Dishonest, made an appointment to have A/c charged on a 1983 truck, no mention that it was to old to service (old style refrigerant). day of the appointment I asked you can do these old trucks? no problem. 10 minutes later after they drove the truck to the back and then back to parking area, charged me $160 and told me we cant work on these old systems, but will give you an estimate to update your system and we will put the $160 toward that cost. LIES over a month no estimate, they said they work on the old trucks but left out unless we have to do anything to the system. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO BEAR AUTOMOTIVE= Lies, Dishonesty

Dont get me wrong, the staff is great and very nice! There were just MAJOR hiccups last time we took our Tahoe in. After a couple thousand dollars our car was fixed. After we drove it home and to work the next day, we had the same issue! Then they took the car again for another week(I think they had our car for about 2 weeks in total, including weekend days). After another thousand dollars the problem we originally brought our car in for was fixed. I know that things happen, but it really sucked paying so much for what all we went through. I thought maybe they would help and give us a discount for all the issues, but ended up paying well over $3,000. Thank you for fixing our car, I really do appreciate it. Just wish there was a little give in the price of fixing our Tahoe.

Honest friendly service. Any vehicle issue I have had, has always been fixed right the first time. I have never been over charged here unlike some other places. I have had three different vehicles worked on and will continue to take my major repairs to Bear Automotive.

The most honest and professional mechanic shop I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I’ve needed everything done on my car from an engine replacement to new sway bars and they never disappoint! If you mention Angie’s List you also get a small discount. It’s not much but it can really add up depending on what you get done. Definitely recommend!

If you want a true Automotive shop that truly knows what they are doing then Bear Automotive is the shop to go to for the best quality work at a very fair reasonable price. I had what I thought was an oil leak coming from the back of the motor on my Toyota Camry and turned out it wasn’t an oil it was actually a leak in my power steering pump. They called me and also told me they had discovered I had a broken Axle and my front brake pads were low and replaced them and the calipers which were bad that wore out a brand pair of brake pads. I didn’t even know about these problems and they were amazing to go out of their way and fix them at a very reasonable price and not to mention they even did an oil change for me and replaced my battery which I didn’t know was bad. These guys are the absolute best. Thanks to the owner and Bear Automotive staff for treating customers like they should be treated.

The absolute best, most honest and reliable car repair shop youll find. After a number of dealers or Midas shops said we needed work, they checked the car out and confirmed that we didnt....and wouldnt charge for the check up. Saved us thousands of dollars over the years. And, for the work they dont do (e.g. windshield replacement) theyll refer you to another great professional.

They are are the most honest and dependable Auto repair dealers that we have ever dealt with. They put things on the estimates because of the possibility that they might be needed. If they arent then they are removed and they are not put on when not needed and the charges are removed. They stand behind their work 100%. Their facilities are clean and their personnel are friendly and honest.

I dont normally write reviews however the service here was so good I felt compelled to leave a review. This is a great shop! I brought in my fathers Buick Riviera that was running rough and having starting problems. They checked it out the same day I brought it in and turns out the transmission was done with. Cherie was awesome and explained that it wasnt worth fixing due to the fact it would cost more than its worth. I really appreciate that they didnt beat around the bush and told it to me straight. I will be bringing all my vehicles here. Its hard to find an honest shop these days that you can trust but these guys wont do you wrong.

Bear Automotive is the most honest and competent auto repair shop I have ever used. We have had many vehicles worked on by them and have always been treated professionally, with honesty, and have received competent work. They never do anything to a vehicle that it doesnt really need. I have recommended them to all of my friends and family members.

I was recommended to this repair shop by a friend from church. My mom had her 2000 Toyota Tundra towed there by my recommendation. They quoted her one price and then charged her significantly more. She had been quoted less by other repair shops as well and chose this one because they were supposed to be honest. They just saw an older woman and decided they could take advantage of her! Very shady and not Christian like at all!! Don’t take your vehicle here!!!!!!

If there were more than 5 stars I would use them. Professional service, they tell it like it is and never try to over sell, office staff is friendly and knowledgeable and on top of it all. Don and his crew are wonderful to work with and I would trust them with anything.

I cant count how many times I said I love you guys yesterday! First when you got me in the same day, then when your quote turned out to be less than you first thought. And again when you said my car would be ready the next day - but wait, then you called to say you were double checking what the problem was... and THEN (wait for it)... over and over again - when it turned out it was a quick fix and I could come get my car, it was fine!!!!Why would anyone go anywhere else! Youve taken care of me, my kids, my dad, for decades - I love you guys!

Extremely nice people, but they screwed up a repair on two different occasions, two different parts. And along they way they punctured an AC line I had to have replaced. Im still straightening out their errors 2 years later at a huge cost in time and money. Avoid and just go to the dealer if you want it done right.

Ive have nothing but positive things to report about Bear. Ive been taking our cars there for years. Just recently, I had taken my Chrysler to a Midas shop for an oil change. They reported that my radiator was cracked and needed replacement. I deferred, and instead took it to Bear. Don informed me that NO radiator replacement was needed, and the issue was a lose fitting. A new radiator would have cost me over $500.Bear is very ethical and thorough!

Ive taken my Expedition to Bear Automotive a few times and have always been very satisfied with their service and prices.

My experience here was not very rewarding to say the least. I brought my 94 jeep chrokee due to a recommendation. They told me I would get a discount because of the rec and that the diagnostic would be $100. I told them that I believe its my PCU (which I replaced with a used one of the same model and year) and that I changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, IAC and the battery so I just needed them to make sure they were working. I had to keep calling them for updates and they held onto the car for 9 days, just to tell me that they read an error for the PCU. They ended up charging me $160 to get my jeep back from them in the exact same state. They told me that was with the discount! It would have been $210 without it! Then they wanted another $750 to change the PCU that takes 10 min to install and are $250 when bought online. Where does the other $450 come from?!? Anyway I did not continue service.GO TO BEERS AUTOMOTIVE INSTEAD. they are on south Acadamy and charged me only $80 to tell me the same thing. They actually gave me a better deal then that but there normal price is $80 and then half that if you do the repair with them. They also only took 1 business day to tell me what they found.

They couldnt do the repair, so they referred me to a fried that could do the work. Very friendly.

I dont even know where to start. If you are looking for a honest, trustworthy, fast, and reliable shop for your vehicle THIS IS THE PLACE!!! Ive been battling this other shop down the street for about 2 weeks over some brake issues and its been nothing but a headache(only dealing with them as the prior owner of my truck had break work done so I had warrenty stuff replaced). Every time the other shop worked on my truck I took it over to Bear automotive and they looked over everything and told me exactly what wasnt installed correctly. Well after a couple back and fourth trips(because this other shop doesnt know what they are doing) Don finally had enough and took care of me. He would personally take a look at my truck every time I took it in and would even bring me back to show me exactly what was wrong. Ive NEVER had any other shop do that ever. I honestly dont know what I would have done without don, Cherie, and everyone working here.

After giving thousands of dollars to their company, items were stolen out of my truck because it was unlocked outside overnight, in their lot. They have me the run around for over a month only for them to very rudely tell me they were not going to do anything about it. They even accused me of stealing the items out of my own truck. Dishonest, worthless service.
