Had to remove all laminate floor due to flood. The quality of work was exceptional. Frank the installer did a fantastic job. Greg in the office kept me informed as to schedule changes. Could not be happier with floor that was done.

From the very beginning, I was led to believe installers were employees of Floor Depot. In fact, I specifically asked the question. They were, in fact, a company hired by Floor Depot which might explain the dissatisfaction.Floor Depot provided no supervision of said ‘company for hire’. Because I was told workers were employees of Floor Depot, I made my issues known to the supervisor. The supervisor was ineffective in communicating with workers. The super would come in and I would tell him the problems that needed to be addressed (workers did not speak enough English to explain to them) — some things got done but mostly the super had to tell them again the next day. A punch list, or text with the ‘to do’ list would have been more effective than rattling off six things and leaving. The vents finally were covered the last day and not properly. Covering vents seems to be a pretty basic prep for a dusty job.Workers had inadequate safety equipment (major dust from tile tear out). Sometimes workers wore no breathing protection and sometimes wore a surgical mask — totally inadequate. The equipment they used appeared to be inadequate.Supervisor also said he worked for FD, implying he was on FD payroll . If I had known I would have called FD throughout the process when problems occurred.When I did talk to FD after the job was finished to express dissatisfaction, I found out workers were not FD employees. FD has a whole file cabinet filled with folders of companies they use for jobs.There were a few issues I wanted FD to come look at (wrong molding used in bath, gaps under all door ways, and I generally felt they should be interested in seeing what kind of job their ‘company for hire’ did.) And they said they would call and schedule a time but that hasn’t happened.FD just takes whatever invoice their ‘company for hire’ hands them without any kind of verification and passes on to the customer.FD tacked on $1600 to remove cork which was attached to the tile/cement. That was an additional 18%. How could they not know cork was involved as it was a condo and most condos associations require that. Seems like the contract reads in such a way that FD will find something to charge you for after the fact.FD did not inform me of what I should do to prepare for the job and therefore everything in the condo was covered in dust. I was told to move small items, which I did. The furniture was covered but inadequately. Every closet, cabinet, cupboard and everything in them had to be removed and cleaned — that was every room in the condo but guest bedroom (which I sealed off).This isn’t my first rodeo, but by far the worst project as far as management, oversight, execution, follow up, and honesty.On a positive note, the workers were really hard workers and conscientious. I brought them treats everyday and tipped them well.

We had our lanai enclosed and had carpeting taken up and tile that looks like wood installed. We used Floor Depot before to have carpet installed and they did a wonderful job then, so we decided to have them do the lanai.The job they did was perfect! It was a small lanai and not easy to work in but they had no problems. When we need them again, we will not hesitate to call. Thanks!

We had tile and bamboo removed from 75% of our 2000 SF house. The people who removed the flooring were great. They covered pictures and wall hangings to reduce the dust.They hauled it all away too.The tile installers were wonderful. The floor looks wonderful. We had one small issue in our living room that the tile didn’t meet the carpeting. They came back the same day to fix it and now it’s perfect.You may want to get an estimate on the floor leveling as we didn’t expect that additional cost. But their prices were still very good.All were very professional and I would highly recommend them. Adam, Frank and Peter were great! Thank you for a beautiful floor!!

These guys are great and I wouldnt hesitate to use them again. Because of remodeling delays I changed the schedule multiple times and they had to do the work in two segments because of other issues. They were terrific to deal with and accommodated my schedule without hesitation or complaint. The installers did an excellent job and made a couple of recommendations that I would have overlooked. Their prices were good and the customer service was outstanding.

We recently re-did the flooring in 4 of our rooms. We went a few other places to shop for tile and carpet – but knew instantly upon going to Floor Depot that this was the place to go. The manager, Greg, took us though many options we had available to us. He was really (and I mean REALLY) knowledgeable about all types flooring. He sent us home with multiple samples so we could decide how the carpets, tile and hardwood floor would really look in our home. That made our choices so easy. We selected carpet for our main living area and for our Master bedroom as well. We chose a tile for another room and Brazilian Cherrywood for our dining room . They all came out beautiful. All 3 of the installation teams who did the work did amazing work – they are true craftsmen. They were courteous, clean, and mega-competent. The work was exceptional. And the prices for everything were quite reasonable. I will only work with Floor Depot for all our future – and highly recommend that you do too. They are top pros for certain!

I had a small floor repair job, and received GREAT customer service. I was told what it would cost, we scheduled a date, the workers arrived on time, did the repair, and explained care instructions. Their customer service and worker skills are remarkable. If ever I need work on a floor, or a new floor, this would be my first stop.

We recently had our floors and baseboards replaced by the Floor Depot in Dunedin. It was a significant job as we occupied our house during the installation and our furniture had to be moved several times. A large portion of the flooring was installed over existing tile which needed to be leveled and ramped in multiple locations to transition properly from room to room.It was a great experience dealing with Michael the Owner, JP the Sales Manager, and most of all the Installation Team. We were totally impressed with the quality of the installation and workmanship of Joey, John, James, and Tommy. They are very skilled installers, friendly, considerate, easy to work with, and moved our furniture with care during the installation process.I never write reviews because I expect a fair price and a quality job but my wife and I are so pleased with the installation of our new floors that we wanted to share our experience. Start to finish, Floor Depot did a great job.

In late July, early August, we used Floor Depot to replace all our downstairs flooring and baseboards. It used to be old carpet and plain white builders grade tile. Its now TOTALLY amazing with wood tile in every room - about 1,800 sq ft. with beautiful new 5 1/2 baseboards. We liked that we could simply go to Floor Depot, pick out the wood look porcelain tile, have them come measure our floors and they took care of the rest. Their guys are employees, not contractors, which we liked and was part of the reason we choose them to do the job. We didnt want to have to chase down a subcontractor if they turned out to be unreliable. Floor Depot set the schedule and the guys showed up on-time every single day for 2 weeks (it was a very big job!) The painful process of tearing out the old stuff (you really need to move everything out of every place that dust will settle - you will have dust EVERYWHERE) and laying the new while we were living there was no fun, but the end result after the 2 weeks was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Our home is transformed downstairs and we absolutely love it! Frank and Justin were super friendly and helpful and most importantly, did terrific work. It was very easy to have them in our home.Its now December and we are still amazed at how good everything looks. Our home has never looked better.AND THEN, we went back to Floor Depot to re-carpet our upstairs in late December. They just finished yesterday! Again, they have employees and we didnt have to worry about finding a carpet sub contractor. The upstairs is 1,800 sq. ft. This time it only took 2 days but we literally had to box up almost everything, especially closet floors, so that Jack and Jim could move the beds and dressers and desks, etc. It went very smoothly and were thrilled with the carpet. I picked a 100% Triexta fiber carpet from Mohawk. I needed to keep the price down so we didnt go with a super plush carpet but one that would work well in high traffic areas like the stairs and hall. We have 2 big dogs and a cat so we needed one that would wear well and clean well. It looks great and with the upgraded pad that Floor Deport uses and it feels great too! Were still putting our upstairs back together but the painful process is so worth the beautiful result. You wont go wrong having Floor Depot lay whatever floor you need.

Dave and Tommy did an amazing job on continuing the wood floor from the rest of house into our master bedroom. They were able to match the same plank to the rest of floor installed by them 6 years ago. We could not be happier with it. Highly recommend.

If you thought that a flooring store, that was in a storefront that looked like it was out of a third world country, would provide better price and service than one of the large good looking national chains -- WELL, you are wrong. Over the past ten years I have tried to obtain a decent experience and estimate from Michaels Floor Depot for my house. The first time was for carpeting for four large rooms - over 1200 sf. The second time was for 2,000 sf of hardwood. And this most recent time was for a mere 65 sf vinyl plank purchase and install. NOPE. These guys provided the worst cost than numerous other providers.Received a quote within 2 hours, by e-mail, after the installer looked at the job that put the install at $12/sf. $300 of product and $700 for install for 65sf of locking vinyl. Crazy. Asked for the detail of how this figure was calculated and what I received was RADIO SILENCE. Please just tell me that you dont want a small job (they didnt want the big jobs either as you can see) but dont just ignore my question.If you think that you will get a fair deal from a place that looks like it should be knocked down, think again. Move on, you wont get what you were looking for!

We were happy with Gregs estimate and suggestions. Michael and his helper did a superb job on the tile removal, LVP installation and clean up, going above and beyond the expected. Jack and Jim then installed the carpet, expertly, efficiently and on time. Excellent work, quality materials and good price!

To whom it may concern,We finally decided to replace our floors. We heard good things about Floor Depot from several neighbors and checked them out. They came in and measured while my wife brought home samples off and on again for months. The staff was amazingly patient while we made our decision. They estimated the install would take about a week and we agreed on a price. In fact, it took two weeks, but for the RIGHT reasons. David and Tommy were our wonderful installers. David was a perfectionist; Tommy was a super nice and hardworking young man. I am an Engineer and pretty picky, but David saw and repaired a bunch of imperfections with our subfloor (things I could not see until I got on hands and knees and looked closely.) He explained why he needed to spend the extra time to fix the subfloor, and most of this was part of the fixed labor cost I already paid! We brought lunch in a few times and I actually got to meet both of these guys and together we solved the world’s problems.I think Floor Depot was professional and their prices were fair, but I cannot recommend David and Tommy enough. They were top-notch in my book – Five plus stars across the board. Our floors look fantastic!

11/17/2020At 8:20 on install day we received a call from Floor Depot to say that when they went to load our carpet to install, they discovered that they had not received it, ever! No apology whatsoever just provided a new production date with no idea of when it might arrive. Movers arriving in two days and no opportunity to make other arrangements for carpet because of Floor Depot’s negligence to insure they received our carpet order on time for installation as agreed with a $500 deposit no less. Buyer Beware of this locally owned business. We will move forward with a reputable company to get the job done.Description of Work:We ordered carpet on 11/4/20 to be delivered to Floor Depot on 11/11 and installed on 11/17/20 at 8:00. Movers were scheduled for 11/19/20.

Our experience with everyone at Floor Depot was top notch. We started the process of looking for new flooring options back in February before the Covid shutdown. When we restarted the process the 1st of June, JP got us back on track and was very helpful in assessing our wants and needs. We selected engineered hardwood for most of our house with carpet in our master bedroom. The team that came out to install were professional and communicated extremely well with us in each days process and what we would expect each day. This was extremely important to me as it was an 8 day process and we were living in the house. Dave, Tom and Reuben did an excellent job with all aspects of the install and we couldnt be happier. I would highly recommend this company and especially my team !

So as a disclaimer, my renovation was a bit more extensive than just some flooring removed and replaced. I pretty much had my house gutted (all the floors removed/leveled/replaced and one bathroom demod down to the studs). Since my house was quite a bit older, I had expected some problems but we ran into severe leveling problems across the existing floors and electrical/plumbing issues in the bathroom. The team was wonderful in fixing/accounting for these issues. The quality of workmanship on the tiling was excellent. The only thing I can post for improvement (which was more of an inconvenience than an actual complaint) was the communication with me during the process. Since this was an almost total demo and I still lived in the house while it was occurring, I dont think they were accustomed to dealing with that. There were several delays in material arrival that caused work delays. I wouldnt be told of these delays and since I was a single guy who worked outside the home, I needed to schedule time to have someone there or me be there to let them in. Not being informed of delays put some hardship on me when I expected someone to show and no one would. If this scheduling process were refined, they would be exceptional. But overall, I am very satisfied with the work and I get compliments all the time on the great look of the house. With the quality of the work being high and price being lower than the other big brand companies, I definitely recommend them for your flooring needs.

The retail store employees each took time to work with me on my many visits to pick out flooring. Once the flooring was selected, I then decided to also do some additional work (a kitchen back splash and a master bathroom renovation. Every crew member was here when they committed to be, they were respectful of my home and my pets. I went to Floor Depot after a really bad experience with one of those big flooring companies that comes to your home with samples. We decided to hire Floor Depot for our current flooring needs and will definitely make them our only stop when we finish up the rest of the house. The first big difference I noticed was the quality and selection of flooring materials. We were looking at Luxury Vinyl Tile and carpet, and Floor Depot had at least ten times the selection of the other company in these lines as well as wood, laminate, and tile. Next, the managers in the store were very knowledgeable. I worked mainly with JR and Greg—they listened to my concerns and questions to help me come up with the right products for me. They also gave me samples to take home and keep for a few days, something that other company said they would do but never happened. Once we decided on the products, the pricing was actually better than the other company even though we went with slightly higher quality materials from Floor Depot— this in spite of the supposed “60 percent off materials” sale with the other place. Additionally the scheduling process with Floor Depot was flexible and at my convenience, not theirs. And lastly, their installers are employees of the company, not contractors, which was very important to us. They were extremely professional and thorough—no rush jobs from them. I am 100 percent happy with service, our new flooring, and the overall experience with them. I only wish we had gone to them first!

I had been looking for flooring for a couple years but could never decide what I wanted. I stopped in Floor Depot to just look around. JP was so great helping me. I could never quite get a floor color that I cared for.JP knew exactly what I needed.There was no sales pressure. He nailed it!! I was amazed how quick the installers were able to do the job. Excellent installation. Had all carpet in my condo replaced with vinyl planking. Job took about a week and installers were very respectful of the fact that I had to live there. Moved the bed around so I was able to sleep each night and left pathways for me to be able to move around. Cleaned up everything after. Keep in mind that the leveling can add a pretty good chunk to the cost but it’s worth it. Floor is well installed. I’ve walked on floors that were not leveled and you can tell the difference. Definitely recommend.

The prices and selections beat out the other 4 places we checked for carpeting. Their installers were the very best I have ever had. They were fast, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend this company.

We have used Floor Depot twice in the last year. We redid our Florida room and now our master bath. Frank did the installation for both jobs and they came out BEAUTIFUL! We went there To purchase 3000 sf of flooring to be installed. There were three men in the store. We apparently were given the least knowledgeable employee. When we asked how we know the prices he said ask me. Then in under thirty seconds he said well I’ll be sitting at my desk if you need any help. Needless to say, we looked at each other and said we are out of here. No help no service no work

Weve just completed the final phase of carpet installation for our home renovation here in Safety Harbor with Floor Depot and have to say they have done a fabulous job for us. We are thrilled with the quality of products and service, the competitive pricing, the installation of both tile and carpet. We started the renovation process by remodeling (2) bathrooms, the dining room and kitchen with all new tile and they did a first class job helping us through the process, from choosing tile, measuring and installation. These areas were followed up later with (2) separate installations of carpet as we went through the entire house renovating everything, a huge endeavor. Thanks to Mike, J.P., Greg, Brent, Jack, & Frank for helping us through this renovation (Im sure Ive likely missed mentioning someone here, my apologies.) Everyone we worked with dealt with us in a professional manner. Great company to work with, we would recommend them for any tile and/or carpet needs you may have.

I was in their store and one of the employees said, “We don’t get those jobs bc we’re outbid by the Mexicans.” I am a brown-skinned woman and this employee openly and loudly made this statement. I was very uncomfortable. I could also tell they were friendlier to my white husband than me.

Rick and his team did an incredible job installing our wood floors. They were courteous, knowledgeable and neat in their work. Rick is a perfectionist and very skilled at making the difficult cuts needed for our new baseboards. Pricing was competitive and they are easy to do business with as well. A side benefit of using Floor Depot was their recommendation on who to use for our cabinets. JP was very patient with us as we decided on which floor and what color finish. Overall, a very pleasant process with excellent results.

We just did a complete remodel on our kitchen. The cabinet company recommended Floor Depot so we went there. First of all they are all super friendly and very helpful. Their selection was good and even tho it’s been awhile since we bought new flooring we felt their price was reasonable. They went out of their way to work with us on the timing of everything since we had many different things being done in stages. They even shuffled around their schedule so that the floor removal could be done before the cabinet removal started. The installer did a beautiful job and was so great about keeping everything cleaned up as he went. We will go back there when we do the other projects we have ahead!! No need to look around elsewhere!

Floor Depot were very professional and helpful in helping me selecting my flooring for my patio. They were very accommodating when I had to postpone the installation. When I called they came and installed in no time and it done quickly and looks fantastic. I plan to use them again to help me with the rest of the flooring in my house.

Just had 1300 sq. ft. of glue down hardwood installed. So glad I had them do the install! There install team does it right. They took the extra time to level the floors properly to insure that there would be a good adhesion with no hollow sounds! There guys were clean and very respectful of my belongings. Floor Depot replaced all of our floors with LVT and remodeled a sunken bathtub with a walk-in shower. JP was great to work with and was extremely helpful in keeping things on track and reassuring me throughout our renovation process. Joey did a beautiful job on the floors and Frank put in a tile shower with a great wow factor. These guys did everything they said they would, on time, and within our budget. Dont go anywhere else!

Floor Depot offered excellent selections of vinyl plank and J.P. was very helpful. The installers were excellent. The floor is very tight on the seams and artisticly laid out We are very pleased with the result.

My wood look tile floors look absolutely beautiful. Just have to say this company was excellent to work with. The tile guys did a great job and the price was fair. I would definitely recommend Floor Depot for a tile job you may have.

We originally bought our beautiful wood floors here several years ago. Hurricane Irma messed up a section on us in 2017. Joey and his crew used the extra stock we had to do the repairs in an excellent and seamless fashion. We were impressed by their professionalism, craftsmanship and attention to detail. The work was the absolute best. It is not easy to find wood floor repair experts. Believe me, these are the guys you want.

I have had Floor Depot do 3 projects in my home. Every single project was excellent. First project Justin did was the porcelain tile in the whole house. The cuts were so perfect you almost didnt need moulding. Even, straight, level, and cut to perfection. Second project Justin installed glass backsplash in the kitchen. Third project Justin was paired with Frank and they both gutted my bath. After plumbing was completed they both installed drywall, mudded, and installed a new shower pan and tiled the whole shower and installed a floor to ceiling shower caddy for all the soaps, shampoos and accessories. Wonderful job! Cleaned up every night and did a perfect job on all my projects. Justin and Frank were very respectful of your home and Pets. And trustworthy, I had to leave a few times with no problem. Do not hesitate to do work with this company. Jeannette

This company is your final stop shop, they do it all and perfectly. My next door neighbor went with Home Depot and my other friend used another big box similar store. My neighbor had his floor improperly floated and it required an overhaul to get it right. Floor Depot installed Bamboo flooring in our guest/kids bedroom about 5 years ago. We could not be happier with the quality of the materials and installation so when we decided to do the same in our master bedroom, loft and tile in our bath and walk-in closet we never hesitated to call Brent at Floor Depot.We selected Bamboo, tile and carpet for our spiral stair treads plus an entryway to the stairs and scheduled the install date. The installation was somewhat difficult since this was all on the 3rd floor and moving the furniture around to install flooring was a real challenge. David and John, the flooring installers, were more than professional, being very careful not to damage the furniture or fresh flooring as they moved things around to make room. The finished installation was beautiful - we could not be happier.

Buyer beware. We spent 30 minutes looking at tile with the salesman and picked out one that we liked. The salesman quoted us a price and gave us a sample piece to take home. Great. We decided to go ahead with that tile and returned 4 days later to order it. A different salesman gives us a higher price. I showed him the price that was quoted on the salesmans business card. He said that they couldnt sell me the tile for that price ???? So I walked out, big waste of time shopping at Floor Depot.

Being a bit Apprensive about purchasing flooring I was immediately put at ease by JP whos demeanor was so calming. He has a way with words and is extremely knowlegable. Quality product with quality workers who care. I couldnt be happier with my experience here. Satisfied from beginning to end. A Christian company that stands behind their faith and excels in delivery.. Highly recommend!

Floor Depots strength is their installers. The owner (Mike) is the king of the upcharge...keep an eye on him. The rest of the guys there are basically salesmen and will tell you what you want to hear. The place is run like a used car dealership the salespeople are the good cops and Mike is the bad cop. They are a pain to deal with and their products are just run of the mill. May or may not use again.

Floor Depot went above and beyound when the locking system failed on new floors. Kitchen, family room, utility + pantry and two bathrooms. Greg Carr is professional, he worked with us standing by their work and product. Floor Depot employees their own installers (thank you Johnathan and your assistant P great team). Floor Depot has been fabulous from the estimate process to getting the job complete. I had wood flooring placed in two upstairs bedrooms and hall way and carpet on stairs. Joey worked very hard and long hours to get the job complete so I could leave on business trip. And he did a great job. Everyone was very professional and courteous! JP is very knowledgable and professional. I would reccomend Floor Depot to anyone who needs flooring needs.
