This is a one room wonder of a bookstore. The selection is vast and well curated with a juicy selection of new and used books. There is seating in the indoor mall just outside the door and it is conveniently close to a coffee shop. The staff is warm, engaging and helpful and play list is lovely. For book lovers this is a happy little slice of heaven.

What a wonderful book store! Its very quaint and the selection is pretty varied. Ive been dying for a local bookstore to shop from and this satisfies my desires! Its located in the Arcade Mall so, you can easily grab a book and a coffee from the local coffee shop, also in the mall, and sit at one of tables and read to your hearts desire!

Odd Bird Books is a delightful bookshop tucked away on Main Street in downtown Columbia. Despite its small size, the selection of both new and used books is excellent and spans many genres. There was even a discount rack in front of the shop when we visited.If you’re looking for something you don’t see, the owner will happily place an order so you can get it. It was clear from our discussion that he is invested in the business and cares about the books and the customers.If you’re looking to grab a book and sit and read for the afternoon, a deli and a coffee shop occupy neighboring spaces.We’ll definitely be back and recommend you don’t delay in visiting Odd Bird Books!

A wonderful little bookshop with both new and used books. The only such independent bookstore in Columbia, too. Theyve got a nice mix of literary mainstays (like Fitzgerald and Austen) plus contemporary fiction, as well as more obscure titles by the likes of NYRB and New Directions. Also has a nice little poetry section and a great selection of history books. If youre on a budget the used section offers a nice amount to choose from. Love that this place exists as an alternative to Barnes and Noble and Books a Million.

A great, small bookstore. You get the feeling that every book here is hand-selected to reflect what the owner likes, and he has good taste. I saw tons of books on the shelves that Ive already read (and loved), which is like an endorsement of the other book standing next to them. Ill definitely be coming here regularly.
