Took my son here for his 4th birthday and he had a ton of fun building his own animal. Also ended up getting the birthday bear that you pay your childs age for ($4 in this case). Great experience overall!

Great fun as usual. Lost a star because I didnt want to buy a box to carry the toy but they didnt give me a bag for it either.

After going here for many years I am extremely disappointed about how my teenager was treated. Her boyfriend took her there to surprise her and the staff members were extremely rude. Im assuming because they are teenagers (who are very well behaved I might add), but that is no excuse to treat any customer with attitude, to deny the build a bear experience, and then to top it off, hand her the bear with no box. Do better guys, extremely disappointing.

Big shout-out to the staff here! Theyre all incredibly kind and Im sure theyll make other visitors experiences as awesome as mine was. Staff were able to fix a bear I ordered online that had some stuffing and stitching issues, which was really sweet. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to help!

Not very many animals or options in stock. Store employees were very kind and patient. I would strongly recommend shopping on line for just the right new stuffed friend.

The kids enjoy it. The first time we went, we were treated like trash, the lady at the register was rude, and it was just an all out bad experience. The second time we went was not so bad. I guess your experience just depends on who they have working.

Drove up from pueblo to get a stuff animal for our son, website they are open to 8 PM. When my wife called lady on the phone said they open to 5:30PM. We drive all the way up over an hour for us, only to find out they have 3 different stuff animals and store staff was short and rude, 1st time experience with this business and will be our last, pretty sad, because my wife and I were really looking forward to trying this out

If I could write a lower score I would. My wife and child showed up at 4:00pm and the sign says the store closes at 5:00pm. However, the gates were already closed and there was 1 couple in the store and 3 associates. I asked if they closed at 4:00 instead of 5:00 and the lady was so rude and replied they are understaffed. I asked if we could just do ours quick since my daughter knew what she wanted and had been waiting for this. They shrugged and walked away. I have never been this frustrated. After looking at the reviews I’m not the first person to complain about the lousy customer service with this location. Management needs to look into training or upgrading staff.

24yrs old and first time ever stepping foot in a build a bear the one I wanted was out and the amazing lady let me have the display one! Just told me if I didn’t like the amount of stuffing to take it in over to the stuffing area for adjustment but he was perfect. Got a heartbeat and some cute cloths for him. Everyone was super nice in the store wish I had names but definitely would recommend! I couldn’t of been more satisfied with my very first experience.

The concept is good, and some of the staff was nice. I have two children, we wanted to take advantage of the 2 for $35 deal. As they intended, Im sure, the expensive toys were mixed with the deal toys, which turned into a fit and made me less happy to the there.I feel like this place relies on imagination - take the kids through the station, make the building of their toy seem special. I could see one woman was playing it up (I suspect she was the manager?) and doing a great job. Another woman, the one I was working with, did not sell it at all. She did not take my child to the various stations.On the up side, my children were pleased with their toys and my youngest still treasures his bear. Which is the important thing.

My kids love B.A.B. so i will give it 5 stars. Some of the staff could be more pleasant even with Covid restrictions. We always come masked and follow the 6 ft. rule. Stock has been especially low lately. I still take the kiddos though they love buying their babies outfits.

Could the people in this place be any slower? It takes forever to get in the store! The sign says the store has a capacity of 25, but they only let 10 to 12 people in. Obviously they cant count either. Will not return. Besides, you can get the same animals online already stuffed.

Didnt have matching outfits for the dolls available and didnt have dolls posted in windows for sale...but we made the best of it and got what we could for a fun experience anyways.

Dont go to this place unless you have more than 1 1/2 hrs for 2 stuffed animals, the lady stuffing the animals did not seem to like her job at all also rolled her eyes when my son dropped the heart and the cashier was the slowest cashier ive ever seen. Then had the audacity to walk away from the register after getting our email just to lock the doors, but was wondering around for 5mins trying to find whatever tool they use to close the doors. Like get me the hell outta this place ive been waiting over an hour just to get up here... 1st and last time I rather order online.

Gogru was finally acquired. Hes a silly little thing but oh so cute and mischievous just like a normal tot would be. Stuffies that appeal to almost everyone.

Staff was super friendly, prices are a little high but its a treat for the kids and its all about the experience.

Genuinely some of the rudest people I’ve ever met working there. If you hate your job so darn much, find somewhere else to work. You’d expect these people to at least ACT happy?! Bears are cute though, so two stars instead of one.

Customer service skills in the Colorado Springs store is zero. My advice learn how to talk to people before you work with kids. Would not recommend this store to anyone.

If I could leave a lower rating, I would. Terribly disappointed and dissatisfied with our experience and service. Before even walking into the store we were met with an associate at the entrance letting us know we could not go in due to the store having reached capacity and we would have to wait 15 minutes, which was absolutely fine and understandable. However, a few minutes later a group/family of over 10 members walked out and I quietly told my sister it shouldn’t be much longer since that group left and the associate walked back over to us and rudely interjected, they were still at capacity but she guessed it would be okay to allow us in. There was only 5 other people in the store at this point. There was no associate that asked if we needed help or had question and when it came time for my son to stuff his bear, the associate at that station was very impatient with my son and sounded annoyed but had a different tone with the family behind us. When we were checked out, the cashier felt need to state the price of what we asked for as if it would be a problem. Only one day of having the bear, the stitching where the bear is sewed came apart.

We were there for the birthday bear for my almost one year old, but my 7 year old helped him build it & they both had a lot of fun & enjoyed personalizing it. Well be back for my 7 year olds birthday in June to make him a bear 😁

Out of stock on alot of stuffed animals. Research sounds before you go because you cant hear them when your in store.

I was at the store today and both Whitney and Brandi were wonderful. They were great with the kids that were in the store and made me feel welcome and unashamed to be there without any kids buying for myself.

Went here for a birthday party for my daughter, made the reservation a month in advance. The lady who was supposed to be our host seemed like she hated her job and we were more of an inconvenience than anything else. She was rude to the kids, including getting mad at a 2 year old for not stepping on the pedal for long enough. Pretty terrible experience for the money we paid. It’s not even really a deal to do the party package. You get to choose a bear in 3 different colors or a rabbit. Pretty boring selection. I’ll never do another party at build a bear. Will never go back to this location either.

Took all.my.adult.children here and still have a blast!!!

My husband has a job that keeps him away from home for weeks at a time, and when he does come home it’s usually only for a day. We have 3 children...a 3 1/2 yo, 2 yo, and ~3 months old. Our two sons have had a very hard time adjusting to daddy not being home at night to tuck them in bed. So we thought it’d be a fun idea to take them and let them pick out special “daddy bears” for them to sleep with at night. The experience at the store itself was great—— my boys had fun picking out their bears, helping stuff them, putting in the heart (the young girl even let their daddy put a heart in each of the bears which I thought was so sweet), etc. My husband even did the voice box thing that lets you record yourself saying something and putting it in the bear. I think our total came to about $80, for just the two bears with the voice message...no little outfits or anything like that. Like I said, the experience at the store was wonderful. However, I am rather annoyed that we’ve had to stitch both bears back up multiple times. Not just on the seam that is stitched up in the store, but on random places. They get holes all over them. These bears are strictly bed time bears, so they aren’t even being played with during the day——just hugs and snuggles at night. I think it’s veeeerrrryyyy sad that these bears that are so expensive are so cheaply made. If it wasn’t for the fact that these are my boys special “daddy bears”, and that they cry if they can’t sleep with them, both bears would’ve been taken back. We’ve had them for less than 3 months.

This is two weekends in a row that we tried to come to your store. Second weekend we checked online to make sure you were open before we left our house only to be met by a temporarily closed sign. If you are going to close, take down your hours of operation of operation from your store windows and online.

Sales lady was very attentive. The store was clean and nicely sorted. We had a great time.

Two out of the three workers I interacted with were so rude and grumpy. They’re lucky at least one of their coworkers is sweet or they’d lose all their business. My bear is cute though.

As is typical with most Build-A-Bear stores, overall employee attitude is great, always willing to take extra time to aid you with whatever you may need, and always friendly to younger audiences.The selection isnt as impressive as other stores, but its nothing to scoff about, either. You can usually find what youre looking for - normal bears, themed products (Usually there are a fair few Frozen and My Little Pony ones), and quite a few outfits. I usually end up going for the ponies, and it appears that they almost always have the accessories for them. Id imagine its the same with pretty much every other bear in the store, although they may have to check in the back.The location is pretty much next to the food court, therefore its always nice to stop by and get something to munch on.Overall, its a great place to stop by when visiting the mall.

Rude staff. Not following one group at a time rules they have posted at the entry. Staff ignores you. Every station but the birth certificate one is closed.

This is the best place to take your kid, grandkid, niece, nephew, or whatever. My niece and I enjoyed picking out a bear, dressing it, and getting a birth certificate for it. Cost about 30.00 but she still has hers years later. Great investment

After waiting in line for 12 hours today, this staff was still friendly and helpful. I was so grateful they let our little ones get there bears even though it was really late! We made a lot of fun memories.

We had an amazing experience. The staff was wonderful. They even added more stuffing and redid our MLP so shed be stronger in roller skates. We had a gift card so we could completely hook one up. We went to every station and my daughter had so much fun. I thank the kind employees helping us first timers. They took every tag of as we dressed her. It was so amazing even I had fun! We are thinking of having our birthday there now! The woman working here had the best attitudes and hearts. A true Passion for kids.

Ive always liked Build-A-bear, but this time it was ridiculous. There was hardly no staff anywhere. It took asking multiple time to get some one to help, and then as we are about to leave, 3-4 workers walked out the back. The stuffed animal bins are disorganized. Hard to find many of the bears. I dont recommend this location. Ill be looking for a different one.

Im in my 20s and had always wanted to go to a BAB. My husband brought me in and let me go wild. Maria was FANTASTIC! I was scared I would be embarrassed, but she made me feel so comfortable and made it THE experience of a lifetime. Thank you ❤

As always, very welcoming and warm! They have a wide variety of selections and different installs (voice recordings, songs ect.) I purchased a first birthday bear with a song to it and my now 1yr wont stay away from it for more than 5 minutes! Prices are pretty good in my opinion. Just depends on how stylin or singin you want your forever friend to be.

The manager is always grumpy, my kids always feel like they cant even touch the stuff animals to choose. I have bought 3 furry friends but the stuff make me feel no welcome. Our visit is really unpleasant.

Took my girlfriend at the time and her sibling here years ago, and had a very fun experience. The way they treat it all and the little girl had her excited and bouncing around. Years later i take my new partner for kind of a childish date since she loves teddy bears, and i watch a very unenthusiastic go through the routine completely monotone with other customers. It was a shame to see. I dont think its that the staff is bad, they just seemed kind of burnt out on the whole thing.

We brought our 6 year old build-a-bear in to see about fixing/removing a voice recorded module inside the bears paw. We figured itd cost us but the lady there was super sweet and removed the stuffing and voice module free of charge, allowing us to replace the batteries ourselves (3 watch batteries) and wash the bear at home before bringing it back in to get re-stuffed. All this for free and with extremely friendly staff.

Always fun and we walked right up to the machine that makes it even better

Staff was not enthusiastic. Paying $30 for a teddy bear, is supposed to come with the experience of building the bear. The lady who helped us was rushed and monotone. I ended up feeling bad for my daughter because she was really excited for the experience. Lesson learned: could have had a lot more fun for the $50 we spent all together and probably could have bought a cooler bear too.

Poor selection

If youre planning a party here, please reconsider..... We scheduled my daughters birthday party through Build a Bears website. I expected the price to be in line with the $30 per person that the website states. Unfortunately, the party was closer to $40 per person, which wasnt expected (with 7 people, thats a big difference of $70!). We were supposed to receive a bag for our bears plus one outfit, which we were charged for. Then, upon checkout, I had to remind them that I had already paid a deposit! It was clear to me that nobody knew what was happening. The employee helping us never offered any games for the kids, nor did she seem very happy to be working with us. There were no party hats for us or the bears. The only special thing that my daughter got during the entire time was a song with a birthday cupcake.This was my first and last visit to BABW. We wont be spending any more money here. We werent even in the store for 45 minutes, a far cry from the 1-1.5 hours that the website suggests for parties! I suspect if we had played games, or even had an associate who was willing to be a bit more entertaining, we would have been there longer. She was SO dry!!!! It was the saddest, most pathetic birthday party weve ever had. I feel bad for my daughter and her friend. (And my checking account!) I wish we had spent our money eslewhere. Id have rather gone to see the Big Mouse again. We had 10 kids at last years party with the mouse and it didnt cost this much.

Never have we been to Build A Bear. Decided to go on pay your age day and was turned away for there was to many people. Have 7 angry upset kids. To later find out thru Facebook and the news that others were given a voucher to come back and get the same deal another day. Really upsetting. Wish they would have come thru for the kiddos.
