Taro milk tea is always so good. Might add some brown sugar syrup for additional sweetness next time. Definitely recommend and grab a punch card 😉

Best Bubble Tea ever! Stephanie helped us out tonight with deciding which flavor to get, giving us a sample of the Thai Tea which was phenomenal, I tried the Lavender Milk Tea, and the Taro Tea which was a beautiful purple color with an almost vanilla like taste to it. I can’t wait to go back and try new flavors.

Service here is usually pretty quick. I really like their taro tea, and it tastes great here.The location is also perfect, right next to campus so you can grab a drink between classes.

Atmosphere: Bubblecup Tea Zone is a causal, comfortable place to go for a wide variety of drinks. They have couch seating and tables for two (the seats are tall bar stool chairs). The decorations are cute and for Valentines Day they had glittery hearts as centerpieces on the tables. 5/5Staff: The staff is friendly and efficient. There was a long line when we got there, but it moved very quickly. Orders are made at the counter, and then customers sit and wait for their name to be called to pick up their order. 5/5Food: I had the Honey Green Milk Tea with boba. The drink was delightful. The straws were a bit too small for the boba to travel through, so they were prone to plug up the bottom of the straw. So you had to make an effort to enjoy the boba with the drink, instead of letting them all sit in the bottom of the cup until the end. 4/5

I’ve been going to bubble cup tea zone before it transferred ownership - and many times after! I’ve spent hundreds of dollars here, probably, which is why it’s really disappointing that I have to say it’s not the same as it used to be. Every single time I’ve come in recently all the people working behind the counter are either sitting down at the tables talking amongst themselves (and don’t move to greet you or take your order when you walk in) or just straight up won’t even acknowledge your presence. I’ve had this problem at *both* locations. your customers should always come first... I think the employees need to be re-trained with that in mind.

It’s a cute place. My go to is the rose milk tea with crystal boba. Sooo good!! I thought that moving to the Midwest from the East Coast meant that I would have to give up on the “boutique/gourmet” boba shops that I used to frequent and settle for some run-of-the-mill boba shop. But much to my surprise, bubblecup tea zone has a very good selection of flavors, pairings, and textures.It’s always exciting to try different flavors. I still haven’t gotten through their menu!

This is one of the best places in Columbia, hands down. Ive frequented Bubblecup for five years now and their quality drinks and incredible customer service has never changed. Ive been to a few other bubble tea joints when I was out of town, but none of them compared. Keep doing what youre doing guys!

Awesome variety of milk tea and others!

Several technical issues aside, the bubble tea itself was quite disappointing. I was very excited to see lychee on the menu but it tasted pretty bad. A taste experience to forget.

The BEST boba tea and slushes. My wife and I try to go here every time we are in Columbia. Ive yet to have a flavor I didnt like. Our favorities are: Passion Fruit, Mango, Rose, Hawaiian Sunset, and Pina Colada. Always with boba.

The crepes are great. Service is great and friendly. The South location has a food menu and there drink menu is a great variety to choose from. If your not familiar or sure what you want just ask and theyre great to explain and suggest.

Ordered two honey dew teas with boba, when we picked up the order only one had boba. After going back in to ask for boba the employee stated that it was our fault for not listening to them when they repeated the order and they were at no obligation to fix it. Lucky for us they went ahead and added boba and put in a new cup for us. However their attitude and resistance to correct their mistake has left a sour taste and we are not likely to return.

Worker was very pleasant, bubble tea was overly sweet.

Staff did not acknowledge me when I walked in, and were not very friendly. A simple welcome or even a look wouldve been nice, but I digress. I went on a Sunday, so it was not very busy. The actual tea itself was okay, a little chalky though.

The worker wouldnt give me a pumpkin spice tea even though they had the stuff to make it because she was trying to save it for herself. The worker was really rude.

Called in to place an order for pick up since the last time I was in there they took a while and I was in a hurry today. The lady on the phone said, “We’re not open yet” I looked at the clock and it was one minute before they opened. I asked why she answered the phone if they weren’t open and she replied, “because we’re required to” and then hung up on me. Date was 6-24-20 hopefully the management reads these and gets this awful worker out of there. I usually love this place and everyone is friendly. Won’t be continuing to purchase drinks here with rude employees.

The best bubble tea in Columbia. They have a lot of variety of drinks and all of the servers are friendly and willing to give good recommendations. They serve several different types of desserts as well including crepes. Its a great place to meet and hang out with friends. Theres several high chairs and tables and a couch. They also occasionally have special flavors during holidays and True/False.

The downtown location is cute but finding parking is hard sometimes. The staff is friendly, and the quality varies on who makes it. I prefer the grindstone employees, seems like they make I right every time. It may not be quality milk tea, but for being in the Midwest it’s the best we are probably going to get.

An absolute amazing tea shop! The servers are so nice and friendly, if you unsure what to get just ask and theyll happily suggest one of their many delicious teas! Tried the nutella banana crepe and was blown away by how quick and tasty it was! Highly recommend so of the weirder options like the sea salt tea which gives a salty savory undertone to their sweet jasmine green tea! No matter what you get Im sure youll find it amazingly tasty!!!

Hipsters kind beverages and desserts shop. The menu is confusing which requires staff assistance to understand better. The cost is above average for the beverages. The menu is elongated, if you go there, take time in reading everything and dont hesitate to ask questions because menu item looks tempting but they can be different in taste. The staff was helpful and quick.

Crepes are really tasty at this location! Boba is not bad but not the best I have had but I guess since it is Columbia it gets a pass. Service was okay. Food was served quick and tasty. Glad we stopped by

The owners seem to not care about quality any more. I asked for 25% sugar in my bubble tea and she made it regular sweet and calling it 25% sweetness! Such a disappointment! Please train your staff properly or your customers wont come back!

The best bubble tea place in Columbia. Its located centrally downtown, a three-minute walk from most downtown apartment complexes and about two minutes from the north side of campus. I visit at least twice a week! The new owner (started 2017) has implemented a rewards program for frequent visitors. Its conveniently located next to multiple cafés and the best ice cream place in town, so if you have less adventurous friends they can still find something for that late-night sweet tooth!

You know, as far as token bubble tea shops in college towns go, that ones actually legit. They use real milk, not powdered milk, ...except sometimes... but at least u know what ur getting into. Great selection, Taiwanese approved. sometimes, they run out of bubbles, which my dear Caucasian readers, means that they only make enough so that theyre fresh per order, not leftovers from 2 days ago. This is a good thing, please take note.

This is my favorite independent boba shop. All the staff are kind and courteous. There is a vast variety of drinks available from tangy, fruit teas to creamy, sweet cookies and cream shakes. There are dairy free (dried milk proteins), plant milk, and dairy options. They dont have as many add ins as some of the chain shops, but there are plenty of delicious, distinct toppings to add, including classic tapioca pearls. The texture varies (they tend to be firmer in the morning hours and softer towards the end of the day), but I am happy with gummy bear like texture. I go at least once a week and have been through several punch cards (11th drink is free!)

This place has got the BEST BOBA I’ve EVER had, and believe me when I say I’ve tried boba in many a place. I’ve had it a handful of countries, a large handful of states, and in all the places here in Columbia and NO place compares. When I say I’m genuinely going to miss this place when I move out of Columbia I mean it. Their prices are REALLY good and the staff is always very friendly. For some reason my motivation levels hit an all time high when I’m here and I can usually plug in and get a lot of work done over one of their teas. I recommend their fruit teas a lot. Did not expect the emotional experience that came with this tea! I got to a point where I wasnt getting anymore boba and was surprised at how much I missed them. I sadly drank the rest of the cinnamon toast milk and got a little brain freeze because the lovely boba were not there to slow me down. I was overjoyed to find a couple bobas left hidden in the ice. Buried treasure! I exclaimed. It was a fun little game picking through the ice to extract the lil squish balls. 10/10. Would bubble tea again

Worst bubble tea I have ever had in my entire life. The second I took I sip I immediately spit it out it was disgusting the boba was over cooked and not sweetened in any way. The tea was awful and the cashier wasn’t even paying attention when she was taking my order she was too busy flirting with the guy she was working with. Would not surprise me if she was smoking the green while on the job.

Terrible music, a little dirty. Half the menu is seasonal, so Columbia is 92 degrees today, but you cant get anything summer, including snowfluff. Who wants hot pumpkin tea when its 92 degrees outside?

The place was very nice. Good staff. The Taro tea was very bland almost watery very disappointed with that since it was my first time at this place. My friend had a thai tea and that was better. This place is hit or miss. Depends on what you get.

I lived in San Francisco for nearly two years, walked all up and down those streets and couldnt find a single cafe that had bubble tea better than Bubblecup. I have living this place since I discovered it in 2014 and still to take time to park and swing by when I can!

I love this place for crepes and bubble tea. The problem is that when you charge me extra for Nutella do not throw the cheap chocolate syrup on my crepe at the end to make up for the fact that you put almost no Nutella on it to start with. I miss when the owner used to be the one working in the shop. The quality of the product has gone way down.
