We met with Evan Friend who at the time we were just looking to find a used truck after our trucks transmission went out and was in the shop. Told him no hurry we were debating however he kept looking for one and found one that met every single thing we ask for and more. We even said didnt matter if rust or dents and he found one without either and clean as could be inside. And roomy enough our two large shepherds would be happy in. And a price not one of many car dealerships could come close to who seemed to be hard of hearing when we specified exactly what we wanted and what they tried to push on us. I am so happy we stumbled across him when just looking at trucks he is an awesome salesman but not one at all that was pushy however I received a text that he thought he found a truck we would be interested in and sent link to review it. It looked perfect and it was for us made our mind up quickly that we did indeed want another truck even if we are getting the other one fixed. My husband drove it and my son and law also and my son who is master mechanic he let us have him check it out twice. No codes going off and looked great. gave us a full tank of gas and truck was cleaned perfect. Evan Friend went above and beyond and went out of his way to make us his customers. I tease him about his last name he will forever be our FRIEND.

We just bought a 21.5 VW Atlas from them, and with the current chip shortage, they have the biggest inventory on the east coast. Very exceptional. You do have to book an appointment before you arrive, but that shouldnt take long. Connor OLeary was my salesman. Connor is great.

Conor was SO easy to work with. Came in for a used car that was on the newer side, and he did a lot of ground work for me when my first choice wasnt quite what I was looking for. Knows his stuff, not pushy at all, and focused on what made me happy. 10/10 will be going to him for my next car. Financing was absolutely stellar and he beat what I had to offer with a solid bank.

Our salesman was Kevin Stamper. From the moment we met him, he was genuine, honest, and helpful not to mention funny. He was very knowledgeable about the cars and was quickly able to help us find the right car for myself and my service dog. I needed something lower to the ground for her but also with adequate space for my very tall husband. Kevin helped me pick out the perfect car and helped my husband and I get the right monthly price for us. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a car.The other staff were great as well. The finance manager was really nice and he didnt try to push any extra sales on us. He helped us decide what extra protection we needed and would be valuable for us.Everyone was very helpful and friendly. This is the first time Ive had such a good experience at a dealership. I will definitely be coming back to see Kevin for my next car.

Everything leading up to the driving was great. After sitting and talking about pricing the sales rep said thats all you brought. After hearing his remark I felt uncomfortable and decided to not make business with this dealer. Not only the sales rep but the manager also angrily explained how they do business. Cant do business with a dealer that humiliates you about your budget..

Purchased brand new Jetta from this dealership with two complimentary service. at the time of service the y flat out refused to service the car and told me if i want it then i need to pay for those complimentary ones. furiously went to Byers VW and told them about this bad experience not only they provided me with free complimentary service one same day, they treated me respectfully. since then have been going to VW Byers only.

I purchased a 21 Tiguan from Germain early February. I wasnt out in the lot for more than 5 minutes before Shawn came out to check and see if I needed help- Mind you, in the snow. He was very professional, kind, and super helpful. When I decided to purchase the vehicle, Shawn did absolutely everything to make this perfect for me. The process was simple, transparent, and he followed through even after the purchase was complete. Along with Shawn, his Supervisor and Derek from Finance were awesome as well! Recently bought a Golf R from Germain VW, with it being a harder to find car I had it shipped across the country. The remote buying process was pretty seamless and their representatives were good to work with. With COVID it was very difficult to find a carrier so it took longer to get my car than I was expecting. Amazing. Honestly. The loaner vehicle its self was worth more than what I paid for my service. Plus the master mechanics. Plus the equipment they have to fix my VW. Plus the amazing customer service. Available via text and email and phone. And a 10,000 mile warranty on the service performed. I pulled off and a check engine light came on. I turned around they gave me back the loaner and covered what needed done. The best service I have ever rexoerienced with ANY mechanic in my entire female life.

First visit at this dealership, my wife was going out of town, I wanted to make sure that we had our 10,000 mile service as well as tire rotations done before she left. They did not have any appointments available so I was informed that I could bring my vehicle in and drop it off and they would fit me in. They completed the required services and rotated the tires, kept me informed and did not try to upsell things that were not needed. I had been to another dealership in Columbus for service(two recalls) and felt like I was being nickled and dimed to pay for extra things. Decided to switch to Germain VW and it was the complete opposite experience. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly and I felt Joe was really genuine and gained all the needed information to fix my car! AND it was covered under the warranty! Steven Graham and the staff at Germain VM of Columbus made my car buying experience wonderful! Steven and Gary (in finance) took their time to find me the best rate/payment options never once did I feel pressured to buy. Steven is a man of his word did not steer me in any wrong directions for the sake of making a sale. Gary was very personable and answered every question I had about financing. Great experience leasing our new 2021 VW Atlas! Worked with Nikita (salesperson) and Ben (sales manager) to get the deal done.Nikita went above and beyond to meet our needs! He provided great communication and even drove a similar Atlas to our home to test drive! After we made our decision, he drove our new car to our home for the actual purchase, brought all necessary paperwork to sign, explained/demonstrated to my wife the features of the car, then drove our trade in back to the dealership! Ben and Nikita even had to execute an out of state dealer trade to get the exact atlas color and trim level my wife wanted! Great customer service all around!

I recently used Germain Volkswagen to service my Routan. I am not really informed about cars and I was super nervous about the impending work needed done on my car. I had the pleasure of working with Lewis. From the start to finish he was extremely patient and understanding. He made sure to to take the time to explain what they were doing every step of the way. Amazing service!! I have been going to Germain Volkswagen service center since I moved to Columbus, and I do not plan on going anywhere else! Recently, my car died and needed to be towed to their service center. When I arrived, Joe, from the service department was able to get my information and details about what happened. He was very upfront about any charges (since somethings would and would not be covered by warranty). I didn’t have an appointment, and Joe said they had a full day scheduled, but would try to squeeze me in. Within an hour I got an update that they figured out the problem, and was sent an updated quote for me to approve. By the afternoon, my car was finished. I even asked if they could add the 40,000 mile service while it was there! I cannot say thank you enough for all their help!

Went in for an oil change and they told me I had a headlight out, which I knew. Called me to tell me it would be $750 to replace it. Think about that, $750 to replace a Jetta headlight. A single headlight. These guys work on commission. Absolute scam artists, the entire place. I would not recommend ever going here, even to look at vehicles. I’ve made my mistakes, now I only hope another consumer doesn’t either.

I had possibly one of the most amazing experiences with Ben & Ron at Germain, last week!I had been trying to get my hands on a 2020 Tiguan SE R-Line Black, for about a month. MAG in Dublin was extremely hard to work with, fairly unresponsive...it was a frustrating process to say the least.When I saw that Germain VW had exactly what I wanted, I reached out to find out the price. Within an hour, we had a deal agreed upon, and I was on my way to the dealership to sign the paperwork for my brand new car.With COVID going on, I had no one to watch my toddler - so we had to take her with us. The sales person next to ours, Adam, was incredibly kind and gave my daughter a new Car Fox stuff toy to play with, while we were working on the paperwork - i mention this because she wasnt fussing, she wasnt upset....but he went out of his way to give her something & make her happy.The entire experience was AMAZING....and I can truly say that i hate buying cars - this experience has changed my outlook on car dealerships! What a fantastic group!!! I wouldnt hesitate to go back or send every single one of my friends to Germain VW!!!

I went to shop around, i met a very nice lady the cleaning lady she gave me a warm welcome, that was very nice of her. but then a gentleman appeared and asked me how can he help while am at the door, i told him am here interested in Atlas models, to be honest he didnt have any idea what are the deals that goin on, i told him i looked at the website before i came and this and that what i saw, he nodded and says ok. he wasnt interested in answering my questions, he didnt even offer me a seat, i guess he judged me on my looks and made up his mind. he kept on turning his head and thats when i decided to leave. i dont know i kinda got impression they sell cars to certain people. really disappointed with their customer service.

I am leaving a 1 star review only because I cant leave a 0. Being 3 1/2 hours away from this dealership, I corresponded with Aaron Odonnell regarding a preowned truck they had for sale. We went back and forth via 12 emails with details of the sale, purchase price etc. I finished the correspondence with a personal phone call to Aaron confirming the purchase price and making arrangement to drive the 3 1/2 hours there to pick up the truck the next day. Halfway there the next morning Aaron calls me to tell me the truck was in a different location and was now priced $2000 higher!!!! I had to turn around and return home. He claimed he didnt know about this! Yesterday I emailed him back and forth, he verified to me that the truck was on the lot. It was all a sham!! The bait and switch tactic he used was unbelievable in this day. Customers BEWARE!! Dont buy here!!

This VW dealer does not do VW car inspection. Sounds like a joke? They are definitely capable of providing the service but perhaps it’s not profitable, they are unwilling to do it. They were kind enough to tell me a shop and number where my car could get inspected. Unfortunately, that information is incorrect. When I told them this mistake they didn’t care what I said. The VIN inspection is a very simple service and does not require any diagnostic tools. I had to go to a Chevrolet dealer instead. Sounds like another joke? Overall it was a waste of time at this VW dealer.

The folks at Hatfield Volkswagen are fantastic!! They took great care of me after a very horrible trip to a different dealership. Their pricing is very fair and the staff is second to none. My sales guy was Seth and he is very personable and helpful! He took the time to listen to my needs and wants and discussed options with me. The rest of the staff was very nice as well, seeing as I kept them all there till 9:30 on a Saturday. They all still had smiles on their faces and even laughed at my lame jokes. I would recommend that if you are in the market for a new Volkswagen (and why wouldnt you be, these cars are awesome!) or a used car, make Hatfield your first and only stop!

My boyfriend and I were driving back home from visiting friends in Cleveland. Right when we got just outside of downtown Columbus the glowplug light in my Jetta came on and started flashing while I was on the interstate Monday afternoon, and my engine light was on as well.. We still had 6-7 hours left to go, and I felt super uncomfortable driving my car the rest of the way home since the second I noticed that light flashing there was a noticeable change in how my car was functioning, so we manage to find Germain VW! They were super understanding, and were nice enough get my car in last minute with no appointment to at least get diagnostics done to figure out what was wrong. Lewis was the service advisor for my car and he was great! Monday night he was even there almost 2 hours past his shift, but still made time to call me before he left to talk to me about getting my car fixed. I asked about a loaner car at that point, or a rental, if they offer that and he was able to find a loaner car for me to pick up the next morning so we could get around Columbus for the couple days that we waited for parts and repair on my car. Everybody we encountered was great and we had no issues. We’re from STL, but if we ever find ourselves needing service in the Columbus area for my Jetta, we will be visiting Germain again! Thank you for making an unexpected, slightly stressful situation better.

Very poor experience, I came to test drive a vehicle and after waiting 10 minutes at the front desk I was finally helped. I was told that the group before me was still test driving, so I waited about 15 minutes and then left. The staff was not very friendly and I felt the experience was pretty unprofessional.

Traded in my van and needed something affordable that was big enough to fit my 3 kids in. After looking around for a while we decided to look at leasing options. Not long after Ron and the GM Glenn were able to work out an affordable way for us to get in to the new Atlas. It has been great and we feel so much better with a reliable vehicle that we dont need to worry about any of the maintnance and upkeep.

My most recent experience was due to some major warranty work. While I missed my car, the service department made it as painless as possible. They were very accommodating and helpful with, what is typically a miserable experience. No one wants to deal with car problems. Joe (my service manager) made the process as easy as possible. Nate (the master technician that took car of my car) was, for lack of a better word, awesome. He is the only person that I’ve had handle my cars for the last decade. I’m sure there are others capable techs here, but when you have someone you trust, why change it up? My experience with this dealership for over a decade has been a great one. If you’re looking to buy a VW, talk to Adam. He is the one who got us into our Golf R. He is very knowledgeable, to the point I would say he is an enthusiast. Few things annoy me more than people trying to sell me things they know nothing about. Fortunately, that is not the case with Adam.

It was great. I was surprised to learn that Germain had taken over the dealership. I was a Hatfield fan. It was good to see many of the same employees from the old regime. Service was fast and friendly. They took care of most of my needs without asking. Fantastic experience.

I just needed an oil change and tire rotation, but even that can be a nightmare. Everyone was very nice at Germain VW, courteous and helpful, there was no waiting at the appointment time and the whole procedure took less than 1 hour. The chairs and tables in the waiting area were appropriately spaced, cleaning spray was available on every table- it was altogether a pleasant experience.

Very clean, very nice staff. I feel there are a lot of people sitting doing nothing. We waited for 5 hours for the purchase of my vehicle. I dont think I am extremely happy with either experience I have had because I was screwed over from the start but they did what they could to help

I bought a used 2011 VW Jetta but it had an open recall and the brake light was coming on. Germain VW did a through inspection and fixed the recall and the back brakes that were beyond done and gone. The service was fast even with parts on backorder. I was treated like they wanted me back and so they will.

I purchased a used VW GTI lease return last weekend and I was not happy with the process at all. First found the car online and made an appointment to test drive. So far so good. Drive the car and decided to buy the car. From the time I stated I wanted to purchase the car till all the financing and paper was done it was over 5 hours later. We were told that there were five people ahead of us for financing, but we were hungry so they let us take the car to get something to eat (which was nice) and was told we should be able to get right in when we get back. Well that didnt happen it was another couple of hours after we returned did we get in. We were not taking the vehicle that day due to it had not been through detail yet and some other things needed fixed. I return on Tuesday, giving them 2 full business days to detail and fix the noted concerns, when I arrived after work I was disappointed to find the minor dents and surface paint scratches were not touched, then I got inside the car and found it was never detailed on the inside. It had spilled drinks on the seat and dirt throughout. It wasnt even vacuumed. So I left the car there for them to fix it. I return the next day to find the only thing that was fixed were the specific things I showed the salesman. The car was never fully detailed on the inside. Upset and tired from a long day at work I just took the vehicle to fix it myself. So I started cleaning the interior this weekend and it was worse than I thought. They put very little effort into detailing this car. I found more drinks spills, dirty windows, sticky surfaces and so on. I dont feel the salesman took my time seriously. My time was obviously not valuable to him and I dont believe I will ever go back due to this. I figured the cleaning of the car would be the least of my concerns. I was wrong.

I went in to look at getting a used car for my daily driver and I am highly satisfied with the experience I had. The staff reached out to me quickly to help set up a time to test drive the vehicle I wanted. Justin was very helpful in getting me a deal that was right for me and very knowledgeable about the car buying process and answered any questions I had. All around it was a great experience.

This place is a great place to buy from. My wife bought a used car there and from start to finish we felt like we where family. Justin was our salesman and he was the best I’ve ever dealt with. When we got the keys to our new car the heat wasn’t working properly. Justin took the car back to get looked at and gave us a car to drive in the meantime. They called and said it was fix so we picked it up. The next day it quit working again so we called up there and they wanted the car back to look at it again. They gave my wife a car to drive for the day and told my wife they were going to replace both parts that control the fan. When the car was fixed they called my wife to tell her it was done. Justin took the car to my wife’s work and dropped it off and picked the courtesy car up. That right there is about the best service you could get from a car lot. Thank you guys for the perfect customer service. I will be a returning customer.

Had a great experience here, particularly with Justin! I inquired online about a CPO Tiguan, Justin contacted me promptly, ran all the numbers for me, and walked me through several different scenarios for my lease trade-in. I drove from several hours away to make the final purchase, and he had everything all ready to go for me upon arrival, including the car itself and all the paperwork. They made the experience quite easy. I had already determined the model I wanted, and had driven another trim line elsewhere. They had the model and color I wanted, quoted me a good price and trade for my truck, and had it waiting when I arrived. After an hour or so of paperwork and professional cornhole(!) on ESPN, I drove out with my new car.
