Mike is fantastic! He was not pushy at all, super helpful, fun, and a pleasure to work with. He helped me get a little more than for my trade in, filled up the gas tank, and even sat inside the car with me to help me learn how to use all the features and connect my phone to the Bluetooth! This vehicle came with free oil changes for life! The dealership itself is very nice! The sales and approval part was speedy, but financing took a bit to wait for my turn. I also want a super fan of all the add on packages that pumped the price up, but I’m not an add-on kind of gal. My husband is happy I did add on the package though! I also felt a little pressured to make a decision on those packages more quickly than I like to make decisions, but he Chad slowed down to explain and cut me a better deal once he sensed my tension. :) be prepared to spend 2-4 hours for your purchase if they are busy. Lokey is a great family run dealership and I look forward to buying our next car here again especially if Mike is there!!

Search for slightly used car. Friendly salesperson. Attempted to negotiate pricing before I brought my trade-in there. They have thought of a new charge called reconditioning by dealer which jacked up the price by $1700.00. They are not the only dealership that does this but its a hidden charge. Ive purchased three cars in the last two years, this is a new one. Could have made a deal but this torpedoed it.

Recently bought a new VW Taos at Lokey and had a great experience working with Michael Moceri. Michael was very efficient and made sure the process went very smooth. Michael had everything super streamlined, was very pleasant to deal with, and had me out in no time. Probably the least amount of time Ive ever spent at a dealership when buying a car. I also highly recommend the service department at Lokey. Ive been bringing my Tiguan and Jetta here for service since 2019 and the service is always top notch.

I consider Lokey VW to be very dishonest and to completely misrepresent their advertised price. They advertise on Cars.com one price, then when there in person state that theres an additional $3942 addendum, ON TOP OF tax, tag, title, + dealer prep. None of this is mentioned over the phone when discussing the specific vehicle by stock number and the advertised price. When there in person, the salesman directs you to the fine print of the dealer website. Its as if you were to go to Publix to buy toilet paper and would be told there is a market adjustment fee of say almost 20% on top of what the listed price indicates. And no, not everyone is adding an addendum markup; I just called around for the same make/model at another dealer, and its selling for roughly the same advertised price without the markup.

I have been coming to Lokey VW Clearwater for a few years and they always make me feel right at home. Everyone is so generous and my recent sales consultant Michael Moceri did a fantastic job of making sure everything was a smooth process for me.

If I could leave Zero stars that would be most appropriate! What a huge change since three years ago. Me and my two daughters leased cars from this dealership. Both daughters bought out their leases. I went back to check out some new cars and update my lease with a new VW. I have never, ever been treated with such DISRESPECT! I though I was in the Twilight Zone or being punked.......just not possible for a service based industry to be so degrading and difficult to work with. I since have herd the same story from two other lost customers. I have been referred elsewhere and will continue to let anyone and everyone know to stay away from this dealership!

Unfortunately this dealership had the car I was looking for. We asked why there was an alert on the dashboard and were assured it was a feature that was disabled for our test drive and that they can easily enable it with the touch of a button. Come to find out after leaving the lot that this is not the case and the car actually needs maintenance. Also was looking to finance with a specific lender to which I was told we dont work with them they are too hard to deal with. If this was the case and they dont work with them then why would they have that lender run my credit!! On top of that they ran my credit 4 other times to create 5 hard inquiries on my credit. This is the only dealership that has ever done this. Definitely dont go here. They smile to your face and want to help you so that they can lie to you long enough to get you to sign on the dotted line so there is nothing you can do. Very disappointing that there is ZERO integrity at this dealership.

Marcus Carter (with the assistance of Andy) took great care of us over the last few days as we changed our mind three times over the vehicle we wanted to purchase. He was flexible, accommodating, and just an overall great guy to work with. Knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. He’s a great asset to this dealership. Came in for a new battery for my 2008 Beetle and was charged $258. They charged $80. labor. For what takes 10 minutes. Maybe. Not sure what it was they had to reset that they didn’t the last time- on the same car. I’m all for getting paid for performing a skilled service- I’m a hairdresser. This was just plain nuts.

Beware of the $4,000 addendum. The price you see online is not the price you get at the dealership. Our salesman was great, but we ultimately bought from a dealership that gave us a great price for our trade and didn’t add an addendum.

Old car ended up breaking down one too many times so I came here to get a new one. Saw on their website a 2019 Jetta SE with low mileage for $19,500 (discounted from $22,500). I went in the next day to look at it and take a test drive. Was informed that they spent $2250 (“reconditioning fee”) to “completely overhaul” the car’s reliability & interior cleanliness. Went to sit in car for test drive & immediately noticed a nickel sized brown stain in the driver’s seat, as well as many other stains & what looked like dried water droplets on the dash. Drove the car around & once we parked it back on the lot, the salesman stated we could take our $19,500 Jetta off the lot for $25,994. Incredibly inflated with unnecessary fees. Tried talking salesman down, ended up getting the vehicle to a fair price. Manager stated that the discount was FALSE ADVERTISING & not the real price, it had only existed to get buyers in the door. I was going to come in this afternoon to buy it, but when I asked about it, an employee handed me his personal cellphone to speak to his manager, Joe Haig. Mr. Haig then proceeded to guilt trip me for coming in after he had left today, as well as guilt tripping me for coming in the previous day which was apparently his day off. I had an extremely unpleasant experience at Lokey VW & I advise everyone planning on coming to this establishment to find a better dealership that doesn’t use deceit & guilt tripping in order to get you to cough up thousands of extra dollars.

Not sure why 0 stars isn’t an option. I don’t know if I have had a worse experience in the sales world in any capacity.At first, I was VERY impressed with my sales person - he wasn’t pushy, seemed knowledgeable and personable, listened to my needs.Turns out I was sold on aspects that aren’t even true. “We will clean your car inside and out for life. We will make it look brand new.” Never have I left there with even the outside looking clean - and the inside hasn’t been touched EVEN with explicit requests upon arrival.Additionally, there are many features of my car that I was never advised of when the sale was completed.Here’s what happened: I was researching cars - new to me but not necessarily brand new - and came across Lokey. Called and heard about the deals, car washes whenever I want, oil changes for life... turned down other dealerships for these perks and purchased the (brand new) car April of 2020, happily choosing to have the dealership register the car on my behalf.In June I called to schedule my first car wash! Instead, I was vaguely advised to return to the dealership for some “paperwork” with no details... only to find out that it was because they had literally sold me the wrong vehicle - meaning if I were to have been pulled over for any reason, (although I have correctly done my part, been paying for insurance, etc) I would have been in possession of a stolen vehicle UNINSURED. So I took time out of my day to drive there, got my car “washed” while I signed papers, and thought all issues were resolved.Flash forward to April of 2021, while I’m just being an average consumer attempting to renew my registration, I am advised I can’t due to the fact that there are toll violations from dates prior to my ownership and that my name isn’t even on the title in their system. So I call the dealership (who so far has only compensated me with a few tanks of gas and some fake smiles) and I’m told “we’ll take care of this.” Annoyed car owner, unregistered car... I call the toll company repeatedly to think of a way to convince them I own the car and need to pay the (March 2020) balance - only considering this since the manger (new guy cause all of the managers I knew left... I guess turnover there sucks?) agrees to “cut me a check to cover the balance if I get more information.”Well, since then, my numerous calls have been ignored, and “management is too busy” to help make things right. At this point, I feel I need official legal guidance and am currently researching attorneys. This dealership owes me a lot, but at the very least I need compensation for paying their bills. Who knows what’s next!I have worked in the service industry since my first job at 16. I take pride in writing good reviews, giving the benefit of the doubt, remembering we are all people (see my first review of sunshine and butterflies before these storms occurred). But as a consumer who has been plenty patient, it’s only fair to let any future customers know that this dealership does not have attention to detail during the deal or time to spend on any individual as soon as they leave the lot.10 out of 10 would not recommend.

Customer service over the phone upstairs was the worse experience I ever had with a dealership. I repeated why I was calling about 4 times long hold times apparently Jessica was new thats ok. Then Linda comes on the phone and has me repeat everything I was saying, Instead of asking Jessica who was the person I was talking to. I proceed to chuckle in my frustration in having to repeat myself and Lynda ask me why I was laughing and got upset saying that was rude instead of understanding my frustration and everything I was going through. I was trying to explain why i chuckled and couldnt get a word in so I mentioned calling back and speaking to management and she hung up on me. What a great way to escalate a situation and to give a horrible customer service experience. Ashley was not much help either refereed me to VW credit and she took the side of Lynda. I asked her do you think Lynda responded correctly? Ashley is Lyndas manager and she advised me that she would have done the same thing. was very disappointed in this location and this company as a whole.

This dealership is horrible, they lied on pricing trying to bait and switch me. Also they lied on my trade in value...DO NOT BUY a car here unless you want to get ripped off! Then they held the key to my car to try and force me into purchasing that night...plus they had a fake pep rally about their sales goals for this particular weekend...what a joke Lokey VW, I warned everyone I know in the St Pete area to stay away from you crooks...

Worst customer service ever. In there for 45 minutes and I kept asking for numbers and they would never supply them. On top of that, they went into my car without my permission and would only talk to me about trade in. Then the manager comes over and states, I dont want your car slams down a quote on a car I never even talked about. Absolute joke

5 stars is tops but I would give 10 stars! Walked in test drove 2 cars decided on a 2017 vw jetta. Couldnt ask for better salesmen,not pushy. Very pleasant to deal with. Do not make the mistake of going somewhere else for a vehicle! Why go elsewhere when you can drive out with a car still under bumper to bumper warranty for 2 years and free oil changes! They also filled gas tank. Awesome bunch of salesmen!
