The Spun team helped me with a folding bike I had just bought that needed adjustments. On my first visit to Spun 5 years ago, I walked in and said I was looking for some kind of road bike. Dom took the time to explain all the different types of bikes and let me ride them all. I ended up choosing a cyclocross bike and stayed after hours chatting about bikes with my new friends Dom & Judi.They don’t care what you ride or how much spandex you own. It’s a pretty serious contrast to the vibe you get stepping into a stuffy corporate bike shop.It’s simply the best place for bikes, parts, and repair.

Judy and Dominic rebuilt an old steel bike for me that I just couldn’t part with. I love the bike even more now. All new components and painted frame. Great design and attention to detail. They are a lovely small biz that I like supporting. Highly recommend!

Spun is awesome. I have a mountain and a road bike that I get serviced there and have bought accessories (helmet, clips, etc) from them as well. Dom and Judi are always super accommodating and straight forward with expectations in terms of timing of repairs (they always seem to over deliver).I also can’t say enough about their honesty. I ride Cannondale which is not a brand they carry. Had some issues after a pretty bad wreck. Instead of going outside their normal supply base and costing me more than it should have, Dom actually directed me to another local shop that had better pricing on parts I needed. That kind of service will keep me coming back always.

First time I ever dealt with Spun, there wont be a second. Try some better phone etiquette, every other bike shop in town was pleasant to speak with.Edited: Dropping to one star because now they are trying to argue with me in the reply to my review and they felt the need to literally call me unsolicited to argue more. Apparently the most important thing for Spun is to defend themselves rather than ask why a customer was unhappy. Im not your dude bro, I was a potential customer.

Spun is the best bicycle shop in Cincinnati.Owners Judi and Dom are two of the nicest people on the planet, and the excellent work they did to my bike is unparalleled. I took it in to have the brakes fixed and for a tune up, and they somehow made an 8-year-old bike ride like it was brand new, I dont even remember the bike riding this well when I bought it new. Because of their years of experience and expertise, I trusted them to make changes to the bike to improve it, and they exceeded my expectations 10 times over. I didnt even realize I needed a new shifter, but they suggested it and told me why it would be better, and they were right.They shared with me the cost of each part before they added them, got my permission, and quoted me a price on labor. I tried to hide my astonishment when they gave me the final low price since they essentially gave me back a brand new bike. All of this took place during a global pandemic, and they were wearing gloves and masks and only doing business on the sidewalk, which I greatly appreciated. Their safe business practices made me feel more at ease.So long as I live in the Cincinnati area, Spun will alway have me as a customer. Cannot recommend them enough.

This is such an incredible shop. Not only do Dom and Judi provide all the material things you need to enjoy your time on the bike, they encourage you to get into different types of riding as well. They helped me find a passion for off-road riding that has brought SO MUCH to my life. Not only that, they do incredible custom work and completely re-worked my beloved old steel frame bike. AND if you go in to buy something as small as pedals or a lock they treat you like youre the most important customer who has ever waked in the door. Not a hint of snobbery or upselling. Truly a fantastic shop.

I have known judi for maybe 15 years. I was excited for them when they opened the shop. I knew she hated her desk job. As I watched their business bloom, I kept seeing these beautiful bikes that Dominic built up against the brick wall behind the shop. I said One day. As a side note, I am a 7 time rider of the ALC/Lifecycle a 545 mile ride from SF to LA. On that ride there is a team of fixed gear cyclists. This team is tough and impressive, their motto is Fixin to end AIDS and their name is Team Cretin, follow them on Instagram. This ride I spent some time with them and thought Id really like a fixed gear bike. I got home, got ahead a little bit and called judi. Did I mention I live in California? I asked if Dominic would be interested in building me a fixed gear bike. Hell yeah. We talked for a while, I had him check out my social media so he could see what I was about and I gave him a budget and let him go to town. I sent him the measurements from my road bike fit and answered his questions. I never told him what I wanted besides something cool. I think you find a great artist and let them create and you end up with something way more awesome than if you tell the artist what to paint.Well it arrived two weeks ago and I got it assembled last week. The boys at the local bike shop were like puppies watching this thing roll out. It is gorgeous and perfect. I name my bikes and this one is Rooted in Oakland. It is so much fun to ride. I just have to remember Im a distance cyclist. Great shop. Good people. Part of their community. Incredible talent.

I read all the reviews I could before coming here because I wanted to make sure they could work on my Surly Long Haul Disc Trucker and I am beyond amazed at the quality of work and the honest, fair assessment of my front wheel which I needed to replace and they made sure I had the same quality wheel and within my price range. Had a shifting problem with my Spun Masi Giaramondo while on the Ohio-Erie Trail. Milford bike shop could not fix. Took the bike back to Dom and Judi who were very apologetic that I had my ride interrupted. Dom worked on the bike, swapping out several parts and ultimately decided to contact Masi and persuade them to replace - with an upgrade! Dom and Judi then refitted as my original touring configuration - all at no charge!Dom even let me use his bike while I was in town and my bike was unavailable.Ive patronized 1/2 dozen bike shops over the 25 years Ive been riding. It is a very small and tight shop, but they make it work to keep prices low and still have everything you could need. If not, they will get it ASAP. I’m way overdue in writing a review of SPUN, the best lbs in Cincinnati. So yesterday, my rear derailleur cable broke and I limped back to the shop all bummed out cause I knew that they were closing for a couple of weeks for remodeling and that Dom would prolly have to hold on to by bike until mid-January before he could get to it. He has one business day left, today, before the shutdown and he said that he was booked pretty solid with other customers. So, with a million things on his mind about shop reconfiguration, what’s he do, he comes in early this morning and gets my bike fixed before tackling all the other stuff that he has to get done. It’s just how Dominic and Judi are folks. BTW also, D prepped my bike for a cross-country ride in 2017 and this cable break is the first thing that’s needed any attention since before that trip...not even one micro-adjustment. That’s prox 6500 miles that the bike has been perfect. Five stars aren’t enough, but that’s all they’ll let me do.

They are proud to value customer service above all else and it shows. Whenever service or parts are ready I get a phone call or FB message immediately from Judi which is great as you dont want to be without a bike for long! You might think this comes at a premium but their prices are very reasonable!Ive seen them work on cheap old bikes to high end race bikes and they treat each customer with the same level of respect.Also, Dominic can fix anything and crack jokes while doing it. I always get a laugh from the Campy horror movies he has playing in the background.Again, I cant reco SPUN enough. They put the fun in bike riding whether its road bikes or commuters or BMX.
