been going here to dairy twist since I was a kid and the last two years have been a joke . They charge whatever they want refuse to give receipts and pocket the money right in front of you. Then they say machines are down after you’ve paid and refuse to give you your money back. The flavors taste horrible the people working there use drugs in the back and are RUDE to everyone. I use to recommend this place to everyone and now I swear I will make sure no one I know ever wastes their time there again!

I love their ice cream and I think theyre priced fair. The espresso flavor soft serve is amazing!! The only thing I dont like is theyre cash only...its 2018, this is the only place I know that doesnt except debit cards. Hell they couldnt even get one of those square things that plug into phones that you swipe your card through. But other than that, I love dairy twist. Ive never had any problems with them being rude or anything.

Large selection of soft serve. I had a cinnamon spice cup of ice cream. It was delicious. Customer sevice was awesome. Had a good variety of ice cream conconctions. Also had some sandwiches and soft drinks. Would definitely recommend this place.

Oh my heavens is all I have to say. Unfortunately we got there after the kitchen closed but I got the Strawberry shortcake and a Vanilla milkshake, my fiance got a chocolate ice cream cone, and my baby girl got chocolate ice cream in a cup with sprinkles and LOVED IT!!! And oh yes we visit frequently when they are open 😊
