This was my 1st time ordering from Urban Stead Cheese. I used their website and I thought it was very user friendly and easy to navigate.I ordered two charcuterie trays for back to back gatherings and they were delicious! They provide the perfect portions and dont skimp on anything. I love that they will bring your order out to the car if you request it. Overall if youre in search for a great charcuterie board for an event at a fair price, this is your place!

I really had a good time here. The bar atmosphere was great; there was a good beer selection, and these guys really know cheese - they make lots of it here and it is fantastic. Urban Stead is an easy walk from Madison Road, located on Woodburn (behind Saint Francis DeSales) and there is plenty of safe, free parking behind.Oh ya - the cheese curds are phenomenal.

Excellent locally made cheeses. Great addition to the Greater Cincinnati food scene. If you like wine & really good cheese, this should be at the top of your list.

Really wonderful neighborhood spot! The owners take special care to curate the perfect cheese selection (that they make in-house) and wines which will all pair perfectly with anything you choose on the menu.The ambiance feel more like a cafeteria than a fancy wine and cheese bar, but I love it.Big tables are great for groups and you can see the cheese room where all the magic happens. Highly recommend!

My wife Megan & I got married on 8/22/20 and chose Urban Stead Cheese Co. as our lights snacks provider for happy hour between the ceremony & reception. Were local to the Walnut Hills area as we live right down the street from Urban Stead, not to mention Megan loves a great charcuterie display. What better way to delight our guests that to go with the experts over at Urban Stead. From the first phone call with Andrea the process of deciding what we wanted our displays to look like was extremely easy. We knew we made a great decision with Urban Stead, when at the end of the Happy Hour there was nothing left. To tell you the truth Megan & I didnt see a single piece of cheese, but we wouldnt have had it any other way because it means our guests were loving it! I dont know where to start.I. love. this. place.My local friend Jon brought me here, and I couldnt be more pleased.These people know cheese. They make the cheese here, and they clearly love it. Not only does the cheese taste wonderful, the owner and employees are more than happy to tell you all about how its made and why it tastes how it tastes.The full bar just adds icing to the cake.Brittney served us. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. She had me try a sample of cheese curds, finished just minutes before. They were delectable. Then she directed me towards the perfect plate of meats, cheeses, pickels, and fruits. Awesome.Before long, the owner, Andrea, was behind the bar, breaking open a new cylinder of cheddar (Sorry, Andrea, I know its not called a cylinder. You even told me its name and the story behind that... but my memory, like my friend Jon, isnt so sharp anymore).Spartan and clean accommodations, they are dedicated to great cheese and great service. Keep it up, folks - Im hooked after one visit only.Also, the little ghost-cracker for Halloween was a very nice touch.Geeze... I might be smitten

Seriously good cheese. The sun-dried tomato quark is to die for, its addicting. Their gouda is one of the best Ive ever had. And for high-end cheese, the prices are really quite fair. Owner is very friendly.

I’ve ordered cheese boards from Urban Stead on multiple occasions and every time I’ve been blown away by the quality and artistry. Top notch cheese — I especially love the Gouda and Tomme d’Evanston, but every I’ve tried is fantastic. Cheese boards are colorful and flavorful and an incredible value. Very highly recommended.

Incredible staff and great addition to the Walnut Hills/Evanston area. Great place to have a drink, eat some locally made cheese (how cool is that) and even take cheese and other locally made products home. Cant wait to see what else the owners have in store for the shop.

The quark and the gouda are delicious! I ordered a cheese board and a bottle of wine last night on fairly short notice and it was a great experience.The online ordering was convenient and my items were ready quickly and brought right out to my car. Thanks!

Incredible food, cocktails, and service!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! We came in for a small baby shower/birthday dinner and the owners went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We ordered the Mother Board, pimento cheese, and the pretzel/beer cheese combo. Everything was delicious. The owner is clearly knows what shes doing. She brought over the mother board and explained everything and suggested combos/answered all of our questions. We ordered a few bottles of wine which were fairly priced. We forgot a lighter and cake cutting/serving tools and they were brought right over.The food is amazing. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and personable. I will definitely be back!

We selected the cheese board and added one additional cheese. The portions are very reasonable and this was way too much for just two of us (whoops but yeah for leftovers). We enjoyed all 4 of our cheese selections but my favorite was the honey blueberry quark. All cheese is made in house! The accompaniments on the board were also so good. Happy with the wine and beer selection. Overall a great place to pop into mid afternoon for a snack. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. For any families reading the review bring your own booster for little ones. We will certainly be back for both dine in and carry out.

Thank you for the squeakiest cheese curds Ive ever eaten! Ive only been here once and the staff was super friendly and polite. The place looks cool. Ill have to stop back when I have time to stay for a beer also.

Blown away by the squeaky cheeses. So good. I literally ate a pound of curds the first time I was there. And I mean literally in the literal sense of the word literal. I cannot express how good this cheese was.Loved the environment and the staff and they have a great wine selection.Also, you can watch the cheeses being made which is actually more interesting than you might think. Totally worth a visit!

Great wine and beer selection! We got the Gouda, Blueberry and Honey Quark, and the Camembert. All the cheeses were so good and the fruit/pickled offerings on the side were a perfect pairing. The only things I didnt like were that they dont give enough bread to eat all the cheese (so youll have to ask for more) and it took so long to get the board! We waited more than 30 minutes to get our board and it wasnt too terribly busy. Would recommend overall for a relaxing evening

Great new, local spot. Its so interesting that they make their own cheese. Cheese board is a great value for what you get. This will really be a hot spot once the neighborhood picks up. Would love to see some later hours, too.

Guess my review got deleted. Whatever you do do not work here. You won’t make any money and it’s definitely not 15-20 an hour going home with $5. I was disrespected by the owners on my 4th day. Heard lots of people have left the place.

We had the cheese sampler and it was all amazing! Great drinks and beautiful presentation on cheeses. Beautiful decor inside and laid back atmosphere! We will make an excuse to return!

Awesome cheese. Gouda, camembert, cheese curds, all on point. Each has a distinctive quality to it, and all are better than what you could possibly find at any grocery store. Also, wine and beer stocked bar with specialty cocktails to boot. highly recommended.

I love this place. Charcuterie boards are works of art. Great staff. I look forward to seeing the depth of their cheeses as the continue to age.

The customer service here was THE worst I’ve ever experienced.My salon was hosted an event in which we were suggested to use Urban Stead. When we went for the tasting, the co-owner Andrea was requested. We simply introduced ourselves and we told (yelled at) that she didn’t have time to talk to us ‘right now’. She ended up having time to service other tables, and finally (after we were ready to check out) came around to us.Her husband and her waitress saved the appointment. Against our better judgement, we proceeded to place a hefty order for our event (Cheese and a case of wine). I’ve never seen such blatant disrespect. She failed to notate the correct pick up time. She took a supreme attitude that her staff would be “inconvenienced” and ‘that wasn’t fair’ because we weren’t able to pick it up when SHE wanted us to. She ended up having to deliver our order instead of it being picked up. Then had to audacity to disrespect our establishment upon delivery. I don’t know if this was based on the fact that we were minority women or it was something else. But I/we will NEVER patron this establishment again.

A very lovely addition to the Walnut Hills area! And very friendly people. I cant believe I never noticed this place before.

This is a wonderful local business, delicious cheeses and a great group of people.

I stopp in here every couple of weeks for the Quark. Urban Stead is the only place in the tri-state actually makes their own quark. And is incredible. They use locally sourced milk and make all their own cheeses. They are not a cheesemonger. They are a cheese maker. The owner and head cheese maker is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. And she is there to help you understand the products and help you understand why they are such high quality and so tasty. In an effort to shop local this is a Shining Star in Cincicnnatis Urban Renewal.
