Holly and the sales associate (forgot his name) were very knowledgeable and helpful !Their childrens toys, were above average quality and reasonably priced.Their milk is also about 2.60, well below other retailers.The associate at the return desk was extremely nice!Very positive experience!

I really wish they would hire people in order to help customers. Unfortunately the powers that be, associates worth is not based on how well they take care of a customer but how many menial tasks they complete while they are on the clock. Therefore the associate will always try to casually blind themselves to someone in need in order to make their direct manager happy by having stock put up stick ol straightening up.

TOP NOTCH!! I know people who come here.....from OTHER towns! The staff is excellent. Product selection is staggering and rarely have I ever seen a better kept store. I also know people who consider coming here FUN and not a chore. I have never experienced anything but great service so I highly recommend this business. Basically, its just a better all-around experience than any other big box store in town.

This is my go-to place for building supplies. Today some of the shelves or bear or lacking what I was looking for. I will keep shopping here of course. The 11% off is real nice. Even before that 11% their prices meet or beat the other box stores.

I like shopping there usually but its getting hard to find anyone to help you find things and i couldnt find a motorized handicap cart again at the entrance and the employees at the counter didnt want to help locate one so i had to go do my shopping somewhere else again .thats disappointing because i like to buy a lot of stuff there.

Do believe they have the best prices the prices are a lot better than Lowes fifty cents to a dollar and fifty cents lower

Extremely helpful!! The power was down and I wanted a refrigerator and they carried it down the stairs along with a grill I wanted super nice guy named Bryan helped me he was so helpful I asked if I could tell his manager how much I appreciated him and his hardwork and great customer service he said he was one of the managers!! He was truly awesome and my cashier James was also very kind they both helped get me loaded and Im on my way!!

Had exactly what I needed versus the specialty store that should have had what I needed in stock, and associates at Menards were helpful even during a busy time. Great impression.

Oct 16th 2021 around 10:45am my husband bought a chest freezer and drove around back to pick it up. Darren (I hope I spelled that right) was working the order counter. I went in to find the freezer, unsure what my husband bought. Darren located it in a matter of seconds and brought it to the truck AND loaded it up for us. We are not used to getting that much help at Menard He has truly outstanding customer servic and the world needs more Darrens.

Probably the best home improvement store in Columbia. I love the huge selection of lumber. There is a lumber barn hundreds of yards long. They even have a self-service mitre saw to cut your wood to size before you leave. Very helpful!

Has a lot of home products for sale, including food and beverage supplies. Ive bought a lot of things here. I enjoy shopping here and find many items that are not available elsewhere.

I worked at this place from 2009 to 2011 and have not been there since. The prices are good compared to home depot and lowes but I would give every cent back I made if I could give back the experience from working there. Imagine a place who can turn your family against you and ruin your life from lies. Doesnt sound possible does it? It happened to me. I went to a Menards in St Louis a few years ago and still feel dirty because of it. Thankfully I have got a much better job now and looking to do better but I wish this place never existed. If I remember right my bosses were Luke and Ben.

Menards needs to pay better attention to customers with disabilities. Unpleasant experience today. Electric carts shouldnt be left out in the parking lot when people need them. Associate offered to locate one and never returned. Meanwhile there was one sitting outside, ignored by the employees who were bringing in shopping carts. I saw it when I was pulling out of the parking lot. One cart for a huge, busy store? Unacceptable. ADA would like to hear about this. Take note!

Two out of the four items I brought to the register were double the price the shelf said they were. Their explanation was that they, must have been put in the wrong spot. Which isnt my fault not is it my problem. Yet the department managers treated me like a l was a liar and a cheapskate. I wont be back to Menards. Ill just go to Lowes or home Depot or any of the other run of the mill home improvement stores. Thanks for nothing Menards.

Great place to find parts for coolers & yard ornaments.

Large scaled home store that can easily competes with Home Depot. The branding is very old and looks 80ish design, they should rebrand the whole chain of stores. The customer care was good, they help you not only to find a particular stuff but also give their opinions on themes and aesthetics. I recommend the store.

I purchased a custom door from this location in April 2021. I sent a request for the advertised 11% rebate on two different occasions to the rebate center (April & June). Still no rebate for a $388 door. Do NOT buy anything from Menards expecting a rebate. They will use any excuse not to process your request. What a SHAM!!

Have never had any bad experiences! Almost always have what I need as well as extra things so no complaints from me! On a side note, I have friends who are apparently very upset about the Veterans policy or discount which I know nothing about. But if its something that needs correction then it should be looked into.

Menards is ok. I can find tools and hardware cheaper here than other stores, though lumber is cheaper at Home Depot. The reason for 3 stars instead of 4 is because they sell re-boxed display items as full price new. I received a display paint sprayer that is functional, but quite dirty. When I asked about this, and I mentioned that it is not normally good business practice to sell opened items as new, I was told “It was last year’s display model. That’s what we do. I just do what I’m told, sorry.” I’d be penalized for doing that on any selling platform.

Menards was not crowded today. You got 15% off everything you bought, by using a provided large paper sack. Some groceries are available as well. You can find just about anything you need here. Everyone was wearing masks and social distancing. Helpful staff and credit card/debit machines, counters are disinfected between customers.

This place has everything but a whole lot of nothing, prices are hit or miss, staff has to be hunted down in order to get help most of the time. I was also once cased and approached by 5 staff who thought I was potentially shoplifting once while I was wandering the store aimlessly while waiting on my wife who was having a bathroom emergency. Not a fan of the place at all to be honest with you. As massive as the place is, youd think theyd have a better selection and more variety. One star for being able to purchase pre-cut boards... Thats come in handy on occasion. This location is a joke though, and be careful if your spouse tends to need a long bathroom break... Theyll treat you like a criminal.

Beware people with disabilities. I had a super hard time finding a scooter. I tried to get a cart person to try and find one, but he just told me that they were all being used since there werent any at the front door. I ended up trying to push a cart and I found 2 scooters that had been abandoned throughout the store!!! I complained to the cashier and she just said Im sorry . I know that its not the cashiers job, but there were no one at the service desk. I just think that the customer service needs to be amped up a little bit at the Columbia location.

I will avoid this place at all costs. They are so obsessed with mask wearing that they spend more time policing that then selling materials. I was verbally accosted by an employee Thomas who then called the store manager Obi. I have a health condition and struggle to wear masks but I do at menards because they refuse to check you out otherwise. They are prejudiced against persons with disabilities. Please stop shopping here so they will go out of business.

The check out clerk rushed everyone through so fast the belt broke my furnace filter. It takes a person a minute to pay and load everything. She would not wait for u to do that. Hate that.

First of all this is the first time i have been to a Menards in my life after seeing their ads on TV for years. I was not expecting them to have a little bit of EVERYTHING. I could spend at least an hour just browsing. Staff were very helpful and we will be going there again in the future.

Menards in SEDALIA, MO is well managed and customer service is great. Columbia, MO store not so. I had to place a phone call to the Appliance department to ask someone to help me. We were very disappointed in the lack of customer service.

Always have good luck finding what I went in for the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Today I was looking to get paint samples for a couple of rooms. They matched my color samples and had them mixed and ready in no time.

I have no problem with wearing a mask within your facility but when Im approached for not wearing a mask when I physically saw 2 employees with no mask and 1 employee pull hers up as you approached me is a little ridiculous. Then have the nerve to try and argue that they are all wearing a mask. What a joke. Home depot will get all my business from here on out .

Menards is a pretty decent place to shop, they tend to have the harder to find stuff that the other guys dont have on hand and I generally always have some sort of tool on sale

Went in to ask for a 3 prong dryer cord. Told to look instead of showing me. Then asked the register guy. He called a lady over. To look up online that it is a special item to order online. Which was irrelevant when I already decided to purchase this $6 item.

Menards is the Mecca to tool around and find what you need for DIY projects, appliances, and gifts. Its like a hardware store on steriods which has merged with home, life, and adventure. Maybe this place is a transformer, but when it comes to mega-savings, youll save BIG money at Menards. I have shopped Menards for paint, lighting, wallpaper, rugs, lumber, food, books, clothes, calendars, toys, lawn care, and appliances. Ive found whatever store I am in at the moment, the staff is super helpful. These folks are experts at inside advice, and hey, I love the outdoor advice, too, as I have nabbed numerous plants and decorations. And when comes to Christmas shopping, I think Santas Workshop must be inside Menards. I often knock out a good part of my Christmas list at Menards. Listen, I doubt Menards will fit underneath your Christmas tree, so do the next best thing, come shop em in person or online. Either way, Menards will transform your life.

One of my favorite stores! It has the more commercial tools and the novice tools. Sometimes all I need is a wrench, no an $80 wrench. They have both, so take your pick.

I love their prices. It annoys me that they have their desk to order large purchases from their lumber yard is at the back of the store. I am older and have to walk all the way to the back of the store. Place my order. Then walk all the way out to drive around to the yard to pick my stuff up. With my serious breathing condition, and menards requirement that i have to wear a mask, it just about makes me pass out by the time i get to the front door. It would be great if they would move their desk for large purchases up front where it used to be.

I Love this place! To be clear, I enjoy the design of the store, such as the lighting, arrangement of everything, and they usually have pretty competitive prices for most things. The stock and variety of items is usually pretty great as well. The only drawback is, while the assisting associates are in general very helpful, the check-out associates have ranged from nonchalant to borderline rude to me on numerous occasions; even in the purchase of “big-ticket” items. Considerably more times than not. Nonetheless, I still highly enjoy this place. Also, the quality of material here is good (i.e. I like the sturdiness of the window blinds as compared to all other home stores).

Went to Menards this morning and saw this cute birdhouse on sale. At check out it rang up at regular price. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES TO ME AT THIS STORE!! SALE PRICE NOT UPDATED!! OF course you cant see it when they ring it up from where you are bagging your own merchandise!! Went over to the service counter to point out the mistake. It was clearly marked 8.99, but person checking price said 9.99. Told them to keep it!!! I was right because I went back and checked myself!

Hello, today I went to your store, where I have spent lots of my hard earned money over the last few years. Normally I’d say that I have had nothing but a wonderful experience shopping with you. However today I went to shop and was accosted by your mask nazis, and was forced to either buy a mask or leave the store. Even though I have a religious exemption and a medical exemption, with documentation. Not that you or your staff are legally allowed to ask for it anyway. So regardless as to not make a big deal out of it I bought one of your muzzles. And as I went to go shop and spent $700. I noticed multiple of your own employees had masks on but were wearing them improperly (under the nose). Just thought I’d let you know you won’t get another penny out of me.

I brought in a broken light today and wasn’t sure what to do as far as finding a replacement piece goes. The guy (not sure his name) wearing a purple bandana was AMAZING! He was so helpful and knew what to do. Thank you bandana guy and Menards. We are very happy campers (:

Girl in paint dept was very helpful. Checkout folks seemed in short supply. Automatic floor cleaner was neat and politely stopped for me to walk through. Probably replaced a paid employee though.

I went in looking for one thing ended up spending an hour and a half in there and found several things I needed.

Great shopping experience, lots of quality products to choose from, biggest problem was deciding what brand of what product to buy.

Customer service not great, disorganized, and rude. Usually staff unsure of items, how items work, where to find items, staff unsure in general. Typical box store. Advice: Walk with the customer to a product, answer questions about products, serve customers in order, and smile. Thats why Westlakes will never go out of business.

It was a nice store. I forgot to wear my mask so I didnt get a chance to explore. Will do that another time.

The security guard at the front would not allow me to come in the store with my child... I was going to purchase all new appliances for our new house... went down the road 1 mile and spent my money at Home Depot.... they told me yes bring him on in... will never shop at any menards again... along with spreading the word
