I didn’t expect to spend $1100 bucks but after viewing the laundry list of items that were needed to be done and half of the items I knew needed to be fixed I allowed for all to be done.I received your survey today so to complete it properly I checked under the hood of my car and the new battery nice 👍 the squeaky rear brakes and rotors nice 👍 but one issue I noticed was the whole cooling system process that cost $125 I’m not so sure was done because there wasn’t any coolant solution in the coolant tank?No worries I took care of the issue so I want a refund…

I’ve been a customer of the Downtown Grismer location for over a decade and always get top notch car service and customer service. Prices are fair. Issue diagnosis is high quality. And these folks have never tried to rip us off through unnecessary upsells like a lot of chain oil change places do. Trustworthy and knowledgeable and timely and professional. A+ all around.Bonus: the GIANT PLANT in their lobby is fun to check in on. 😅

My oil light came on today as I was going down 4th street just seconds before spotting this place on my right. My 15 year old Honda accord light has only come on one time before and it was dangerously low. I was thrilled to see an auto service in front of me. Sadly they didn’t have time for an oil change but he told me to pull it in he checked it and filled it up with oil at NO CHARGE. Saved my car and my day! Thank you guys again!

Had a grinding break pad and had never been here before, but they were close to home. William was on it from jump! They quickly figured out I needed a bit more work, were honest and patient with me understanding, and thorough on answering questions. William even stayed late to ensure I could pickup same day.Love this place, would definitely recommend.

I bought a 2011 Subaru Forester with 173k miles on it. Grismer downtown checked out everything underneath for rust and issues. It needed all new front brakes/calipers, rotation/balance, replacement of a wheel stud, and a serious alignment. I drove it a decent amount yesterday and it seems fine now. I just considered that part of the cost of the vehicle.The price was as expected. Of course, it’s cheaper to do it yourself or find a shady mechanic but I’m teaching 3 kids to drive in this and I wanted it done correctly and with a warranty. It was fair and no pushy up-charges or anything like that.I would recommend Grismer but I will say that I’ve only visited the Downtown location.

I came in on a Saturday about 12:30pm with a flat tire that needed to be replaced. I had already put the spare which was a new tire on the car so Grismer needed to mount and balance a new tire on the rim I had already taken off. I wanted them to take the worn front tire off and mount the new tire on the front so I had two new tires on the front. They did this and stayed past their 2pm closing time to complete the work. William the service manager was extremely helpful and a pleasure to work. Grismer is not the cheapest but their overall service makes them a value. They extended themselves in my behalf and I appreciate it!

I love Grismer. They have serviced my “hot Rod” (2013 Chevy Cruze) several times. They get me in quickly, are so professional and kind, do great work and explain everything to me in such a great way (for a person who knows .937% about cars. I highly recommend them to anyone!!!

Was traveling to Columbus for a wedding when we experienced tire damage. Managed to get the car to Grismer’s. They couldn’t have been nicer in spite of the fact that they were very busy. Within 2 hours they had picked up a tire for us and gotten us back on the road. Exceptional service!

As you might expect from such a central location, the lot can be a bit awkward when it fills up— but that makes sense, given the quality honest work they appear to be pumping out. After a blowout, they had a couple of run-flat tires ordered & replaced for me (on a holiday weekend) in under a week! Price was almost exactly what I expected, and more than fair considering the communication and convenience.

When I first moved to Columbus 10 years ago and needed my car repaired, Grismer’s was highly recommended by my neighbors. I have since trusted them for all my car repair needs and have found them to be honest and reasonably priced. I am grateful for Grismer Tire & Auto Service. I was referred to them when E.T. Paul Tire Co. closed. Grismer has provided the service and professionalism I hoped I would find. Power steering went out. Dropped it off in the morning and had it back by the afternoon. Vehicle rides great. Justin was super nice and got everything taken care of. Ill be going back for anything else I might need. Couldnt ask for better service.

My car has unusually sized tires. When I needed replacements, I called Grismer because it is close to my workplace and the price of the tires was comparable. I scheduled the appointment online and my tires arrived in a couple of days. The manager, Rick, confirmed their arrival and my appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, I was notified that the store was unexpectedly understaffed. The associate, William, assured me that my car would be fully serviced, including some additional repairs I was already aware were needed but hadnt considered completing that day under the circumstances. William somehow acquired an additional mechanic and in a couple of hours, I was happily on my way! They were all so nice, informative (without pressuring)and determined that I would get back on the road quickly but SAFELY and for a very reasonable price, with a few free oil changes to boot! Thanks Grismer! Great job!!!

I can’t thank Grismer enough for their help. My parents drove 8 hours to visit me for the weekend, and just outside of Columbus developed major car trouble. An honest and fairly priced auto shop. My needed new brakes installed on her car, and were greeted promptly at the time we arrived. The father & son explained everything, and told us the price before they got started and that price didnt change. Very honest work from them, The wait time for the vehicle wasnt long at all.

I wanted to wait a couple months before leaving a review, but this place knocked it out of the park. Had some serious brake failure and they fixed it up perfect and were super nice when I came in to pick up. It was my first place being here, but I had several people recommend Grismer and I wasn’t disappointed.

I have been going to this location for YEARS. Rick and his team are absolutely fantastic. As a woman who doesnt know a lot about cars a little nerve racking taking your car somewhere for them to tell you thinks are wrong when in fact they arent. Grismere has always been fair and honest and has never tried to sell me something unnecessary. They provide professional, fast and honest service!!!

Initial quote for brakes was $75 less than the total. I dropped my truck off at 11am, and didn’t get it back until 6pm. Why bother making an appointment if they don’t start work until 3 hours later? Overall, average experience. Work was well done.

Grismer’s downtown location can be summarized by the following: easy, fair, excellent work, and no pressure. They’ve completed work in a timely manner. They’ve pointed out items that need addressed—but haven’t pressured me to buy anything. Prices are more than reasonable. They’re also friendly and don’t laugh at my stupid auto questions. (Hey, I’m learning!)

Just called up asking for an opinion on my car. The person that answered was not helpful at all and didn’t even attempt to understand what I was trying to explain. I told him I would call somewhere else and he laughed and hung up on me.

The E Main Street business was one of the early businesses to set high Covid standards. The folks are polite, thorough, knowledgeable, timely and professional.I have had work completed twice and will use them again, if needed.

The shop was fairly busy and it was a holiday.They found time to do my alignment and oil change. Very professional, shop was organized and clean, social distancing precautions in place. Alignment spot on, drives great. Definitely will go back for more service. Glad I tried them out!

Know when i say this that I prefer to work on my own car and do not trust mechanics overall to have my best interest at heart BUT.. Ive used Grismer for multiple services, new tires, tire repair, and most recently I had some front end steering damage after an icy accident. They were super understanding in my situation, very clear about charges and issues, and they had it fixed in one whole business day. I arrived about twenty minutes before my scheduled appointment and was able to get my service started early. I waited on the car and used the complimentary WiFi. The work was done within the estimated amount of time and the employee who helped me was very polite and professional.

I have taken 2 separate cars here and both experiences were great. They were able to replace a set of tires quickly and on short notice plus gave free 4 oils changes for the car. My other car had some braking issues and they inspected the replacement parts and saw one did not appear in the best condition. Justin made several calls to auto shops and body shops to find a replacement at a great price to help me out. Furthermore, he was able to squeeze my car in last minute. I would highly recommend them as they are affordable, honest, and put the extra effort into helping their customers.

I had a chip in the sidewall of my tire. Took it to grismer because I wasnt sure if it was dangerous or if I could keep driving on it. The mechanic said it was fine, just to keep an eye on it. They were really nice and helpful. Ill definitely be going back to them when my tire actually needs to be replaced!

Phenomenal Service. As a young adult in the Columbus area I have been fearful of getting ripped off when it comes to car repairs. Grismer is professional, affordable and straight shooters. I had a slow leak and nail in my tire and the total cost was 30$. I spent 1/5 of the cost in comparison to my last flat that I had repaired at NTB. They have my business time and time again.

Called me within an hour said couldn’t be repaired and tire I wanted to match had to be ordered and wouldn’t be in until Monday. Was totally fine with that. Got a call a few hours later said they were able to get it in early and by 2PM drove of all fixed up (under-promise, over-deliver). Justin was awesome, excellent customer service. 5 stars.

Were upfront and honest about timing and pricing. When they found a solution that was cheaper than what we had originally given them permission to do, they called us and let us know. It ended up being hundreds of dollars cheaper and hours faster than the original estimate. We have been taking our vehicles to Grismer for years.
