On 07/08/2021 I called Tuffy Tire & Auto Service to inquire about getting my door latched repaired since almost every other mechanic was 2 weeks out for an appointment. I was informed there was an open appointment slot for 07/09/2021 at 8:00 AM, so agreed to that date and time.On 07/09/2021 I dropped my car off at 8 AM and then I received a phone call from Tuffy at 10:13 AM about the door latch system would need to be replaced and part wouldnt be there until Monday the 12th. Keith then told me I could store my car at Tuffy over the weekend for secure storage since the door would not close or lock. I called Tuffy back at 11:13 AM to ensure that my car would be stored in the garage and not in the lot. Keith said We would never store a car over the weekend in the lot, we take care of our customers.On 07/12/2021 I received a phone call from Tuffy at 5:01 PM that my car was ready but they were closing and that I could pick my car up in the morning on 07/13/2021.On 07/13/2021 I arrived at Tuffy at 10:00 AM and was not informed of the damage done to my car until after Keith had me pay for the door latch service and given the keys. Keith then asked if I had a giant scratch on the driver door, I replied absolutely not. Keith proceeded to walk me out to my car to show the damage. Keith said There is nothing I can do, so Im going to have you call Tuffy Corporate and handed me the number to corporate.I called corporate three times and left three voicemails and was informed by Tuffy Corporate that the W. 5th Ave location is a franchised location and that corporate could not make the owner do anything in regards to the damage done to my car at his facility. Shortly after this call I was contacted by the W. 5th Ave Tuffy owner, Carl.Carl expressed his apologies and vehemently denied that the damage was done by any of his employees or in his garage. He said he would refund the cost of the door latch service, which I thought was an extremely nice gesture, but would not cover the cost of the damages done to the driver door. Carl informed me that even if a car is in W. 5th Ave Tuffy’s care and custody and it’s parked in their lot, they are not responsible for any damages done to the car.I asked Carl if there was anything he would be willing to do to cover the cost of the damages, he said to give him a few days and he would get an estimate from a body shop that he works with. I received a call almost a week later and Carl had an estimate for $1800 to repair my car door. Mind you that my driver mirror is damaged as well from this situation. I was informed that if I went to this specific body shop that he would cover $700 and I would be left with the remaining $1100 in repair costs.I expressed my frustration that this damage was done to my car on W. 5th Ave Tuffy’s property and they should be held accountable for the repairs. Carl denied that Tuffy would be responsible for the damages and that he was trying to help me in this situation. I then informed him that if Tuffy would not cover the entire costs I would file a complaint with the BBB as well as the Ohio Attorney General’s office, which I have done. After informing Carl of my future actions, the rest of the phone call was unpleasant as he became hostile. I have multiple witnesses to back this claim.Since all of this I have gotten three separate estimates for repairs to my car door and car mirror averaging $2100. All in all, I would have been very understanding if this was a simple mistake made by a W. 5th Ave Tuffy employee and that management would own up to it but that is not the case. I will never use Tuffy’s services again, will never suggest anyone go there, and hopefully others will think twice before using their services.

Great service and friendly staff. Highly recommend!! Keith had me in and out of there in about 15 minutes for my tire rotation. Will definitely go back in the future!

I went to Tuffys to have my alternator replaced on 12/29/2020. The quote price was very reasonable, and my car was in and out within three hours. Weve found this Tuffy to be really good. Repairs and maintenance are done well and on time. Keith, the manager, is knowledgeable and very nice. They let you know in advance whether additional repairs are needed and provide good advice about whether you could wait on repairs. We regularly take our vehicles here.

Have been coming to this Tuffy for years now. They have always done an amazing job, very reasonably charged, and I have never felt swindled into something I dont need. Keith offers great customer service and I would go have my car repaired anywhere he is working.

Stopped to get a tire plugged so that I could return home in the southern part of Ohio and was told that they could set up an appointment for the following Monday. What ever happened to customer service.

Extremely friendly staff, quick and thorough oil change service, very clean establishment. I could tell these guys knew what they were doing and they didnt try to nickle-and-dime me like the guys at Valvoline. I appreciate this place a lot

I brought my car here for what should have been an inexpensive and easy fix. The cost estimate was astronomical and was not adding up, so I declined additional services after they ran diagnostics. I called Ford to check the prices that Tuffys was going to charge me and they were charging me exactly double for the parts. I did not need two of each part as there is only one negative sensor for a car battery. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND BEWARE! They will try to rip you off. Extremely disappointed and will be warning others. I found a local mechanic to do this for a third of what Tuffys was going to charge me.

I cant write enough good things about Tuffy Grandview. Everyone who works here has been so kind to me every time I visit, whether its for an oil change or engine issues. Their prices are more than fair, and their communication is excellent. They let me know the approximate cost, updated me with phone calls while the maintenance was being done, and provided me with clear options at different price points. They were also honest, and not condescending. As a woman I feel incredibly comfortable coming here knowing I wont be talked down to or swindled. Thanks for everything Tuffy!

Carl, Keith, and the rest of the Tuffy team are by far the most professional, positive, talented, and flexible guys in the area. Ive been going to them at the Grandview location for all my auto needs for the past 4 years. Theyre upfront, honest, hard workers, and wont add things/BS you for stuff you dont need like some other companies. Theyre are no words that can describe the level of care and detail they put into their work. They made the entire Auto Service process more comfortable and in an expectant professional environment. Tuffy Grandview is extremely talented and produces unrivaled work and is overall a great place, almost like a family over all these years. I would highly recommend going to them or Carls other Tuffy locations, 5/5.

I’ve been here twice. Both times I’ve received wonderful customer service. They were up front about costs to fix my car when I had issues with one of my belts and called me multiple times throughout the process. I just visited again today on a busy Saturday afternoon because I was having problems with my windshield wipers. They were very busy, but the manager Keith I believe (I’m so sorry if I’m wrong) still took the time to just quickly check it out and tried fixing it. They’re also very reasonably priced! I highly recommend them!

Keith and GP got me in on one days notice, replaced door handle, front brakes and rotors and fixed an oil leak and got my car back to me in one day. They even called to tell me the price would be LOWER than they quoted. I would highly recommend Tuffy at this location.

Was charged for new parts when they put in junky used parts. Had to go to another repair shop within the following couple of weeks because of the used parts that were put in from this place.

The manager Keith is honest and personable. He always makes sure people are well taken care of. Good prices for tires and oil changes. Be sure to hold on to the coupons they give you.

Keith and staff are reputable and honest. I consistently get quotes from dealerships and compare them with Tuffy and I usually end up saving a decent dollar amount. Keith and the team have serviced my Chevy from oil changes, new tires, intake issues, and idling problems. Each time, I received the car back the issues were resolved. This place can give you piece of mind for service and price.

Very friendly and let me know what was wrong without talking down to me, like Ive had in other auto shops. They referred me to a transmission place and sent me on my way without charging me an astronomical fee. Very pleased!

Excellent customer service! Came in there with a flat and unfortunately they didnt have the right size. They called around to 5+ different places until they found one that was open, within a reasonable distance, and had my tire. They extra inflated my tire to help me make the journey and didnt charge me for coming in! It was a long day and I really appreciated it. Definitely will be going back in the future!

I highly recommend Tuffy on 5th Ave in Grandview. I discovered their location several years ago and all service work (brakes, suspension, fluids, etc...) has been great, never an issue. I was able to have an appointment right away for new brake pads and rotors. Keith explained the issue to me and even took the time to speak separately to my family to talk through options. The issue was taken care of in just a few hours and now seems to be completely solved. Very pleased.

I have to travel for work a lot and I came home from the airport to a flat. Keith and the Tuffy team were able to see me very quickly and for a reasonable price. Excellent customer service. The place has wifi, coffee, water and snacks with comfortable couches in the waiting area. I came in with a flat tire but it was a special type of tire (run flat) which they couldnt repair. They called around to different shops to try to find one that could and topped off the rest of my tires all without charge. Went above and beyond even when I wasnt revising them any business.

I normally dont leave reviews but had such an AWESOME experience today with Tuffy and Carl! Called around 10:30am to see if they could fit my in for a tire repair from a nail. Dropped my car off 15 minutes later and got a call less then two hours later that it was ready. Also learned that the nail didnt even puncture my tire (of course). Upon pick up, there was no charge AND they even put air in them. Was beyond stressed about getting that fixed before the end of the work day and Carl made the experience seamless. Highly recommend them!

I just had my truck in last week for a 70,000 mile spark plug engine coil etc. got car back and something was wrong. Called Tuffy Tuesday am after was told couldn’t get me in at place that just had my truck and got it back by 2pm thst day even with other cars on the shop. No diagnostic fee no scamming for unneeded parts professional prompt and good communication. Highly recommend. Thank you Tuffy

Keith, the manager, doubled the price for a right headlight bulb replacement ($36.50) refusing to honor the price he charged for the left one ($18) only a couple months prior. He said the reason is that the wheels have to come off. He forgot the wheels were already coming off because I was getting a tire rotation. When asked about that he said I already gave you the price. I informed him that I would take my business somewhere else if he doesnt do the right thing, he said go ahead.The same exact service doubled in price in a matter of months. This was not a company-wide price change, it was a change that the manager made on the spot for whatever reason. In the last year, I spent hundreds of dollars servicing two cars at that location. Its a strange business decision to miss out future revenue by consciously overcharging a simple cheap service by $18.50.Until then the service had been OK, professional and fairly friendly. Competitors are dime a dozen, one of them will be getting my business next time.

I dont normally post reviews, but this visit warrants one. I was in from out of town when I ran over a curb/storm drain. My tire was knocked off the wheel. I was freaking out, but managed to change it out and drive to Tuffy. Keith took a quick look at it and suggested the replacement. I think I was only there for 30-40 minutes before I was on my way again. Thank you!!

Keith and Carl are genuine and honest guys who know how to properly run an automotive shop. I find it hard to come across a trustworthy establishment that isnt constantly trying to overcharge you. If you are looking for a place you can depend on where you will always be treated right, look no further.

Went in for a flat tire. Decided to get an oil change as well. I was out in 45 minutes. Oil change was more expensive than doing it yourself, but its 8 degrees in January. Well worth it.

Normally you have to take a foreign car (Mercedes in this case) to a special place to fix problems but Tuffys said they would take a look at it and see what they could do. I dropped it off Friday after work and got a call about 10am Sat morning saying they had figured out the issue and it would be ready to be picked up anytime after 1 pm. They were reasonably priced and my car has had no problem since they fixed the issue which was an engine cylinder misfiring. I may add that I had my car looked at twice by other Mercedes shops who couldnt diagnose the problem.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! My pristine 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee received 1,800 dollars in damage to the body while at this facility. When I brought the damage to the store managers attention the first thing out of his mouth was You cant prove we did the damage. I have filed a police report for criminal damaging to my vehicle. I spoke with the owner he is refusing to refund my money from the services and also refusing to reimburse me for the damage to my vehicle that was done at their repair facility. I will be suing in Civil Court and continue to work with Franklin County Economic Crime Unit to pursue criminal charges. No I would not recommend this facility.

Stopped in at 3pm, with a tire going flat from a screw, just needed a patch, guy said he was too busy to bother with a patch. (Mind you he was sitting in the office when I walked in and they close at 4, he was too lazy not too busy). Went down to AAA care care on 3rd Ave at 3:15 and the place was hopping, guy there, said sure I can fit you in. They also close at 4. AAA wants your business, Tuffy does not.

They did not honor our Amazon local promotional voucher for a One-Year Auto Maintenance Service Plan. We serviced it once, but they did not honor the second oil change because they said it wasnt activated even though they found me in the system.Do not go here.
