We had a contractor from Rite Rug install our laminate flooring only a year ago! Since then … it’s cracked IN SEVERAL SPOTS because the crew did not level the floors before installation or let us know we needed to have it done before hand! We spent so much money on this flooring for it to be trashed after a year! They also came back & installed a landing area for us & put in quarter round & it was only installed using caulk… plus it’s crooked from not leveling the floors before installation again. Awful. Just awful. Plus they brought a transition piece that does not match our flooring color AT ALL. how is this place still open?

The company lacks basic customer service. I called over five times and spoke to several individuals and no one seems to be knowledgeable enough to help. And one person who committed to calling me back, never did. How do these companies get away with such poor customer service?

Do yourself a favor and avoid RiteRug at all costs. I have never had such a poor experience trying to spend money in my life. It took 2 MONTHS to finally get a call back and an appointment set up for a measurement. Does the rep show up for the appointment? Nope. I call, and of course get a voicemail (you will NEVER get a person to answer the phone). Finally get a call back and am told “sorry, I had it down for a different day”. Ok. I decide to give them another shot. Make another appointment for several days later. Rep shows up this time, however he is 20+ minutes late. No call to say he was running late, or anything. Measures the floor and I proceed to pose the order. I’m told the flooring will arrive in 5 days. 2 weeks goes by, and I decide to follow up. Of course, I get a voicemail. Finally get a call back and am told they would have to look into it and would call me back. I get an email later that night saying the flooring is no longer available, and I’ll need to pick a different option. Mind you this is 2.5 MONTHS after the start of this debacle, and 2 weeks after ALREADY PAYING for the product. I’m pretty upset at this point, as you can imagine. I then set up another appointment with a rep. Does he show up? Nope. I called and, you guessed it, got a voicemail. He FINALLY calls me 50 minutes AFTER our scheduled appointment and says he is on the way. I laughed and told him to forget it. I’m done trying to entertain the thought of giving them the business. Please don’t make the same mistake I did, and give them a shot. You will most certainly regret it!! ZERO communication, no follow through, no professionalism and obviously no organization. Stay FAR, FAR away from this place!!

Overall, the process was easy and went smoothly. The installers were courteous, worked quickly, and the end results were great. The only complaints were the coating of heavy dust left in the room and the trail of carpet fibers left from the room to the front door.

Sells very poor quality carpet at a huge mark up. They are not upfront on the quality of the carpet and you have to go through 2 people to get answers. So horrible that a $2500 upgrade is worse than what you can get at lowes or home depot. They offered to replace the same carpet but we will have the same issue and would only give me $890 towards an upgrade to still poor quality. They will not work with you on resolutions. Just say they cant do anything. Never buy shaw carpet or from rite rug. They a scammy sales people that say your carpet will last about 10 years if you upgrade and you think you are getting better than builder grade that way. Nope. 25 oz carpet for a $2500 upgrade.NEVER EVER buy from this company. If you build.. dont upgrade and plan to replace in a year.

Made an appointment for a warranty review. They gave me window between 12-4pm with a no call no show. I Called and left a message same day. Now almost 2 weeks later, 2 messages left and still no call back. I can’t file a warranty claim with carpet manufacturer without installer making the claim for me. Bad business practices. Do not recommend.

Sells very poor quality carpet at a huge mark up.They lie about quality of carpet. Upgrades are still horrible. So never upgrade and plan to replace anything you get from them in a year.They will not work with you and you have to go through multiple people to get answers

Worst experience ever! The sales man was absolutely wonderful. Polite, courteous, punctual, but when the day came for the crew to install our new carpet it was awful. We have a baby that naps, pets to put away, etc, and were insured someone would call first to let us know they were on their way. Well they finally showed up at 4:30pm after we made several calls to the salesman since he was the only contact we had. No one from the crew introduced themselves to us. They didnt say anything to me other than Were here to install the carpets. Where are the rooms? I felt incredibly uncomfortable with them in our home after such an unprofessional interaction . They left our front door open for extended periods of time. Its 87° outside . Our air conditioner is running, and I had previously told them that we have pets. I would understand if they had no knowledge of the pets, and they left it open to carry items in, but that wasnt the case. They just left it opened. They were incredibly careless when moving our furniture. They scratched our sons crib in multiple spots as well as his dresser. On the invoice we clearly stated to pay 50% up front and 50% when the job was finished, but when we looked at our bank statement, they charged us the whole amount before the project was even started. Theyre still installing the last bedroom. I can only imagine what this work will look like after all of this hassle. Never ever again*Update*The crew left without a single word after doing only two out of the three rooms. Both my husband and myself were home. They just left. So after calling the salesman to let him know what had happened, he called the crews boss, who then called the crew and they wouldnt answer their phone. So the job isnt done, and my childs furniture is a mess. It has been passed up the ladder. We are waiting to hear when another crew is going to finish the original job, and a customer representative is supposedly coming out to look at the damage they did to our furniture. After all is said and done, its going to take multiple days, crews, and a customer service representative all coming to our home for what shouldve been a simple four hour job. I really hope they make this situation right.Second update:No one from the company has contacted us to help make this right. Our sons crib was torn up so badly we had to buy a new one. They scratched the trim in the hallway. The second crew that came to finish the job that the first crew left unfinished asked to borrow my broom, and vacuum, and broke the leg to a dresser that I inherited from my grandmother. Please please avoid this company.

RiteRug is absolutely TERRIBLE. I called to ask some questions and never got an answer - I had spoke with a man after calling several time and he said Hold on, hold on and hung up the phone. When I called back to ask why he hung up on me, he said he was about to call me. We had vinyl scheduled and they had it mixed up with someone elses so they were not able to complete the work because they would not have enough vinyl. After the worker told us he would have to call his boss and call us back, he NEVER called us back to give us any sort of update. I then called around 4:00 and got ahold of an office worker for an update on what was going on, she said she would reach out to the Installation Manager and call me back. Guess what? She NEVER called me back and it was after hours at this point and still no update... Thanks RiteRug for your excellent service...

Installed my carpet and damaged my woodwork and walls. Would not respond to requests to inspect for repairs. Called BBB and they refused to reimburse for repair costs. Very dissatisfied!

MI Homes uses this company for carpet when building my new home. There was very noticeable carpet seams that they should blend over time. At the 90 day walkthrough they sent someone to to the repair but was unable to fix it and told us to wait until 1 year. At the one year where they are still responsible for the repair they have rite rug come out again to try to repair it. The guy they sent was unable to repair it and they sent someone else. The next person they sent told me they did not schedule enough time and would come back another day when they could give him 6 hours to fix the repair. I called to reschedule and was told that they would send someone else because they couldnt pay him for 6 hours to repair it. The next guy who came out was supposed to be the supervisor. They scheduled a time Window from 8-10 And nobody showed up. I called and was told the guy had a flat tire and would be there in 30 min. That didnt happen!! It was around 2pm when someone showed up and it was the guy who couldnt fix it from the 90 day inspection. They told me the supervisor was still coming and could be there by 3 or 4. The supervisor never came and they said they had to reschedule.this day alone I waited 8 hours for someone to show up! The next time they wanted to come on a Saturday so it would be more convenient for the supervisor to come out some he is so busy. Scheduled this visit with a Window of 9-11. Again nobody showed up!! They finally called me around 1pm and said they were running behind. The two men that came were very nice and finally able to fix it. Of course the supervisor still never came. I have taken off multiple days of work and sat around many hours just waiting on people to do a simple repair. If I would of known it was such bad custamer service I would have just paid another company to do the repair. It honestly would have be alot cheaper then all the time I had to take off work!! I would never recommend this company because none of this would have happened if they would have laid the carpet down the right way to begin with. Too bad it doesnt let you rate then 0 stars.
