Fast,friendly service, a rarity.Thanks for helping me get my stuff in a few keys made

If I could give no Stars I would. Ordered a simple screen door weeks ago. Was supposed to be here every Wednesday since then. So far no door. No phone call to say it didnt come in. Ace isnt around the corner like the big places. You have to travel to get there. I had to call so far to see if it had come in. Both people on the phone could only tell me that they didnt know. No follow up to see when it was coming. Its easier to say it will be here next Wednesday. I dont particularly like going to the bigger places but at least they can tell you what they have or when it will be there. Save your money and go to the big stores. Some small businesses need to ramp up their business etiquette to deserve local patronage.

Great locally/family owned hardware store. Claude (owner) Paul (manager) good genuine people who care about their customers. Not the biggest store ever but has everything you need. I would highly recommend shopping here over some of the other guys like lowes and home depot

The young clerk was so helpful. I was hoping to find license plate bolts, and he tried three on the car, unsuccessfully, but still a kind service. I found the bubble wrap I needed at a good price. The store is clean and well organized with plenty of help.

Never go back. I bought some hardware. Bolts.I bought wrong size. And the old man would not exchange them for the ones i needed.Next time Ill just go to Lowes.Lesson learned..

Rather go to ace than lowes any day. All ways have what I need. Someone always meets me at the door ready and willing to assist. At lowes the workers run from you when they see you coming

Amazing how much they can fit in such a small space

Bought a new Traeger grill yesterday from Ace, aka The Helpful Place. Paid over the phone and it was assembled and delivered for free! The bearded Gent that delivered it was especially knowledgeable regarding pellet flavoring.

Waiting on a resolution on a faulty stihl chainsaw (a definite lemon). Will update soon.Update: Saw was exchanged reven though stihl would do nothing. A+ for customer service

My new favorite hardware. They are very helpful and have a great inventory at very good prices. They are so much better than the big box stores.

Very poor customer service experience here. I rarely leave negative reviews but after I purchased an online order I was told they were out of stock and would personally have to cancel the order by calling the corporate number after my credit card had already been charged. The manager would not speak to me and/or could not be reached. At every level the message was that they were not responsible.

Popped by this store a few weeks ago in search of a lock - the staff was super helpful. Got assistance quickly and found just want I needed. I love supporting local businesses like these! You should definitely stop by, they are most helpful.

A wonderfully wide array of products and great selection for such a small location. The staff is friendly and helpful. I find what I am looking for quickly every time. This is the only hardware store on this side of the river that is close to downtown Columbia, and I choose to use it quite often.

Always have what I need. Serge came outside and changed the screws on my license plate. He was very respectable and did it quickly, something you won’t find at Lowe’s

The staff is always very helpful and polite! They usually have what I need, but if they don’t, they help me find a way to get it quickly. They assembled and delivered a new grill for us perfectly! I highly bc recommenced ACE on N Beltline!

This is my local hardware. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The store is locally owned, convenient, and carries everything you would expect in a hardware store, ranging from gardening supplies and outdoor grills to the expected outdoor and indoor hardware, paint, and tools, to household items like lightbulbs and specialized batteries, etc If in doubt about whether they might have something, give them a ring and they’ll be happy to talk with you about it. They are much more convenient, and local and knowledgeable than the big box stores

Great real hardware store with knowledgeable employees

When my friend and I arrived we were greeted by a salesperson, which was expected. My friend needed some drill bits and I needed a conceal carrier holder. I asked the salesperson if they carried any holders and I was given an immediate look of suspicion. He awkwardly looked at his coworkers after I asked the question, he replied no we do not. After I got my answer, we proceeded to look for drill bits for my friend. However, to our surprise we were being followed and watched as if we were criminals. The three of them watched us the entire time as he picked out what drill bits he wanted. The entire buying experience was extremely uncomfortable. I sincerely hope we werent being watch solely because we both are black. Unfortunately that seemed to be the case, I will not return to this establishment and keep my business in Sumter around a more military friendly environment.

Had two online orders to pick up in this local store, supposedly available for pickup the same day as shown online, but it has been four days and nobody even contacted me at all if the orders are ready or not. Called during this waiting time (two days after I placed the orders) and the gentlemen (not a good attitude) told me they were waiting for the truck to come but no more update since then. First time shopping Ace online and probably my last time.

Here I am five years later. Still go there for most needs, in fact even yesterday. Past year or two, there are two guys there esp. helpful: Surge and Taylor, have been great, really knowledgeable. If they dont know it, its probably because our knowledge of warp-field theory and Borg algorithms isnt that advanced yet. Okay, kidding on the last part.Five years ago: Yes, the hours are not as wide open as chains, but if you want someone knowledgeable and who doesnt run from you or pretend like he or she didnt see you, Id say go here. Ive never had a bum steer from these folks. Can you say the same of the big chain stores?

A lot of times, the Columbia-area Ace stores dont have what I need, but the staff is always knowledgeable about what they do have and can typically point me toward some other local spot that does stock the more niche products Im looking for (especially at the Beltline location). Its rare that I have to wander the aisles at any of the three local Ace Hardware stores looking for something--whether they stock it or not--and I appreciate that.

Theres one person there that is friendly and knowledgeable. The rest, especially that young redhead kid are very unsociable. Not to mention I was looked at like a crazy person when I asked for a compression fitting. Ill just go to Lowes, theyre just as dumb but at least its cheaper.

Good place to pick up individual pieces of hardware without having to buy an entire pack.

A real Hardware Store with helpful, knowledgeable staff...they offer a broad range of products in-store, and whatever they do not have in stock they can get in a very short period of time. I came to this store in Southeast Columbia from my home in Blythewood (about a 30-mile roundtrip) because they assembled and delivered a Weber grill to my home for the same price as was offered by the local Lowes (only about 4 miles from my home)...but Lowes did not offer free assembly or delivery.

No waiting... in and out!!! Love this place... Friendly staff too..

I love the staff here! Id give it five stars but for two things:The selection is a bit limited and theyre now not open on Sundays.

The store hours posted on google, and the store hours posted on the door of their store both say they close at 7:00 Monday - Friday. I got there at 6:20 and they were closed.

Google maps and their answering machine both say they are open on Sunday. They arent.
