Outstanding! Im glad I decided to check this place out when getting gas last week. Chose the top sirloin and santa fe chicken. Top sirloin quality was amazing, but the star for me was the santa fe chicken. Its one of the best things Ive ever eaten. The prices are a bit more than what you might see at a standard market, but this place is like 3 levels above that. Excellent value!

I bought their bacon wrapped filets that are more tender & cheaper than grocery stores. Try their rib eye steaks and the marinades.

Went to the store this afternoon 5-8-2020 to purchase London broil. The sign in front of the London broil was posted at $5.79 per pound. Good price but upon weigh-in the price was put up as $7.99 per pound on the tag. Quite a jump from the time I ordered to the time it was wrapped and given to me for check-out. After pointing out the discrepancy the employee at checkout said only that she had no control of the price. I stated that they should change the price sign. She replied that they had no control over that. Pretty sad.

A little pricey, selection of meats adequate

I have been using this meat market for 7 years or so and until today have always received stellar service. The employee who help me was clearly new and struggling. There were others working but none tried to the employee with my order. I bought a large bulk plan as I normally do when I shop here. It took almost 30 minutes to pull the order. On a typical day shopping here, the employees have always helped me to bring out my order since I buy in bulk and have a small child with me, but today no help was offered. The store was cluttered today as well. I think I will be taking my business elsewhere from this point forward.

I have been going here for 5 years and have always had exceptional service. Many times I’ve asked advice on how to prepare something and been given in depth instructions. I try to get all my meat from ole timey. Forewarning if you try their duroc pork chops, you’ll never accept grocery store pork anymore

Best Butcher shop in Columbia! I wanted to Pork Crown Roast and Ole Timey Meats went out of their way to make sure they provided me with the perfect roast. It was absolutely delicious! I was so pleased with the service that I received from them today. Thank you so much!

Every single time I go in that door the experience is the same. It is perfect. Everyone in there is really kind and never judges me for not knowing. They guide me though whatever new cooking project I am taking on. Most recently, making bacon from start to finish. Thank you all for being such an awesome company.

Good quality, great scallops, but wish for more organic options. I made a mistake and originally posted that we were one short one pork chop--we were not! My son found it in the back of our freezer! How awesome to see the post below, within minutes of my original post! Great customer service!!

Their service and attention to the customer is over the top. They are always pleasant and are willing to go above and beyond to help you. I always have very prompt and friendly service when Im here. Theyre packages are always a great deal with a good selection of meat. They have also previously ordered Chilean sea bass for me, which I was not able to find anywhere else in columbia. Every experience I have had here has been great and I will certainly return in the future.

Cashier was very welcoming, pleasant and helpful. She was the most enjoyable part of my experience. However, I purchased a 5lb case of oxtails. The meat was not fresh whatsoever as expected. The 5 pound box consisted of pure bone and fat, no meat.

FRESH PRIME QUALITY MEATI bought 2 thick cut ribeye steaks cooked them on the grill seven minutes per side seasoned just a little salt pepper and garlic. Perfection!Absolutely delicious high quality beef. I had leftovers so seared them 2 minutes per side in the cast iron skillet with grilled onions. Still consistent melt-in-your mouth perfection.

This place is great! Fantastic and friendly service, accommodating and clean! I have a very sensitive nose and am a germaphobe so when I say it doesnt smell like a normal meat market, trust me, it doesnt, it is so clean and so nice. Not only that but they have been so helpful and so accommodating to the special needs I have had. There are meat stores closer to me but not the same, not as good, we drive almost an hour to come here, well worth it. Also, for dog breeders who feed raw, you cant beat this place for price and variety.

The meat I have bought here has been invariably good. The beef simply tastes better than at regular grocery stores. It is a bit more expensive, but if taste and quality matters to you, and you can afford it, go for it.

Very clean, but frankly the quality of the meat is not that much higher than a decent store. Ive gotten different information about the meat from different people on different days, which has made me decide to never go back. They simply do not know where their meat is coming from, or what it is being fed.And frankly, I feel like I was lied to the first time when they said their pork was pasture raised and local. Next time it was traditionally farmed.

My husband and I love everything we try. It is a treat for us to stop and get meat since we live out of town. The Sante Fe chicken is our new favorite thanks to the fellow that helped me out last Friday. Cant wait to come back, next time with a bigger cooler.

Finding turkey drums is kinda hard in South Carolina! Well they had some and Ive been to numerous places, I wish they had more but I like their meat selection the best so far.. 4 stars since I havent visited ALL the meat stores yet lol

What a great store. I found fresh from the farm meats for less than grocery store prices, cut by knowledgeable employees who asked how I was cooking the meat before they cut it and offered wine/spice suggestions to cook the meat with. Great neighborhood meat market.

Best meats in Columbia. I just moved to Rosewood a few months ago and Ole Timey Meat Market truly is a treasure. Very friendly staff. The owner is very knowledgeable and will take time to answer questions and help you make the right selections.

Sent my gal to get back or center cut beef ribs. She explained they were for grilling and instead was given a box of frozen short ribs. Ive just spent a half-hour trying to call them to no avail.A butcher who doesnt know the difference between a rack of ribs and short ribs? Who apparently doesnt care about their customers enough to sell them the proper cut for an event?Dont go here.

What a great store, great staff and great experience!!A few weeks ago I was tasked with doing a Low Country Boil for an annual buddies golf trip in NC. Most of the attendees were from up north and have never experienced this before. I went into the Rosewood store and told them that I was doing a boil, the number of people I had to feed, and my budget. I thought I would only be getting the meat there but I was wrong!! The owner told me not to worry and that she would take care of the entire meal! She actually gave me her own recipe, which was much better than mine, and put together a list to go along with the instructions she hand wrote for me. When I went to pick everything up I learned that the staff there had actually prepared and packaged everything for me! Alligator sausage all cut up, onions quartered, shrimp, and crawfish ready to go! They had even provided the spices and cocktail sauce. All I had to do was boil the water and follow her instructions. The meal turned out great with no leftovers!! To top it off she came in WAY under my budget!!All in all an incredible experience at Ole Timey Meat Market Rosewood!! I would recommend them to anybody and will continue to give them all the business I can!!

This store is the best place to buy traditional meat as well as not so typical meat products such as alligator or frog legs. Very fast service and the best quality of meat compared to any store Ive ever been in. This store is our default go to for any meat products we need.

The staff was very courteous and prompt. The owner is very knowledgeable about her products and helped me make a decision based on what I really needed versus advice from others. The dinner I was preparing turned out perfect thanks to the preparation and cooking advice I received. The quality of meat there is top notch and priced the same as chain stores. There is a Publix and a Wal-Mart right down the road from me but I will be returning to this store for all of my meat buying needs. Support your locally owned businesses!!

Avoid at all costs, called before to make sure they had goat meat and they had someone who didn’t even work there answer the phone. Drove 20 miles and guess who doesn’t have the meat they said they had. Waste.
