I purchased a 2011 Mercedes ML450 from Christian and Brian at Clearwater Honda. Soon after the purchase was complete, a problem was found with the oil. They tried to have their Honda tech fix it and that didnt work. Honda of Clearwater actually PAID to have the ML450 fixed at the Mercedes dealer. Totally First Class! Im a big fan of Honda of Clearwater!

My first experience there was great (Craig-service rep). My second experience was terrible (Duane- service rep). Duane is dishonest, crafty, rude, lazy person. He tried to swindle me into buying a new tire by lying about a nail in my tire. He doesn’t communicate what the issues are with your car and doesn’t review the work that was done. Honda should get rid of him. Plus, I spent $84 for a diagnostic test for my HR-V on a known defect. Owners beware.. failure to tighten gas tank cap will cause yellow engine light, yellow ABS indicator and red flashing PARK indicator. Just don’t panic, there’s really nothing wrong with your car. Honda really needs to fix this defect. Better yet, Honda really needs to refund my money for such terrible service!
We had a GREAT SALES experience with Corey (who we were told no longer works here) the first week that we bought the car we had to bring the car in to have the rotors replaced, which we were told it was a certified pre owned car with 180 point inspection….A month later and we get regular license plates in the mail, we paid for personalized and now we can’t even get anyone to help us with our issue and Matt said he would contact us directly we never received a call from which it has been a week now, now we have to make a trip to the BMV to solve this issue ourselves and pay extra money.. very unhappy with the service we received after paying for this car CASH… overall great car, fun to drive and we are happy with our purchase but in our experience after purchasing, this location isn’t favored..
Excellent service and staff. I was 30 minutes late to my appointment as I initially went to the wrong dearlership, but Craig was very understanding and immediately took care of our vehicle. He further went beyond the required service order to check another issue with my vehicle, taking his time and seeing help to try his best to solve the issue. I brought in my 2018 Civic to get my AC fix as it was blowing hot air. They said my warranty just expired a few months before but theyd look at it and let me know what the cost would be. Turns out the part that needed to be replaced was actually covered under by Honda (not warranty). The AC now blows freezing and I didnt have to pay a thing! Ken was my point of contact and he was friendly and quick with all responses. It was also fixed within a few hours!
Christian was so helpful. I like the way he explain everything. It was very easy to understand everything he talked about with out any confusion. We love our new Honda CR V.

I took my car in for 15 K service. It amounted to an oil change, tire rotation and and engine filter. I declined the cabin filter for $75. That seemed excessive. Was told it would take an hour to hour and half. Took 2 hours.Website said they had shuttle service. No shuttle, but they reimbursed me for the Uber which I appreciated. It would be nice if they offered a complimentary car wash, as do many dealerships.
Jackie was amazing and provided the best service! I never once felt pressured or pushed especially after a bad experience at another Honda dealership. She made me and my girlfriend feel right at home. I will now continue to refer friends and family to her from here on out!
I visited AutoNation Honda for the first time for a 60K mile service. The customer service was top notch - I was able to speak directly with the service technician who was going to work on my vehicle and was even able to exchange text messages with them while my car was onsite. While you can expect to pay (reasonable) dealership prices for the service, the staff went out of their way to find discounts and coupons to save me some money, and never pressured me to get additional service for work my car needed soon, but not that day. One note - I received several emails and a phone call about leaving a positive review online, which I found unnecessary. The quality of service speaks for itself and I wanted to leave a review of my own volition after my positive experience. Just expect to receive several follow-ups after your visit about your experience.

Terrible service. They broke my air conditioner while fixing a car recall. Then, when I brought the car back for the ac to be repaired, they failed to properly fix it. The ac broke again a month later. It often takes multiple days for them to repair the car.

My Service Manager Keth was great. He pays attention to your cars needed service. No negative comment in terms of his dedication to work and customer service and Ill keep him as my service manager for my future car service visits.However, AutoNation Honda Clearwater service department lobby is quite small and outdated. Needs to be improved and modernized. Coffee and Donuts were not refilled. Thats the part they need to give good considerations.
Could not be happier with Autonation Honda. The entire process was extremely smooth. Tyler, Derek and Wanda were great. The whole buying process took about an hour and everything was really painless. No haggling needed as everything was disclosed up front and there were no surprises when it came to signing paperwork. Probably the best car buying experience I have had.

Decided to try a different Honda location in hopes for better service. Went in for new tires and a problem I was having with my key fob. New tires placed (different brand than what I was told - no one notified me of the change.) and key fob issue not addressed. When I inquired about the key they gave a run around answer. Better communication on what tires are being placed on my car and honesty would have been nice...

We are first time customers of AutoNation Honda in Clearwater, and I cant recommend them enough! Best car buying experience to date. We were fortunate to get Jackie Ancira as our salesperson. Jackies easy, no pressure style of sales was a welcome relief over past experiences. She was knowledgeable about every vehicle we test drove, and remembered facts and figures of each, as we switched back and forth a few times. We had a few very minor items on the car that could have been easily brushed off by the dealership, but Jackie made sure they were addressed for us. We highly recommend Jackie!We then met with Wanda Jenneskens to sign the documents. Wanda was a pleasure to work with as well. We had some great conversation between signing documents, and again, there was no pressure to buy extras that the dealership offers. We even got a great dinner recommendation from Wanda, which was greatly appreciated after a long day of car shopping.Car dealerships have been having a rough time of late, due to inventory shortages, but there was a fair amount of vehicles to choose from, and the prices were not inflated. do your homework, and Im sure you will agree. There are plenty of dealerships out there, but the good ones really stand out.
I brought my Honda HR-V in to Automations due to a recall. I called and made an appointment for the day and time that was convenient to me. The service department took my car in on time and I waited while they took care of the problem. Everything went smoothly and Im happy with the service.

They fixed my A/C, replaced a cabin A/C filter, and did my oil change that was due all at NO CHARGE! Thats part of the deal when you buy from Autonation.
My recent appointment for service was due to a recall, for the fuel pump. I have 2019 Accord Sport. AutoNation told me it would be 2-3 hours of wait, so I took a seat in the waiting room and found out it only took a little over 1.5 hours. That was a pleasant surprise. So far so good on the repair. The service was fast, friendly and exceeded my expectations. I will continue to come to Honda AutoNation for all of my auto needs. Thanks again!
Through my process, I worked with Paul McGarth. I highly recommend working with him. Not only did we have so much in common but he wasn’t like the average car salesman you would deal with. He wasn’t trying to feed me BS and put me in a position of pressure to buy. He worked with me to lower my price and monthly payments. Whatever you need, he’ll try to make it possible for you. Just made an appointment to bring my car in tomorrow even though my previous visits haven’t been the best I told her I need a ride because I’m a cancer patient and cannot sit around waiting for the car the girl on the phone told me they don’t do that anymore when I stated I would look for a Honda dealership that gave rides, and I did get a ride the last time I was there but now she says they don’t do it anymore she said well if they gave it to you the last time maybe they will this time I’m hoping I don’t go there tomorrow and they tell me I can get a ride home or a ride back to the dealership when the car is ready because I will not be leaving it. And by the way the girl who took my appointment on the phone today wasn’t very pleasant it must’ve been her lunchtime

My service advisor,Craig L., always treats me well.,I am very disappointed in Honda. I put a compressor in 4 years ago when my air conditioning went out and it went out again. Honda said it was the compressor again.I did not fix it there. it is being looked at right now by someone else. I have a 2007 CRV. I expected the compressor to last more than 4 years!! Thats why I wennt to Honda to have it replaced as I feel they know their cars better than anyone!
Every time I bring my car in to be serviced, I am taken care of by Craig. He is the absolute BEST! He is extremely communicative, friendly, and cares about his customers. When my car was running behind schedule, he advocated for a free oil change for me without me even asking. SOO nice!! :) Thank you for the another great experience Craig!

Our Honda CRV needed unexpected service due to the battery. We were on vacation and stuck at the hotel. We reached out to AutoNation Honda in Clearwater and spoke with Tim in the service department. He was supportive, helpful, and reassured us hed get us back on the road. He got the car in for repair even though it was last minute. Very nice place to shop for a car.They were not pushy or insistent that they had to sell me a car. Jason Austin looked up the types of cars I was interested in and sent me a email with their selection to browse at home.I ended up buying a car private party. But, with any future car purchases, I will definitely start my search with AutoNation of Clearwater.
Autonation dealers are just another way to cheat the poor avg customer. Example: A older 15 yr old car with high miles of 122,000: water damage, and has been in a car accident ( the three worse things that kill u when u trade a car in) but it’s okay for the dealer to hide behind the word “ inflation“ and ask $11,000 for this car; at this dealership. Oh, there are electrical issues and the ac doesn’t work. Good luck with buying cars; the “no hassle pricing” they call it: it should be called bend over pricing. Of course I walked away: but it just burns me that the dealerships and the so called banks that support them, just don’t care. The biggest concern is we can not do anything about it except walk away, don’t buy……..
Had a bit of a complicated buy and trade-in situation in that I purchased a 2022 Civic and traded in a 2012 Buick with all the coordination done over the phone and email and the actual exchange occurring in Sanford and not Clearwater. Dan and Derek did a great job!

I would not bring my car here for anything more complicated than an oil change. Ive been a long-time customer, but not anymore. Ive had my vehicle there twice now for a potentially life-threatening issue and twice they havent been able to figure it out. The car constantly loses its connection to the keys. It doesnt recognize when you are close and doesnt recognize when you walk away. It also occasionally stops recognizing the key WHILE DRIVING. This last visit, they looked at the vehicle all day (even after being able to replicate the problem while I was there) and the only thing they could come up with was maybe a bad battery. I told them that that didnt sound right and they were 80% sure that was it. Well $310 later for a battery I didnt need and the car is still not working properly.

David, Eric, Sidney, Wanda, and everyone with AutoNation and AutoNation Honda in Clearwater were absolutely amazing when I finally decided to upgrade to the Honda Ridgeline RTL-E! They were all so incredibly patient with me as I went through all of the different options - should I lease, should I buy, should I get new, should I get pre-owned, what should I do?! And then I had a personal tragedy occur in the middle of the decision-making process and I could not have been more grateful for how much the team here supported me and worked with me as I went through that as well. I am incredibly happy with the 2021 Ridgeline RTL-E that I am leasing and I thank this team for all that they did to make it possible!
They over charge you for a simple oil change, save your money and goto Walmart, same oil change for 1/2 the price. I know there is inflation but $117 plus tax for oil change and tire rotation. It was $66, for same oil change and tire rotation. Luckily I left before they were able to get my car in the garage.
Service was good and they were nice. I had an appointment and it still took 2 hours. that was a bummer. Will be back though.
This was my FOURTH trip to the service center for Bluetooth and speaker issues with 2021 (yes, brand new) Honda Pilot, and the problems continue despite weeks of waiting for Honda engineer to come diagnose and approve a new amplifier. And, again, problems continue… if not worse. I gave a poor review in the Autonation survey, and the service manager called me and “promised to make it right”. Haven’t heard from him since. I’m close to exploring FL lemon law action but want to give these guys a chance to fix it because I love the car… just hate the audio system. We shall see if they ever call me back with a plan and I will update this review assuming they actually fix it.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! They repaired our recalled airbags incredibly quickly and also cut and programmed a new key for my daughters 2003 Honda Accord. We purchased our own key online and brought it to the service department to be cut and programmed and I was surprised at just how cheap those services were! Ken in the service department is a GREAT guy who is a big help and Chris in the parts department has the patience of a saint! I had to call and bother him multiple times with questions about the key and he was patient, understanding, and even funny. We had a great experience and would recommend AutoNation Honda to anyone needing expert service with a friendly team!

I am very pleased with Customer Service and Finance.The staff was very friendly and helpful.The only issue I had is that a customer walked while I was spending time getting Insurance because of that, I waited approx. 4 hours before I could See the Financial Rep and close the deal; however, she did speed up her end of the process.
I have a 2016 Honda pilot which had a problem with the emission and I brought it in July and after 3 hours, I was told by the advisor it needs more work but they need to order more parts. I called back and I was told there were no records for what needs to be done. The same problem happened again, took it back to the dealer, and again after a long wait, I was told that I need to leave the car overnight. The advisor told me that I need to get a ride home, however, I requested a loaner and he did. The next day, I got a text that the car will be ready by 5:00 pm and on my arrival, I was told the technician needs one more hour to finish the job and when I questioned them about not texting with the New update, their answer is you should have called or texted for the update. Keep in mind the place is run down, and I live 30 min far from the dealer, no water bottles. Very disappointed
Had my battery replaced here less than 2 years ago & it died. Went in first thing in the morning without an appointment to have it replaced under warranty. Was there less than an hour which was great however was told I needed transmission fluid, brake fluid, oil changed, air filter, & wiper blades.. My oil life was at 60 percent so I knew that was not true. Made me wonder about the other items & the legitimacy of what they were saying.
Recently moved from Los Angeles to Florida and I had to get a software update in my Honda HRV so I got to go to the local dealership in Clearwater.I loved the one I used to go in Glendale, CA. They had deals and discounts and I loved working with Lewis there, he gave me the best deals and took really great care of me and my car.Now in the Clearwater dealership they don’t have deals. You pay what they charge. Fine. (The software update was free, but I just asked how much it will cost me next time I need an oil change.)I was helped by Mike and he treated me very well, gave me tips to clean the hard water spots, the plastic of the headlights, etc. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. They also did a full inspection of the car and was great to know that everything is in great condition and what would be the next thing I’ll have to take care for on my next oil change.So… nothing like my Glendale dealership but Mike and the AutoNation Honda Clearwater took good care of me as well.Thanks!Yael ~

I brought my 06 CR-V in for a recall repair of the automatic window mechanism. The work was completed in just over an hour and while it was being repaired, I took a Honda Insight out for a test drive. Everyone was very nice and no pressure. Thank you for that!
Worked with Dan Mc and manager Matt. The process was really simple and easy. There was a issue with the car shortly after taking delivery, but these guys were GREAT to make it right as quickly as possible. Super nice to deal with and all of the support staff have been helpful as well. I would recommend for a easy, drama free car buying experience.
My experience at Autonation Honda in Clearwater Florida 10/10! Mike (Financial Manager) and Felix (salesman) made my experience amazing! Mike is amazing he answered any questions I had about leasing my vehicle and made the process smooth sailing and Felix was literally the best salesman I ever met! He knew exactly what I was looking for in a car explaining all the features of the car so I would understand better and also answered any questions I had.
If I could give a zero star I would. The service department is a joke. My 2019 Fit had a recall on it. I made the appointment online a week in advance. In that week, they texted and emailed me 6-7 times to remind me of my appointment. I got there at 7:30 am for my appointment only to find out they dont have the part. I will need to reschedule. WHAT?????...He said if you make your appointment online they dont know to order the parts!?...But yet, they have time to email and text you reminding and re-reminding you of your appointment???...SHAME ON YOU AutoNation...You have hired incompetent employees...And the service manager needs fired too..I will never buy another car here!!!!

Made an appointment to get an oil change at 5 pm. I was hesitant because of the time. The entire appointment took an hour! Super happy. Service was great.
So I decided it was time to buy a new car and I have wanted a Honda Fit for a few years now and since they sadly decided to discontinue that model, this was my last chance. I am glad I made that decision because it is the most comfortable car I have ever owned. I have sat in them before and that is what made me fall in love. My Honda car expert Tyler was extremely attentive and communicated all the details throughout the process so I knew what was going on at all times. He was very knowledgeable and knew all of the most important selling points that make Honda stand out from all of the other car companies. I couldnt have asked for anyone better. Finally of course, the last step was to go over all of the final finance options and Mike walked me through a multitude of options to find the one to best fit my lifestyle and budget. He had me laughing the whole time and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend any and everyone to come to this dealership to buy a car. You will feel welcome and have no pressure at all.

Bought my 2016 Honda Civic LX from them. At first all looked great no accidents or anything on the record. The back right passenger door has scratches you can see under the paint meaning a bad repair (noticed after purchase). Within the first 2 weeks of having the car my battery went dead. I called Triple A, they provided proof that the corrosion was way prior than 2 weeks. I called and spoke with the general manager, he demanded it happened during the 2 weeks I had the car and blamed it on “poor care” then proceeded to try and sell me a “new battery with a warranty” for $429.99. After this issue I asked for a refund on my extended warranty they made me feel forced to buy after saying no 3 times. Took them approximately 6 months for them to get any type of refund onto my loan. They kept “losing” my paperwork and couldn’t find who did it. Very poor customer service and would recommend to anybody that I know to never go there. Worst car buying experience I’ve ever had.
If I could leave zero stars I would- Awful is the first word that comes to mind when I think of my buying experience from this specific dealership on 3/31/2021. I purchased a 2021 Honda Accord specifically asked mike in finance to add wheel package as it came in handy on my 2019 passport I was trading in. Late night, last day on the month had my two small kids with us, so a rushed deal. When I went home I realized he didn’t even print out the contract so had to reach out over that. Refinanced for a lower rate 4/29/2021 on 6/7/2021 emailed Dustin Brotherwood to get my refund for Honda care (which I never wanted I asked for the wheel and tire and gap). It’s been a nightmare. Filed a complaint with corporate Honda, to find out today 8/5/2021 they still not have sent my request for my refund…. Absolutely disgusting will never buy another vehicle or recommend AutoNation Honda of Clearwater to anyone I know.
