An excellent grocery store with reasonable prices. They have quality fresh product. I recommend their organic milk and eggs. The only thing they should improve is to have presence of all cashiers to decrease the wait time. They have around 4 or 5 counters but only two cashiers are active every time I visit. Other then that, it is a one stop shop.
Nice store. Great selection. Asked one employee that was working on the floor for help, extremely nice and helpful. Wish I remembered her name. Definitely going back for my grocery shopping.
This is a great place to market for anything edible. Foods from nations around the globe are especially delicious treats. The flower & garden section has a nice selection. Often, there are limited specialty items to consider in the same way. The staff, always, keeps store nice & ready. The smoke parking is a plus.
Wouldn’t accept my card, kept trying for over 20 minutes and nobody could figure out why, so I had to empty out the cart. Ended up going to another grocery store that took my card.
I go in to Lidl for a specific item- cheese which is the best price anywhere. This store was well stocked. Staff organizing cards outside. Several people at self check and noticed a Lidl employee there to help.
Unmasked customer in the store today, and not a single employee asked her to comply with the local mask mandate. I’m sure grocery store employees are totally burned out at this point, but if they aren’t willing to ask a customer to wear a mask for the safety of other customers and employees, then I’ll find somewhere else to shop.
I am so glad this came up. By all means here is a true report. I share my time between college Park MD and Winston Salem NC. The Lidls in NC is great. The one in College Park MD is managed badly. I understand its harder to keep control of everything in a college town... But the store is run sloppy and not a nice staff. I noticed the current workforce is very questionable. I am certain I am not the only one who came to this conclusion. Thank you for listening if you did
Sale started today & they were either out of sale items or very low on them. I usually visit on weekends and don’t have a problem but decided to visit during the week hoping for less of a crowd and we’ll it’s worse than 8am on a Saturday. I’m not saying I won’t return, I love Lidl, but they really need to work on restocking food items and not standing around talking about who did what & what’s happening at who’s house this weekend...
Great store but the self checkout is never open for some reason, always a 15 minute line to checkout
I do love our College Park LIDLs. Hubby was craving LIDLs blackberries the other day. I offered to make the run because my spirit needed some flowers to lift me up. I was wasnt disappointed.
First time I’ve been there people are very helpful
Although I wish I had a closer LidI. This is my closest, & I love this Lidl. I definitely believe you get good value from at least this Lidl.
Great in every way. Best grocery store ever.
Great prices, slightly limited selection, no deli department, but very good prices.
Great prices and good quality items but is always crowded with college students so watch out.
Shopped at Lidl in Germany. So happy to see them in the US. The stores here are bigger and better!
This is so far my preferred location as it is often easy to get in and get out and I will add I have a location that is closer to me that I bypass for this one.
This is an almost perfect place to get groceries.
Looking for a cross betweenWhole foods, Walmart & Aldi?,,,Lidl seems like itVery nice fresh vegetables and Fruits Section, even a small Clothing section, frozenTempura Shrimp and SpringRolls. Saw some KNORR Brand items,*(I Think they are related to ALDI but completely different companies. Says the internet)See pics
Nice store but do not sell cake mix. Unbelievable
Love this place. Super affordable, good variety of produce, can find neat stuff like drills or power washers or whatever. The store brand frozen pizza is less than $3 and pretty good
Always enjoy this grocery store. Go in early when they have best selection. prices are extremely reasonable. Quality of food is very good. Enjoy the different finds each week. I actually drive 10 mi to get to this grocery store because of how it operates.
Great store and very good prices to.
Lidl is truly my Favorite grocery store!! Not just food, rows and rows of bargains like the old fashioned Johns Bargain basement stores aka five and dime shopping!
This is by far...the Flagship Lidl in the DMV!!! Super big..very clean....everything you need under one roof!!!🤩🤩🤩
Good price, fresh product and pleasant staff
Lidl has excellent prices and a wide selection of foods. The bakery can compete with any other in-store bakery. Definitely try the croissants.
Very organized and clean. Found everything I wanted and more.
This has become our go-to grocery store! It has made us realize how unbelievably overpriced places like Safeway and Giant are. Its also really big and bright, so I overall enjoy the experience of shopping there. My only complaint is the produce that comes in single-use plastics (like two red bell peppers wrapped in plastic). I feel bad about that because its really wasteful. We do typically need to go to another store to get a few things we cant get here (like tempeh and usually cilantro) but overall we can get the majority of what we need here, and its so much more affordable than other places, so we love it!
Lidls a little quirky - they dont always have the same stuff from week to week, and you cant count on them to have staples. The prices are terrific, though, and theyre my go-to grocery store.
Great prices and friendly cashiers. I like that the store had an electronic sign indicating the capacity, pretty cool.
Clean, fresh and cheap.I do love to buy crossiant here.
Very large selection of food. Has variety of different ethnic foods, natural and organic food lines. Great deli, and precooked foods.
Ive been dreaming about a place where I can buy cheap and fresh bread. Here comes Lidl! Freshly made warm pastries for pocket change. They also sell German pretzels and super tasty, melt-in-your-mouth crossiants. The prices for other groceries are good as well, on par with Aldi, and far below what youd find at your larger grocery stores.
Cheap and great groceries!
Inexpensive, convenient and clean place to shop for a small or average size family, 0
If you want to compare prices, this store is a bit more pricy than Aldi. However pricy is not the right word since it is still super affordable. Glad to see they finally brought affordable groceries to College park. The store is super clean and it is my place to go for organic foods. Also their flower and plant selection is the best by far. The store is quality in all aspects.
Great location and customer service 👏
Great one stop grocery shop. Its got it all and is relatively inexpensive.
Very affordable groceries! It sells name brand products too!
I love the variety of foods you have there I look forward to it every trip
Meat refrigerators were out and warm, the chicken smelled spoiled and they didnt stop selling it.
The best of all the LIDLs in MoCo
Clean, wider aisles than Aldi. Inexpensive, and interesting nonfood items.
Clean and an excellent value... Trust me. 👍🏽
The price is wonderful, the employees none of them work you have boxes all over the store and they be talking to each other and not working....the self check out is closed....the store is going down they need new Manger.
This place is good and not expensive like other similar places. It would give 5 stars if they had more varities of vegetables and fruits.
Love the people here. I did grocery deliveries for awhile. I had so many question that the manager stopped everything to help me at least 5-10 minutes.
My go to grocery store. Limited in product variety but makes up in cheap prices
They have product on shelf they cant sell there not like fairwood location customer service not good
Love this store. Everything is fresh and the prices are good.
Good prices and quality food
Wonderful store, their policys are up to standards and they still consistently monitor cleaning and amounts of people coming in and out of the store. Respect is to be had to the people that work hard at this location. Always have great deals, staff are extremely professional and nice. I was there at 11am 9/04/20 at terminal 006. My lovely helper at the register was kind and caring, handled my grocerys with care and was speedy. Thanks alot! (Dont have her name as their receipts dont print names of who checked you out)
You get almost everything here. Specially groceries and fruits.
Their bakery is fun
If you need some plant for your garden cheap place same tree and flowers from home depot and lowes this is low price thank you lidl for rolling in DMV area
The best grocery store. Great service and super low prices.
Exciting and different style of grocery store now open in College Park MD. Wonderful prices on items. Always less than any store nearby except Aldi but often better quality. Like Aldi, the selection is limited to just one or two types of each item, but really, do you need to see 10 brands of diced tomatoes if the two available are both of excellent quality? Stores are bright and open, Ive shopped at the Bowie location too but CP is closer to my home. Produce is of better quality than the larger chains and less expensive. Great bakery too. Unusual non-grocery store items at deep discounts make this place a one stop for many things - from hardware, to toys, to clothing, to small appliances. Great service too and friendly employees. Pet Peeves: prices are listed on cards ABOVE the items, not on the edge of the shelves below the product like most stores; some special sale items are not located near similar items. Remember: bring your own bags, you can buy bags there but youll need to bag items yourself. Unlike Aldi, the bagging process is done right at the register on convenient belts. Aldis bagging area/process always annoys me!u
The bakery is excellent fresh and affordable prices. I hope they can have cakes too but in French way.
For me one of the best places to buy, but this time I did not find what I was looking for. Maybe next time 🙂
Love this store.
I went shortly after they opened so there were fewer people in the store. They were doing a lot of restocking the shelves, but I got everything I needed and got through quickly.
Good store with some really good bargain finds
As long as I have shopped here, this store has always been very clean and organized and has put in proper steps to ensure a safe shopping experience. There is someone at the door, who provides sanitizing wipes and spray to clean your carts and masks are enforced. The produce selection and quality is pretty decent and the prices are quite fair. Plenty of parking at no charge. The best times to shop is Mon-Friday, as early in the day as possible. If you decide to shop during the weekends, know that the store is crowded; so shoot for the early mornings. Enjoy!!
Great products and a great new supermarket
Great prices, friendly staff, and a pleasant atmosphere!
New, clean, easy parking. Good prices and they have pretty much everything I want
Last night, less than 70 hours ago (my receipt shows 828 pm Monday March 16 2020) I went to the College Park Maryland Lidl to get a few food grocery food items to hold my husband and I for at least a few days or longer: some salmon, sliced fresh bread from the bakery, mashed potatoes etc. The good, the food that I got was reasonably priced and I got through the waiting line pretty quickly, the cashier who processed my order was friendly. However, the caveat is that I am lucky to have got some of the food when I did because for instance by the time I got the bakery bread, I noticed that I grabbed one of the few bakery bread items left and I got refrigerated prepared mashed potatoes because by the time I got to the store even the bagged potatoes looked to be snapped up. However, I also understand that I have to take into account that I walked into the store around the night time timeframe and in the midst of the cov-id19 epidemic. Aside from those caveats, I intend to still come back to this College Park Lidl’s in the future because of both the price of the items and the quality of the food items that are available. I paid for the grocery items with money from my own banking account though I do keep an open mind to both paid writers professional reviewers and those who are amateur reviewers writers.
Great products and prices.
Nice store. Great produce and interesting variety of foods throughout the store. Somewhat like an Aldi. I got some great Bavarian pretzels in the bakery area on my last visit. Unfortunately, they put them in a plastic clamshell container instead of a breathable paper bag. Not a good move for a salted pretzel. Still they were very good. The apple cider is also very good.
The store would get 4 stars, but the people who work there 0 stars, super rude, they look unhappy and god forbid you try to ask them something, they give you a bad attitude. The store manager should hire people who actually want to work and provide people with good customer services or at least just be polite. Hire different ethnicities.
Nice place to shop for bakeries. While the store is staffed with people that dont say hi or at least smile as a greeting and probably not performing their jobs the best(I had to start the exit door myself today because no one did it and no one was there), one person stands out and I would say is better that some managers. His name is Q(Quince I believe). Aug 12, he was picking up the trash outside in the morning. Aug 11 he was in charge managing the self check-out (at least he approached me there while checking out in the morning). He is a hard working person, personable and professional. There was an issue that he explained professionally even though I was confused why would that issue be. Upon checking my bank account I saw he is right and was amazed by his attitude and way of handling the situation. Q deserves a raise for sure. I can easily say he is the most hard working person there since I see him doing his job almost every morning for about 2-3 weeks now.
Lidl is a low cost grocery store. Similar to aldi, everything is very cheap! Drawbacks: limited selection and sometimes out of stock of certain things.
I think this is my favorite new low-cost grocery store. Clean and laid out well.
Great prices great selection, but I must say the people that work there are very rude. Most of the time they never said anything not even...good day. I was really unhappy when one employee was yelling at me I guess she thought I didn’t speak English and she was yelling at me. I didn’t want to start any conflict. I treat everyone with respect and expect the same from others.
I love Lidl!!!! I go for my basics. It doesn’t have everything I need but it does have my essientials for grocery shopping. I don’t appreciate how the store is always out of the cheaper bags. And the rewards can be better for the app.
The selection of produce, cheese, breads, meats, and specials are excellent. Today I tried something new a coconut macaroons candy bar from Germany. It is superb. The staff are helpful and knowledge about their products. The physical distancing is followed by most people in the shop.
Ive been looking forward to it. Showing up on opening day, the store didnt disappoint. It brings all the best design elements from German counterpart and the price is reasonable. Will definitely come back
Loved this place! Nice selection at great prices. Very clean and organized also.
I love this place and the workers! Besides the great prices, this place is always clean, they have friendly staff, adequate parking, the store is well stocked and is very well organized no matter what time I go in to shop. In fact, I seldom go any place else to shop for groceries and now other items. This place is highly recommended
Lidl has items you would not see in any other grocery store and you can see varying items almost every week! Be there on Wednesdays when they have newest inventory.
Store is always neat and clean. Check out is quick. Pleasant customer service.
By far it is one of my favorite grocery stores. You can find anything at a very good price. Very clean and high quality products.
Great prices, nice selection, specialty non grocery as well. This location is new and well designed. Parking, bus accessible, safe location. Sanitizer and wipes are at the entrance for COVID. I recommend!!
Best prices of any grocery store in college park.
Love this store, high quality store brand products, low prices, and you can even do a little bit of One Stop Shopping as they sell clothes and toys here too...Pricing is awesome, products are high in quality, and they even offer a rebate, and coupon program, as well, on a very convenient app! Give it a try, you wont be disappointed! Side note, it is BYOB....Bring your own bag, this is one way they cut costs to pass it along to the customer!
Favorite grocery store. Such a great packaging of the products and high quality!P.S. However one of the managers is a pretty rude lady. I hope that their employees love to work there as much as customers love to shop
If you go early its pretty quick getting in and out. Great place for basic food necessities, and interesting finds. Good prices, and while most people wont find everything they want there what they have is good quality.
Great prices and good variety on standard products as well as organic. Enjoyed the experience as the European flair of food and household items brought back memories of shopping in Germany. Was very busy for a Sunday afternoon; our cashier helped to keep the line moving only sacrificing courtesy. Quoting a friend, Its nice to be nice!
Great prices, excellent employees
Great place to shop good prices on groceries
Very interesting place. Made me miss my time I lived in europe
