Came in today at around 1:40pm for gas, and went into the gas station food mart for masks for my family before heading to airport. The young lady with the forearm tattoo (did not catch the name, this reason for details) was extremely helpful and kind: superb customer service skills and an asset to the company. Can’t thank you enough! Much appreciated!
I went to Chevron to Chevron at 405 N Clovis Ave, Clovis, CA 93612. get my propane tanks filled up. I took out my empty propane gas tanks and left them on the raised curb on the side of the propane tank plate from where they fill up the gas. I went inside and talked to the cashier, and she said someone will come out and fill up the propane tanks. While I was waiting there, a white man with a small beard from Chevron came out to my car and told me I need to put the empty tanks on the platform for which he’ll fill the gas. I put both tanks them on the platform, and I told him I think it’s his job to fill up the propane tanks and leave it on the curb so I can put it back in the car. He got upset and refused to fill up the tanks. I think it’s highly unprofessional and unhospitable an employee of Chevron would behave like that and refuse to provide the services I asked for. I have horrible back problems, and this have never happened to me before. I believe it is against the ADA to not accommodate those with chronic physical issues, and instead of helping me, he refused services. I think Chevron should make it clear to the gas stations that the customer duty is only to take the empty tanks out and leave it on the curb to be filled up. This should be policy of the Chevron to post it clearly that this is the only customer responsibility, and it is the employee’s responsibility to pick it up the curb, fill it, and bring it back so the customer can bring it back into their vehicle. Normally in other places, they are courteous enough to even take the tanks out of the vehicle, fill it up, and put it back. Frankly, I just want you to understand you lost a customer who has been a regular of Chevron for 15 years.
The guy there said that he needed to see my ID, which was fine, until he said that they scan every ID and the machine forces him to scan it. I used to work at Johnny Quik too, dude, no you dont. Dont lie. If you want to see my ID, just tell me you dont think Im over 21. Dont lie by saying the machine needs to scan my ID.
Filled up with fuel here and wanted to go inside and use the restroom. The manager informed me that the restroom has been closed for over a year due to Covid. Over a year and they won’t allow paying customers to use the bathroom even though Covid has is 99.99 plus percent survival rate, the vaccine is out, and every other gas station in town allows you to use the restroom. I Will never buy fuel here again. Total communist run this Chevron. I will not support a company like like this.
Brought a mostly empty 5 gallon propane tank to have filled. Once the tank reached 4.6 gallons it started fogging and the Trainee (that is what is said on his name tag) turned off the valve and the low and behold it ended up registering another .7 gallons. He said that was odd and I thought so to myself as well. He relayed the same information to his fellow employee (I failed to get his name) . I assumed that he as going to adjust for an obvious malfunction of some sort. However, when I asked how much he was charging me for, he indicated 5.3 gallons, because that is what the machine said was pumped into the tanks. I told him, that that was physically impossible to put 5.3 gallons into my tank as it is only a 5 gallon tank and in fact it had not been completely purged prior to filling so it should have only taken the 4.6 as Trainee had indicated. He still insisted that it would be able to fit. I asked him o explain how and he could not explain. I asked him if he would be able to fit a square peg into a round hole. He said the he could, be cause he would force it. Go figure... Regardless, there was a line forming behind me and it was nonsense that he was insisting that I pay so I told him that he need to call the manager to at least get and authorization to reduce the charge to a maximum of 5 gallons. At least the manage gave that much of a concession. Regardless, they are ripping you off by charging you for propane that you are not getting. $4.95 per gallon is is a very profitable ripoff. Unfortunately, they do not give you the options of leaving negative stars.
Denied entry Because of my my medical condition. I was told by staff that they could assist me outside.... I will be filing a complaint with the ADA and Chevron.... Gary if you are the owner as I was advised you should be aware of a lawsuit that you could end up in as well as a fine from the state..... Your violating laws. WHICH BY THE WAY WEARING A MASK OS NOT LAW... THE GOVERNOR HAS MO AUTHORITY TO PUT THAT INTO A LAW... YOU SHOULD EDUCATE YOURSELF SINCE YOUR A BUSINESS OWNER
This communist chevron needs to.
This morning around 11 am the older guy working the register called me an asshole because of the way I sat my license down on the table then he followed me outside and harrased me all the way back to my truck yelling at me like a child calling me names because I told him I wouldnt give him my service after the name he called me horrible names...Then why im driving away hes still waving at me to come back over to him like a crazy person. I absolutely cannot believe he just has no problem calling a customer an asshole because I didnt hand him my license personally and sat it on the table. Give your money and service to any other gas station but here. They dont deserve customer after the way they treat people. Even the lady that was working next to him had a look on her face like wow did you really just call a customer an asshole... smh horrible example of a good business.
Used my debit card to put in gas and didnt even get a mile! Told the cashier and she just said well maybe i didnt get charged for it? Obviously I did, its charged to my card. She suggested putting more money? Is there a number or something we can call? I see that Im not the only customer whos had this problem..
They have the best 5 hour energy shot deal. Buy one get one free for $3.99 ever since I have gone there the deal have been there to help me get through the day. Also, they have other random deals that I get too.
Dave refuses to wipe down the pin pad and the coffee machine! I will never go back, I’m a life long Clovis resident!!!!
Convenient location, service is good.
I go to this station frequently and the service is always good at the counter.
Got gas and the first 3$ had absolutely nothing coming out!!!! Was still charged for it.
Rude staff! Their alcohol sales stop at 12:00am! State law is 2:00am? If I could give zero stars I would! I was there one night, their register time even said 12:00 they said they couldnt sell me beer!!! The total was rang up, I even offered them the cash, they could of rang up next morning? Needless to say I havent been back!!!
The big sign advertising shows one price, but when you start pumping it’s .20 higher. The price advertised is with a car wash. It’s a little deceptive.
Car wash left streaks on my windowsTheir gas burned real fast in my carAnd i didnt get the gas discount after I paid for the car washBut I had to try it, the lure of a fuel discount after a carwash got me..But I Wont do it again
Lazy employees lock the front door so that they don’t have to serve customers. I can see them on their phones at the counter.
Just say an old man that must have been 80 plus years old get hassled for his birth date for a pack of cigarettes, then they got the pump wrong for my .20cents discount for buying a carwash with my gas. Once they got the right pump I was givin gas at wrong rate and has to get a refund..
Car Wash is garbage. Tried to get the discount for gas with car wash but they didnt. Never coming back here again.
