Ive been working on my BBQ technique for quite a while. One of my biggest frustrations over the years has been finding a reliable butcher that consistently can provide what I am looking for, and of the highest quality. If you start with a bad piece of meat, no amount of magic is going to produce a good piece of meat regardless of how long you have been doing it. When I order here I know I am always giving myself the best chance of success of giving my friends and family the best BBQ I can make. I have had nothing but positive experiences at Mr. Brisket, and highly recommend them! Brisket! Ribs! Short Ribs! Chicken! Homemade Brats! Pulled Pork! Everything is amazing. If you have had the same trouble I have had, this place is absolutely the solution. They also deliver! Cant recommend enough.

Have had a good experience here was able to get a good priced brisket and good quality.My recent visit I was somewhat confused, they were only willing to selling me a 13lb brisket (I do understand it is vacuum sealed) but I would think a butcher would be willing to cut down the piece to 7-8 lbs to better accommodate my needs. They did not, so I decided to go somewhere else. Will return just thought this was an odd experience.

5 star burgers! Best burgers I have ever had and this assessment is compared to high end restaurants who are known to have an amazing burger. Make sure to pair it with a brioche bun and some delicious crunchy pickles!

One of the only places I know of where you can buy brisket points. Picked up a half dozen last weekend with some American Waygu Ribeyes and a Tri-Tip. Two of the points got smoked and turned into burnt ends and they were absolutely fantastic! The points are untrimmed so there is a lot of waste but they are priced accordingly which is more than fair if you ask me.I smoked the tri-tip last night for dinner and holy delicious it was so incredibly juicy. The photo of it is after 15 minutes resting wrapped in butcher paper. My only regret is that I only purchased one! I havent cooked a ribeye yet but there is no doubt it will be equally delicious, I mean just look at that marbling!

5 stars. Hank treated my brother and me like royalty. I got the big sandwich and he got the regular. Mine was gone in record time. My brother ate half; Im gonna steal the other half later. Meat was hot,moist,and tasty. What more could you ask for?

There really isnt much to say about this place other than what most of you dont already know. That is that their food is so amazing and so delicious. Im a truck driver and I was delivering product to one of their neighboring businesses and I decided to stop in and try their food and any time that I come back to Cleveland I will be stopping here for lunch and getting their brisket sandwich again. If you ever come through Cleveland I recommend going here to mister brisket.

Worst customer service! While grieving the loss of my brother, I called asking about prepared foods so that I can get something for my parents. A simple question and I got nothing but a rude person on the phone complaining about people always show up at their business trying to buy things right away and I needed to start the conversation over because he wasn’t going to give me what ever I wanted today. This place lost a local customer who heard great reviews from fellow neighbors who suggested I call and ask. I’ll be sure to tell them about my experience and never spend a dime there.

Great place fo a delicious pastrami sandwich. Previously a small, hole in the wall, take-out place ... but they have added 6-7 tables in the back.

This is the ONLY butcher shop I will ever turn to. Ive bought both prime and Wagyu packers from Mister Brisket and starting with a quality product is the most important step to great barbecue.

Worst Corned Beef sandwich I ever had! I knew I was in for a bad lunch when I heard the microwave door close to heat up my sandwich! Meat was chewy and had absolutely no taste! There was more mustard and horseradish on my sandwich than meat! Hard to believe this place is a Cleveland Heights staple.

Mister Brisket saved my poorly-planned holiday meal. Awesome cut of meat, well trimmed and prepared. I was a first-time customer, but will definitely be back!

Delicious. Tried 3 sandwiches (the corned beef, turkey and brisket) macaroni salad and cole slaw. Everything was delicious. Everyone was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back and will bring friends.

This place looks absolutely nothing like the pictures. Though nice enough rhe owner did not use a register to ring me up, nor did he cut the meat in front of me so I could see what I was getting and to see what the weight I was paying for actually was. So I really have no idea exactly what I got. I really depending on the fact that this place has. 4.9 rating and hoping everything will be ok with my dinner. I was super excited but very disappointed.

My family and I always prefer a place operated by independent owners. Mr.Brisket is an eaters paradise. You do get what you pay for from walk in take out, to sit down and relax. I have not had them cater anything but one day I hope to. If you want a great sandwich stop in and be prepared to savor quality.

Yes, Melt is across the street. So what? I’m eating a pastrami sandwich that is somewhere between one of the best sandwiches in Ohio and an outright religious experience. Food is fast, service is great. Prices reasonable, shockingly so when you consider what you get. Did I mention I drove 50 miles to come here for my meat at arguably the most consistently good source for top end meat in NE Ohio? Not your average deli and butcher and if you’ve not been, you’ve not lived. Just bring your Lipitor as you’ll need it.

Outstanding corned beef and pastrami! Certainly the best I’ve had in Cleveland. The pickles are crisp and refreshing, and the brownies are rich and tasty :)The gentleman at the counter was very pleasant and professional, cooperative with all my questions!:P

Fantastic food and service. This multi-generational family business supplies the restaurant industry, civilians and sandwich craving walk-ins alike (but call first for a meat order!). They also do a healthy shipping business across the country, and even internationalyl to support our troops abroad. The folks in the shop are smart and fun. But most important - their quality is the best. Period.

I have lived in Austin for about the last 20 years and while I have come to love Texas BBQ the chopped BBQ brisket sandwich at mr. Brisket was far more to my liking. And as it comes to the pickle that came with the sandwich comparing that to the pickles used in Texas, as it has been well said before.....forget about. Thanks Hank and Mister Brisket for a serious Cleveland delight.

We love Mr. Brisket!! He really came through for us on Passover, bought a beautiful 20 pound Turkey and a brisket. I brined and smoked the Turkey and that came out great, I unfortunately had a brisket emergency, all my doing. It was 3:30 and I was in a panic, people would arrive at 6pm. My wise husband said call Mr. Brisket, thankfully we were able to buy 3 lbs of beautifully cooked brisket with gravy, you saved our Sedar. As a side note, my brisket actually came out okay, my gravy had disappeared but still very tasty.

I cannot speak for the quality of the food, but if you are going to have business hours on Tuesdays from 9am to 5pm and at 4:25pm on a Tuesday, the Open sign is illuminated, the door says you are open until 5:00pm, and the front door is locked, maybe the hours of operation need some fine tuning. This seems to be a common theme these days where businesses post certain hours and do not adhere to them. Quite frankly, I do not care how good the food is; I will not waste my time and play guessing games to figure out when I can get the product that I think I want to purchase. I will pass on this business in the future, regardless of how good the food is supposed to be.

I had never had a pastrami sandwich before so I decided to try mister brisket I found it on my google it was the most delicious sandwich deli sandwich I had ever had. I later the next year wanted to try another 1 so I went downtown and try to pastrami sandwich in and no way compared to the sandwich I had at mister brisket so I couldnt remember where was for the life of me until I drove past it 1 day and I went and got me and my fiance a pastrami sandwich and its like biting into heaven I will never get a pastrami sandwich from anywhere else in Cleveland this is the best place to have a pastrami sandwich and I would recommend it to everyone to the end of the world when they come to Cleveland to go to Mister brisket in University Square on South Taylor Road it is a cup cake shot right next to it that is absolutely fan tastic It cant get no better I love my city

Ordered 4 sandwiches and all of them were really fatty. Maybe it was just a bad section of the meat but we ended up throwing most of it. I’ll stick with slymans

I just shopped there for the first time and Im wondering why I havent tried it sooner, especially since the store is a neighborhood business. I bought a gift certificate for my son-in-law whos been raving about the meat he buys there. I also bought an extremely delicious, hot reuben sandwich. The people that work there are very pleasant and Ill be back!

Winona friend referred me to you. A preface...my gal friend is a chef. Grilled your 2 ribeye on the Green Egg last night at high temp. Took about eight minutes to med rare. When she tasted your product...loved the look on her face... Me too...absolutely the best ribeye weve ever had... Served with a cuke salad and sweet corn...yummmm!!! Cant wait to do your brisket for my kids when they come home in two weeks. Thinking Im going to move from Minnesota to next door to your shop.... WOW!!!!

Mr. Brisket is my favorite reuben deli. Ive been to Katzs in New York, but I like Mr. Brisket better, because you can get a reuben with half pastrami and half corned beef. They also toast their reubens, which is nice. Their meat is one of the tastiest Ive ever had.
