Lucked out and got parking right in front on a Sunday. First I notice how wonderful the decor is here. The lights are so pretty. Easy to read menu in the board or you can check out the app first. I love family owned places. I tried the pistachio baklava and the Mediterranean chicken wrap. My son had the omelette. Very good food at just the right temperature. Put your dishes in the cart they have located close to where you pick up your food.
They have absolutely amazing and authentic Greek food. The Gyros and Hummus they had was great. I tried the Walnut Baklava, which was amazing -- it was dense, sweet, and flaky. The selection was good; they had several coffees that you could choose from. The staff was super nice and friendly. The decor and atmosphere of the place was like no other place in CoMo.
We decided to try this coffee place for breakfast since they actually had interesting food options! It did not disappoint! It’s now my favorite coffee place in all of Columbia! The decor was unique and super cute I love that they have a fireplace inside. They had a ton of different latte flavors and their food choices were amazing! I want to try everything on the menu
Always enjoy this place. I come here on Sundays and get a brunch item and some decaf and work on my laptop for a few hours. Theyre always really nice and the food is great!
Love this place. The staff is friendly, the prices are honest, and the Mediterranean Chicken wrap is one of my favorite lunches in town.
Service was great! Coffee was made fast and so delicious, food came up quickly too. Best baklava in town!!
The guy didnt take the time to ask what milk I wanted in my latte, customer services is lacking and my latte was 3/4 full when j receivedit. The two young men there were more focused on their own personal matters rather than being good employees. I will not be coming back
Didn’t try their coffee but had the deluxe gyro sandwich. Best gyro I’ve had, period. Soft pita, tender lamb with crispy edges, nice green lettuce and actually red tomatoes! Tzatziki sauce was perfect, not too strong of flavor. Will be back!
Best place to get coffee in Columbia! Also very tasty pastries and baklava. Love this place
I wanted some cold coffee so I went to the closest coffee shop. It was my first time there. I told him I wanted cold coffee . He made suggestions so I went with it. Coffee tasted good. It was not too crowded. Next time I will sit & grab a bite of something. Menu looked good.
Excellent food and ambience. Its a Columbia institution, the breakfast is overlooked but so delicious.
Three of my friends and I stopped in here for food and coffee. They had good looking food and a ton of flavors for their lattes, so we were excited. We were waiting in line and my friend picked up this granola bar thing at the counter and was looking at it, and the guy behind the counter snapped at her and said “please stop touching things.” ??? So rude, she was literally going to buy it. Even though the guy was extremely rude for no reason, I still decided to order a caramel iced latte. It was disgusting, 0/10 and made my stomach hurt. Won’t be going back.
Food, coffee, and customer service are out of this world! Ive been coming here for years and this place is truly a Columbia gem.
Been coming here for over 10 years and it’s my favorite coffee/ lunch spot in town. Owners are great and always super friendly. Food and drinks are delicious and always well prepared! If you haven’t been here or are from out of town... this is where you need to go if you’re downtown!
Great atmosphere, coffee and food is consistently great. Ive gotten a lot of work done here - wifi is almost always really solid, and the owners are really nice as well. Hala hala!
Great little coffee shop! A little pricey ($11 for two coffees) but well worth it if you like REAL coffee. Great vibe inside, and seating area outside if you have pups like I do.Staff was friendly, and they had a good menu. Love it
This is a cute coffee shop downtown. Has a warm atmosphere and good food.
That was amazing! Gyros for the win.
I love coffee zone. Their gyros are great and they have my favorite cold brew in Columbia. I like sugar free syrups, and if you were wondering, starbucks has maybe...two kinds? Coffee zone has SO MANY. Its the same employees every time so I think one or both might be the owners, but theyre super friendly. Ive had the gyro, hummus, cookies, salad, falafel, scones, rugalach, cinnamon rolls, coffee - its all delicious.
The amaretto latte was so delicious. The food was the best Mediterranean food Ive had. It was all so filling and just wonderful. I wish I had this place back home 😭
Delicious food. Best coffee in town. Friendly service. Nice place to sit. Or take out.
I don’t drink coffee. Mediterranean food dominates a large menu. Order at the counter and food is then prepared. It appears to be a 2-man operation: register and cook, so you might stand in line, but it moves pretty quick. I was with a small group and we all liked the food, which you pick up yourself. Real plates and utensils, and you bus your own table, which are mostly 2-seaters. It is different. The food is good.
Love the hot apple cider here. Makes winter a little bearable. All of the food is delicious! Great customer service.
Amazing, great food and coffee. Friendly attentive staff.
Cute little spot with down to earth home-like feel
Best coffee ☕ and service anywhere, oh yeah delicious food
Best coffee in Como hands down.
First time visiting today. Clean, delicious bagels, good coffee and great customer service. Will return
DRIVING WHEEL LOVES COFFEE ZONE!! Issam and Nadir are awesome, my favorite hot drinks are the Rocket Fuel, Dirty Chai, White Chocolate Mousse, and White Chocolate Mocha. My favorite cold drinks are the Vietnamese, Force of Vietnamese and Future of Coffee. Non-menu item Steves Special is a super sweet cold treat. The food is amazing, try the Gyro Deluxe, either with hummus or tzatziki. I prefer hummus, but the tzatziki is also awesome. Best coffee shop in the world? Maybe so...
Hands down best coffee in Columbia, also the service is very friendly. They always remember my name! Love it
I absolutely love this place! It was my first time there and I had the deluxe gyro and tried baklava for the first time. All if the food was delicious and shop gave a cozy vibe. I will definitely be going back!
Just hearing the name you would think some mediocre coffee shop.....not at all. Coffee was excellent and hands down the best mediterranean food Ive ever had would recommend to anyone traveling through like I did
Tried the gyros and baklava. Both excellent. I thought the gyro with tanziki was better than with hummus. Will definitely return.
One of our favorite spots. We go for the food just as much as the rocket fuel. Our family tends to go with cinnamon rolls and mediterranean omlet deluxe plates (kind of an open face omlet with veggies and gyro meat). Doesnt hurt that they have fast and friendly service.
Small, intimate, and authentic. breakfast is delicious, as is the coffee.
No frills great coffee joint with an extensive Mediterranean food menu. Surprisingly good gyros and hummus if you want to enjoy a good espresso over lunch.
Bad coffee and terrible service. I order a latte, received a brewed coffee that tasted really bad. It is a nice looking place. I wish people would put their heart into their choice of employment. Maybe then coffee would taste a lot better and not end in the trash.
Friendly, peaceful, beautiful ... the Mediterranean breakfast plate was delicious. And the coffee options are fantastic! Thank you for a wonderful start to my birthday!
Always friendly..... Best gyro in town...great place to sit and enjoy a great strong rocket fuel coffee
I love popping in here, having a nice chat, and grabbing a exceptional cup of coffee. Thats all I ever need and they do a great job.
Coffee Zone has the best Mediterranean food in Columbia! Get the gyro, the hummus or the Arabic breakfast plate! And the candy bar latte ❤️ So good!
Banana nut latte is incredible!
One of my favorite spots all four years of college (and after). Uniformly friendly welcome by the baristas. The space is quiet, relaxing, and spacious. It never feels crammed or unfriendly like some other places in town. Great food for a healthy lunch or breakfast. The Mediterranean omelet is a solid, cheap breakfast. I love their roasts–cinnamon, vanilla–which never taste bitter or like fake flavoring. As a bonus: best music in town. Great for working, writing, or a chill coffee date spot.
Absolutely great place. Ive been going there for years and its always been perfect.
Warm and inviting. Great coffee and treats. The middle eastern food is authentic and delicious. I could have stayed all day.
If only the coffee lived up to the service and the beautiful space, it was served in. Please note that if this review were based on our service, I would have given it 5 stars. The staff were friendly, very helpful, and the interior was equally stunning. You place your order at a beautiful wood bar set against an old brick wall. However if coffee is listed in your name, then you need to make sure and do one thing correctly. I ordered a drip and my wife a cold brew, both turned out to be very disappointing. The drip coffee tasted scorched, not dark and robust just scorched. The cold brew tasted like it was my drip coffee from the day before poured over ice, not something that should be classified as cold brew. I would like to return to try the food, but until then these are my thoughts.
Always amazing. Absolutely favorite place to eat.
I ordered the Gyro Deluxe Sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious! I was looking everywhere in Columbia to try to find the best Gyro, and this is it. There was plenty of sauce, and the lamb was tender and flavorful. I also ordered humus and pita on the side, it was so refreshing and delightful. What a great overall experience.
All you have is good and delicious. I wish you good luck🙏🌹❤️👍
Stopped in for a latte and quick bite on the weekend and I wasnt overly impressed. Service was not very friendly.I noticed they didnt do any latte art (which I secretly look forward to). The latte was alright tasting though. Had the egg wrap and it was flavorless (to me). Admittedly, I am not well versed in Mediterranean food and middle-Eastern food and that is what they serve. What I ate could have been perfect to another palate. Based on all the great reviews, maybe this one was just a miss for me personally. The store is absolutely beautiful though!Somebody there must also have a sense of humor based on a couple bags I spied on the counter. Picture to accompany. :D
Rocket fuel and a gyro.
Wonderful coffee and if you dont drink coffee they have a variety of teas and other beverages. The staff is friendly, great atmosphere and the food is delicious! I dont like hummus but I love the hummus there!!
Not the best falafel 3/10, plus it felt like I was eating a lettuce wrap.
There wasnt anything about my visit that could have gone better. The staff were friendly, the coffee shop was clean (including the restroom), the desserts were fresh, they offer a variety of fun drinks to choose from, and for Columbia I felt the prices were fair...Id go back and Id refer a friend to try this spot out, no problem.
Boy or boy do those gyros hit! I havent ventured too far into their menu but gosh darn it everything I have tried there is flames. Cool atmosphere most likely playing Damien Rice Pandora station - friendly staff, good vibes. Definitely a local treasure.
Stopped in for a Gyro, having been to Athens and had authentic im a big critic, and Coffee Zone brought it. Juicy meat, super tender, and a great titzeki sauce, iv always said, it could have the best meat in town but a bad sause is a bad Gyro.Food aside Coffee Zone had a clean and relaxed atmosphere, with friendly staff.I didnt partake in any coffee or dessert. Reserving my 5th star for when I do, and looking forward to it.
I love this coffeehouse! The Mediterranean food is probably the best in town, and they have great coffee. The interior is cozy and has lots of cool photographs and antiques. The staff are wonderful!
My favorite coffee shop. The Vietnamese coffee is the one thing that can make any day better
Great food and the best coffee
Best coffee in town!
Had a falafel sandwich and was pleasantly surprised with the presentation and flavor. The owner is very kind and will make your acquaintance if you try. Good coffee as well, definitely give it a try
My favorite place for coffee and breakfast in Columbia, Mo
My favorite coffee shop ever. Spent an absurd amount of money here during my 4 years and it was worth every penny. Honestly might move back to CoMo from NYC just so I can go here again.
There is such a great atmosphere here! The coffee is great (they have a ton of different options), they have a wide selection of teas and pastries! They even serve breakfast and lunch! Bathroom and dining areas are always clean. I will say, they dont have a lot of bigger tables to spread out while doing homework, but that can be taken care of by pulling a couple tables together. I have also yet to have an issue with a single employee. They are always super friendly, and from watching their interactions with other customers, seem to get to know their regular customers very well. Overall, a pretty good place to grab a cup of coffee/tea and a pastry while getting some work done! (One star taken off for lack of table space since I am here usually doing homework and need the space).
Great service and coffee! Very welcoming and unique atmosphere
I got the Cinnamon roll which was very sweet and soft and the vietnamese coffee which was a little sweet but still great. I also got the Mediterranean chicken wrap which was full of flavor. Coffee Zone also had a greatly relaxed environment
I will be back! A dear friend of mine told me to go see his friends at Coffee Zone. The Baklava is decadent! My husband had an ear to ear grin when he saw his Gyro and barely came up for air until he was done. My Mediterranean Deluxe Salad had all the nurses asking where did that come from and I was most happy to give them directions. The food made me happy and the atmosphere is friendly and wonderful. Brought home some Rocket Fuel too!
Im new to town (been here about 2 months), and Google routed me wierdly around it so it was kinda a pain to find if you dont know where its at because Google had me run around the entire block. But the coffee is great, and the food is great, and the aesthetic of the restaurant itself is pretty. Love the lanterns.
Im a little partial to this place as Ive been going here for a while, but still its just amazing. I love the atmosphere... the staff, and wow, they put out a mean coffee! Its great. My little slice of paradise!
Great selection of coffee drinks and greek breakfast foods. Nice cozy little shop. Coffee beans too.
We stopped in here because everything else seemed to be closed. I have only one complaint: The guy running the register was also trying to fix drinks, and the line, at times, was eight deep and moving SLOWLY. But the food was incredible, and the atmosphere was really interesting.
The humus they make here is fantastic. It’s a little thinner than I am used too but the flavor adds to the experience instead of taken over the pallet.
Excellent coffee. Good people. Excellent breakfast and lunch. They can fulfill almost any order. Definitely worth hanging out. Definitely worth trying. I highly recommend it. Enjoy.
Great ambiance, great coffee, and I didnt know this before I went: lots of options for a meal or snack!!
The gyro is AMAZING as is the Vietnamese coffee and The Future Of Coffee (wish it wasn’t seasonal)! The guys working there are always friendly and welcoming. Definitely a CoMo gem!
I have been a fan of Coffee Zone for years--since before our teenage son was born! Best place for a good Arabic breakfast and/or a good gyro, Greek salad, chicken wrap, and of course, the best coffee around! I am known for spending time there with coffee and my computer--its a nice place to get some writing done. Now our son goes in to meet up with his friends, and everyone who works there knows him by name.
Very good food from the Mediterranean priced around $9. Really good coffee, just wish they had free refills when you order food at sit down. A great place to get Turkish coffee as well.
Great coffee and great service!!! Amazing atmosphere and great place to go alone or with one or more friends. Smoking allowed outside and bathrooms, at least the MEN facilities, are always clean and well-stocked
Absolutely the best coffee shop in this town . Ive been a loyal customer and fan of the rocket fuel simce 98
You will find great food and coffee at coffee zone
I used to frequent Coffee Zone when I lived in Columbia, and was never disappointed. The staff was always friendly and even knew me by name. The food was some of the best I have had in Columbia and the Rocket Fuel cold brewed coffee was amazing. I went back recently and am glad to say nothing has changed. I only wish I had been there earlier in the day so I could have caught up with the friendly employees I knew a few years ago.
Great spot. Food, coffee, & service are great.
Nice little coffee shop. Good coffee. I just wish it wasnt downtown cuz you have to find parking.
Friendly Barista, but knew I was in for a surprise when I ordered a Quad Espresso and they said, come again?...4 Shots Espresso, please. Then they asked, what size.... Dont care what size you use, just put the 4 shots in a cup. Next thing you know Im watching them dump steamed milk in. Hold up partner, whatcha doing there? Didnt request a macchiato or latte, went ahead took it and gave it away. Luckily I was ordering two, and had an actual espresso for myself. I will give it a try again, everyone is subject to error, just kinda like $12 coffees to be correct.Edit: The two quads were purchased yesterday 3/7. Had him add hazelnut to the messed up order which may be why the total was higher than $9 + Tax. Price wasnt the issue, confusion on terminology was. Namely, what an Espresso is.....and a quad.
Always friendly. Knowledgeable about coffee and their house coffee, rocket fuel, is great! Maybe the best hummus Ive ever had...and I really enjoy their Mediterranean breakfast.
Best coffee, hands down in Columbia.(Rocket Fuel) Good people and food, all around good experiences here for years.
The staff is so friendly. Always enjoy going here when Im in town from Ohio. Coffee and desserts are delicious. Food is Mediterranean style and so very delicious!
Charged us for a full Vietnamese coffee when asked for a small sample size cup to add some sweetness to the bitter coffee that they served us. Make sure to double check your ticket before paying! I contacted the store and informed them of the issue and they never got back to me. Sad to say that this place has been going down hill over the last couple of years. It used to be my favorite Mediterranean food stop, but I think I will go a block down the street to a place (Olive Cafe) with better prices, better service, and possibly better food.
Awesome place, good atmosphere, great owners
