Dan is an EXPERT on the 2J and has knowledge around all things motorsports. His shop is awesome, and he is a super nice guy that will educate you on what he is doing and why it should be done. I took my IS300 here for timing belt/water pump, all seals and gaskets, coolant flush, spark plugs, oil change and belt tensioner upgrade. Car runs amazingly and quick turnaround. Couldnt recommend FSM more.

Spoke to Dan at FSM for about 2 hours on the phone today. Very knowledgeable when it comes to any JZ platform. He answered all my questions and then some. Can’t wait for my Distributor Delete and coil on plug kits to come in. Luckily FSM is very close to my house so if I need any support I know I can count on them. I will 100% be purchasing more parts for my 2JZ build from FSM, and you should too!

Dan seriously is THE BEST for any of your Japanese vehicle repairs. My boyfriend recently purchased an IS300 from a private seller. He had it for about 48 hours and it drove fine before it took a turn for the worst. Both my boyfriend, my father (who is a mechanic) and myself were all stumped as to what was actually wrong with it and what the true problem really was. A friend mentioned Dan to my boyfriend and he was more than kind about him dropping his car off after hours. After two long and tedious days of working on the IS300, Dan finally brought it back to life!! He worked his butt off trying to get it done as soon as possible and kept us up to date on it every step of the way. I would recommend him and his shop to anyone I know! Hands down, Dan and First State Motorsports are our go to for any vehicle issues now. We cannot thank him enough for all of his hard work!

I had an engine swap performed on my 95 civic by Dan at First State Motorsports. He is very friendly and was thorough in explaining everything to the customer. Dan sourced all the parts for the swap and performed the swap. He even cleaned out the engine bay because it was filthy with oil which shows the pride he takes in his work. The swap is very clean and the parts he uses are all OEM. In addition, Dan specializes in fabrication which is what impressed me. As soon as you walk into his shop you can tell that he knows cars. I will be returning to First State Motorsports for all of my future needs because finding a reputable trustworthy car shop is important, and Dan at first state is just that.
